Enrique Soto, MD, FACOG, is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He also belongs to several leading professional associations, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).

 

As a fertility specialist, Dr. Soto's expertise includes medical and surgical treatment of infertility, in vitro fertilization, uterine fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome, congenital uterine anomalies, endometriosis, and reproductive surgery. He uses minimally invasive approaches, including laparoscopy, microsurgery, mini-laparotomy, hysteroscopy, and robotic surgery.

 

Dr. Soto has published peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters, presented his research at national and international meetings, and currently serves as an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics.

 

He earned his medical degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Medicine and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. As a clinical instructor, he was recognized for "Excellence in Teaching" and as an "Outstanding Laparoscopic Surgeon."

 

Dr. Soto earned a Master of Science in clinical embryology and andrology from the renowned Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where the first baby conceived and born through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in the United States was treated. He then completed a second three-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic.

 

Dr. Soto is fluent in English and Spanish and is pleased to live in Miami and care for patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

 

His favorite pastimes include traveling and enjoying museums and cultural events with his wife, Elizabeth. He also enjoys playing guitar, singing, tennis, and capoeira.

I have never been treated so poorly at a doctor's office. The young woman at the front desk was extremely dismissive. Beginning this journey is a difficult decision, and you hope specialists in this field know how to treat patients with care and compassion. I do not usually take time to write reviews, but if you want an office that treats you like a person rather than a number or another patient to squeeze into a busy schedule, go elsewhere. I would not wish my experience on anyone. I left unsure whether I even wanted to continue the process. Do not do this to yourself.

Every fertility journey is stressful. Be mindful of who you plan to partner with when beginning this process. As someone new to this, I had many questions and found few answers once I entered into the IVF cycle. Every communication is through an app that barely works, and has very little clarity on how to send messages to the right individuals to obtain answers. We found ourselves lost and there was zero attempt to emphasize or help made by the staff. An overall incredibly disappointing experience.

Avoid at all costs! I had been followed by IVFMD since 2024/1. For months, I requested quotes and fee information, but the price they gave me was far lower than what they eventually charged. We lost a year working with them, not to mention the pointless IUI attempts. My doctor in France told me this clinic had deceived us. We are now taking the next steps in France, and they do not even want additional testing performed at IVFMD. Run, run, run!!!

I had a wonderful experience at this fertility clinic and felt cared for and informed from my first appointment. The nurse practitioner clearly explained the process. Dr. Thompson was warm, calm, thorough, and reassuring, and I trusted her completely. The entire staff was efficient, professional, and very responsive through the app. My only concern was the sometimes slow checkout process, which could take 20 minutes or more. One year later, I am now five months pregnant and deeply grateful. I highly recommend this clinic.

I spent three years at IVFMD in Miami and Cooper City and had a very disappointing experience: long waits, poor communication, and impersonal service. I always felt like a number rather than a patient. I often had to track my medications and treatment myself because no one seemed to follow my case. Dr. Wood repeatedly suggested tests I had already completed, clearly without reviewing my records. After waiting a month for PGT results, she did not even realize the purpose of our appointment. The laboratory needed additional documents before releasing the results, but she and her team had not reviewed my file or noticed the issue. Even more shocking, after two years as her patient, she did not know I was using my own eggs. This disorganization was extremely frustrating. My greatest regret is not leaving sooner. After switching clinics, I became pregnant within three months. The difference in care was enormous.

I rarely write long reviews, but my disappointment with this clinic compelled me to share. Although highly recommended, it did not meet expectations. To be fair, the doctor was the highlight of my visit—professional, attentive, and skilled. However, one doctor cannot run a clinic alone, and the rest of the experience was frustrating. The billing process was inefficient and one-size-fits-all, without accounting for differences in individual insurance coverage. It felt standardized rather than personalized. The clinic also seemed overly focused on seeing as many patients as possible, resulting in rushed, impersonal service. Ultimately, we decided not to continue. Given the cost, we expected compassionate care rather than being treated like a number. Unfortunately, that is exactly how this clinic made us feel.

The files/paperwork were disorganized, and the staff were generally chaotic. Emails arrived with “no subject,” responses/answers were incomplete, prescriptions were sent incorrectly, and nothing was handled properly. I decided to restart my egg-freezing journey elsewhere, at a clinic farther from home but much more organized. As you can imagine, I was extremely disappointed with IVFMD... and you would be right. Ultimately, I no longer trusted them with my medical needs or my future embryos.

They should change their motto to: Bureaucracy over compassionate care. This is deeply disappointing for a healthcare organization. Appointments take a long time to get, and because I forgot my referral form and they could not accept my electronic referral, I was unable to complete my appointment. Very disappointed!

I wish I could give this clinic a better review. My first visit was terrible. Initially, I could not find the clinic, and its extremely complicated phone system left me calling several lines with no answer. I finally reached a staff member through my personal doctor, but the check-in line was very long, and I waited nearly an hour to see the doctor. I was about to leave when they finally called me in. I must say that I really liked the doctor, so I continued treatment. For my second visit, I drove from North Miami Beach, and a highway accident added 45 minutes to the trip. Again, I tried calling before leaving and while traveling. I called twice and waited 30 minutes each time before anyone answered. The woman at the front desk had a poor attitude and rudely told me that one doctor was still there but was seeing the last patient. If they had answered the phone or at least arranged for the doctor still at the clinic to perform a brief ultrasound, I could have avoided a 1.5-hour drive. I am very disappointed with this clinic's organization and management.

I urge you to avoid this clinic. We wasted a great deal of money, time, and hope. These so-called “professionals” wasted years of our lives without ever trying any treatment, although they always billed us on time. All we received were excuses: “We need more tests,” “Your doctor retired; I am your new doctor, and we need more tests,” “Your patient coordinator needs more tests,” and “Your patient coordinator left, and the new coordinator needs new tests” (this happened three times). Please think twice before coming here. Do not expect results; they will only give you the runaround.

We waited two months just to schedule surgery, meaning we still do not know when it will happen. This is a joke. They overcharge for various services, and the price soars if a test is submitted to insurance and the insurer does not cover it. For example, they charge 600 in cash for a test, but if it is submitted to insurance, the price rises to 1200. If the insurer denies the claim, I end up owing the full 1200.

I can’t say enough good things about this office. I came to IVFMD after having a very different experience at another IVF practice where even the waiting room barely had enough seating and the environment felt stressful and scary. From the moment I switched to IVFMD, I felt welcomed with open arms. The entire team is warm, supportive, and incredibly organized. Communication was always great, and I always felt like my questions were heard and addressed. Going through IVF can be overwhelming, and having a team that is both compassionate and responsive makes all the difference. Every doctor there is wonderful, but I especially recommend Dr. Soto and Dr. Szczupak . They are knowledgeable, kind, open and truly care about their patients. I highly recommend IVFMD to anyone going through fertility treatment.

My experience with this clinic was extremely frustrating because of persistent administrative and insurance problems. Fertility treatment is already physically and emotionally exhausting. Patients should not also have to investigate their own coverage to correct staff errors. The clinical care may be good, but administrative coordination was consistently chaotic. I repeatedly received incorrect or conflicting information about coverage and authorizations and spent substantial time verifying details directly with my insurer. Problems that should have been handled internally ultimately fell to me to resolve. Fertility treatment is stressful enough without administrative errors. Patients should be able to trust a clinic to manage insurance, authorizations, and billing accurately, but that was not my experience. If you choose this clinic, I strongly recommend personally verifying all insurance and billing information and keeping detailed records of every communication. For a practice handling something as important and sensitive as fertility care, the level of administrative disorganization was disappointing. Beware.

We were originally scheduled with another doctor, but were very fortunate that Dr. Michael, Saad-Naguib, stepped in and performed a procedure for us at IVFMD. I can honestly say it was one of the best things to happen during this journey. From the moment we met him, Dr. Michael impressed us with his warm clinical manner and genuine compassion. IVF can easily make patients feel like just another chart in a busy medical system, but Dr. Michael was the exact opposite. He takes time to truly learn and understand your situation, results, concerns, and goals. Every conversation feels attentive, thoughtful, and detailed. What makes him special is that in addition to being knowledgeable and professional, he is reassuring, approachable, and even humorous, immediately putting you at ease. He treats patients like family—never rushed, never dismissive, and always fully present. This level of care is essential during one of life's most emotionally vulnerable experiences. I deeply regret going to this clinic. My doctor has since retired, but the harm this clinic caused me cannot be undone. They told me to have surgery, but it did not address the underlying problem because the surgeon they recommended was not suited to my condition. I later learned that the surgery should have been done after freezing my eggs because it can significantly reduce ovarian reserve, which it did, and can also cause the disease to spread and harm my health. They then recommended intrauterine insemination (IUI), even though I had a fallopian tube problem. In other words, they wanted me to spend ten thousand dollars on a procedure that clearly would not work in my case. They either had not reviewed my case carefully or simply wanted more money. This is outrageous. I will not even get into their service, as many others here have already complained about it. Imagine having to visit the clinic every two or three days during your cycle; that alone is difficult enough. Even at our first meeting, the incompetent assistants made both my husband and me feel extremely stressed. Their IVF prices are also several times higher than some other good options in Miami, such as UHealth. I truly regret coming here. It was one of the worst decisions of my life. If I had not gone to this terrible clinic, I might already be happily pregnant. They care only about money. That is what happens when you go to a private equity-backed practice. Once again, I deeply regret coming here. Miami has other excellent clinics.

I came to IVFMD on the recommendation of a friend to see Dr. Enrique Soto. She assured me that I would like him because of his exceptional medical skills and compassion... and it turned out her recommendation was absolutely right. My case was not simple, but Dr. Soto never gave up on me. The treatment process lasted nearly two years, and he always listened patiently, calmly explained everything, and answered every question I had, making me feel that I was never treated as just an ordinary patient. I also want to thank my coordinator, Nikki, who has always shown me meticulous care and patience. Today I am 14 weeks pregnant. Thank God I met Dr. Soto. To be honest, I really miss his warm and caring approach, because such doctors are truly rare these days. To everyone struggling with infertility: If Dr. Soto is by your side on your journey to parenthood, you will receive the best care. My wife and I had a terrible experience. I strongly advise against this doctor. We sought infertility treatment, but instead of considering other options, he wanted us to adopt a child. He was very enthusiastic about adoption. I had never seen my wife feel as distressed as she did that day. 👎👎👎👎👎👎

The doctor is excellent, but the medical team is very disappointing. We repeatedly had to follow up for clear instructions, and we were overcharged because staff failed to give our insurer accurate information or update our orders. Responses are slow, especially after hours and on Fridays, and communication is inefficient unless you keep pressing them.

Poor communication and inconsistent information: This is the worst clinic staff I have encountered. They do not answer their emails, and even when you finally reach them by phone, they give completely different appointment information, despite everything having already been arranged by email. Worse, you must call months in advance to get an appointment, and sometimes wait two months to be seen!
