Dr. Sara Babcock Gilbert, United States
Dr. Babcock Gilbert returned to Kaiser after working in private practice. In addition to infertility services, she provides surgery for patients with Müllerian anomalies, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, non-tubal ectopic pregnancies, and other infertility-related conditions. She also provides care and counseling for fertility preservation related to cancer treatment, hormone therapy/planned gender-affirming surgery, or elective delay of childbearing.
"Early in my medical career, I discovered that women's health was where I belonged. My interests and training led me to reproductive endocrinology and infertility, where I found my passion. Helping patients with infertility, or those who want to preserve fertility, can be extremely challenging but also deeply rewarding. Having experienced infertility myself, I can relate to the stress of the process, listen to what patients truly need, and provide the education needed for the best possible care.
Dr. Babcock Gilbert earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. She also completed her reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship there.
