Doctor Introduction

Dr. Olivia Fiori, Greece

Obstetrician-Gynecologist - Surgeon - Fertility Specialist

● Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Olivia FIORI was born in Paris and studied medicine at Saint-Antoine Medical School, Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI), from 1990 to 1996. She graduated in 1996, passed the medical internship examination, and chose to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology.

From 1997 to 2004, she trained in leading university hospital departments in Paris under internationally recognized professors of gynecology.

In 2001, she chose to focus on reproductive medicine, combining her interests in endocrinology and gynecology. Alongside her hospital training, she completed master's degrees in reproductive biology and developmental physiology at the University of Paris.

In 2004, she became a clinical director in the Paris hospital system, working in Pr UZAN's assisted reproductive medicine department at TENON Hospital.

In 2008, she left the public hospital system and helped revitalize the assisted reproduction department of a private clinic near Paris with biologists trained in Pr Frydman's department. She has continued to practice there, performing nearly 4000 IVF procedures that resulted in the birth of several hundred babies.

● Dr. Fiori believes in the mind's influence on the body, based on observations over 20 years of practice. She trained in medical hypnosis at the Paris medical university and the Milton Erickson Foundation in Arizona, USA, to help women draw on their internal resources in pursuing motherhood.

● Passionate about Greece since adolescence and impressed by the quality of the Institute of Life assisted reproduction laboratory, Dr. Fiori divides her time between Paris and Athens to provide fertility expertise to couples.

● Languages: French - English - Greek

A disastrous experience. I have so much to say because I am extremely disappointed and regret trusting this institution, especially Dr. Giatras. It was absolutely appalling that he shouted at me because I asked questions about the IVF protocol. These questions were legitimate and normal because this involved my body, my life, my project, and my money. We could not ask questions of the clinic's French coordinator, who was like an unfeeling ghost and almost useless in providing support. Fortunately, highly professional staff at the Ceki association helped me with my approach and questions. There were also costs not included in the estimate. This money-driven clinic charged additional fees step by step on the day of egg retrieval and/or embryo transfer, including a cardiac consultation and fees paid in cash to a Greek notary, even though these fees had already been paid because they were included in the IVF quote. The worst part of this disastrous experience was this: I had clearly told Dr. Giatras that, as a single woman, I wanted a single-embryo transfer to avoid the risk of a twin pregnancy. I had 2 viable J5 embryos and wanted to transfer only one, with the second vitrified for another attempt if the first transfer failed. On the day of transfer, just minutes before the procedure, Dr. Giatras told me, in his own words, “At your age, 42, you have a 20% chance that the embryo transfer will succeed. If you transfer 2 embryos, you have a 30% chance. You have 5 minutes to choose.” I had decided to transfer only one embryo, but faced with this doctor's last-minute insistence on transferring two—and his anger when he saw that I wanted to discuss it—I gave in and accepted his “recommendation.” During the 15 days I waited for the blood test, the thought of having twins caused me intense anxiety. I felt fully capable of being a single parent to one child, but raising two as a single mother, with all the professional and financial implications, made me panic. In the end, the IVF did not work, and all the stress caused by this arrogant doctor disregarding my choice clearly did not help. In retrospect, I believe Dr. Giatras forgot to tell the laboratory that I wanted only one embryo transferred. In fact, either both embryos were transferred or one was lost. A friendly piece of advice: flee this clinic, especially Dr. Giatras.

Good morning, Be careful: the Athens clinic is truly disorganized. We had a very poor interpersonal experience there, and the administrative management of treatment was also chaotic. Find out more beforehand to avoid a similar situation. We were shocked by the lack of professionalism in handling our file and by a series of problems that we wish we could have avoided. People arrive for assisted reproduction after a difficult history and do not need to go through all this during their first IVF experience. A few examples of our ‘customer experience’: two children of a third-grade teacher interning at the French School of Athens attended my egg retrieval without my consent. They were introduced to me seconds before I fell asleep, but I had not agreed. I do not know whether photos were taken or circulated as part of an internship report. The professor then sent us another couple's medical data because the man had the same name as my partner. We reported the problem, but to no avail; he continued sending us documents and told us it was good for us... The French ‘collaborator’ had worked for the Enfants Ekedos association, which was not declared to the tax authorities and has since changed its name to Ceki (since 2020). Medical fees representing about 30% to 40% of the cost of care were not itemized in the estimate provided by this French ‘collaborator.’ We discovered this unknowingly because the clinic sent us an invoice directly for far less than the amount we had paid directly to the doctor through a personal account in Germany. The Institute of Life does not work with a medical secretary based in Germany for France. The French secretary and the professor urgently called to lecture us that we should not have requested an invoice from the clinic, even though we had not requested anything at all. They had us transfer the money directly to a German account. After the payment, it became difficult to get answers, and the secretary stopped responding. We never received an apology for these particularly shocking and troubling failures. For reference, one simple egg retrieval cost us more than €9,500, and PGT-A analysis cost €340 per embryo. Initially we were told there were only 4 embryos, then 7 the next day, and 10 days later the secretary told us they had found one ‘somewhere.’ One medical report stated that we had obtained 14 embryos, which was completely false. None of this inspires confidence. The professor reimbursed us €1,700 as a commercial gesture, equal to the transfer fee we had paid, but the transfer could never take place because we had not obtained a euploid embryo. For the next stage of our journey, we chose another clinic where kindness, seriousness, and rigor appear to be essential parts of patient support. Best wishes on your journey!

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Psatha and the entire team at his clinic and the Institute of Life. I began my treatment last year, and everything went smoothly. I became pregnant in August and now have my baby girl. I highly recommend this clinic. Dr. Psathas is the best and clearly knows what he is doing. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping us become parents after years of trying.

I was satisfied with the egg retrieval process for egg cryopreservation. I deducted one star because the cashier allowed other women to go ahead while conspicuously leaving me waiting, even though I had a numbered priority ticket. This happened before anesthesia, making me anxious and raising my heart rate before the procedure. I was very satisfied with the doctors and nursing staff.

A very good hospital with the best doctor, Dr. Theodoros Kalambokas. I just want to say thank you, and may you always be happy 🌺🌺🌺

I want to share my experience as a new mother! One star for the surgical department; the entire department was perfect! The attendants on the 5th floor always smiled, were kind, and were willing to help with anything. Another star for the 5th-floor nurses, although it should be half a star because they were impossible to find. You called them, and they came a long time later while you were exhausted and needed help because everything was new. You asked them to bring your baby, but they forgot even after 5 requests! Personally, they changed a diaper once near my incision. Although we asked countless times for help going to the bathroom and changing the baby's diaper, they did not explain what to do at home. The worst part was that they fed our baby formula without asking or acknowledging it. When we left, they did not tell us the baby had been receiving more than my milk, so after we returned home the baby cried constantly. They should inform the mother so the baby does not cry or suffer. As for breastfeeding support, they came, put the baby to the breast, and left without actually helping. Both my nipples were injured, and I had to have someone else feed my child formula. You pay so much expecting more but receive nothing! The attendant had to sleep on old chairs or find an empty sofa in the lounge. Of perhaps 10 women on that floor, only 3 were worthwhile. Unfortunately, I did not ask their names and write them down.

What a chaotic and crowded place. Considering this is a private institution where you pay all costs, the service and organization are very poor. No one tells you what to do on arrival. There are no signs showing where to register, have blood tests and an ECG, or pay. You are expected to sit for hours hoping someone tells you the next step. It is a clinic where many private doctors and their assistants simply rent rooms, which I assume causes the chaos.

All the women, from the secretaries to the midwives, were helpful, and everything was well organized without delays. Because we live in the countryside, we communicated by phone to obtain the various information we needed. The embryology laboratory may be the best in Greece, and the embryologists are impeccable.
    Jan 15, 2025
I was very satisfied with the entire process. All the women, from reception to the midwives, were smiling and very helpful! My heartfelt thanks to the embryologists for giving me the most beautiful gift!

My experience at the Institute of Life was also positive. It is a well-organized center without long waits at the cashier or blood-draw station and without excessive patient volume. Everything proceeded properly during egg retrieval and embryo transfer. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my doctor, Mr. Theodoros Moustakarias, an outstanding physician and person. Thanks to this excellent doctor, I became pregnant on my first attempt at age 41. I am deeply grateful that he made this difficult process easy and helped me feel confident and safe throughout. Many thanks also to Aphrodite for being with me through it all. I will always remember you with love. ❤️

After endless suffering with unqualified providers, I successfully conceived on my first IVF attempt! The doctors and midwives are always there whenever you need them, all the center's staff are polite, and the prices are the lowest I have heard in the market.

Unfortunately, this clinic has become commercialized like many others! My girlfriend froze her eggs several years ago. Although the process went smoothly and she met her financial obligations on time, today she wanted to ask some questions and no one answered! Interested patients who live outside Athens must visit in person because you do not answer calls or emails! What a shame! Please respond promptly to people interested in IVF or freezing, or you will lose clients. Otherwise, we cannot reach you anywhere!

I was very fortunate to meet Dr. Fiori, who supported me throughout my entire assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment from France to Greece. I am also very grateful for his encouragement and humor during anxious moments. Everything turned out perfectly, and it worked on the first attempt. I am grateful for this journey and hope that all women and couples at IASO see their dreams come true. My very best wishes to you.

Many thanks to Dr. Fiori and the entire team at the Institute of Life in Athens. As a French patient, their kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness made me feel reassured. Dr. Fiori is a compassionate, reassuring, and highly skilled doctor. The clinic is modern and well organized, and the follow-up care is excellent. Thank you for your invaluable support. I recommend her without hesitation! Perrine

We have traveled here from France three times for in vitro fertilization (IVF). We appreciate the warm welcome and kind care from everyone present, as well as the professionalism of the medical facility. We especially thank Dr. Fiori, who supported us with kindness and professionalism throughout treatment in France and Greece.

My experience was wonderful and very moving, especially on embryo transfer day!!!! Everyone present was willing to answer any question, and everything was completed promptly and efficiently!!!! It also depends on our mood and patience!!!! I thank my doctor, Mr. Psatha, all the midwives, embryologists, staff, and the woman who cleaned the laboratory. Her eyes were full of understanding and encouragement, and she believed everything would go well!!!! We are all very strong, and I wish success to every woman who comes to the center, whatever the reason ❤️🌈

I warmly thank Dr. Olivia Fiori, who supported me in France and then in Greece at the Institute of Life. Her warmth, humanity, and professionalism allow you to put yourself in her hands. She truly guided me step by step and was excellent! The clinic there is spotless, with excellent facilities, reception, organization, and a state-of-the-art process. Everything is well coordinated, reassuring, and efficient. Bravo.

Dr. Fiori guided us patiently and thoroughly. Her guidance was practical, compassionate, and attentive. Thanks to her, we welcomed our wonderful son one month ago. He is doing very well.

It is essentially a public hospital: completely disorganized, bureaucratic about everything, and using outdated practices. We will eventually discuss the doctor we unfortunately worked with and his insensitive midwife on their own profiles.

Very satisfied! The ladies were all friendly and helpful! Congratulations!

We visited the IASO Institute of Life, an expensive facility whose fees would be justified if service quality and organization matched them. Our experience, however, did not meet expectations. Confusion began at the entrance. We asked in the parking area where the Institute of Life was, and staff replied, “IASO is across the street,” without clear directions. This may not be unusual, but it was disappointing for such a large, well-known facility with many clinics. Inside the institute, the process was complicated. Staff asked us to wait and said our number would be called. After a long time, we asked again, and the staff member seemed to have forgotten what she had said ten minutes earlier, asking, “Do you have an examination? Have you paid?” Although we explained that all formalities were complete, we were ultimately about 20 minutes late. The clinic restrooms also did not reflect the standards expected of a private clinic at this level. The organization is of course entitled to set its own prices, but its service and facilities should match its reputation and fees.

I had a wonderful experience at the Institute of Life (IASO). I am very grateful to the clinic and my doctor, Panagiotis Dracopoulos. My doctor is not only an excellent scientist but also a wonderful person. My first treatment was successful, and my second was equally successful.
    Nov 28, 2025
Calling them exploitative may be an understatement. They force you to undergo expensive tests, and most of the staff administering them are inexperienced amateurs.

I had an excellent experience at IASO Institute of Life. Dr. Fiori guided me through my IVF treatment with great professionalism, meticulous care, and compassion. She was always available and answered all my questions patiently and clearly, which was especially reassuring during such a sensitive treatment. I also want to highlight the kindness, humanity, and professionalism of the entire staff at IASO Institute of Life.

The service and communication at the Institute of Life (IASO) were outstanding, and the patient care and support were impeccable. The receptionists and nurses communicated professionally and warmly. I was treated by Dr. Remountis Theodoros, an excellent doctor who made the process easy and pleasant. The nurses who cared for me were also wonderful—kind, thoughtful, and helpful. They gave me great support, and because I do not speak Greek, we communicated in English throughout. I was very satisfied with everyone's work. I also clearly remember the embryologist, who was very kind and excellent at her work. Five stars are not enough to express my appreciation for their service and the entire staff, especially under the doctor's leadership.

I underwent egg retrieval with Dr. Fiori at this clinic and highly recommend both him and the clinic. From our first contact, Dr. Fiori's professionalism, availability, and clear explanations were very reassuring. Everything was well organized, from preoperative follow-up in France to the retrieval day in Greece. Dr. Fiori patiently explained every step, answered every question, and overlooked no detail. Everything went smoothly on the day of the procedure. The clinic team was also professional and attentive, and the facilities were impeccable in both appearance and cleanliness. The high-quality medical care and compassionate support helped me complete this important stage of life with more peace of mind than I expected. Thank you very much, Dr. Fiori.

We sincerely thank Dr. Fiori and the entire IOL team for their kindness and exceptional professionalism. The process was clear and rigorous, with every step carefully considered. Everything was extremely well organized. The institution is well structured, efficient, and smoothly run, which gave us great peace of mind. The care was first-rate, both personally and medically. We sincerely hope every future patient has the same experience we did.

I am being treated by Dr. Fiori and have received excellent care. Undergoing infertility treatment on my own has not always been easy, but Dr. Fiori patiently explains everything and makes me feel reassured and supported. IASO is also exceptionally well organized, with a warm reception, friendly medical and administrative staff, and a clean clinic.

The best fertility center! First, I want to thank Mr. Thomas Prokopakis for helping me become pregnant. He guided me patiently and helped me understand the importance of the process. Whenever and wherever I had a question, the team was available to help. Every member of the Thomas Prokopakis team is professional, efficient, and knows how to care for me. Everything at IASO Hospital is clean, and all staff—from reception and finance to the embryologists—are highly professional. They explained the embryo analysis process to us in detail. My husband and I are very satisfied. I would also add that the wait was very short because everything was so well organized. A positive beta hCG result on the first attempt ...

Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Olivia Fiori. None of this would have been possible without her help, determination, support, kindness, humanity, and sense of humor. Her patience, dedication, and exceptional professionalism changed our lives. We will always be grateful for everything she did and wholeheartedly recommend seeking her guidance during fertility treatment.

I highly recommend the Institute of Life in Athens for its professionalism and quality of care. Special thanks to Dr. Olivia Fiori for her professionalism, availability, and guidance throughout the process. She takes time to explain each step with compassion, which is extremely reassuring during this type of treatment. The team is capable, organized, and attentive, and the modern center provides excellent follow-up. A very positive experience that I recommend without hesitation to anyone hoping to have a child.

Although I am very satisfied with the medical staff, some areas need improvement. First, the cashier service—I should not have to wait 1 hour and 10 minutes for a 5-minute ECG. Second, the reception desk needs better organization. I arrived at the clinic at 8:00 a.m. for a 9:30 egg retrieval. I signed the anesthesia consent form and waited to be called. At 9:15, I asked for an update. They had me sign it again, then told me to wait until I was called. They had the procedure schedule in front of them, and I had to tell them my retrieval was at 9:30 so they could send me to the operating room. I understand that the workload is heavy, but it would be better not to create more difficulties for people who are already exhausted!

Highly recommended. I completed the first step of my IVF journey here with egg freezing and had an excellent experience. The Institute of Life’s facilities, staff and overall handling were outstanding - particularly reassuring for someone coming from outside Greece, with fluent English spoken and French/English documents accepted without any issue. But what genuinely made the difference to my experience was that I was under the care of Dr Olivia Fiori who is an exceptional professional: extremely attentive while being pragmatic at the same time and adaptable to each patient’s needs by thinking outside the box. Although originally from France, she has seamlessly integrated into the Greek system, combining the flexibility and responsiveness of the Greek culture with top-tier French acquired expertise and the perspective to focus on what is truly relevant for each patient.

After waiting two hours for the cashier and paying 50 euros, they said emergencies took priority and told me to come back another time. This is completely unacceptable. If I could give a negative rating, I would.

No further explanation is needed because I have the best doctor. Mr. Pachydakis is first and foremost a genuine person, as are Georgia and Katerina in the secretarial office. They are always there when I need them! They answer my calls at any time! I highly recommend him.
    May 12, 2026
Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing regarding communication about financial matters. We were never informed of an offer related to the cost of storing frozen embryos, so we were unable to use it afterward even though this resulted from their failure to inform us. In addition, they showed no understanding or willingness to compromise by making an exception in our case. I believe such sensitive matters require greater responsibility, transparency, and respect for the people who place their trust in the clinic.
