Biography
Dr. Owen K. Davis is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive medicine at the Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) at Weill Cornell Medical College and associate director of the in vitro fertilization (IVF) program. He is a world-renowned expert and leader in reproductive medicine and a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and reproductive endocrinologist.
Dr. Davis currently serves as president of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and previously served as president of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology. He has also served as chief of gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College and as a member and former chair of the Weill Cornell Medical Center Institutional Review Board.
Dr. Davis's extensive work and research in reproductive medicine give patients an essential combination of experience and knowledge of the latest advances, including advanced medical, surgical, and assisted reproductive technologies. Dr. Davis earned his bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College and his MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and a subspecialty fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where he served as an instructor in obstetrics and gynecology at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Davis is an associate editor of Fertility and Sterility and has written more than 85 articles for leading medical journals on a range of reproductive medicine topics. He has presented numerous research abstracts at medical conferences in the United States and abroad. He has also authored or co-authored more than 25 medical textbook chapters. His research interests span assisted reproductive technology and reproductive endocrinology.
Dr. Davis is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World. He has been named to New York Magazine's Best Doctors, New York Super Doctors, and Castle & Connolly Top Doctors – New York Metro Area.
