I am the founder and medical and scientific director of Gold Coast IVF in Woodbury, New York. I have dedicated my career to helping couples with infertility realize their dreams and am internationally recognized as a leader in fertility treatment. I have treated patients from around the world, and my work has frequently appeared in the media, including Newsday, CBS News, and the New York Times. The news program 20/20 and National Geographic have featured my work.

As a Yale faculty member, I served as clinical director of reproductive endocrinology and founded and directed several programs, including the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship and Yale Oncofertility Program. I was the first video and new media editor for Fertility and Sterility, the leading fertility journal of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). I have also served on the ASRM Board of Directors and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and most recently was immediate past president of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons.

I have also served on the board of AAGL, a leading society for minimally invasive surgery, and founded the international Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery program. I have shared my passion for technological innovation as an ASRM and AAGL plenary and keynote speaker more often than any other physician.

I am also known for developing advanced technology and collaborating with innovators outside medicine. I performed the world's first high-definition and 4K surgeries and developed award-winning technology to visualize disease and embryo details invisible to the naked eye. My research has received more than 6 international awards. Leading medical institutions have invited me as a visiting professor and lecturer, including Yale, Cleveland Clinic, and more than 20 other universities and national fertility/surgical societies.

My clinical practice and research focus on infertility and advanced endoscopy, and I review for numerous journals. I have received many research grants from the NIH and other sources, taught more than 100 invited lectures/courses, published more than 80 papers and abstracts, mentored trainees from over a dozen countries, and been invited worldwide to perform laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. I have treated patients from every continent, and my success rates rank among the highest.

My husband and I had a positive experience at Gold Coast. They accommodated my work schedule and always booked me before work. They know your name and create a positive experience. We completed IVF in April 2024, and I am now 8 months pregnant with my miracle baby! This journey was not easy, but Gold Coast made it as positive as possible. I highly recommend them to anyone experiencing infertility!

I highly recommend Gold Coast IVF. The staff are always welcoming and make you feel extremely comfortable! From the front desk and phlebotomy area to the nurses, sonographers, and everyone in between, the staff truly improve the experience. Dr. Palter is knowledgeable and experienced, and we strongly recommend scheduling a consultation! We are also very pleased with our results and are happy to say our IVF treatment succeeded, and we now have a beautiful baby in our arms!

Worst clinic ever—I do not recommend this place to anyone. They care only about money and nothing else. They do not care about you or your health. The doctor deceives you to make money. When we went there, he just smiled and said we needed more tests. Every time, he ordered tests only to make money. The billing woman is the worst; she does not know how to speak to others. She only cares about money. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. A very bad place.

After a long period of trying to conceive, miscarriages, and having a tube removed, my husband and I finally accepted that we needed IVF if we wanted a child. Two of my friends went to Dr. Pat and both became pregnant, so I did my research and decided to try this clinic. I am so glad I did! These wonderful people did so much for me. They always answered my questions and picked up the phone at any hour. I remember feeling nervous about something minor after my transfer at around 11 p.m. I called the clinic, and the system asked me to leave my phone number for a return call. Less than two minutes later, Dr. Pat called, asked about my concern, addressed it, and quickly made me feel safe. I will never forget his personal attention, bedside manner, and understanding. He truly is an angel! The women in the office were also exceptional. I often miss them and my visits, but fortunately this amazing team of angels helped me reach my goal! I became pregnant on my first attempt. I always followed all of Dr. Pat's advice and let him decide what was best for me. Meditation and staying busy helped me remain patient during the process. I knew they understood what was best for me, so I listened and did what was asked. There were many bumps, setbacks, and challenges along the way, but we did not give up! They always welcomed me with warm smiles and guided me throughout the journey. I am now 6 months pregnant with baby #1, and I will definitely return! I am so grateful to Dr. Pat and his team. They work together and truly love what they do. I am glad I came here, and you will be too! Keep believing and let them do their jobs, because they know exactly what they need to do to help you reach your goal! Be patient and do not stop trying. I am incredibly grateful to Gold Coast IVF and the entire staff for helping us reach this miraculous 20-week milestone! I miscarried after conceiving naturally and had to undergo a dilation and curettage (D&C). This led to Asherman syndrome. I had several surgeries, and a 30-year-old doctor told me I would never be able to have my own child. I called Gold Coast IVF for a second opinion. Dr. Palter was very honest and direct. He said he could not make any promises, but he would do his best. In just one surgery, he removed all the scar tissue from my uterine lining. Even after that, it took several months and the right approach to get my lining healthy enough for a transfer. I am thrilled to share that we are now 20 weeks pregnant. After the anatomy scan, I was amazed by how well he is developing and how perfect everything looks. I know we would not be here today without the entire process at Gold Coast IVF! The flights were absolutely worth it. I owe them so much because I was in a very dark place, but they kept trying and never gave up. Thank you so much!

I called for help with many unresolved fertility testing questions. I only wanted someone knowledgeable to run some tests. They told me to find a better gynecologist because he only sees people who want to become pregnant. They were rude and unhelpful, even after texting that they would call back for a consultation. 0 stars. Terrible.

After a frustrating experience at another clinic, I found Dr. Palter on TikTok, and I am so glad I did. From my first call with Monique to schedule my initial appointment, I felt at ease. She was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, and made me feel that this was where I belonged. That feeling continued at every step. The front desk staff was always kind, the nurses were very supportive, and the women who drew my blood, again and again, made me comfortable. Seeing the same familiar faces every week meant so much to me. Dr. Palter is confident, honest, and highly professional. When I began losing hope, he restored it. I am so grateful I found Gold Coast IVF and Dr. Palter. Without them, we would not have our beautiful daughter. IVF involves countless appointments, but I never felt like just another patient. The nurses and staff provided excellent care at every stage. Fertility treatment is not easy, but GC IVF knows what they are doing and keeps your best interests in mind!

Dr. Palter is truly outstanding. From day one, he guided me in the right direction and consistently provided thoughtful, professional advice. He never pressured me and always ensured that I could make my own decisions. Before finding Dr. Palter, I saw many OB-GYNs and even tried different fertility clinics, but none felt right. I was still reluctant to acknowledge how complex my condition was. I have endometriosis, and Dr. Palter not only recognized its impact but also referred me to an excellent surgeon who made a real difference in my treatment. Thanks to his guidance and care, my IVF cycle was successful. I am now 7 weeks pregnant. It is still early, but I am hopeful and incredibly grateful. Dr. Palter and his team are absolutely the best. I assure you that anyone who sees him will receive excellent treatment. He genuinely cares about his patients. From beginning to end, I never had any doubts. After first meeting Dr. Palter, I told my cousin about him. I later learned that she and two of her friends had also seen Dr. Palter. Everyone pursued IVF for different reasons, but all had wonderful results. This clinic is the best, and I recommend it to anyone who needs fertility care!

After several failed embryo transfers at an IVF clinic in Commack, I came to Gold Coast IVF to consult Dr. Palter. I was extremely discouraged. My first IVF cycle had gone very smoothly and resulted in the birth of my first child, so I could not understand why the second time had suddenly become so difficult. From the beginning, Dr. Palter was kind, funny, and very easy to talk to. He immediately reassured me and explained that we would conduct a series of tests to determine what was happening. I admit that I was hesitant, but Dr. Palter insisted this was the right approach, and I am very glad I followed his advice. Sure enough, early in the testing process he found an issue that my previous clinic had completely overlooked. They had not performed any diagnostic testing, and I now realize that I had been wasting time, money, and energy. Dr. Palter was extremely thorough and quickly identified the root cause. Time has flown, and I am now holding beautiful, healthy newborn twins. I sincerely thank Dr. Palter and the entire team at Gold Coast IVF for making our family possible. From the receptionists and ultrasound technicians to the nurses who drew my blood and everyone who stayed beside me and supported me, especially Anne-Marie, the care and attention they gave me were exceptional. When I encountered some frustrating insurance issues, Monique in the finance department helped me with great patience, and Camille at the front desk was always kind and welcoming. A friend who had also succeeded with Dr. Palter recommended him to me, and I am so glad I followed her advice. If you are experiencing the ups and downs of fertility treatment, I highly recommend Gold Coast IVF and Dr. Palter. They changed our lives, and I will always be grateful.

After 6 IVF cycles, 5 embryo transfers, 4 miscarriages, and 3 doctors, we are now nearly 16 weeks pregnant. My hydrosalpinx, a blocked fallopian tube, was not properly addressed by the first two doctors at RMA Melville. Despite negative test results, they mistakenly believed I had endometriosis. They advised me to continue the previous treatment plan and try acupuncture. I decided to change clinics and "interviewed" 3 new doctors. Only Dr. Palter was willing to investigate the true cause of my infertility. After diagnosing the hydrosalpinx and removing the affected tube and uterine fibroids, we could finally complete our last embryo transfer. Everything is going well so far, and sometimes we still cannot believe it is real. If you are struggling with infertility, I highly recommend Dr. Palter. I also strongly recommend having your fallopian tubes checked, as this appears to be an often-overlooked issue.

Gold Coast IVF is a very special place! As I drove to the clinic many mornings, I would turn down Angel Way in Woodbury and think it really is the way to the angels. Most importantly, I’ll start with Dr. Palter. With many years of experience and a very thorough approach to your fertility journey, you must trust in him and put aside the TikTok videos and outside noise, that can make you question every step. I thoroughly trusted him from day 1 and he never lead me wrong. He runs a very well oiled machine with a staff of women that are the best people you’ll ever meet. They are efficient, caring, on top of your health, and literally there for anything you need. I mean anything! I knew nothing about this journey and found Dr. Palter through reviews myself. I recognized a familiar name on one of them and figured I would explore to do some genetic testing with my husband. I also called 2 other clinics and could tell from the very beginning that I felt the most comfortable with Dr. Palter and his staff. It’s a very uncomfortable journey at times, so this is an extremely important factor. You spend more time with your clinic than you could imagine. However, you rarely wait and are often in and out very quickly, and can go as early as 6:30am. I couldn’t see myself going through this journey at another clinic. It’s difficult and it takes a village. I’m extremely grateful for the care and plan that Dr. Palter and his staff dedicated to me, that ultimately led to my current pregnancy!

I have been treated by Dr. Palter and Gold Coast for nearly four years. IVF is exhausting and monotonous, with constant highs and lows, but the support and care from everyone there never changed. They were compassionate and patient when things felt difficult, confusing, or overwhelming. Dr. Palter is extremely knowledgeable and conscientious. On the day of my latest embryo transfer, Long Island had one of its largest blizzards in years, with more than a foot of snow in Woodbury. The clinic closed, but not to me. Dr. Palter and his embryologist traveled through the storm and stayed overnight to ensure my transfer happened. I can never express what that meant to me. I recently graduated from the clinic and am 9 weeks pregnant. We are overjoyed that the baby is healthy, but I am genuinely sad to leave until we return for another transfer sometime next year. Everyone deserves a doctor this dedicated. If you seek the best doctor and facility, look no further. This place feels like home, and its people feel like family.

We are overjoyed to share the exciting news that our little miracle—the last surviving one of two embryos—has arrived! About a month ago, our baby boy entered the world! For more than seven years, we underwent countless medical procedures and extensive testing but never received clear answers from doctors in Michigan. After my first frozen embryo transfer failed, Dr. Palter took the time to discuss every possible option with me. Thanks to his expertise and persistence, I am now 19 weeks pregnant with twins! I honestly do not know where to begin. I had been trying to conceive for two and a half years without success and initially did not want IVF, until I finally decided to try it. Dr. Palter performed all the necessary tests. Because I was getting older and had a low chance of pregnancy, he decided to try IVF. I was diagnosed with blocked fallopian tubes and endometriosis, the main causes of my infertility. I ate well, exercised regularly, slept enough, and had little work-related stress, but I still could not become pregnant. Dr. Palter recommended a salpingectomy and laparoscopic surgery to remove adhesions caused by endometriosis. After surgery, Dr. Palter performed an embryo transfer, and my first IVF cycle was successful! I will always be grateful to Dr. Palter for helping me fulfill my dream of becoming a mother. It was the happiest moment of my life.

This review is long overdue. I previously consulted this doctor, who was very dismissive because I had primary ovarian insufficiency/premature menopause (POI/premature menopause). He told me I needed donor eggs, but two months later I became pregnant without any intervention, and my wonderful son is now one and a half. When I met him, I did mention that I had experienced two early miscarriages, which was why I underwent fertility testing, and it was clear that I still had some ovarian function. This consultation was truly discouraging. After seeing you on TikTok, I thought you would be more creative and willing to work with me. Please treat prospective patients carefully. We are real people with genuine feelings and lives beyond fertility. This was a terrible experience.

I remember praying for everything I have now, and none of it would have been possible without the knowledge and expertise of Gold Coast IVF. The staff make it exceptional. Before seeing Dr. Palter, I met another endocrinologist at a different IVF center, where I was treated like a number and misdiagnosed. Dr. Palter correctly diagnosed me with Asherman syndrome and endometriosis, which were causing my infertility. He performed laparoscopic surgery to remove adhesions and remained optimistic about our case. Dr. Palter had hope for me even when our situation seemed unfavorable, which helped me greatly. As long as I knew there was a glimmer of hope, we kept trying, and I am glad we did. I am now the mother of not one but two beautiful children. Motherhood has exceeded all my expectations, and sometimes I still cannot believe it finally happened. We become so immersed in daily life that it is easy to forget the tears, obstacles, and procedures involved in conceiving, but sometimes I stop and gaze at our children in awe. Dr. Palter and his staff work miracles, and we were fortunate to have him as our doctor. I am not sure we would have had the same outcome otherwise.

Dr. Palter is an amazing physician who helped complete our family and made our dream come true. His staff are wonderful. The atmosphere at Gold Coast is warm and loving. At Gold Coast, you are not a patient; you are family. The friendships I made there will last forever.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Palter, his team, or our experience at Gold Coast IVF. Dr. Palter and his team made an otherwise difficult, sad, and demanding process as simple and positive as possible. They were truly invested in my care. If you are having difficulty starting or growing your family, make this your first and last stop. They will help you achieve your dream.

Dr. Palter and the entire Gold Coast IVF team are wonderful. I began my journey at another IVF practice, where I felt like a number, so I thoroughly researched places that would treat me as a person. The entire practice makes you feel like part of the family and met my expectations for a fertility journey. Every interaction, from the front desk in the morning to the nurses and doctors, was special. Dr. Palter gave me hope from my first visit and continued supporting me throughout the process. Ultimately, we successfully built our family! I highly recommend him, and we will return to him for our next child. Thank you for everything.
