What a terrible place! It deserves zero stars. The staff are extremely incompetent and fail to communicate. They disrespect people’s time, money, and physical and mental well-being and do not care how their inaction harms patients’ lives. They have failed us twice and always make excuses instead of admitting errors. Four months ago, they did not verify my husband’s VA authorization or tell me it was invalid, even after I specifically asked for details and instructions. I asked them to confirm it was valid and on file, and they said everything was ready. It happened again today :-( When it happens repeatedly, is it still a mistake? They have the nerve to say “we understand,” although they do not understand the emotional distress they repeatedly cause. They pretend to listen but do not care. Their conduct every time we seek treatment shows how indifferent they are.

Although I received a referral in April, scheduling is now impossible. They keep delaying the callback to arrange an April appointment. My referral expires in October, so who knows whether I will ever be seen here?

University of Washington hospitals and clinics have helped me many times and done an excellent job. A failed ACL/MCL knee graft performed by a Seattle orthopedic specialist was correctly diagnosed and perfectly repaired. After a life-threatening miscarriage, I was treated at the UW emergency hospital and had a D&C at the UW gynecology clinic weeks later. After a painful test at Seattle Reproductive Medicine, the UW gynecology clinic supported me emotionally. UW also expertly treated and operated on my arm after a skiing fracture. Because it is a large institution, communication may not be the easiest, but they have never misled me and have always shown care throughout diagnosis and recovery. I am currently receiving IVF treatment at the UW reproductive clinic, and they are also excellent.

I transferred from SRM because of numerous billing and staff issues. The care and attention at UW Fertility Center amazed me; it was night and day. Reviews complaining about billing surprise me because I thought it was seamless compared with other clinics. Perhaps I was lucky. At UW, I never felt like a number. At every in-person appointment, I felt well cared for and heard. When I finally became pregnant and the baby stuck, my care team genuinely cheered for me and checked in several times during pregnancy, which meant everything. I was almost sad to graduate once the baby’s healthy growth was confirmed. I credit Emalee and Mary with the birth of our healthy rainbow baby. If we grow our family again, we will absolutely return. Thank you so much.

I was referred to an OB-GYN here for surgery, but she let her resident lead the meeting and did not enter until near the end. The OB-GYN was clearly rushing to see other patients and would not answer my questions unless I scheduled a preoperative appointment. So disrespectful and frustrating!

My wife and I are trying to conceive, and I think more men should share positive feedback. Although women go through a great deal during this process, Reproductive Health and Fertility Center has been very thoughtful, and I have enjoyed working with them. I just wanted to express my appreciation. The women at the front desk are very understanding and patiently answer any questions or concerns I have. As I sit in the waiting room, I feel compelled to give them a five-star review.

I am very surprised by all the negative reviews here. My care has been absolutely excellent. Dr. Chung is outstanding, as are her colleagues and the entire staff. I had eight consecutive pregnancy losses, including a stillbirth at 24 weeks and a miscarriage at 13 weeks. I am 42 years old, so time is extremely important. This is a very sensitive situation, but everything—from scheduling and insurance reimbursement to the treatment plan—was flawless. Please do not let these reviews sway you. I can confidently say that this hospital is truly excellent. I am also someone who strongly advocates for myself, is a bit of a control freak, and is highly educated. I had high expectations for this hospital, and it not only met every one of them but far exceeded them.

Working with Dr. Ryan during my fertility journey was terrible. She was extremely insensitive to the challenges of the process and showed no compassion. She was arrogant and rude, did not listen, failed to respond to messages, and made it clear that my health and my child’s health were not her priorities. It is obvious she is an administrator rather than a doctor. After changing physicians, I realized the problem went beyond her attitude and learned how her medical advice had harmed my health. I wish I had not wasted years working with someone who did not have my best interests at heart. Do not work with Dr. Ryan. Do not waste your time, money, or emotions. One of the hardest decisions as a parent is how to protect your child, and she is not a physician who cares about your child’s life.

Dr. Ryan was barely present. I had a previous telehealth evaluation with her, when she asked whether an OB-GYN resident could accompany her during my consultation. Instead, the resident conducted the consultation in her place. Dr. Ryan appeared for only a few minutes near the end and gave me no opportunity to review my medical history with her. She interrupted whenever I tried to ask a question. I waited a long time for this consultation, and it was a complete waste of time. It also started late, which was unprofessional. I know doctors are busy, but she should slow down and spend time developing a treatment plan with me. I strongly advise against seeing her. Find a doctor who truly listens and cares about your fertility journey, because Dr. Ryan is not that doctor.

My experience with Dr. Ryan was terrible. I was extremely anxious and wanted to review the treatment plan with her. She said I could see a doctor later. I thought she was my doctor. The procedure did not go well, and I cannot help wondering whether the outcome might have been different if she had spoken with me and answered my questions. Infertility is exhausting, and emotional health is closely connected to physical health. Dr. Ryan does not understand that. She simply does not care about her patients. Do not go to this clinic!
