I appreciate the care the SRM staff gave us and would recommend them to anyone seeking reproductive endocrinology services. I interacted with nearly all the nurses and technicians, as well as Dr. Houmard, and they were truly compassionate. The care team responded quickly, and my many unexpected questions were answered without a long wait. They use a patient portal, which I prefer because of my work and because documents remain accessible. Billing information always clearly explained what insurance covered and what I would pay, and questions were answered promptly. I chose SRM because I wanted a female attending physician and care team, and I also valued Dr. Houmard's extensive credentials. She has a calm manner with patients. When we had questions about a treatment plan or previous cycle, she offered recommendations while discussing our goals and current options with us. I believe they avoid immediately recommending the most expensive choice and instead let patients reach their own conclusions. I wish some information, particularly the pros and cons of PGT, had been presented differently; in retrospect I might have made a different choice in our first cycle, but it is a learning process. Patients must advocate for themselves and become informed. Most daily interactions are with the care team, who are knowledgeable, attentive, and able to handle difficult situations. I appreciated seeing the same faces throughout. Overall, we felt supported through this journey. Edit: We welcomed our rainbow baby this year. We are very grateful for her and for SRM.

I had an HSG here, and it was excruciating. On top of learning that both fallopian tubes were blocked, the clinicians had a very cold bedside manner. They made me uncomfortable and feel like just a number, showing no compassion or offering even one kind word. Save yourself the trip and go elsewhere.

SRM Fertility in Spokane exceeded my expectations. Every appointment was pleasant, and I always felt valued as a patient. The customer service is outstanding; staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. I wholeheartedly recommend SRM Fertility to anyone seeking a supportive, professional fertility clinic. Special thanks to Kristi Hume, who is wonderful. She always took time to answer our questions thoroughly, explain the process in detail, and address every concern. We felt that she genuinely cared about our success.

There was almost no guidance on which appointments we needed or when to schedule them. When we tried to schedule appointments at specific times in the month, none were available, and then they simply drew blood for testing.

Dr. Houmard's practices raise serious ethical concerns and undermine the integrity of our profession. She charges patients $300 for an initial consultation but neglects to review their medical records or reports. She also tends to avoid patients who might affect her success metrics. There are many other reproductive medicine specialists in Seattle, Boise, or SLC who show genuine compassion and commitment to patient well-being. SRM's business model offers patients no support.

After 1 year of trying and finally conceiving a baby we ended up losing the baby at 8 weeks. After an additional 3 months of trying we were unsuccessful of conceiving a child. That’s when my wife finally made an appointment looking to get help. For $50 she was sat down immediately told that she’s fine before any testing of any kind. Told that she has normal cycles and that I (the man) should get tested. She was spoken too in a condescending way and the gal she met with talked to her as if she was a child. Explaining how periods worked, how ovulation worked etc. mind you we’re both 27 years old we know this. Well we ended up getting pregnant again one month later. We have now lost that one too. The place we went to do our first scan noticed abnormalities for how far along we should have been and immediately recommended blood testing. Turns out my wife has hypothyroidism. You directly cost us this mental anguish for the second time thank you for that. I hope you seriously reconsider your standard of care or no one else goes to you in desperation as they will not be served well.

Last year, I completed a comprehensive infertility evaluation and have just finished a full IVF cycle with this team. Regardless of the outcome, I was deeply impressed by the kind, attentive care they provided. Lynette, registered nurse Christie, nurses Kali and Grace, many more excellent nurses whose names I cannot remember, and Dr. Houmard were all wonderful. Communication with the team was easy, and I could always reach them when I had questions. I will never forget the all-female care team on egg retrieval day and the compassion shown by every member. No one wants to go through this, but I am grateful this team accompanied me. Thank you, SRM Spokane Valley!

I waited to write this review, but my experience at SRM was traumatic. From beginning to end, it was a disaster. My greatest concern is that staff dismissed my repeated fears of an ectopic pregnancy despite very specific pain. They repeatedly wanted me scanned at their clinic, although their nurse practitioner's bedside ultrasound skills were insufficient to identify it. This led to weeks of pain and a ruptured fallopian tube. I received three rounds of methotrexate and emergency surgery after seeking a second opinion. I had internal bleeding and lost one fallopian tube. Most importantly, billing/coding staff need training, so inspect your bills carefully. They coded all bloodwork performed elsewhere during my ectopic pregnancy as infertility, which my insurance did not cover. Every claim was denied, and I had to fight to correct their error. They said they would not charge for inconclusive clinic ultrasounds, but billed them anyway. Management told me they would cover my portion and could not rebill, which was nonsense—I work in billing and coding. I had to tell the manager which modifier to add to void the claim and explain its status. Each nurse knew nothing about my case or how many medication rounds I had taken. You must bring all your records and review everything every time. The nurses/care staff I encountered were rude and confrontational. They dismissed my pain, minimized my bleeding, and created problems with paperwork after my first medication dose. After treatment began, they effectively withheld a medication because they wanted my husband, who was not receiving treatment, to sign while he was out of town. I had to go back and forth, although virtual signatures were allowed. This set the tone for my care. This clinic will do anything to get you in and spending money, but does not truly care about your health. A second opinion may have saved my life before the rupture became severe, but only after three weeks of pain. I now struggle with medical PTSD and deep mistrust of some medical practices. Watch your bills, advocate for yourself, and avoid this clinic if possible. Other options exist, including out-of-state care.

SRM sold its clinic to Pinnacle Reproductive and will not store your embryos onsite without additional fees. They ship embryos to Colorado. Since the sale, my wife and I have received unexpected charges, while departments once under one roof were split into separate companies that seem unable or unwilling to communicate. This is another case of shameless greed obstructing quality healthcare.

When I began building my family, I never expected to need assisted reproductive technology. I am very grateful to Dr. Houmard and the entire SRM team. At every stage, they gave me tremendous compassion, professional guidance, and attentive care!

Communication and explanations have not supported an efficient process. Very frustrating overall.

We had a wonderful experience here. We received exceptional medical care, with special attention paid to my mental health. Dr. Houmard is knowledgeable and approachable and always spoke honestly about expected outcomes. She even called before the holidays to reassure me and prepare me for transfer. From the front desk staff and nurses to the physicians, I always felt comfortable and valued. I will be forever grateful to my SRM family. I recommend them to anyone seeking the right place for such a personal journey.

Loved our experience with SRM/Pinnacle. Dr. Houmard was straightforward with our odds of being successful (50-55% chance) and what testing she did & did not recommend but was also excited for our journey and always optimistic. We were successful with our fresh transfer, I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant and we have 3 frozen embryos waiting for us. The staff was always friendly and amazing to work with as well, especially Katie & Kali!

A very disappointing experience. I arrived hopeful and left feeling terrible. I had just turned 42 and had an AMH test at the Center for Reproductive Health in Spokane, which I also do not recommend. My AMH was 1.86, better than average. Dr. Houmard said it was normal and then explained at length that I was older and should not waste money on IUI. She recommended using all my insurance coverage on one IVF cycle with genetic testing. I should have trusted the 3.7-star rating and sought better care elsewhere. This is one of the most important decisions of my life, so I plan to obtain better treatment elsewhere.

This clinic changed my life, and words can never express how grateful I am. When I entered with trembling hands, a racing heart, and despair, they believed in me and never gave up. They comforted me through fear of the unknown and encouraged me when I doubted myself most. Whenever I entered the clinic, their bright smiles and gentle voices reassured me that everything would be okay. Through quiet scans, worry, joy, and every unknown, they were there no matter what. I remember being sedated for egg retrieval and feeling so frightened I could almost vomit. Without my saying a word, a nurse held my hand while Dr. Houmard looked at me, distracted me, and reminded me that I was strong and everything would be okay. The day my precious baby was transferred was the warmest, most meaningful day of my life, and none of it would have been possible without them. They held my hand throughout the two-week wait and never let go. On graduation day, I hugged all the women and tried to hold back tears. I kept thinking of them holding my hand through the rain. They were my greatest supporters and the most excited people on beta test day! 🥺 I will never forget you. If you are struggling, please go here. I truly beg you!

After five failed intrauterine inseminations (IUIs) and one successful IUI that ended in a missed miscarriage, we found Pinnacle Fertility. We were heartbroken and felt completely defeated, especially after seeing the long IVF checklist. However, Dr. Houmard and her excellent nursing team gave us hope and helped us believe we could succeed. Their information system made it extremely easy to contact nurses, financial specialists, and billing. They always responded promptly and tried to answer every question as quickly as possible. We consistently communicated with the same nurse, who knew us and our story. This made us feel valued in a way many other healthcare providers had not. We are very grateful to Dr. Houmard and her team for combining clinical information and statistics with genuine hope. We heard some difficult realities and, based on the probabilities, decided to use my younger wife's eggs to create embryos. I am now 15 weeks pregnant and cannot wait to welcome this baby into our world. Reciprocal IVF once felt like an impossible dream, but thanks to Pinnacle, it is becoming a reality.
