Dr. Francisco Arredondo is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist with more than 20 years of experience and the founder of Pozitivf Fertility, a clinic dedicated to making fertility care more accessible and affordable. He earned his medical degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey, completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center, and then completed a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a Master of Public Health from Harvard University. He previously founded Reproductive Medicine Associates of Texas and served as Chief Medical Officer of Prelude/Inception Fertility, overseeing more than 50 specialists nationwide. As an author and mentor, he wrote MedikalPreneur to guide healthcare professionals in entrepreneurship and advises medical boards and investment firms. Outside work, he enjoys reading, golf, travel, and mixology.

This clinic was completely unsuitable! We would never entrust our IVF journey to them. First, it took 4 months even to start verifying my insurance benefits for a saline ultrasound. That was too long, so I ultimately went elsewhere. Second, Fellow was terrible! The sperm died during testing, and it cost $199! When we arrived, the front desk staff were so disorganized that they had us sign forms we had already completed online. We checked in but were never told we could sit down, so we stood there until they remembered us. Everyone around us except us was offered water, which was rude. Every time we spoke to them, they laughed! Even scheduling was chaotic. They nearly charged us twice until they finally saw the note on our account. I spoke with Dr. Gallagher, who was very nice, but honestly left many questions unanswered. She tried hard to sell us an embryo-testing package. It was even suggested that if the baby was not healthy, we should terminate at 9 weeks. In short, they said buying the package would improve our chances of pregnancy. Finally, while I was getting dressed after my ultrasound, a woman walked in and tried to chat with me before I was dressed. It was extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. The Venezuelan nurse was very kind and knowledgeable. She also apologized for everything that happened. According to the financial coordinator, they keep costs down by offering treatment twice a month, with only 30 slots each month. So you must use contraception until it is convenient for them to start your treatment. Our first IVF experience was awful. Even if this IVF seems reasonably priced, I would rather save up and go somewhere that treats me with respect and dignity, instead of being just a number or feeling as though I am doing them a favor by going there.

My wife and I feel very fortunate to have found Pozitivf Fertility to help us grow our family. After meeting Nurse Mafe, we felt warmth and care from the first consultation. We joined their "Simple" IVF program and are now 7 weeks pregnant with our first child! Every staff member we met was warm and helpful. Many thanks to Dr. Gallagher for performing my egg retrieval and creating my treatment plan; Nurse Mafe, the most caring person in the world; Dr. Gille for my embryo transfer; embryologist Ellie for taking such wonderful care of my little embryo; Nurse Lisa, who always greeted us at the clinic with a smile and a warm hug; Otilia for helping schedule appointments and always reassuring us; and Nurse Samantha and Dr. Adams, who also helped with my embryo transfer. I am surely forgetting some of the people who helped us on this journey, so my heartfelt thanks to Pozitivf San Antonio! I highly recommend them for fertility care. If we decide to continue growing our family after this baby, we will definitely return. Words cannot express how grateful we are to Pozitivf!

I write this review with a heavy heart because most of the staff at Pozitivf Fertility made us feel comfortable and were attentive and supportive during IVF. This review is less about our failure to become pregnant and more about feeling misled, repeatedly having to ask for transparency, and finding concerning documentation errors throughout treatment. I am a 40-year-old woman and my husband is 46 (we were 39/45 when we began IVF after unexplained infertility and a miscarriage), so our chance of natural conception was about 1-2%. After a year and a half without pregnancy due to age, infertility, and unknown factors preventing natural conception, IVF was our next option. Pozitivf sells you a dream at the initial consultation. Their overall success rate may be close to the claimed 60%, but the average IVF success rate for women my age is around 25-35%. I do not know the age of their usual patient population, but I believe they seriously misrepresented the actual success rate for women my age. They also kept emphasizing "staying positive." While helpful, that did not answer our questions. If I asked about assumptions or possibilities that were not "positive," they replied, "We don't think that way." We understood the need for hope and optimism, but wanted honest answers. At my first ultrasound after our first embryo implanted, the room was crowded with people I did not know. I wish they had asked first instead of having unfamiliar staff in the room to try their new ultrasound machine. The scan showed an empty gestational sac with no embryo, which would end in miscarriage. I did not want a group of strangers present for that news. At earlier visits, unfamiliar staff had also practiced ultrasound scanning despite already having received equipment training; I would have appreciated being asked first. My husband and I also received someone else's bill, and the clinic seemed almost unconcerned when we contacted them. This was alarming because the receipt contained confidential information subject to HIPPA. We also had a phone consultation with Dr. Arredondo after struggling to get a return call about follow-up after the miscarriage. When he called, he discussed a different patient who was 13 weeks pregnant. As you can imagine, this was a sensitive time: we had just miscarried, were grieving, and this was our second loss. I do not understand how the wrong patient could be discussed, and it again caused serious concern. We eventually tried a second transfer with our second and final embryo, but unfortunately it failed. On the day I was to receive the pregnancy result, a doctor I did not know, Dr. Adams, called and said she was helping answer the clinic's phones that afternoon. Devastatingly, she told me I was not pregnant and that the embryo had not implanted. Although Dr. Adams was understanding and compassionate, having a stranger deliver the news felt impersonal. I am sure she is highly qualified, but in 8 months at the clinic I had never heard of, met, worked with, or spoken to her. We would have appreciated hearing this sensitive information from someone who had worked with us, or from my own doctor. *Our review continues in my husband Eric Bryant's post due to the character limit*

Dr. Adams also revealed the sex of our embryos, which we had repeatedly asked to keep confidential. We then learned we had been misled: before the first transfer, we were told the embryos were different sexes, but Dr. Adams said they were actually both male. This was the most concerning issue of the entire process because it made us question everything. How can someone be given the wrong embryo sex? It made us wonder whether the correct embryos had been documented or could have been mixed up. You can imagine the anxiety and concern. Finally, after the failed transfer we received a follow-up consultation call and condolence email in April, but we wish we had received the same care after the first transfer in December. They did not contact or communicate with us until we chose a follow-up consultation. After 4 calls and multiple portal messages, my husband had to call Dr. Arredondo's personal cell phone to get a response. We also felt they were trying to persuade us to undergo another egg retrieval. I understand more information was needed, but the timing was inappropriate. Our final complaint is that after our first failed attempt, they seemed more focused on expanding the business than caring for existing paying patients. It did not seem coincidental that Houston doctors and staff were posting on Tik Tok to promote their new office. I understand the need to grow, but after our first failure we felt dismissed and abandoned. We felt special during the first attempt, but afterward everything changed and we no longer mattered. Had the second attempt felt like the first, we would have stopped and gone elsewhere. We were no longer their focus. I cannot imagine a better business model than promising a child for $20,000 while saying it may not work and, if it does not, you cannot be angry or pursue legal action. In my view, the focus shifted from patients to business and financial growth. That is unfortunate because we truly liked the first attempt and the way they made you feel like family. We are very grateful to the nurses, who comforted us, provided a great deal of information, and supported us. I hope no one else experiences what my husband and I did, and I wish everyone well on their IVF journey.

We began this journey in August 2024. Thanks to them, I am now 33 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. They were very helpful throughout and put me at ease during a complicated process. We are extremely grateful to the pozitivf team. I would recommend them to anyone considering IVF or any fertility assistance. They are the best, and their prices are very affordable.

I came to Positivf because a friend who conducts academic research at the clinic recommended it. At first, the clinic's cold, sterile atmosphere and some unusual design choices put me off. I later realized that the waiting room decor was intended to resemble reproductive anatomy, but it felt more clinical than comforting. One particularly awkward detail was a huge portrait of an “inspirational historical figure” facing your pelvis in the ultrasound room. During such a vulnerable moment, it is hard to focus on your medical care while a portrait stares at you. The clinic was clearly designed by men, with very little feminine insight or warmth. My initial consultation with Dr. Paco was informative and gave me hope that IVF at Positivf could succeed. Afterward, my husband and I met with nurse Ofelia to discuss the expected timeline. Unfortunately, both of us left confused and learned nothing specific about the schedule. The only thing communicated clearly was the cost: $13,995, payable in full before further treatment. After paying, I contacted the doctor repeatedly over the next three days. My period had begun, and I urgently needed guidance and medication. I did not receive a response until another nurse, Stephanie, called at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. She was kind, explained the next steps clearly, and helped us feel more settled. When we went for the ultrasound before starting medication, the doctor told us I had a cyst and treatment would need to be delayed by 2-3 weeks. This was already my second menstrual cycle since beginning care at Positivf, yet we were still far from starting stimulation. I was understandably frustrated. When I told Dr. Gallager that I did not need sympathy, only facts, she said she would leave and provided no further guidance. Her response was disappointing, especially from someone who works daily with emotionally vulnerable IVF patients. I was about to leave without any follow-up arranged when Ofelia stopped me and told me to schedule another ultrasound. When I tried to schedule by text, I received an automated welcome message as if I were a new patient, followed by a receipt for a fee I had already paid two weeks earlier. These repeated communication failures completely destroyed our trust. We met with the office manager, who acknowledged that some problems resulted from the rollout of a new system. Although he was understanding, the damage had already been done. Most of our payment was refunded, but we were still charged a $950 administrative fee. Considering the number of serious errors they made and the time we lost, this felt unfair. Worse, the price quoted when we started in May was $13,995, and we later learned that it had dropped to $11,995. This clinic truly prioritizes volume over quality. To other women: trust your instincts. Positivf feels more like a baby production line than a supportive fertility clinic. We felt like cattle, grouped into large herds of 20 to 30 women at a time to reduce costs, while being expected to follow their schedule rather than our own. We transferred to Fertility SA, where Dr. Retzloff immediately took our concerns seriously. Within 72 hours, we had a complete treatment plan, medication list, and clear timeline. He also noted that, given my age and ovarian reserve, Positivf had prescribed too low a medication dose. His treatment strategy was better aligned with our individual needs and restored our hope. I had not planned to write a review, but Positivf continued sending me text messages and emails even after I personally closed my account and received a refund. If I have ended treatment with you, communication should stop. That should be the end of it.

We were heartbroken to learn that conceiving naturally would be very difficult and IVF was our best option, but now we finally have our perfect 9-week-old baby. On July 25, 2025, I came for HyFoSy, an examination similar to a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). I researched everything possible and prepared thoroughly, which only frightened me. The actual examination, however, was nothing like I expected. Both of my doctors were very kind, candid, and knowledgeable! They kept communication positive throughout the procedure. I am deeply grateful for everything Pozitivf has done for my husband and me—from holding me while I cried and listening to my concerns to holding my hand tightly through every frightening moment, and everything in between. 🌟 A Miracle Worth Every Moment 🌟 After two failed IVF attempts in Greece, I was devastated and emotionally exhausted. I gave myself a year to heal, reflect, and research, and that is when I found Pozitivf Fertility in San Antonio. At first, the reviews seemed too good to be true. The price was much lower than any clinic I had seen, and to my surprise, they even offered flexible payment plans. From the moment I entered, the experience felt different. This was more than a medical facility; it felt warm, welcoming, and human. The walls were covered with beautiful, inspiring quotes, and the staff truly made me feel at home. My nurse Sabrina—my goodness, she was everything I never knew I needed. She was loving, supportive, and attentive, like an older sister holding my hand at every step. I simply want to say how grateful I am to everyone at Pozitivf. I am now nearly 10 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby! At around 5 weeks, I developed some bleeding complications, and Dr. Arredondo and his team quickly brought me in for an evaluation. As the situation progressed, my bleeding worsened later that week, and they monitored me weekly to ensure the baby was alive and growing and that the bleeding was resolving. They did not want me to graduate until both they and I felt confident about everything. I am happy to say that I graduated last week at 9 weeks pregnant, and the bleeding has resolved. A huge thank-you to Otilia, Carolina, and Paco (Dr. Arredondo) for caring for me so attentively during a very uncertain time. Otilia especially took time to explain our situation, answer our questions, and provide a wealth of information I otherwise would not have known. I cannot wait to bring our sweet baby back after birth to show them where they came from and meet the people who helped sustain their life :) Thank you, Pozitivf! Update August 21, 2025! I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in January. The pregnancy was generally healthy and smooth, with different pregnancy symptoms such as nausea in the first trimester. We greatly appreciated the upfront pricing on the Pozitivf website, with no hidden fees and no need to schedule a consultation just to learn all the costs. We had an amazing experience at Positivf. From the beginning, my husband and I felt deeply cared for and valued. Our initial consultation was very personalized. Dr. Adams knew our full medical history while reviewing the IVF process with us, making us feel she was fully prepared and invested. Dr. Adams is the most thoughtful, enthusiastic, and positive doctor I have met. She truly cares and is as kind and approachable as she seems. During our egg retrieval and FET, the staff always made me extremely comfortable. They took time to explain everything and answer every question without making me feel rushed. They even let me choose music during the retrieval and FET! Nurses always returned calls the same day, and all the staff were warm and friendly. Dr. Gille performed my FET, and I liked her very much too. She was kind and funny and immediately put me at ease. This place sounds too good to be true, but it really is that good. I am very grateful for the care we received and would recommend it to any friend seeking high-quality, affordable care to build a family!

One year ago today, we transferred my beautiful daughter. Looking at her makes me cry. After three years of waiting, we had almost given up when we heard about Pozitivf. We never expected to receive so much love and support there. They truly made us feel like family. My nurses Otilia and Carolina took exceptional care of us. &&I will always be grateful to Maria, who held me while I cried when my first transfer was postponed. She gave me resources and called a few days later to check on me. When we learned the transfer was successful, she hugged me as I cried tears of joy. Thank you to Dr. Arredondo and Dr. Gallagher for everything. Dr. Gallagher is amazing—he let us play Taylor Swift during the transfer and turned it into karaoke by the end. Brittany, the embryologist, was very kind, and I appreciate how she cared for our embryos. Finally, special thanks to Dani, who is wonderful and kind. I cannot wait to bring my little Poppy Seed to meet everyone. Thank you so much, Pozitivf. I will definitely return for my second baby.

Do not trust what this clinic tells you. Their staff told me four times that my initial visit and testing were covered by my health insurance, and all four times I was told I would owe nothing out of pocket. I believed them. Two weeks later, I received a bill for $2100, which was extremely disappointing. Do not trust the price list on their website. My visit cost more than twice the listed price.

Although it has been about a year since my IVF journeys, I wanted to share my experience. Overall, the clinic staff and facilities were excellent and comfortable. They handled the initial phase well and prepared me for what to expect, but afterward they seemed overwhelmed and I had to navigate some parts myself. My greatest frustration was that they shared my information with third-party companies. Despite repeatedly trying to stop the storage facility and Pozitivf from contacting me, they continue to ask about cryostorage. They offered reassuring words but took no action to help. I still receive reminders about embryo storage fees, even though I have no embryos to store. In addition to emails, this company now texts me. I hate these constant reminders of my failed experience. Although I spoke with staff, emailed management, and discussed it with the third party, it seems I must continue enduring this. Please take my feedback seriously and improve your service.

The staff are very kind, but unfortunately, if your family is receiving donated embryos, they will not accept embryos that are not biologically related to you. Their explanation was, ‘...we do not have a treatment protocol for your specific situation...’ They provide basic frozen embryo transfers, so it is unfortunate that they cannot help all families experiencing infertility. If you are pursuing conventional IVF, I think they are definitely a good option for the price. I am writing this review for those who cannot undergo conventional IVF treatment.

Several years ago, my then-partner and I created embryos at this clinic and signed the clinic's written consent forms stating that the embryos would belong to me if we separated or ended our relationship. I recently learned that my ex-husband claims he was coerced into signing those forms, which I dispute. Based solely on this allegation, the clinic now requires me to take further action despite valid signed documents already on file. The clinic has handled the matter inconsistently. Last December, it allowed me to proceed with an embryo transfer. When I requested another transfer, however, I was told that consent requirements had changed because the embryos would be moved to a new cryostorage tank. I did not request a change in storage, and I believe the original consent signed by both parties remains valid. I want to clarify that the clinic staff have been kind, supportive, and professional throughout, and I understand that they must follow internal procedures. This review is not about their care or effort, but about the administrative and policy issue I now face. As a result, I have had to seek help from a family-law attorney to protect my previously established reproductive rights. The situation has caused significant emotional distress and uncertainty, and I am disappointed by how it has been handled.

After years of heartbreak and uncertainty, Pozitivf Fertility gave us the greatest gift—our beautiful, healthy rainbow baby, born on October 3, 2025. I sincerely recommend them. We started in June and were pregnant by late July. We had already completed many tests, so it may not be as fast for everyone, but the process was quick and convenient. We live in Houston, and the drive was worthwhile. We look forward to a second baby through pozitivf and trying its Houston services. We welcomed an adorable boy this March. Thank you, pozitivf!

In December 2022, my husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer and underwent treatment. We both thought we might never have children of our own. We initially consulted Pozitivf Fertility about donor sperm after everything we tried had failed and my husband's urologist said natural conception might not be possible even with IVF. After reviewing our history, the clinic encouraged another semen analysis, and fortunately the results were promising. Our first consultation was in January 2025, and four months later we were pregnant. The one constant in my life has been my desire to become a mother. Pozitivf Fertility not only made that wish come true but turned a challenging, uncertain period into a happy and beautiful experience. My husband and I now hold our baby boy and look back on that time with immense joy. From our first call through the end of treatment, the staff were consistently kind and encouraging. We loved the experience so much that my husband and I joke our only complaint is that they do not provide pediatric care!

This journey, spanning thirteen years, has finally come to a perfect conclusion. My daughter was born on May 22, 2026, earlier than her due date, and I feel immensely happy. Pozitivf helped us create this most precious gift. Although the process went smoothly, the emotional challenges were overwhelming. Dr. Gille was the best person to discuss treatment plans with—she was calm, considerate, and highly knowledgeable. The cost of IVF is high, but the installment payment plan offered by Pozitivf made it affordable. I recommend Pozitivf to anyone who wants to continue this journey but hasn't yet found a way. Don't give up on your dreams—persevere! We went through two transfers and ultimately succeeded. Make sure you have enough emotional support, because this journey requires it. After several unsuccessful attempts at home insemination and intrauterine insemination, my wife and I decided to try IVF. We were hesitant at first because we knew the process could be lengthy and expensive. We consulted several local fertility clinics, but received inconsistent answers or only partial responses to our questions about pricing and tests that we did not actually need. From our first contact with Pozitivf, we immediately felt at ease, heard, and relieved. From the moment we entered the clinic, the warm and friendly staff and doctors welcomed us, explained everything in detail, and provided a full cost breakdown along with medication and treatment options. With the help of the nurses and staff, the entire IVF process was smooth and easy to navigate. They gave us a detailed schedule and an app with direct access to staff communication, information, lab results, medication updates, and instructions. They always answered calls from patients undergoing treatment, and a nurse or doctor was usually available to answer any questions during the two-week wait or explain lab results if we had any concerns. When we learned that we were pregnant, they readily allowed several family members, as well as a photographer, to join us for the first ultrasound and celebrate the news. In fact, they encouraged us to involve our family throughout the process. Pozitivf feels like a family, and once you join, you feel warmly welcomed. Everyone, including the medical staff, seemed just as excited as we were about every milestone! As a healthcare professional, I have always recommended Pozitivf Fertility Center to my friends, family, and clients, and I will continue to do so because they provide outstanding, affordable fertility treatment in San Antonio. My review only concerns the consultation stage because I never had the chance to proceed. I asked about their patient criteria but received no answer after several text follow-ups. I assume I was not the type of patient they wanted, so they ghosted me. If communication is poor at this stage, I cannot imagine what it would be like during treatment.

Asked whether I recommend this clinic, my answer is absolutely “no.” I became a patient in early March 2025 after hearing Dr. Paco had a good reputation in San Antonio. I was excited to meet him but saw him only twice. Problems ranged from getting my name wrong to prescribing the wrong medication. The process was long, tedious, and handled by a different nurse each time. They were nice, but the clinic seemed disorganized. I prepaid, then received a bill after treatment that took months and much anxiety to resolve. My doctor explained nothing clearly, and I left every time with questions. I would never return for future IVF.
