She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and specializes in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Smith takes pride in providing comprehensive fertility care using all types of fertility treatment, including advanced reproductive technologies (IVF, ICSI, and PGD).

A New York City native, Dr. Smith attended New York Medical College. After medical school, she was accepted into the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. During residency, she received a prestigious national award for her laparoscopic skills.

After completing her 4-year obstetrics and gynecology residency, she joined the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Connecticut and completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Following fellowship, Dr. Smith held academic appointments at Creighton University, the University of Nebraska, the University of Texas, and the University of Colorado. Her academic and scientific background, combined with her compassionate approach, is a combination appreciated by patients.
