With more than 30 years of experience in assisted reproduction, Dr. Zeitoun is one of the few specialists with expertise in both major gynecologic surgery and reproductive endocrinology. He is also among the few U.S. specialists in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI).
Dr. Zeitoun graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University in Egypt. He completed his residency at Harlem Hospital in New York, followed by advanced training in reproductive endocrinology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he conducted advanced research on infertility and endometriosis treatment.
Dr. Zeitoun has served as department chair at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, Jamaica Hospital, Harlem Hospital, and Lutheran Medical Center.
Using minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Zeitoun specializes in surgery designed to improve the chance of pregnancy, including myomectomy, hysteroscopic surgery, tubal surgery, tubal reversal, and endometriosis surgery.
Dr. Zeitoun is also a gynecologist and obstetrician fluent in English and Arabic. A native Arabic speaker, he cares for patients from around the world and is trusted for his experience in developing fertility plans that respect the specific religious and cultural needs of patients and their families.
