Phillip Romanski, MD, MSc, is a reproductive endocrinology and infertility physician at RMA of New York. He is also associate research director at U.S. Fertility and has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Romanski specializes in family building, including evaluation and management of female and male infertility, third-party reproduction, and fertility preservation (egg freezing). He also specializes in treating patients with prior unsuccessful treatment and diminished ovarian reserve.
Dr. Romanski earned his medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then completed his OB/GYN residency at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital program. In Boston, he was selected as chief educational resident for Harvard Medical School’s OB/GYN clerkship in recognition of his commitment to education and mentorship.
Dr. Romanski then moved to New York City to complete a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Weill Cornell Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. There, he developed broad expertise in female and male infertility, third-party reproduction, and fertility preservation, along with specialized training in Müllerian anomalies and care for patients with prior treatment failure or diminished ovarian reserve.
During his fellowship, Dr. Romanski also earned a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Investigation from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences to strengthen his clinical research skills. He has authored or contributed to more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and numerous textbook chapters on diminished ovarian reserve, age-related infertility, reproductive surgery, and other topics. He was also an early leader in studying the relationship between COVID-19, mental and physical health, and infertility treatment outcomes, and was invited to speak on the subject nationally and internationally. He is frequently invited to write editorials and commentaries for leading women’s health journals, including Fertility and Sterility and Obstetrics & Gynecology.
He serves on the board of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society and actively contributes to several other professional associations. He recently received first prize from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine for work involving a new classification system for Müllerian anomalies.
Dr. Romanski cares for patients at RMANY’s Manhattan–East Side office. In his free time, he enjoys exploring New York City with his wife and cat or training for his next marathon.
