Dr. Rubal completed her medical education at the University of Miami Miller School in 2007. During this period, she received the Iron Arrow Society award, the university's highest student honor. She completed a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Southern California Women's Hospital, serving as administrative chief resident and on the resident executive committee. She then completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at USC, studying advanced reproductive technologies and fertility surgery with a focus on diminished ovarian reserve, oncofertility, and the effects of chemotherapy on ovarian granulosa cells. After graduation, she worked for several years in reproductive medicine at LAC+USC Medical Center. In 2012, she joined Kaiser Permanente as an infertility and reproductive medicine specialist.
Her honors include Los Angeles Magazine's Super Doctor award, Pasadena Magazine's Top Doctor award, and a Physician Leadership award from the USC-affiliated women's hospital. She considers parenthood a fundamental goal for many people and values helping patients pursue it.
Dr. Rubal is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She has received multiple research and teaching awards, including teaching awards from the Keck School of Medicine, the Bayer Health Care Outstanding Faculty Award, and the Daniel Mashell Teaching Award.
