Dr. Inna Strugatsky, United States
Dr. Strugatsky began as a board-certified internist but soon became frustrated with treating only patients' symptoms rather than the underlying causes of their conditions.
She therefore pursued additional training in integrative medicine to become a functional medicine/integrative physician, allowing her to evaluate and treat the whole person and the underlying causes of illness.
She evaluates the whole person through an extensive medical history and assessment of diet, exercise, sleep, and stress. She supplements this information with broad laboratory testing, which may include blood, stool, urine, and saliva tests. These tests assess imbalances in intestinal permeability (leaky gut), digestive enzymes, vitamins, adrenal hormones, thyroid hormones, sex hormones, microbiome composition and diversity, and genetic mutations.
She then addresses the underlying causes through lifestyle and dietary changes, nutritional and herbal supplements, bioidentical hormones, and other emerging therapies.
Dr. Strugatsky's special interests include gastrointestinal health, autoimmune disease, chronic inflammation, hormonal imbalances, and cognitive health. She is trained in the Bredesen Protocol®, enabling her to help patients with early Alzheimer's disease.
