Dr. Marit B. Sheffield, United States
Dr. Sheffield is from Oslo, Norway, and first came to the United States to study in 1986. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and briefly worked as an engineer at Ericsson Telecommunications in Oslo before pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a physician. She completed postbaccalaureate premedical studies at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She trained at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and practiced obstetrics and gynecology at Coon Rapids Women's Health, part of Allina Hospitals & Clinics in Minneapolis.
Dr. Sheffield has worked at ParkWest Women's Health since 2004 and is currently pursuing a degree in family and marriage counseling.
An avid skier and recreational athlete, she enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and reading. She has three children.
