Dr. Matthew G. Retzloff, United States
Dr. Matthew G. Retzloff joined the Fertility Center of San Antonio in 2014. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Retzloff earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the United States Air Force Academy in 1990 and a medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in 1994. He completed his U.S. Air Force residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, in 1998. Dr. Retzloff studied at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts, where he completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology in 2003. He subsequently directed the IVF programs at Wilford Hall and Brooke Army Medical Center. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2014 after nearly 21 years of service to the country.
Dr. Retzloff is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and in obstetrics and gynecology. He is a leader in IVF and represents U.S. IVF physicians on the SART (Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology) Executive Council. He has authored and presented numerous studies related to IVF and ICSI at national professional society meetings. His special interests include infertility, fibroids, fibroid-related surgery, advanced surgical laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, and in vitro fertilization.
His publications can be found in leading journals including Fertility and Sterility, The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
