This clinic is great, and Dr. Reddy is wonderful. Unfortunately, I felt the clinic misled me. They assured me repeatedly that they would accept embryos previously created at another clinic. I even sent all my medical information to their lab before the consultation because this was my biggest concern. I spent thousands of dollars at this clinic, only to be told they could not accept my embryos. It was not worth trying to transfer embryos here. However, if you are starting from scratch, this clinic may still be a good option! Update: The clinic worked with me to resolve the financial issue. They also assured me that they are improving their tissue transfer process so this hopefully will not happen to anyone else!

I wish all doctors were like Dr. Reddy! I know fertility treatment is different and challenging for everyone, and I feel very fortunate to have had such a wonderful experience.

After trying for more than a year, we decided to pay out of pocket to see a fertility specialist and met with Dr. Fisher. We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and decided to try intrauterine insemination (IUI). On the morning of our second IUI, my husband's sperm count was back to normal, so we decided to pause. Only then did I look back at his previous sperm count and discover it had also been low, but Spring never told us. They also did not tell me that a trigger shot could cause a positive test, or perform any blood tests to monitor progesterone after the IUI, even though I had all the symptoms of low progesterone. They also never mentioned endometriosis, despite my history of painful and heavy periods before birth control and unexplained gastrointestinal issues since adolescence. When I did my own research and eventually found an endometriosis specialist, they found extensive disease. After excision surgery, I conceived naturally twice. Although the first pregnancy sadly ended in miscarriage, I finally had hope. It is shameful that Spring did not investigate whether endometriosis was causing my infertility, as it is often a major cause. They took my money, performed procedures that were never going to work for me, and wasted my time.

If you are struggling with fertility and seeking personalized, patient-centered care, I recommend looking elsewhere. I initially had a positive impression of this clinic, but that quickly changed. Communication felt impersonal, and most interactions were handled by patient navigators through the app rather than physicians. Note: I initially saw Dr. Fisher and later Dr. Reddy after Dr. Fisher moved to Portland. After being diagnosed with “unexplained infertility,” my husband and I underwent three unsuccessful IUIs, each performed by a nurse. Despite multiple signs of endometriosis, including a severely retroverted uterus and pain during ultrasounds, neither of my doctors at Spring considered it. Another clinic quickly diagnosed deep infiltrating endometriosis, which explained my infertility and required surgery. Spring charged $1204 for a routine saline ultrasound, which my insurance would not cover because Spring classified it as fertility “treatment” rather than “testing.” Combined with the lack of empathy and a correct diagnosis, this made my experience extremely frustrating and emotionally draining. My advice? Advocate for yourself, seek multiple opinions, and do not accept an “unexplained” diagnosis.

Dr. Fisher and Spring Fertility, based on our experience at the Danville and Oakland locations, were amazing overall. They truly go above and beyond for their patients. I live 2 1/2 hours away without traffic and have no regrets about choosing Dr. Fisher and his team to guide us through IVF. We occasionally saw other providers, and they were wonderful as well. I would absolutely recommend Spring Fertility to anyone needing fertility treatment.

I was a new patient of Dr. Fisher, who was excellent, and was later assigned to Dr. Reddy. Communication was good at first but quickly deteriorated, with no response for weeks! Spring was my second fertility clinic. A clinic in Sacramento had found a polyp, but UC Davis later told me there was no polyp. When I went to Spring, Dr. Fisher immediately found it. I underwent polyp removal in April 2024 and paid over $5,000 out of pocket. Dr. Reddy was new at the time. After surgery, I felt completely ghosted. Although I expressed how urgently I wanted to become pregnant and told the nurse how frustrated I was by the delayed communication, I had to step away for my mental health, leaving me discouraged again. I am writing this review now because I am finally mentally ready to keep fighting for a child. After seeing similar experiences, I wish I had written this sooner. I have done my research and can confidently say that I believe my experience would have been very different if Dr. Fisher had remained in Danville.

We came to Spring Fertility after a poor experience at our previous clinic, where we felt we were constantly chasing our providers and important information. We felt like we did not matter. Our experience at Spring was the complete opposite. The providers, nurses, medical assistants, care coordinators, and front office staff were all warm and thoughtful, taking the time to ensure that you feel safe, seen, and supported as a patient. Truly five-star service and outstanding providers who are experts in their fields. Thank you so much, Spring!

I froze my eggs with Spring in 2021 and turned them into embryos in 2023. Overall, I recommend Spring for egg freezing. The process was streamlined and simple, with plenty of doctor appointments. I do not recommend Spring for IVF, although having eggs there creates a catch-22. When we created embryos, our results were far worse than expected because of poor egg quality. At the time, I specifically asked about my endometriosis diagnosis and its effect on egg quality, and I was told my eggs should be fine because I was young (31). More notably, when I suggested having endometriosis surgery before transfer, I was told it would not affect my fertility. Fortunately, I did not listen: I chose surgery and conceived naturally right away. I have heard from several others that Spring is dismissive about failed transfers. It is difficult to know whether their protocols are poor or their recommendations are profit-driven. Part of my concern about their endometriosis expertise comes from research showing that up to 80% of infertile women undergo endometriosis surgery. Spring is certainly better than Kaiser for IVF, but based on my experience and those of others, I recommend working with Dr. Aimee's clinic or Dr. Huddleston at UCSF.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Dovey and Spring Fertility. I came to Spring after receiving devastating news from another clinic that I would never become pregnant with my own eggs. Dr. Dovey and her team were willing to keep trying with my own eggs and showed patience, care, and compassion at every step. They recommended new supplements and a new medication protocol that allowed us to retrieve 4 of my own eggs, which became embryos. I never felt rushed by Dr. Dovey. She always listened to and considered every question and suggestion, and she was willing to modify recommendations after I shared certain concerns or past experiences. When Dr. Dovey was out of the office, I also saw other providers who gave me the same high standard of care. Thanks to Dr. Dovey, I am now 26 weeks pregnant with our miracle baby. We would not be here without her.

The service here is excellent, but I must say my fertility results were somewhat misleading. I had an antral follicle count and an AMH blood test while taking birth control, and it was not day 3 of my menstrual cycle. I did not know these factors mattered until I saw my OB-GYN, who had me repeat the AMH test after stopping birth control, on day 3 of my cycle. The result was more than twice as high. The fertility doctor at Spring did not tell me anything about birth control or timing. She also said I might soon be infertile because my egg count was so low and that I should consider freezing my eggs. This caused significant stress while I was dealing with another medical issue. Overall, this is a good clinic, but honestly, I would seek a second opinion before drawing conclusions or spending a large amount of money.

We are writing to express our dissatisfaction with our current experience at Spring Fertility. My wife is currently undergoing hormonal suppression, but we have lost more than a week because Spring requires an ECG and stress test while refusing to order the tests itself and insisting that her primary care physician do so. This creates an impossible situation. These tests are required by Spring's internal policy, not because of any medical indication identified by her primary care physician. She is healthy, has no relevant family history, and is not obese. Her primary care physician is therefore justified in refusing to order tests without a clinical indication. As a result, we have experienced unnecessary stress, treatment delays, and additional emotional strain during an already difficult process. If Spring considers these tests necessary to continue treatment, Spring should be responsible for ordering them. We hope Spring takes our feedback seriously and reviews this process to prevent patients from becoming trapped in a bureaucratic stalemate that harms their care and well-being.

This clinic truly impressed me! After an unpleasant experience at another clinic, where I felt like an ordinary customer and a source of revenue, I received such excellent care here. Spring was a breath of fresh air. Compared with the disappointing results at my previous clinic, I now have four euploid embryos, thanks to the personalized treatment plan from Dr. Dovey and her team at Spring. I am waiting for the results of my embryo transfer and just received this beautiful bouquet as a surprise. Spring’s efforts amazed and moved me, making me feel reassured and cared for during what can be a painful journey in a woman’s life.
