Dr. Richard Lucidi is board certified in OB/GYN and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. In 2010, Dr. Lucidi was named the first director of the newly established division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at VCU Health. In addition to patient care, he enjoys teaching medical students, residents and engaging in clinical research in polycystic ovary syndrome and in vitro fertilization.

Prior to moving to Richmond, Dr. Lucidi was chief of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, as well as the medical and practice director at Tripler IVF Institute. Dr. Lucidi is currently an associate professor in the Department of OB/GYN Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at VCU School of Medicine.

Dr. Lucidi offers expertise combined with the latest techniques only available through leading academic medical centers. Couples who are unable to conceive have many questions about treatment and fertility options. Dr. Lucidi and his team provide consultations, evaluations and treatments for all aspects of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. The center also provides specialized and focused services for cancer patients and survivors.

Dr. Lucidi is an army brat and has moved around quite a bit. After medical training, the Army sent him to Hawaii for four years. When he got out of the Army, he came home to Virginia.

    I had to take my disabled sister to this facility for bloodwork. From the moment we walked in, everyone was extremely helpful and kind! They made our day so pleasant!! Thank you so much!

    Make sure you know which building to go to. I have been to all three and I have gone to the wrong one at least once. Google maps does pretty good indicating which building to go to. Need signage downstairs to indicate what floor the specialty you are there for is located. Last trip, there was no signage, luckily, an employees saw me looking, asked and directed me to the floor I needed. I had an 8 AM appointment and there was no one downstairs at the desk as you come in as I arrived before 8 AM like you appointment tells you to.

    Dr. Lucidi and his team are amazing. From day one, everyone at the Stony Point clinic made me feel like family. They cared for my husband and me with extraordinary compassion and expertise and were always very prompt. After years of unexplained infertility, they helped us complete a successful IVF cycle. From the flexible, thoughtful administrative staff and attentive clinical team, who even comforted me during a minor panic attack, to the caring laboratory staff downstairs and Dr. Lucidi's hilarious dad jokes, everything was deeply reassuring. I highly recommend them and wish they could care for me throughout pregnancy—I do not want to “graduate” and leave.

    This doctor is an ideal choice throughout your treatment. I have known Dr. Lucidi for ten years. He truly is the best, and I feel very fortunate to have met him and his team during this difficult journey. I highly recommend him.

    They are prompt, responsive, kind, and caring. All the nurses and Dr. Lucidi cared for us just as attentively in month 10 as in month 1. It was a long journey, but after one IVF cycle we reached late pregnancy. I would not say I was a good chicken, but it worked. I attribute our success to their proactive treatment, timely answers to MyCHART questions, and responsiveness when I needed a prescription updated while traveling out of state. The baby is due in summer 2023! Thank you to Dr. Lucidi, nurse Amanda, nurse Gypsy, and the entire team!

    Dr. Lucidi is very professional and explains things in a reassuring way. The staff are also extremely kind and friendly. After a poor experience at another fertility clinic, I can confidently say Dr. Lucidi and the entire VCU fertility team are the best in Virginia. I recommend them 100%.

    Dr. Lucidi is one of the best doctors I have met. I came to him after multiple miscarriages and the loss of a baby, and he was extremely kind, compassionate, and attentive. He diagnosed and corrected my uterine septum and cared for me through the first twelve weeks of my rainbow pregnancy. He and his team always answered my questions patiently and reassured me. I am sincerely grateful. His kindness helped make it possible for me to have the healthy, lively, thriving child I have today. I will always be grateful to Dr. Lucidi, his nursing team, and this clinic. You are wonderful!
