Dr. Anthony M Deangelis, United States
Dr. Deangelis grew up in Northeast Ohio, where he earned his undergraduate degree in biology. Driven by his love of science, he then earned a PhD in cardiovascular and metabolic disease, focusing on diabetes and insulin resistance. This work at the University of Toledo College of Medicine inspired him to pursue medicine. Dr. Deangelis completed medical school at the University of Connecticut and his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals in Connecticut.
"I chose Kaiser Permanente because I wanted to be part of a healthcare system committed to providing its members with the highest quality care and giving physicians the tools to deliver that care effectively. My philosophy is to give patients a comfortable, personalized experience while practicing evidence-based medicine to achieve the best outcomes.
After residency, Dr. Deangelis completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. His prior research, fascination with reproductive health science, and desire to help couples reach their reproductive goals led him to this field. As an NIH REI fellow, he had the privilege of training under recognized leaders in REI.
