Dr. Andrew was born and raised in Southern California. He has been passionate about science and medicine for as long as he can remember. In high school, he was one of 3 anatomy and physiology students permitted to dissect, label, and study a human cadaver. He also studied electrophysiology at that time.

 

Dr. Andrew was admitted to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he completed premedical studies. He particularly enjoyed exercise physiology. He also taught anatomy laboratory classes and was asked to proofread and review X-rays, diagrams, and figures for the university's anatomy and physiology textbook, which was published and distributed to schools nationwide. He graduated from the Department of Exercise Science with a bachelor's degree in premedical studies.

 

Dr. Andrew attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of the founding schools of osteopathic medicine and surgery. In his final year of medical school, he met Kaylene. They discovered shared interests in medical careers, family goals, and activities. They married and moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to complete internships and begin their life together.

 

Dr. Andrew completed a family medicine residency at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with an emphasis on gynecology and infertility. He particularly enjoyed training in pelvic laparoscopy for endometriosis and his infertility rotation. This training had personal significance because Dr. Andrew and his wife had difficulty conceiving their first two children. Their experience gave them firsthand knowledge of the frustration, invasive tests and procedures, and emotional highs and lows of infertility. Dr. Andrew and Kaylene have four children. They enjoy traveling, hiking, canyoneering, rock climbing, camping, and scouting together.

 

In 1996, Dr. Andrew and his family moved to Utah, where he joined a group practice in Payson. His office is now located along the scenic East Bay Golf Course in Provo, Utah. He has practiced for more than 27 years.

I did not have a good experience here. The staff do not communicate well. We paid a great deal for a procedure I may not have needed and for unnecessary testing. Dr. Andrew said my husband and I had to travel to Tijuana for a procedure called LIT, which involves separating white blood cells from my husband's blood and injecting them into me. They would not do anything for me unless I completed it, leaving me confused and frustrated. We did not follow his recommendation because I had a bad feeling that it was not right. We went to a new fertility clinic and had a much better overall experience.

They do not have good staff. They are very racist, do not understand people's circumstances at all, and all the staff are rude. They charge a great deal, saying laboratory tests and the process will ultimately cost 40k. My results were negative, but Dr. Andrew said they were all elevated, while other doctors disagreed. Be careful with these people.

Dr. Andrew and his team are wonderful. They were helpful and caring throughout my fertility journey. They connected me with nutritionist Lauryn, who was excellent in helping me through my IVF journey. I was very nervous starting this process, and she supported me every step of the way! She is excellent at ensuring you receive the nutrition you need to give your body the best chance of success.

They do not care at all. My wife and I have been trying to have our first child for 12 years. In August 2023, we flew across the country to Utah full of hope. We arrived at the clinic and completed every test they recommended. We paid the fees and consultation costs. We took every supplement and prescription ordered by Dr. Andrews. After that, nothing. No calls or emails. I tried repeatedly to reach someone, but they ignored our calls. I left several messages, and we received 1 condescending callback. My wife was deeply disappointed and hurt. After we paid the clinic our hard-earned money, they ignored us. Please be careful. Clinics like this prey on desperation. They refuse to communicate and seem offended by too many questions. Stay away.

East Bay Fertility Center is a great place for your hormone treatment needs. I have been going there for five years with excellent treatment results. The doctors and nurses have wonderful bedside manner. I recommend them to everyone I know.

I spent thousands of dollars at other fertility centers, and they were never able to identify my problem. When I transferred here, they quickly found the answer, and thanks to them, I am now expecting a healthy baby. They do have communication difficulties, so you need to be proactive about calling and asking for test results and other information. That is frustrating, but every clinic has its shortcomings.

Gentlemen, Visit East Valley Hormone Clinic in Payson. It changed my life and cost far less than I expected. Dr. Andrew is excellent, takes my feedback seriously, and provides first-rate service. Annie at the front desk deserves special recognition. She is extremely helpful with scheduling, guides me when I do not understand something, and is always friendly and professional, making me feel cared for. At my latest visit, medical assistant Courtney took time to teach me how to prepare and inject testosterone. She made something that initially felt intimidating much easier. She is knowledgeable and very patient. This team is genuinely dependable. They make the whole process smooth, informative, and comfortable. Highly recommended.

To begin with the positives, I greatly appreciate the resources East Valley Clinic provided to my husband and me. We started our testing there and felt we had a complete plan from the beginning, something our regular doctors had not provided. Their hours are flexible, and when we needed prompt treatment, I was able to make several last-minute appointments. The staff are kind and friendly. My dissatisfaction with East Valley Clinic centers mainly on Dr. Andrew himself. Andrew is a nice person and well educated in this field. In hindsight, however, and after getting a second opinion from another specialist, I believe he ordered many treatments and tests simply to make more money from us. These treatments were not inexpensive. He also frightened us unnecessarily with claims that ultimately proved untrue. He told us the only options for hematomas found in my uterus were to pay him $3,500 for treatment or go to Mexico and pay $600. Another specialist told us the exact opposite: the hematomas were completely normal and would resolve on their own. Four weeks later, mine were gone. We were already emotionally vulnerable, and Dr. Andrew made us feel worse because he wanted us to spend more money at his clinic. I would also add that Dr. Andrew is not good at explaining test results in plain language. He used medical terms we did not understand, and no matter how many questions we asked, we still left confused. As a result, we scheduled more tests or treatments without fully understanding what he meant. I still feel that I do not fully understand many of my results and findings.

I have been coming here for many years, and the office staff, clinical team, and Dr. Andrews are wonderful. I do not know how I managed before hormone replacement therapy. It has greatly improved my life. I definitely recommend this facility for hormone replacement therapy.

I went to EBFC in 2022, but from the very beginning, my experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting. I came seeking help and support during a vulnerable point in my fertility journey, but left feeling judged and disrespected. At my first appointment, the doctor made inappropriate and unnecessary remarks in front of my spouse, including questions and comments that felt shaming and deeply personal. Instead of compassion and guidance, I felt criticized and uninformed. This was not the kind of care I expected or needed. Later this year (2025), the same tone continued during a phone call with a nurse, further reinforcing that judgmental attitude. This treatment caused us a major emotional setback and delayed our fertility journey. I left feeling lost and ashamed, with no idea what to do next, when I should have felt supported. Patients deserve respectful, compassionate care, especially during something as emotionally difficult as fertility treatment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

I have been with these guys for over 5 years. At first they were great to work with. However, now it is hard to book an appointment and the follow up is very poor. It took 30 days to go over our blood work and they no longer do phone consults. We called another clinic and we were able to get in that same week.

As both a physician and patient, I can confidently say that Dr. Andrew is one of the most exceptional, dedicated, and technically skilled fertility specialists I have encountered. After multiple miscarriages and disappointing experiences with other highly regarded doctors, he was the only one able to identify and address the root of my difficulties and restore genuine hope. When I encountered problems with IVIG infusions early in pregnancy, his team intervened immediately and did everything possible to resolve them—no delays, no bureaucracy, just action. Too often, pregnant women receive care that is "good enough" because providers focus more on avoiding liability than offering solutions. Dr. Andrew and his team are the opposite. They step forward when others hesitate, ensuring patients are supported rather than abandoned. His staff, especially Audrey, are truly patient-centered. They spare no effort in handling every detail so you can focus on recovery and the future. A team that is not only clinically skilled but also compassionate, responsive, and genuinely concerned about your health is invaluable. Dr. Andrew's surgical skill and technique are equally outstanding. I previously underwent an egg retrieval by a world-renowned physician; it was excruciating and completely unsuccessful. Under Dr. Andrew, the same procedure was painless and highly successful. The technical difference was unmistakable. The clinic's excellence also extends to embryology. Thomas, the embryologist, is meticulous and knowledgeable and remained dedicated to checking embryos even after hours. His attention to detail and commitment gave us confidence throughout the process. In a healthcare environment often marked by liability concerns and impersonal care, Dr. Andrew and his team embody the opposite: innovation, excellence, and genuine patient advocacy. I am grateful for physicians like them and would recommend them to colleagues, family, and friends without hesitation.

Dr. Andrew is the best hormone doctor you could find. He does not simply prescribe medication to relieve symptoms; he takes time to investigate the root cause. He listens carefully and addresses each concern individually, making you feel genuinely heard and cared for. What I appreciate most is his holistic treatment approach. His main goal is to restore your health and energy so you feel 18 again. The change in how I feel has been remarkable. First, I want to state that I have never visited this clinic or met this doctor. I saw that the doctor performs a pelvic floor examination at the first appointment. This is unusual for IVF, and after learning more about this doctor, I recommend that prospective patients do the same.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have found this hidden gem so close to home! Dr. Andrew and his team are wonderful. We are just beginning IVF, but infertility has been a painful issue for me for 13 years. Deciding to try IVF was difficult after repeated misdiagnoses allowed health problems to severely affect my life and left traumatic memories. One week after a failed tubal reversal, we decided on IVF. I first called another clinic and reached a frustrating automated system with many complicated options. Three days later, I called East Bay Fertility Center. The moment Audrey answered, I felt relieved. She was a real person—kind and attentive. She made scheduling easy and explained what to expect. Over the following months, she answered all my questions and always replied promptly to email. When we arrived, I appreciated the privacy: no huge signs or banners, just a welcoming house-like setting. The staff was warm, and even my husband, who fears medical facilities and values privacy, felt relaxed. Finding Dr. Andrews was one of our best decisions. He is honest, direct, and focused. The East Bay Fertility Clinic is awesome! I am 74 years old and have been getting hormone therapy for a few years now. I feel more energetic and happy all the time. My hormone specialist is Dr Holly and I adore her. She takes the time to answer all my questions. Hormone therapy is the best and healthiest thing I have done for myself and my marriage. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.

I have received bioidentical hormone pellet therapy at East Bay Fertility and Hormone Center for 20 years, and it has changed my life. I prefer pellets because they last 4–5 months, so I do not have to manage patches, pills, or creams. I visit about three times a year for a quick, easy, painless insertion. Choosing bioidentical hormone replacement therapy was one of my wisest health decisions. At 42, night sweats repeatedly woke me and made life miserable. I started bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, and within one week the night sweats disappeared. I finally felt like myself again. I am now 62 and never want to return to low hormone levels. I still play competitive tennis and maintain a very active life. Much of my health and vitality comes from keeping my hormones balanced at youthful levels. Dr. Larry is the best, and the entire East Bay team is outstanding: friendly, approachable, kind, professional, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. It is not easy to find a trustworthy bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) practice where you feel heard, unclear points are explained, and follow-up is thorough enough to ensure the expected results or adjust treatment promptly. Years ago, I flew here from California for care. I am now fortunate to live nearby. The doctors and staff at this clinic are excellent.

Today was only our first visit, but if future visits are like today, I will be very satisfied. I am 41 and was diagnosed with endometriosis at 25. I cannot describe the relief of finally meeting a doctor who is not only knowledgeable but also offered excellent guidance for my condition. They immediately gave us a list of recommended treatments. We had been to two other clinics and received nothing, only waiting weeks for a phone call or any guidance.

I love this clinic so much that I drive here from Las Vegas. The doctor and all the nurses are highly professional and attentive. They return calls promptly and fill prescriptions quickly. They provide detailed information so you understand what you are doing and why. I honestly cannot think of a downside to this clinic. I am now perimenopausal and receive bioidentical hormones from them. In my thirties, however, I had my three children through IVF, and they provided highly professional guidance every time.

From my first phone call to East Bay Fertility Center until we left after our first visit, our experience was incredible! I spent 45 minutes on the phone explaining everything in detail to their fertility coordinator. She was extremely patient and kind, and I never felt rushed or that I was bothering her. We then scheduled our first visit. We had previously gone to a facility in another state and had a very poor experience, receiving almost no information or answers after several visits, so we had become discouraged. I genuinely do not understand how anyone could leave a negative review of Dr. Andrew. He spent more than two hours explaining in detail all the treatment processes at the previous facility, his concerns, and what he observed—none of which the previous facility had ever explained. He explained everything in terms we could understand and patiently answered whenever we did not understand. He is extremely knowledgeable and never made us feel embarrassed or inferior for not knowing something. We now have a clear understanding of my health and feel hopeful about our future baby! We are very grateful to Dr. Andrew for his time and expertise. We hope to have a baby in the coming months so we will not need to see him again, but thanks to him, we now have answers and a plan! Thank you to everyone at East Bay Fertility Center!

I strongly encourage this clinic to reevaluate how it communicates difficult news to patients. We received a voicemail containing very sensitive information, then waited more than two hours for a follow-up call. When we finally spoke with Aubrey, if I remember the name correctly, her tone felt cold and detached, with little empathy. I understand that delivering this kind of news is part of her job and may happen often, but given the gravity of the situation, her tone felt far too casual. Learning that our chance of pregnancy was “extremely low” was life-changing news and should have been communicated with greater care and sensitivity. This experience was emotionally very difficult, and I believe patients receiving such results would benefit from a more compassionate and timely approach. Update: They called and apologized to me personally, which I appreciate. I value their willingness to take responsibility for the mistake and be candid with me.

Everyone at East Bay Fertility Center is amazing! From the moment I walked in to scheduling my next visit, the entire process was smooth and easy. Holly and Riva gave me a lot of helpful information, Shonda was very kind while drawing my blood, and I later met Brooke and Kaylie, who were equally wonderful ♥️ I felt that my concerns were genuinely heard rather than dismissed. My experience with East Bay has been excellent from day one. They are responsive and friendly. Throughout treatment, they always kept me updated and were happy to help me navigate the process, even though I lived several states away in a completely different time zone. They were also among the most affordable clinics I consulted. Every staff member I had the opportunity to meet, speak with, and work with throughout the process impressed me. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone seeking fertility treatment, as I was.
