After researching many IVF clinics, I found Bay IVF. I chose it because of Dr. Polansky's experience of more than 35 years and its many positive reviews. It was the best decision of my life. From our first consultation with Dr. Polansky, we knew we were in good hands at Bay IVF. Dr. Polansky is clearly very knowledgeable. He and his team are caring, kind, helpful, compassionate, and go above and beyond. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Communication was consistently easy and responsive. Scheduling appointments was simple, and I was always seen before my appointment time. My partner and I felt very comfortable from the start. I will always be grateful to Dr. Polansky and his team for being part of our family-building journey. I am now 12 weeks and 2 days pregnant and graduated from the clinic today. My deepest thanks to Dr. Polansky and his team at Bay IVF—nurses Alex and Minerva, front desk staff Erica and Nisha, and the amazing embryologists—for bringing me to this moment. I would recommend this clinic again and again. Here is a glimpse of our treatment timeline: January 2024 - Initial appointment February–March 2024 - Ovarian stimulation March 2024 - Egg retrieval (10 eggs retrieved, 7 fertilized, 6 blastocysts, 4 embryos) May 2024 - Frozen embryo transfer June 2024 - 4-week heartbeat ultrasound We chose PGT and the IVF Duo plan, and our first transfer was successful. I am very grateful to have found this place and may have recommended it to more than 20 friends. Dr. Polanksy has exceptional expertise and extensive experience handling different cases. English is my second language, so I did not understand many terms. Megan and Erica patiently answered every question. 😂 The entire process went smoothly. I am truly grateful for everything the clinic did for me. My twin boys, born in the Year of the Dragon, are now 12 weeks along. They are very active when I see them on ultrasound. 🥰🥰 So cute. I will stay in touch with the clinic and return for my second set of twins, girls. 👧🏻👧🏻 Wait for me.

From our first consultation, we knew this was where we wanted to pursue IVF. Dr. Polansky and his team provide all the information you need to decide whether to proceed with IVF. My wife and I immediately connected with the entire Bay IVF team and knew they would care for us throughout our fertility journey. The entire Bay IVF team welcomes you, works with you, and genuinely cares about your outcome. When you have questions or concerns, Dr. Polanksy and his team are always available and provide honest feedback. My wife and I sincerely thank Bay IVF for our successful outcome, and we are sad to leave. Bay IVF makes you feel special!

Dr. Polansky and his medical staff are miracle workers. We previously attempted implantation with Kindbody, but the care was poor and unsuccessful. We strongly recommend Bay IVF, especially if previous attempts have failed. Dr. Polansky is one of the most experienced IVF doctors and has worked in the field since 1985. It shows. He set clear expectations from the beginning and took time to explain every step. We especially appreciated his honesty, which was important for building trust. It gave us confidence in the process after our first failed implantation. Bay IVF changed our lives. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Polansky and his staff for supporting us and helping us welcome a healthy child into our family. I believe Bay IVF is the best in the field.

Initial review about pricing: The IVF package prices listed on the website do not include the initial consultation ($420), testing ($660), or semen analysis ($510). These add up and become very expensive. They will not allow your PCP to order them, so the clinic can perform additional testing. Be aware that prescriptions will cost about another $4,000. Overall, one transfer will cost about $18,000 whether or not IVF succeeds. There is no transparency and no help with saving money. Review updated after Dr. Polansky's response: There are many less expensive IVF options in the Los Angeles area, and RMA Fertility is much cheaper and offers nationwide service. We have already spent nearly $50,000 on treatment. We had a thorough evaluation with an IVF specialist at SutterHealth. Several issues were identified and treated, and medication doses needed to be increased to obtain good-quality eggs. All these tests were completed last month. We simply did not want to repeat every test. For example, a semen analysis can be done by a PCP, but your representative said it had to be performed at your clinic. I was looking for a way to reduce the burden. This may be slightly cheaper than other Bay Area IVF clinics, but not by much.

My husband and I researched extensively before deciding where to have IVF and ultimately chose Bay IVF because its pricing was very reasonable for the Bay Area and it had a strong reputation. We are extremely grateful for that choice—we were fortunate to succeed on our first attempt and now have a healthy baby boy! Many thanks to Dr. Polansky and Meghan. They were not only professional and attentive but also kind and understanding throughout the process. They truly made our IVF journey easier and much less stressful. Thank you so much for helping us achieve our dream! 💕

Bay IVF helped us realize our dream of building a family, and we will always be grateful. From the start, they felt less like a clinic and more like family—supportive, communicative, and genuinely caring at every step. At our first visit, Dr. Polansky had a thorough conversation with us about our wishes and goals. Together we developed a clear plan that made us feel reassured and cared for from the beginning. The nursing and front-desk staff were exceptional—kind, responsive, and always reassuring. We knew we could call with any question and receive a thoughtful response within 24 hours, making the process easier and more supportive. We were very fortunate that every step, from egg retrieval to insemination, succeeded on the first attempt. We firmly believe Bay IVF's comprehensive approach was crucial. Beyond excellent medical care, they provided nutritional guidance and food recommendations to improve our chances, making us feel cared for as whole people, not just patients. Our first visit was in July 2024, and we welcomed our boy-girl twins in August 2025. We transferred two embryos and both implanted. We remained with Bay IVF until nearly the second trimester to ensure a healthy start. My pregnancy was smooth, and the twins were born healthy at full term! We will always be grateful to Bay IVF and wholeheartedly recommend them to any family hoping for a child.

My wife and I underwent IVF here. Our consultation with Dr. Polansky was very helpful and objective. It gave us hope while helping us understand that outcomes are not entirely within anyone's control. We chose intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). A good laboratory is essential. They offered several treatment plans at different prices, which was very helpful. Dr. Polansky and Megan guided us throughout the process, and we completed more than one IVF cycle involving egg retrieval, fertilization, and transfer. Although we experienced some setbacks, we ultimately had the baby we hoped for. The entire process at Bay IVF was smooth and comfortable. It felt like being at home rather than in a clinic, and we loved the atmosphere. Along the way, we decided not to pursue preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). Many of our previous assumptions were challenged. Our highest-grade embryo did not result in pregnancy, while our lowest-grade embryo gave us a healthy, beautiful baby. We are very grateful to the staff for always being kind and helpful, and we also thank their embryologist. IVF is often stressful and expensive and takes a physical toll on women. At Bay IVF, we felt very well cared for. Special thanks to Megan. Her detailed emails and phone calls left us with very few questions, and whenever we did have one, she was always accessible and extremely helpful. My wife and I are overjoyed. Our dream of becoming parents came true here, and we will always be grateful to Bay IVF. My only suggestion for Bay IVF is to establish a dedicated semen collection room. If you are considering a clinic, my wife and I sincerely recommend Bay IVF.

Dr. Polansky helped create this little gem of a human 21 years ago: Laura Frances Herrmann, named after Dr. Frances Polansky. We are extremely grateful for his work and highly recommend his practice.

Although Dr. Polansky has a wonderful bedside manner, he ruined our lives and left my wife with chronic pain and suffering. During the retrieval, he used minimal sedation and inserted instruments through her bladder to reach the ovary. She experienced severe pain immediately after the procedure and did not become pregnant. Two years later, she still has debilitating pain and has considered suicide. When we raised concerns, we were told that puncturing the bladder during the procedure is common and that the pain was unrelated. We now suspect she has interstitial cystitis related to trauma to the bladder wall. I would warn anyone considering IVF about this potential complication.
