Dr. Elizabeth Weedin, USA
Dr. Weedin is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist who was born and raised in Waverly, Nebraska. She earned her bachelor's degree in nutritional science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Weedin completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency and reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. During her medical training, she was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies. During her fellowship, she also earned a master's degree in clinical and translational science through the University of Oklahoma College of Public Health.
Dr. Weedin's research interests include polycystic ovary syndrome and the effects of lifestyle and psychological and emotional well-being on infertility. Her clinical interests include infertility, reproductive surgery and use of the da Vinci robotic system, and multidisciplinary, patient-centered care. She prioritizes the physician-patient relationship throughout each patient's journey, with an emphasis on transparency and shared decision-making.
Dr. Weedin, best known as “Betsy,” lives in Gretna with her husband Seth and their three children. She enjoys travel, exercise, outdoor activities, rock and heavy metal music, and concerts. Under Dr. Weedin's care, patients can expect her to find the positive whenever possible—and perhaps play their favorite music in the background on the most exciting days of their journey.
