Dr. Lucky Sekhon is a board-certified reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist and obstetrician-gynecologist who cares for patients at RMA of New York. She is an assistant clinical professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She diagnoses and treats reproductive conditions, with particular expertise in fertility preservation (egg freezing), LGBTQ family building, and in vitro fertilization with preimplantation genetic testing. She also uses minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to treat surgical conditions including endometriosis and uterine-factor infertility.

I cannot recommend RMA enough!! They were recommended to me by my OBGYN and I didn't even research them, I just made an appointment and I am so glad I did! The staff at this location (and at the Madison Ave location on weekends!) is top tier. They are so friendly, warm and welcoming! Every single doctor I saw there was amazing! With the frequency of monitoring appointments, it starts to feel like your second home and they begin to feel like family. I cried happy tears leaving their office!

I had an incredible experience with Dr. Sekhon at RMA's downtown office. I was uncertain about my goals and next steps, and she took time to help me define them and explain the process very thoroughly. Throughout my experience, Dr. Sekhon's team was highly communicative, knowledgeable, and helpful. I am very pleased with the results of my treatment with Dr. Sekhon. In addition to being an excellent doctor, she is a kind and inspiring person, and I am glad I got to know her during the process. It initially frightened me, but Dr. Sekhon's humanity and kind nature made it feel manageable! Thank you, Dr. Sekhon and the RMA team!

RMA's downtown office is excellent, as are all their offices. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient without making you feel rushed. During my fertility journey, I had to visit different locations, and they coordinated very well to accommodate your schedule as a patient. RMA is a community, and I am glad to be part of it!

More than five years later, I still feel hurt, ashamed, and saddened by the weight discrimination, exclusion, and denial of treatment I experienced at this clinic while trying to become pregnant. I was told I would receive no treatment until I reached the target weight they set for me. I was referred to a nutritionist at the clinic whom I found arrogant. Among other things, he told me smoothies were not a healthy choice because fruit is a carbohydrate. I ultimately did not receive fertility treatment here and instead went to Cornell. I became pregnant on my own before treatment even began. Apparently, my weight was not the issue after all. Larger patients have lower reported success rates, and some clinics prefer to exclude us to improve their overall statistics. I would not recommend this clinic.

My experience at RMA was terrible from start to finish. I was clinically overmedicated, resulting in a very low number of eggs and a failed cycle. I later switched to Cornell and succeeded on the first cycle. Their administration is the worst I have encountered. They are backed by private equity, and it often felt as though money mattered more than patients. They billed for procedures that were never performed, so we had to monitor every bill to ensure it did not happen again. This added stress to an already difficult situation. My husband's procedure was overbooked, and I had to reschedule it the day before it was planned. They accept too many patients without caring properly for existing ones. I would not recommend them under any circumstances.

Do not go to this fertility clinic. The communication is so poor that it borders on cruel. They handle one of the most personal issues in a person's life—fertility—yet cannot be bothered to call, provide timely updates, or clearly communicate expectations. My initial consultation lasted about 2.5 hours, but I spent only about 40 minutes actually speaking with the relevant teams, and the financial staff never made time for me. I wanted to leave, but I had already paid, so I had to endure the poor service.

Cold and disorganized billing during the hardest time My experience with the RMA New York billing department was extremely disappointing, especially given the circumstances. I was undergoing fertility treatment while supporting my husband through cancer treatment, a period that was already emotionally and financially overwhelming. Unfortunately, the financial team added unnecessary stress to an already vulnerable situation. My bills repeatedly contained errors. I called and emailed many times but never received a response from the person they described as the ‘head of the downtown office financial team.’ Every attempt to obtain clarification felt dismissive: no follow-up, no accountability, and no compassion. It felt as though we were just another account in their system. For a clinic that presents itself as patient-centered, the financial department showed a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. Fertility treatment is difficult enough. When cancer is added, the last thing anyone should face is confusing billing and complete silence from the financial team. RMA's doctors are excellent, but the billing department needs to reassess its processes and remember that behind every invoice is a real family going through an extremely difficult time.

I had a very disappointing experience at RMA in Midtown Manhattan. My OB-GYN recommended the clinic, but unfortunately the entire process was an administrative disaster. I cannot comment on the doctors because I did not receive treatment there—I conceived naturally—but I had several lab tests there, which were enough to leave a very negative impression. Some of the main issues were: Extremely long waits: You may wait for hours. During one of my three visits, they even forgot to check me in. I waited more than two hours before realizing it, and no one apologized when the mistake was finally discovered. Poor communication about insurance coverage: Explicitly ask the team to confirm whether your tests are covered by insurance. In my case, no one told me anything in advance. I found that unusual because I have good insurance and assumed they would handle it. I later received a huge bill and ultimately had to pay out of pocket. Unresponsive and unhelpful billing staff: When I called, the representative promised to contact the finance department and follow up, but nothing was done. I sent several emails, all of which were completely ignored. Fertility-related appointments are stressful enough without being treated like an ATM. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic.

Called Monday to schedule bloodwork. They said they would call back. Same thing Tuesday. Twice again on Wednesday. Same thing Thursday. Then they called and said the form had been lost. Why did they not say that Monday? We completed the form within 5 minutes of their call. Then nothing. I called again Thursday evening, and they said they would call back. Unsurprisingly, no one did. It is now Friday. Still nothing. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

They were very unprofessional. I contacted them many times after my first visit, but they never returned my calls. They submitted a report to my insurer stating that I had received treatment I never underwent, even though we had not discussed proceeding as patients. It now appears in my insurance record even though it is untrue, and they still have not responded.

They overcharged us $3,000 and have done everything possible to avoid refunding it. We have spent the past 7 months trying to obtain a refund, but they completely ignore our emails. We have called, but they never return calls and the calls disconnect. I believe they are an unethical company that does not care about your reproductive health.

I highly recommend Dr. Sekhon, who developed the best protocol for me. I am 37 and had 27 eggs retrieved, far exceeding my expectations. I had a retrieval at 35 that yielded only 17 eggs, so I expected around 15 this time. That said, they have ignored my emails requesting an itemized receipt, and I have sent about 10. If someone responds, I will restore my five-star rating and update this review. I must submit the bill to Carrot within a few days or they will charge me.

Beginning this process was certainly intimidating, but the experience was deeply rewarding. Although this is an intensely personal journey, Dr. Sekhon and the entire team created a warm, comfortable environment. From the snacks and music in the waiting room to the welcoming, friendly, and patient women on staff, I felt genuinely cared for. Whether I was worried about blood draws or arrived with a long list of questions, they supported me at every step. I highly recommend this clinic and every member of its staff.

The new patient portal is terrible. You can no longer contact the clinic by email as before. The interface is clumsy and extremely difficult to use. It is unfortunate that the clinic tried to ‘streamline’ the process by moving everything to a half-finished system, because it has made accessing care far more difficult for patients.

Dr. Sekhon is amazing! She is knowledgeable, highly skilled, and kind. She immediately put me at ease, and she and her team answered all my questions thoroughly. I can honestly say she is the best. From the doctor to the team, they always smile and are ready to help and support you. I trust her expertise completely and am so glad I found her. My husband and I tried to conceive for nearly 14 years. We underwent IVF and other treatments and saw different doctors. We finally met Dr. Sekhon, became pregnant on the first attempt, and delivered at full term. We now have a one-month-old baby boy who is the light of our lives. We are so grateful to have her as our doctor! Without her expertise and dedication, we would not be parents. We are forever grateful and incredibly fortunate to have found such an excellent doctor and team to help us build our family. 💙💓 After three failed IVF cycles with miscarriages and a diagnosis of PCOS, doctors told me I might not be able to become pregnant. But the first time I entered Dr. Sekhon's office, I felt I had found the right doctor, the best person I could trust to help me become a mother. 🥹 I wish I had met her years ago, but the timing was still perfect! I hope every woman seeking help and hoping to become a mother finds her way to this office and receives the best medical care and expertise available. I absolutely love working with RMA! Working with Dr. Sekhon and the other doctors has been wonderful. All the nurses are so kind, professional, and funny! They also hand out super-cute bandages. The downtown office is in a perfect location and is easy to reach from both my office and home! The office is bright and clean, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

They have been incredibly supportive throughout this journey. I have been Dr. Thornton's patient for over a year, and although the treatment process has not gone as we expected, the care, attention, and guidance I have received from Dr. Thornton and everyone at RMA have been wonderful. Special thanks to the clinical team, who brighten every morning for me—Dari, Kim, Kaleifa, Haja, Kami, and Dani. They bring sunshine to every follow-up visit!

Dr. Sekhon and her team at RMA are wonderful. She takes time to answer any questions or concerns you may have throughout the process. RMA is a large clinic with many excellent nurses and doctors whom you may meet, so you may not see her every time. Dr. Sekhon makes you feel that she is with you on this journey, and we are very glad to have met her and the RMA team.
