A Maryland native, she earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2016 and completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Louisville. She completed her reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the EVMS Jones Institute.

    This company's billing practices are extremely unethical. When you try to resolve an issue, they continually brush you off while their clinicians try to rush you into scheduling more appointments so they can make more money from you. This prompted me to research IVF groups, where I found that Kindbody has a poor reputation among customers seeking IVF services. Many customers have had to switch to other providers to improve their chances of success and ensure reasonable charges.

    Where do I begin? What an amazing team!!!! This egg-freezing journey was both exciting and stressful, but I know I could not have done it without the KINDBODY DC team! Every member of this incredible team went above and beyond to make sure I had everything needed for a successful cycle! To patient navigators Jade and Dorian, thank you so much for responding quickly, scheduling my visits, and ensuring all my documents were uploaded on time! Thank you to Amina for answering every question, making sure I received everything I needed, and running the well-oiled machine that is her Kindbody team. Hats off to you. Thank you to the medical assistants who drew my blood at all my cycle checks and ensured I needed only one needle stick each time! Thank you, Keyana and Tanique; I deeply appreciate how smoothly you made these appointments go. Ultrasound technician Thalia deserves recognition for always keeping me comfortable during every scan and ensuring I completed them without pain. Amazing work! Thank you to Dr. Liu for performing the retrieval and collecting all those beautiful eggs, and to anesthesiologist Lauren for keeping me comfortable throughout the procedure! I firmly believe my smooth recovery was due to this team. Thank you to the embryology team—Thao, Desiree, and Jaden—for answering all my questions and making me feel reassured about the entire egg-freezing process. Finally, thank you to the nursing team—Taylor, Karen, and Tori! Thank you for holding my hand throughout the journey, answering every call, ensuring that I received all my medications, and making sure I took them safely! Thank you so much!     Because I moved and needed a new provider, I searched my insurance network for a gynecologist. Kindbody was the first option listed and was close to my home, so I scheduled an annual examination two months in advance. Two days before the appointment, I received notice that it had been canceled. I had to log into their portal to read the message, which said it had been scheduled incorrectly and that they did not offer that appointment type. A quick look at their website showed it listed as a service and allowed me to schedule it, so I was genuinely confused about what was happening. In the end, I feel I dodged a bullet because they are clearly disorganized.

    August 16, 2024 update: I wanted to update my review. The new office staff are wonderful, and the office's attentiveness has improved greatly. Special thanks to Dr. Liu, Taylor, and Thalia! However, the financial navigator for the Washington area was not very clear. It took a great deal of back-and-forth just to have her note the services received on an agreement they needed signed. This did not look good. I cannot recommend KINDBODY DC. It is difficult to reach anyone by telephone—I waited two hours without an answer—and portal responses are delayed. There was also an incident when I called the emergency number but did not receive a doctor's response for more than 12 hours, despite the emergency nurse calling her several times throughout the night. Because of financial problems and basic issues such as being unable to schedule time-sensitive appointments because no one answered the phone, I actually had to contact the doctor several times for management help. I was incorrectly charged the full amount. Most, though not all, staff were rude, and the processes here are terrible. It takes a great deal to make me this frustrated, but this office's level of service was consistently unacceptable.

    Thank you, KindBody, for helping us create our family! After unsuccessful attempts at other clinics, we decided to pursue embryo adoption. Other clinics did not believe our embryo match would succeed, but KindBody believed in it and helped us fulfill our dream of having a child. Dr. Liu was knowledgeable and attentive. Everyone we worked with was kind, responsive, and helpful. They made the process as seamless as possible and even worked with us to use outside monitoring. We strongly recommend KindBody to anyone seeking a fertility clinic.

    I am extremely disappointed with Kindbody. I live in Washington, DC, and had heard that Kindbody was excellent, so I scheduled my first consultation. My partner and I were excited and logged in for our virtual consultation. My partner was in the meeting for 15 minutes and was then kicked out and could not return. Please note that the provider never appeared. I waited even longer. My partner was at work and very upset. I told her to stop trying and said I would remain on the call until the provider joined. We messaged through the portal to notify them. We both called, but no one answered. Eventually, I also ended the call. Today I received a $50 no-show bill. I am stunned. Not only was both our time wasted, but the provider never joined the call and no one reached out. Now we are expected to pay a $50 no-show fee even though the only two people on the entire call were the patients. First impressions matter. I was told to report Kindbody to the health department, and I will do so after calling to file a formal complaint. Kindbody, stop taking advantage of people who want children. Treat us better. We are human beings, not a source of money when you make a mistake. How ironic. Any doctor gives you up to a 15-minute grace period and charges you if you do not attend. In this case, should the provider/doctor not be paying the fee? They never attended the consultation, while we did. Something to consider. P.S. Screenshots and messages were saved to show how much of the patients' time was wasted.

    Given my experience in Atlanta last year, I was a little nervous about working with Kindbody again, but Dr. Liu exceeded my expectations. She was very patient and attentive and listened carefully to my concerns and physical condition. I am very grateful and also had a pleasant experience with the staff here.

    The Kindbody team worked exceptionally well with our egg donor. They successfully retrieved the eggs, developed the embryos, and completed a successful embryo transfer on our first attempt! Their offices in multiple cities collaborated seamlessly, which was extremely helpful. The only change I would suggest is a small administrative detail. I wish Kindbody offices could schedule surrogate appointments several months in advance, like traditional clinics. We found that each appointment could only be scheduled after the previous one was completed, making medium- and long-term planning very difficult because factors such as surrogate medications, menstrual cycles, and transfer success could affect us. Overall, this is only a minor criticism. It was refreshing to work with a team that cared about our surrogacy journey and provided professional advice and support throughout.

    I had a wonderful experience at Kindbody DC. From the beginning, communication was clear, warm, and prompt, which made a major difference in a process that can feel overwhelming. The entire team made me feel supported and cared for throughout. Dr. Liu is an excellent physician. She is warm, knowledgeable, and thorough. She always took time to explain everything, answer my questions, and make sure I felt comfortable and confident with the treatment plan. Her care was highly personalized, and I always knew I was in good hands. Although I am happy to be graduating soon, I will genuinely miss the staff. Everyone I interacted with went out of their way to make me feel welcome and cared for. I am very grateful to Kindbody DC for guiding me through this journey with such kindness and professionalism.

    I have to admit I was very nervous about using Kind Body, but it was the provider authorized by my company, so I had no choice. The moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. Everyone was wonderful, from the front desk and assistants to the fertility specialist. Resources for our journey were readily available, and I must have asked countless questions through the portal; they were always responsive. I am glad someone introduced me to this company, and I would recommend it to others.

    The care I received was fine, but their billing process was infuriating. I paid my portion when I visited in May 2024. My insurance later denied the claim, so I had to pay an additional $200 in June 2024. Then, for no apparent reason, I received an email in March 2026 saying I now owed $233. I checked my account and saw no charge. I messaged them, but they ignored me. When I called, the representative was rude and blamed me for not checking my account regularly. After I pressed him, he said KindBody had migrated to a new system, which triggered the new balance email. During our call, the charge miraculously appeared in my account, and he tried to convince me it had always been there. His attitude was terrible and extremely frustrating. I still do not know why I owe this additional amount or whether they will suddenly charge me again years from now. Stay away and go elsewhere.

    Update: Regina and Minnie were wonderful and quickly resolved my issue. I would give their clinical team five stars. However, because of their financial counselors and billing practices, I can only give them one star. They told me I needed to pay a 50% deposit for my intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedure. I contacted my insurance company, which said this was incorrect because IUI is considered a surgical procedure and would be fully covered. After repeated discussions with Kindbody, I still paid the 50%. Two weeks later, I received an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from my insurance company showing that the charge had been paid in full and that I owed nothing. I asked for a refund but was told I had to wait until the insurance company paid for an outpatient visit after my IUI. My insurance plan covers outpatient visits, so I do not understand why they will not issue a refund, but I now feel they have charged twice. I was supposed to begin an IVF cycle, but I refuse to pay anything until they refund me. Like many previous reviews have stated, Kindbody does not care about patients; they only care about money.

    My husband and I completed a full IVF cycle at Kindbody a few months ago. We were deeply impressed by the doctors, nurses, and all the staff at this clinic. We graduated from the clinic several months ago and have missed them ever since. Our care team always responded promptly to our questions and treated us with great respect. They showed my husband and me tremendous empathy and compassion. The egg retrieval and transfer also went very smoothly. I am now at a general OB-GYN practice, and I truly miss the Kindbody team. For my next pregnancy, I will definitely return to Kindbody.
