Dr. Kate Devine, United States
Kate Devine, MD, FACOG, earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy on the premedical track from Columbia University. She then earned her medical degree with honors for ovarian cancer research from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After completing her OB/GYN residency at New York University School of Medicine, she completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she received an NIH Intramural Loan Repayment Award for her research.
During her medical training, Dr. Devine worked extensively in women's health in developing countries. She participated in obstetric fistula repair missions with the International Organization for Women and Development in Niger and worked in women's reproductive health with Child Family Health International in Quito, Ecuador. She also studied in India and Australia.
Dr. Devine is board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She specializes in diagnosing and treating infertility, including ovulatory dysfunction and ovarian aging. She is active in fertility research and has published on topics ranging from fibroids to egg freezing for fertility preservation. She continues this work as Medical Director and Chief Research Officer of US Fertility, our network, advancing Shady Grove Fertility's research goals.
Dr. Devine is an educator in reproductive endocrinology and a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at George Washington University. She is also a guest lecturer for NIH educational programs and courses. Her honors include a Traveling Scholar Award from the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Outstanding Resident/Fellow Research Award from the New York Obstetrical Society.
Dr. Devine is married with three children and enjoys cycling, yoga, hiking, and running.
