I received treatment here for 11 months and successfully graduated. I can only thank the doctors for achieving results through reliable techniques. I chose the clinic because it was relatively accessible and had a good reputation. You can choose your doctor each time, and I always requested a female doctor. A few had questionable attitudes, and one gave me incorrect information about subsidies, but most were kind and accommodating. It is busy and somewhat like an assembly line, but that also makes it straightforward and less burdensome. During treatment, I was shocked when told that proceeding that day would be pointless because my numbers were poor. In retrospect, this allowed me to move to the next step sooner and save valuable time. I conceived after my first IVF cycle. Including waiting, each visit took about one to two and a half hours from check-in to completion. The clinic aims to help patients balance treatment and work. In addition to providing appropriate care, it has a computer workspace, so I think it is accessible for working women.

After four unsuccessful IVF cycles, I transferred to Sugiyama Obstetrics and Gynecology in desperation. At my previous hospital, repeated transfers failed even with high-quality fertilized eggs, and the egg quality was blamed. The doctors at Sugiyama were kind and recommended various tests. After polyp surgery, treatment for chronic endometritis, and taking tacrolimus, my second transfer after changing clinics succeeded. I am now eight months pregnant, and the baby is developing without problems. Without meeting Dr. Nakagawa at Sugiyama, I could not have completed treatment within the insurance-coverage period and would have worried daily about how long I could continue paying out of pocket. I am deeply grateful.

I transferred to this hospital because of its good record and convenient location. Four transfers at my previous hospital had failed. I was told embryo quality might be the problem, so we retrieved eggs again and transferred a 4AA embryo. I became pregnant! I also appreciated being able to choose a doctor. The wait was not long. Unfortunately, there are many Chinese patients. Some lack courtesy and arrive in groups, speak loudly on the phone, and even do not wear masks. I wonder why they are so careless. There were no other problems.

I turn 42 this year and just graduated from this clinic. My first child took five years at another hospital with self-funded treatment, but I graduated after only seven months with my second, although treatment was covered by insurance. The best feature is the in-house childcare center. For a flat ¥1,100 at any time of day, experienced staff care for your child until the consultation ends. I could leave my one-year-old son with friendly, familiar staff each time and focus on my visit. Because consultations were insured, I understood the limitations, but sometimes wondered whether the treatment was always the same and whether we would simply repeat it after an unsuccessful retrieval. Still, I graduated quickly after two transfers, so the outcome was good and I am grateful. I thank the doctors, nurses, staff, and especially the childcare workers.

I graduated last September and gave birth this May. Shinjuku Sugiyama Obstetrics and Gynecology was our second clinic. I chose it because it is well known for infertility treatment, opens on weekends, and offers evening appointments after work, though it was nearly an hour from home. At my previous clinic, appointments involved waits of two to three hours plus another hour to pay. This clinic had almost no waiting and was stress-free. I could choose from many doctors and find one who suited me. All the doctors were good, but I am especially grateful to Dr. Ishiyama. His advice was precise, and his kind consideration of treatment truly saved me. The nurses were kind and courteous, and the receptionists thoughtful and friendly. I am glad I chose this clinic. I hope to receive your help with a second child as well.

Here, I was able to balance work with infertility treatment, and a few days ago I delivered safely. ・Open until late at night ・You can work while waiting, with a waiting area that has power outlets ・Open Saturdays and Sundays ・Easy appointment booking ・Provided the treatment I wanted in the shortest possible time ・The examination rooms are also clean Thank you very much!

I have been coming here for about a year, and my second embryo transfer was successful. Although I had to consider work and the physical strain on my body, I was able to choose a plan that did not place too much stress on me based on my condition at the time. Dr. Ishiyama was especially helpful and easy to talk to. I recommend weekday appointments because waits are longer on weekends.

I became pregnant after my fourth IUI and have now successfully graduated from the clinic. At another hospital, I was told that I was not ovulating normally and that IUI was impossible, so they immediately recommended IVF. I was very anxious and came here based on positive reviews. When I met Dr. Shiohara, he smiled and told me, “You are ovulating.” I felt very reassured. Dr. Shiohara answers every question, considers his patients' feelings, and responds flexibly to circumstances. Because I have a chronic condition, I asked my mother to attend an examination with me, and he kindly agreed. Every visit with him put me at ease. I cannot thank you enough. I am sorry I could not see you, but I believe I will give birth to a healthy baby! Thank you very much. ・The clinic can be crowded, but visits finish within an hour, so it is not too stressful. ・The facilities are comprehensive and exceptionally clean. ・The nurses and receptionists are courteous and friendly. When I graduated, the receptionist who handed me my referral letter was as happy as if it were her own news and smiled while saying “Congratulations” several times! I was delighted.

I found him through a friend's recommendation and worked with him for only three months. I was finally able to graduate safely! I am glad I saw him because he performed various tests and recommended the best approach. The hospital is clean, and the waiting room is spacious, so I could wait comfortably.

I do not even want to give one star. This clinic wastes your time and money. They give you more medication than you need, delay the egg-retrieval date, and when there are no results, tell you to try harder next time.

I am 39 and my husband is 45, and I became pregnant after our fourth IUI. I think treatment worked because I could balance it with work despite male-factor infertility. There was no single attending doctor, but information was shared, and I could ask questions whenever I had concerns, so I had no particular worries. Even with an appointment, the wait can be about an hour, although sometimes you are called immediately. Saturdays and Sundays are crowded, but that is unavoidable because treatment must align with each cycle. Even so, I was grateful that I could attend without taking days off, including on weekends and public holidays.
    Aug 29, 2024
They see patients on weekends and holidays, so treatment schedules are not canceled because of hospital closures. Many of the doctors are also kind. We underwent IVF, and the rate of embryos developing into blastocysts was much higher than what I had found online.

Other reviews mention this person, but Kim K in the blood-draw room is the worst. When I first asked how to receive my medication, I was suddenly scolded. His expression was obvious even behind a mask. No one had ever spoken to me in that tone, and I was too shocked to respond. I am sure nearby staff could hear. Could someone have guided me? Apart from this person, I thank the doctors, nurses, receptionists, and everyone else for their courteous, friendly care.

I underwent one timed-intercourse cycle and two rounds of IVF, and became pregnant through the second frozen embryo transfer. I graduated successfully at my 8-week checkup! At first I did not choose a specific doctor, so I saw several doctors and learned who suited me and who did not. This allowed me to meet Dr. Nakao and overcome my anxiety about infertility treatment. She is very calm and soft-spoken, a doctor you can trust. She never rushes you and always checks whether you have any questions. I would also like to consult her about a second child! Just one thing... I was disappointed that so much blood was drawn at once and that when I had to have blood drawn twice, the nurse calmly continued without apologizing.

I underwent IVF at this hospital, became pregnant, and successfully graduated from the clinic! I chose it because they also treat men, appointments are easy to book, and treatment is manageable alongside work. There can be a wait even with an appointment, but the calm environment let me work or research, so it did not bother me. ★Doctors★ I tend to be negative, so I mainly requested a cheerful doctor. That positivity encouraged me through difficult times. When our schedules did not align, other doctors saw me, and they all examined me carefully, so I never felt anxious. If you ask questions, they answer based on their knowledge. At first I struggled to think of questions, but I decided that learning to think and ask questions was necessary for becoming a mother, so I tried to be as proactive as possible. ★Nurses★ I greatly appreciated their compassion. Their kind words during my husband's surgery and my egg retrieval and transfer were very encouraging. I was not good at self-injections, but their careful instruction helped me manage them. ★Staff★ Their courteous, gentle manner was very helpful. I admired how they handled so many things in the waiting area. Their teamwork is impressive, and each person works wonderfully. ★Interior★ It is clean and calming on every visit, which eased the emotional instability of treatment. The work-friendly desks made balancing treatment and remote work easier. Free water and hot water were appreciated, and there are vending machines. Reclining chairs in the waiting room for egg retrievals and transfers also made the wait comfortable. ★System★ Online booking is convenient. On arrival, email and app notifications tell you where to go, making everything easy to follow. Because natural conception was not possible, ICSI was our only option, but both egg retrieval and embryo transfer were irreplaceable experiences. I was moved when the embryo was returned during the transfer. It costs money and time and can be emotionally difficult, but I recommend this relaxing clinic. I would use it again when considering a second child.

Weekends are understandably busy, but consultations are thorough. Every doctor is compassionate, so even when I booked without specifying a doctor, I felt comfortable speaking with whomever I saw.

After two miscarriages, I was referred to this hospital for infertility testing and was able to graduate successfully. I often felt anxious or did not connect well with the doctors, but when I met Dr. Maruyama, his gentle, easy-to-understand explanations reassured me through the end. I am truly grateful that he handled my concerns well and relieved my anxiety. I also appreciated being able to request a specific doctor.

I was treated here from February through September 2014 and graduated successfully. Despite the large number of patients, the staff, nurses, and doctors remained very attentive. Trying to conceive was mentally and physically difficult, but I am glad I came here.

・The wait for a doctor's appointment is astonishingly long. So long. - The daycare center's phone service is the worst. The woman said, “What? There are no openings.” There were indeed no openings, so I canceled the consultation. ・The entire process is manual, so you have no choice but to take it slowly.

He developed a mild complication and was refused treatment because they said it could not be treated at home. The reason was unclear, and I was dissatisfied because the explanation made no sense. They could have known from the pre-submitted medical questionnaire, but it took 4 hours for them to refuse him, which I found very rude.

I transferred here and became pregnant after one egg retrieval and one transfer. Including my previous hospital, this was my fourth transfer. The hospital is clean, and the receptionists and nurses are responsible. The doctor listened carefully, and I did not feel processed on an assembly line. If there is nothing special to discuss, the examination takes about one minute. From reception to payment takes about an hour. If you discuss treatments that interest you, the doctors are flexible. I recommend doing so. The hospital's strength is that treatment is not one-size-fits-all; you can choose from several approaches. With many doctors available, I could request one each time and obtain a second opinion without transferring, such as asking, 'Doctor A suggested this; what does Doctor B think?' Several doctors assisted during my retrieval cycle, Dr. Nakagawa during transfer, and Dr. Ishiyama during post-pregnancy checks. Director Nakagawa is intelligent and ambitious, while Dr. Ishiyama is gentle-spoken and courteous. Thank you very much.

Some negative reviews are self-centered, so I felt compelled to write. I had IVF here, became pregnant, and also received care here for my second child. [Doctors] It may help to learn each doctor's reputation by word of mouth. If you dislike strict doctors, avoid them. [Staff] They are like staff at any regular medical institution. What do people complaining about poor treatment expect from a clinic? [Embryology] Some posts claim the culture is poor, but I question their basis. Do they understand how difficult embryo culture is? [Waiting time] Even with appointments, there is a wait. Some say advance booking is unnecessary. I booked weekdays and holidays, and waits were not as long as reported, usually about 30 minutes. However, arriving before the appointment means waiting over an hour for blood results, so I check in 30-45 minutes early.

I underwent IVF here and graduated successfully. Thank you. ⚫︎Waiting time My first appointment was on a Saturday, so the wait was long, but most weekday appointments went smoothly. ⚫︎Doctors You can request a doctor. From the start of IVF, I consistently requested Dr. Ishiyama. He examined me thoroughly and addressed all concerns. I was glad to choose a doctor who suited me. ⚫︎Hospital There is a desk with outlets in the back where you can work on a computer. The Wi-Fi is fast and helpful.

My husband had low sperm motility, and I thought IVF was our only option. After he took supplements sold by this hospital, however, his sperm count improved, and we were able to conceive after our second IUI. I graduated today and am truly grateful for your help. The system was convenient: it was easy to make appointments through the app and have someone call me, and the clinic was always clean and attractive. Thank you very much.

First, thanks to the attentive care provided by this clinic, I was able to become pregnant safely. I am especially grateful to Dr. Ishiyama and Dr. Shiohara for their tremendous help. Although there are some negative reviews, I found this to be a very good clinic with excellent doctors. I wanted to write this in the hope that it helps others with similar problems. Last summer, at age 38, I underwent infertility testing for the first time, and my husband's semen analysis showed a problem. We first tried IUI, but it did not go well, so we quickly moved to IVF. Eight eggs were retrieved, and 4 became blastocysts: 3 were graded 4AA and the remaining one 4AB. I had worried about pain during retrieval, but it was less painful than expected. I was deeply impressed by Dr. Ishiyama's communication skills, the strong sense of safety and trust he inspired, his advanced technique, and the excellent embryologists. Dr. Shiohara also caused no pain during ultrasound or IUI. Both are gentle, excellent doctors. Consultations were very thorough, and they always listened to my feelings and circumstances. At one point, my IUI result was negative and I was in tears, but Dr. Shiohara's precise, considerate advice helped me regain my composure. Thanks to this, I was able to take a positive step forward and quickly become pregnant after just one IVF frozen embryo transfer. The clinic is clean, and the reception staff are polite and smiling. There are negative comments about the nurses, but everyone was generally kind, and I had no problems. Blood draws were not entirely painless and caused some bruising, but that is unavoidable when a needle is used and would be the same at other hospitals. I graduated from the clinic today. If I deliver safely, I would like to return for care when trying for a second child. Thank you very much for your time.

This is a wonderful hospital. After six months of general infertility treatment and six months of assisted reproductive technology at this hospital, I became pregnant and successfully graduated. After moving to IVF, I had one egg retrieval and became pregnant after my second transfer. At first, I was nervous because this was my first fertility clinic, but the doctors, nurses, receptionists, and everyone involved were courteous and kind, so I completed treatment with confidence. The facility is very clean and has ample workspace, so even while busy, I could balance work and treatment. The clinic's systems also protect privacy, making visits efficient and stress-free. I particularly requested Dr. Ishiyama. He is an excellent doctor who cares deeply about patients and gives accurate opinions and advice. Thank you very much.

I would prefer to give zero stars. I went for a premarital examination. It was my first visit to an OB-GYN, and I was nervous, but the instructions felt impersonal, as though I were on a conveyor belt, which I disliked. When I asked about my concerns during the consultation, I received little response. Perhaps they were busy, but it ended quickly and made me feel they did not care about me. My partner is stationed overseas, so we live apart. His results showed a problem, and he was referred to a male infertility clinic. I asked what couples in a marriage like ours should do, and the response was, “Well, there is nothing I can do. Just do your best.” I was shocked. I went home and researched it myself, learning about options such as sperm freezing, artificial insemination, and IVF. I cannot understand why these options were not explained. Also, although I said I was taking vitamin D supplements, the doctor insisted on a vitamin D blood test. As expected, there was no problem, and I still cannot accept being made to pay nearly 5,000 yen for no clear reason. Although long waiting times may be unavoidable, this experience left me unable to trust their infertility treatment.
    Jan 25, 2025
I had three unsuccessful transfers at other hospitals. I became pregnant after my fourth transfer. The clinic is busy, so it is best to make an appointment without requesting a specific doctor, as you will be seen sooner. Having different doctors can also help you find one who suits you. Egg retrieval is performed under local anesthesia, so it is somewhat painful. My anatomy made the procedure difficult, so it took a long time before a more experienced doctor took over. Although this is a popular hospital with many doctors and nurses, I found it operated more smoothly than a single-doctor clinic. There is no evening clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays, making treatment difficult to coordinate with work.

I began infertility treatment last February and am finally pregnant with my long-awaited first child! My heartfelt thanks to the doctor and all the staff. A friend introduced me to this clinic. I believe it has an excellent reputation, and many international patients also come here. If you are considering infertility treatment, I highly recommend her! Of course, I will also return for my second child. Thank you so much!

I started IVF in October and successfully graduated today in February! Before going, I read the reviews and requested Dr. Ishiyama, whom you can specify when booking, because people had only good things to say. I am so glad I asked for Dr. Ishiyama! I was nervous because this was my first IVF treatment, but Dr. Ishiyama's egg retrieval was far less painful than I expected, and I had a positive result after just one retrieval. During the blastocyst transfer cycle, I did not ovulate and worried about what would happen if the transfer did not go smoothly, but I was reassured that there would be no issue with IVF. Although it was a short time, thank you very much for your help. I am deeply grateful.

I wish patients were not spoken to in an overbearing manner at their first visit. In the examination room, the doctor casually asked a question. I thought he was asking a subordinate or administrative staff member, but it turned out he was asking me. Would you ask the question in the same way if the patient were a middle-aged or older man?

To have a second child, I visited another clinic and tried timed intercourse three times, IUI six times, and IVF three times, all without success... As a last resort, I went to Sugiyama Obstetrics and Gynecology. I planned to stop if I could not conceive within my insurance coverage, but I became pregnant after just one egg retrieval and one transfer!! I initially saw several doctors, but after reading reviews I chose Dr. Ishiyama, who stayed with me throughout treatment. He was courteous and kindly answered all my questions, which put me at ease. He sometimes made me laugh, which was thoughtful because infertility treatment made me emotionally sensitive. The wait can be long depending on the day, but it is convenient because you receive a notification on your phone. I highly recommend Sugiyama Clinic Shinjuku to anyone worried about infertility treatment!!

My first child was born at this hospital, where I underwent three rounds of infertility treatment. I used the final egg from my second IVF transfer! This time, I returned for treatment after three years. After three months, my eggs were successfully stimulated and retrieved, followed by transfer using intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and I became pregnant. I am sincerely grateful to the doctors, nurses, and embryologists. Even when I felt unwell, everyone was kind and supportive. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone struggling with infertility. I have three fertilized eggs remaining, so I may need your help again. I do not want the three eggs you nurtured to go to waste. I safely graduated today. Thank you again.

My wife and I received infertility treatment at your hospital and successfully conceived through IVF. My wife is also very grateful.

Before transferring to this hospital, I had undergone two egg retrievals and three blastocyst transfers, all with disappointing results. After transferring to Sugiyama Hospital, I chose Dr. Ishiyama based on recommendations and began treatment here. Dr. Ishiyama guided me through one egg retrieval and two transfers. During the first transfer, I caught gastroenteritis from my husband, developed a fever, and was unable to manage my health properly. He then supported me through graduation. He always gave advice kindly but was also very practical and did not let me become overly excited before the outcome was certain. I deeply appreciated and trusted him for this. Long-term infertility treatment can cause anxiety even when everything is going well. Although many challenges remain, the doctor smiled and said, “Congratulations,” today, so I want to fully enjoy today's happiness. In addition to my doctor, the nurses who handled my blood draws, egg retrieval, and transfers were very kind and efficient. I felt comfortable entrusting my care to them. I still have some way to go, but with the help of Dr. Ishiyama and Shinjuku Sugiyama Obstetrics and Gynecology, I will do everything I can to protect this precious new life. Thank you very much. P.S. A few days ago, I safely entered the stable stage of pregnancy.

When I visited the gynecologist, the doctor said, “Your husband's test results are available, but I cannot tell you here. You should go to the men's clinic. Not today, haha.” Because my husband and I have different days off and weekend appointments are difficult, I went to ask on his behalf. The doctor said, “You might be able to ask gynecology, but this is the men's clinic. Unless he comes in person, there is no need to rush.” Everyone says something different. This is not my fault. How can they have so little respect for other people's time? Additional note: They do not accept same-day appointments at all, so even if you call with concerning symptoms, you will be turned away.
    Jul 16, 2025
I was referred here from Kato Clinic, underwent my second embryo transfer, and successfully conceived. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Ishiyama for his attentive care. He is not only kind but also makes accurate judgments and provides clear explanations, allowing me to feel confident with every treatment. He thoughtfully addressed my questions and concerns and explained everything in a way I could fully understand and accept. I deeply appreciate this. I am very glad I was able to see Dr. Ishiyama. Thank you very much.

Because my AMH was low, I transferred to Dr. Sugiyama's hospital in hopes of beginning IVF as soon as possible. Under Dr. Sugiyama's care, I underwent one artificial insemination, two egg retrievals, and became pregnant after my first transfer. I recently graduated successfully at six months. The first egg retrieval failed, and a different stimulation method was used for the second. Perhaps because few eggs were retrieved, or because the doctors were so skilled, both retrievals were performed under local anesthesia without pain. You cannot choose the doctor for retrieval or transfer. Although I received treatment throughout the day, they adjusted appointment times as flexibly as possible. Requesting a popular doctor increases wait times, so I always attended without a preference, but every doctor made me feel comfortable. I may use their services again when trying for a second child.
    Aug 2, 2025
All the doctors are kind! However, the wait is too long.
    Aug 2, 2025
After two egg retrievals and my fourth transfer, I safely delivered a beautiful baby. My older sister also received treatment here, so I was mainly treated by the recommended Dr. Takamizawa. At first, I was examined by many doctors without a preference. Hearing each doctor's opinion broadened my options and taught me a great deal. Because of my age, doctors advised against transferring two embryos due to the high risk. However, Dr. Takamizawa explained everything carefully, and on my fourth attempt I transferred two embryos for the first time. One implanted, and I became pregnant. The staff and nurses were also very polite and kind, which made me very happy. Although it took about a year and a half to graduate, coming to this clinic was worthwhile despite the long journey. Thank you very much.

I came here after two other hospitals were unable to help me conceive. Treatment at the previous hospital had little effect and I became discouraged, but meeting Dr. Ishiyama brought relief. Thanks to Dr. Ishiyama, I became pregnant after my third artificial insemination at this clinic and recently delivered safely. I plan to return when trying for a second child.
    Aug 28, 2025
I transferred here and graduated within three months—one artificial insemination, one egg retrieval, and one transfer. I always scheduled with Dr. Shiohara or Dr. Harada. They are gentle, considerate, patient-centered, and explain everything carefully without leaving patients behind. They listen even to minor concerns and offer kind advice. They are truly trustworthy doctors. Their support allowed me to graduate smoothly, and I am sincerely grateful. The clinic has a luxurious, hotel-like atmosphere. Many couples attend together, and the bright, comfortable setting is very relaxing. Overall, this is an excellent clinic, and I would recommend it to anyone struggling to choose one. Thank you very much for everything.
    Aug 25, 2025
[Severe pain during egg retrieval] On retrieval day, the clinic was crowded, and I was surprised that surgery began immediately after anesthesia was administered. I wish they had waited at least five minutes for it to take effect. The pain was unbearable. A nurse asked, ‘Are you okay?’ but I could not speak. The doctor said nothing. They clearly seemed busy. Even for routine examinations, each doctor gave a different answer. Perhaps because I did not specify a doctor, I often wondered whether they had read my chart. Perhaps because they promote natural conception, they recommended treatments with limited effect. I often felt they wanted to keep me there longer simply to take my money. Work also made scheduling difficult, which was my responsibility. I had an overseas business trip, so we discussed my schedule in advance and arranged each examination. At the last moment they said, ‘If you cannot come this day, we cannot retrieve your eggs. I specifically wanted you to come.’ I was stunned because I had already told them I could not attend that day. I wondered whether they just wanted me to come for a brief examination so they could charge me. A single examination costs at least 10,000 yen, and I could not help thinking I would rather spend it on a good meal. Haha.
    Aug 21, 2025
Over more than a year at this clinic, I underwent three artificial insemination (AIH) cycles and two intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles and recently graduated successfully. Dr. Tani took excellent care of me, including examinations and egg retrieval. He always recommended necessary treatment, and I trusted him to tell me appropriately when treatment was not currently needed. I was surprised that repeat examinations which had been painful at another hospital hurt much less here. On retrieval day, he even performed my procedure between other patients' outpatient appointments. His care was so attentive that I am glad I sought his help. I sometimes felt discouraged during treatment, but the doctors' determination also comforted me emotionally. Thank you very much.
    Aug 20, 2025
Experiences vary, but I did not get along well with the director, whose manner felt somewhat patronizing. The other doctors seemed to put patients before money, but I did not get that feeling from the director. The other doctors made sure I did not waste time and were much better.

The doctors were well organized, the examinations and treatment went smoothly, and they carefully answered my husband's questions, which I greatly appreciated! I believe the success rate is high. The clinic is clean, and the staff are polite and pleasant. However, it would be more convenient if we could tour the semen collection room in advance. Thank you.

This was my first fertility treatment. After watching introduction videos for several hospitals, I chose this well-known hospital because it appeared to offer various advanced treatments. I became pregnant after one egg retrieval and two transfers. The doctor I requested for my initial screening was terse and dismissive when I asked questions, so we were not a good fit. When starting insurance-covered treatment, I requested a doctor with good reviews here. As the reviews said, the doctor answered my questions about the screening very carefully, allowing me to proceed with confidence. For egg retrieval under insurance, only local anesthesia was available, and unfortunately it was painful. However, I believe the embryo culture techniques are very good. Four good-quality embryos developed from five mature eggs. A natural cycle appears to be standard for transfer. The first transfer unfortunately resulted only in brief implantation, but the second transfer the following month implanted successfully, and I became pregnant and graduated from the clinic. After becoming pregnant, my health sometimes prevented me from requesting a particular doctor, but everyone was kind and addressed my concerns. Choosing a doctor was the hardest part of attending the clinic, but Dr. Ishiyama and Dr. Harada were especially supportive and provided thorough, clear explanations. I am very grateful to them. I will soon enter the stable stage of pregnancy. I am glad I chose this hospital and recommend it.

I initially chose this hospital after transferring because one of the doctors shared my surname, but I am truly glad I chose Sugiyama Ladies Clinic. Before transferring, I had undergone five egg retrievals and three IVF/ICSI cycles. After transferring, I had two egg retrievals and one IVF cycle, trying a new approach in which the two retrieved eggs underwent IVF together. The doctor listened compassionately to my previous treatment history and concerns, which was very reassuring. Although the hospital was nearly an hour away by train, I never minded attending. As some low-rated reviews mention, some doctors were a better fit than others, and some seemed curt. At first I did not choose a specific doctor and saw whoever was available, so I sometimes felt their words were harsh or wished they had explained more. That made it especially meaningful when I found a doctor I connected with. The doctor was dependable and encouraging and helped me reach pregnancy and graduate from the clinic. When the clinic is busy, a wait of 2–3 hours is normal, especially on holidays. At my previous hospital, a 10:00 appointment sometimes meant leaving at 15:00. By comparison, hospitals in Tokyo are highly systematized, and this one felt very fast. My fallopian tubes were blocked, and although I was in my twenties, my AMH was low at 0.8. Because the tubes could become blocked again several years after surgery to reopen them, IVF was my only option. I sincerely feel that I was able to conceive my first child in my early thirties because of support from many people. I am not yet in the stable stage of pregnancy, so I cannot relax completely, but I plan to rely on my husband's support and proceed slowly at my own pace. I hope to bring Sugiyama Ladies Clinic good news and receive their care again. I am deeply grateful to my attending doctor, all the doctors, and the staff. Thank you very much.

At 42 years and 8 months old, I decided to restart fertility treatment. I had my first child at 42 years and 2 months, and my husband and I had discussed wanting siblings. We planned to resume treatment before my insurance expired at 43, but I had difficulty weaning. Many clinics require two or three menstrual cycles after weaning before treatment can resume, but Shinjuku Sugiyama Ladies Clinic accepted me! Director Nakagawa examined me, and Dr. Sugiyama saw me when he was unavailable. Before egg retrieval, Dr. Sugiyama recommended every available advanced treatment, and I accepted them all. My goal was to retrieve two eggs, but three were retrieved over two procedures. Their grades were the best I had ever seen, and I was amazed they were really my eggs. Dr. Nakagawa even asked, “Are you really 42?” I realized how remarkable their embryo culture techniques are. I was surprised when the 4AA embryo developed into a 5AA embryo by implantation. Amazingly, I became pregnant after only one transfer. Today I safely graduated from the clinic! Thanks to Dr. Nakagawa, Dr. Sugiyama, the embryologists, and all the staff at Shinjuku Sugiyama Ladies Clinic, I graduated in about three months! It is amazing for someone aged 42 and nearly 43 to graduate so quickly, and I am extremely grateful they accepted me! Thank you very much. Sugiyama Ladies Clinic will truly do everything for you, haha. Highly recommended ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

I was already in my thirties and wanted to become pregnant, so I came here immediately. Based on their experience, they shortened the process as much as possible while respecting my wishes and supported me until I became pregnant without wasting precious time. It took about a year, but I believe that trusting the doctors and persevering will produce results. I plan to return when I try for a second child. I never requested a particular doctor, but every doctor shared detailed information, so I always felt reassured. I usually booked early morning appointments before work and did not request a specific doctor, so the waits were short and easy. The entire hospital was clean and tidy.

Six months after graduating from the clinic, I am now nine months pregnant. After experiencing secondary infertility, I tried to conceive naturally without success. Given my age, I thought it was time to try fertility treatment. I had my first consultation in September 2024, less than four months before my 40th birthday, and IVF was recommended from the start. At the second examination, Director Nakagawa said that based on my husband's sperm count and motility, ICSI was our only option. We began ICSI in October 2024. First attempt: egg retrieval → only 1 embryo → fresh embryo transfer (unsuccessful) Second attempt: egg retrieval → all 5 embryos frozen, one cycle off, then frozen embryo transfer (unsuccessful) Third attempt: transfer of 2 frozen embryos → 1 implanted, followed through 8 weeks of pregnancy, and graduated in March 2025. A main reason I chose this clinic was that I felt I could continue treatment while working full time without telling people around me. It is a large infertility clinic with a strong track record, which was another reason we chose it after also consulting these reviews. Other factors included convenient access, about 30–40 minutes from home with no transfer, weekday evening and weekend hours, and an on-site childcare center. I initially thought my husband would need to attend several times. Both partners must hear the initial explanation, but he could join by video call through LINE or a similar service. If visiting is inconvenient, a collected sperm sample can be brought in within two hours, so in an extreme case the male partner does not need to visit the clinic at all. My husband collected a sample at the clinic the first time and brought a sample collected at home the second time. The clinic is clean. Many people wait in the waiting room, and although we did not speak, it felt like being surrounded by friends. An acquaintance who has worked at about four infertility clinics in Tokyo said most clinics are similar, with doctors working seriously and bureaucratically, almost like an assembly line. I used the childcare center once. My oldest child is 5 and was much older than the other children, who were babies or around 1 year old. Two childcare workers supervised them in a spacious area. I assume the children are kept on a separate floor out of consideration for other patients, so they do not appear in the waiting or consultation rooms. Patient flow is well managed. The treatment sequence also seemed clinically logical. If you are approaching 40, the doctor may recommend IVF because of insurance coverage limits. If you have another 1–2 years, I think you will probably start with artificial insemination. Egg retrieval → fresh embryo transfer → if unsuccessful, frozen embryo transfer → if still unsuccessful, transfer of multiple embryos, such as two. Because this carries a twin risk, the doctor will ask whether you consent. I could book a specific doctor before 5 p.m. on weekdays, but after 5 p.m. the doctor-selection slots were unavailable. From my first visit through the first cycle, I did not request a particular doctor and was seen by Dr. Tani, Director Nakagawa, and Dr. Shiohara. From the second cycle onward, I mainly booked Dr. Shiohara. I finally became pregnant and am now close to my due date. I am very grateful to the clinic. Because treatment time and finances were limited and I wanted to conceive without unnecessary detours, they recommended IVF from the beginning. I appreciated being able to undergo IVF while working without telling my company. Egg retrieval had to be performed on the morning of a specified date, so I took two mornings off for personal matters. I attended other appointments after work or on Saturdays. All appointments and calls were handled through the app and email. It took time to adjust, but except during the busy New Year period, I was usually finished within 30 minutes of my appointment time and, including payment, within about 90 minutes. This refers to consultations other than retrieval and transfer. Insurance did not cover time-lapse imaging, but covered the other costs, for a total of about 500,000 yen. I deducted one star because when I called to reschedule my first retrieval, I learned that the trigger injection scheduled for the previous day also needed to be delayed by an hour. The doctor mentioned this only on retrieval day, and I felt that better timing might have produced more embryos. Retrieval is expensive, painful, and hardest to schedule, so I did not want to undergo it frequently. Also, my first child was conceived naturally soon after we began trying, but after seeing my husband's sperm motility results, the doctor said, ‘It is amazing that you conceived your first child. It was a miracle.’ This made me uneasy. Admittedly, I was 34 and my husband was 37 at the time, but the comment stayed with me. Otherwise, I think this is a good and conveniently located clinic.

Thanks to Dr. Ishiyama, my wife is pregnant!

There are plenty of seats, tables, and power outlets. Although there can be a wait, appointments are convenient and easy to balance with work. After seeing several doctors, I chose Dr. Kataoka. Until I graduated from the clinic, he answered my questions calmly and objectively. He happened to perform both my egg retrieval and transfer. I had heard these procedures were painful, but whether because of his skill or the clinic's methods, I completed them with almost no pain. The receptionists and nurses were kind, and many seemed highly skilled at drawing blood. Everyone's experience differs, but they were very helpful with the pain I had feared most. Thank you very much.

I was very dissatisfied with my examination by Dr. Shiohara. The visit ended only one or two minutes after I entered the room, and I felt as though I was being shown the door. He showed no consideration for the patient and offered almost no explanation. Even when prescribing medication, he did not explain its purpose or the follow-up plan, nor did he discuss the test results or next examination. His manner was cold, and I felt he did not care about patients at all. I have been examined by many doctors without requesting anyone in particular, but Dr. Shiohara's attitude was the worst. I was truly shocked by Dr. Shiohara!

Thanks to this clinic, I was able to welcome a healthy second child. The waiting areas for egg retrieval and consultations are very clean and feel like a hotel lobby. Visits are by appointment, so waits are not long, and Wi-Fi allows many people to work while waiting. The front desk staff are also as welcoming and attentive as hotel staff. Many specialists are available, so you can choose a doctor who suits you and see that person regularly. Dr. Nakagawa was very kind to me. His light conversation during consultations helped me relax during stressful infertility treatment. I still have some frozen eggs. For the sake of the country, I might consider a third child, but I have given up on that physically and financially. Still, if there were a next time, I would definitely return. I personally believe the keys to infertility treatment are egg-retrieval techniques, including hormone therapy, and embryo-culture technology. I heard the clinic has invested heavily in its facilities, so I highly recommend it. Thank you very much for your help. I will cherish the life you gave me.

I received infertility treatment here! All the doctors and nurses were very caring, and I felt completely comfortable placing myself in their care. Because it is a popular hospital, it can be difficult to book appointments even after finding a doctor who suits you, but I still recommend it!!
    Oct 28, 2025
I came here for my first infertility treatment and successfully conceived my first child. There are many doctors, and after seeing several of them, I found one who was approachable and suited me well. Blood draws and injections are handled efficiently and systematically, which was ideal for me because I never had to worry. For now, I hope for a safe delivery. If I decide to have a second child, I hope to return for your help.

This clinic is excellent for someone like me who values efficient systems. Although everything is explained in detail at each visit, I do not think the clinic is well suited to people who are anxious, negative, or unable to research things independently. The clinic is calm and logical, so I found everything easy to understand! I graduated after 8 weeks.
    Oct 27, 2025
Although I arrived at my scheduled time, I still waited more than two hours, making the appointment meaningless. Even when I asked the front desk, the response was slow and took a long time, wasting my time.
    Nov 7, 2025
The wait is far too long. It may be better to arrive one or two hours after your appointment time. Appointments seem meaningless. The only person who apologized was the receptionist, who was pleasant. The doctors and nurses did not even say, “Sorry to keep you waiting.” If you only need to check in and leave, perhaps there is nothing to complain about. Also, the nurse Shira○ in the second-floor blood collection room spoke too casually and repeatedly said, “Yes, yes,” which was uncomfortable. Even the doctors use respectful language, so I wonder whether the hospital provides any staff training. The receptionists are polite, and 70% of the doctors are polite.
    Nov 6, 2025
Your detailed explanations made me feel at ease during treatment. Thank you for your care.
    Nov 4, 2025
I first went there around November 2023. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and receiving care at an obstetrics and gynecology clinic near my home. After four unsuccessful attempts at another hospital, I transferred to Sugiyama Hospital. Amazingly, I became pregnant at age 42 and am now nursing a healthy baby. At my first visit, Dr. Ishiyama gave such a thorough explanation that I decided to receive care there. Later, when I developed uterine fibroids, Dr. Maruyama and Dr. Tani explained the condition in accessible language and put me at ease. I later received care from Dr. Takamizawa and Dr. Hayashi. I am very grateful for all the doctors' attentive care. I paid entirely out of pocket, spending about 1.5 million yen in total. I tried every method recommended with PGT (preimplantation genetic testing). Because I was only 20, I decided at the last moment to try everything, and it worked on the first attempt. I did not want any regrets. Weekends were crowded and somewhat tiring, but I believe the results were good. The system is well designed. The doctors, nurses, and counselors are friendly, and the clinic is clean.
    Nov 2, 2025
After about three years of infertility treatment at another clinic, I was introduced to Dr. Sugiyama and transferred here. I am so glad I found such an excellent doctor! In my case, I needed only one egg retrieval and one IVF cycle, became pregnant within six months of transfer, and was successfully discharged. Appointments, blood tests, procedures such as egg retrieval, consultations, and internal examinations are all communicated through a smartphone app, with email notifications as well. Once you become familiar with it, it is very convenient. After an appointment, the wait is about 30 minutes. Including payment, the entire visit takes roughly an hour and a half from the appointment time. The doctor schedules return visits according to your treatment plan, but I recommend booking with the same doctor whenever possible for continuity. Electronic records make it easy to book any doctor, but having a primary doctor familiar with your condition is important and reassuring. Dr. Tani was very kind to me. He carefully reviewed my record, was gentle and approachable, looked me in the eye while speaking, and ended every consultation by asking, “Do you have any other questions?” This was very reassuring. He tailors treatment to each patient's circumstances. Dr. Tani never appears motivated by profit, whether treatment is covered by insurance or not, including advanced medical care. He explains the advantages and disadvantages of each option and has said, “I don't think you need treatment frequently,” which reassured me. Time-lapse imaging during IVF was not covered by insurance, so I paid out of pocket. Because it causes less damage to eggs and embryos and supports better embryo quality, I believe it was the right choice. When I learned I was pregnant, Dr. Tani repeatedly said, “Congratulations! I am so happy!” which meant a great deal to me. Your husband or partner may accompany you, but a monthly management fee of about 1050 to 1500 yen applies and is reimbursed by insurance. A semen collection room is available on egg retrieval day, or you may bring a sample, making the visit more convenient. The collection room is on the fourth floor, and since most visitors there are men, I do not think male patients would feel self-conscious. I deducted one star because some doctors, including Dr. Shiobara and the deputy director, were rather cold, did not look at me while speaking, and made it difficult to ask questions. Otherwise, I think this is a good clinic with strong results. Thank you very much.

I am very grateful that the clinic is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is also wonderful that it is open on weekends. Thank you for listening to me so patiently.
    Nov 30, 2025
Because this was my first IVF cycle and first pregnancy, I was very anxious. I was grateful that they were open on weekends, making it easy to schedule an urgent visit if needed. I especially thank Dr. Harada, Dr. Hayashi, and Dr. Takamiya for all their help from egg retrieval through graduation from the clinic! All three patiently and thoroughly explained my concerns without showing any impatience, allowing me to graduate with confidence. However, one doctor, who holds a fairly senior position, was overbearing and made me so uncomfortable that I temporarily stopped attending the clinic. I therefore believe it is important for future patients to choose a doctor who suits them. I had tried to become pregnant for many years, so I am delighted to have conceived safely! Thank you very much!
    Nov 27, 2025
I always request Dr. Takamizawa! He is gentle and always answers every question patiently! When scheduling was difficult, he always did his best to accommodate me. I no longer have to worry about when to visit the hospital, which caused so much anxiety at other clinics! Tests are self-pay, but he recommends many effective options based on the situation. Although I had not known what the problem was, we found areas for improvement, giving me some hope. Thank you ♡ I have seen negative comments in other reviews, but waiting times and the doctors' manner of speaking do not bother me at all. I know even minor issues can sometimes feel painful, but doctors sometimes need to speak clearly. If I cannot tolerate waiting, how will I cope after having a child? Despite the large number of patients, I believe all the doctors do their best to remain courteous.
    Nov 25, 2025
[Doctor] Dr. Shiohara is very considerate of patients and patiently answers even basic questions. Infertility treatment has no clear endpoint, and I wanted to give up many times, but thanks to Dr. Shiohara, I was able to continue. Regarding doctors, and this is only my opinion, I recommend Dr. Shiohara and Dr. Harada. [Waiting time] It depends on the circumstances, but I estimate about 30 minutes to 2 hours.
    Nov 24, 2025
After unsuccessful treatment at a hospital in another prefecture, I decided to travel to Tokyo for standard testing. I chose Sugiyama Obstetrics and Gynecology Shinjuku because of its strong reputation, the ability to request a doctor, and convenient location. Although the one-way trip took three hours, appointments were relatively easy to obtain, and because my visit days were fixed, I usually saw the same doctor. The clinic was very clean. Although waits could be long, power outlets and Wi-Fi allowed me to work while waiting. I found the reception staff warm and attentive. The clinic has several doctors, and after consulting a few, I found one who suited me and requested him thereafter. Even during busy visits, he clearly expressed his views while carefully listening to mine, which suited me well. He scheduled egg retrieval and transfer around my availability, and I felt almost no pain, so I trusted him greatly. As a result, I successfully underwent PGT-A and safely delivered my baby. I sincerely thank Dr. H for treating me.
    Dec 28, 2025
I became pregnant after my second IVF treatment. Appointments are convenient, and they take patient privacy very seriously. The clinic is also clean.
    Dec 27, 2025
I received treatment here for about one year and eight months. The receptionists and staff who assisted me were very kind. Wait times are relatively long, and because Chinese interpretation is available, there are more Chinese patients than at other hospitals. Dr. Takamizawa was always kind and performed very thorough pelvic examinations, so I trusted him. Of all the doctors I requested, only Dr. Takamizawa explained everything in detail during the examination. Thank you very much. I will do everything I can to ensure I do not need to return and can deliver safely. Thank you again.
    Dec 25, 2025
After four IVF attempts and two embryo transfers, I finally became pregnant. After three failures, I was emotionally exhausted and had to spend a great deal of money on additional blood tests and other treatments. I even blamed myself because I did not know what was wrong. However, perhaps the medication prescribed based on my blood test results worked, and I finally became pregnant. My doctor reassured me, saying, "You are absolutely capable of becoming pregnant," so I did not give up and continued fertility treatment. I will graduate from the clinic this year, but I will continue doing everything I can to help my baby grow healthily.
    Dec 23, 2025
I became pregnant at 43 and delivered safely at 44. My son is now 5 and growing up healthy and strong. Before this, I had undergone infertility treatment at another medical facility without success. Eventually, after asking around, I came here and underwent a blastocyst transfer, which was still relatively uncommon at the time in 2019. I emailed Director Sugiyama for advice and received counseling, after which Director Nakagawa managed my continuing treatment. When the embryo implanted successfully, Director Nakagawa shared my joy, and I could not hold back my tears. It is an incredibly precious memory. Whenever I think of it, I cherish my child even more and strive to raise him well. Thank you so much for enabling my son to meet my wife and me.

I conceived and delivered my first and second children at this hospital and am now pregnant with my third. I was dissatisfied with my previous infertility clinic, so I transferred here. After one IUI, I began IVF. The fresh embryo transfer failed, so I had a frozen embryo transfer and successfully conceived my first child. My second child was conceived using a frozen blastocyst remaining from my first treatment. For my third child, I underwent another egg retrieval, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and fresh embryo transfer and became pregnant. For my first child, six eggs were retrieved using a pain-relief suppository and topical anesthetic cream, but it was very painful. For my third child, six eggs were also retrieved using a pain-relief suppository, topical anesthetic cream, and nitrous oxide inhalation. It was painful, but I felt it was somewhat less painful than the first time. All the doctors were trustworthy and patiently answered all my questions. I am very grateful for their attentive care.
    Jan 11, 2026
I was able to conceive after three months of treatment. We used intracytoplasmic sperm injection from the beginning. The doctor listened with genuine care, so I felt comfortable discussing anything. The waits are long, but I would use this clinic again. For egg retrieval, I used local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. There was some discomfort, but no pain at all.

After a little over six months, I became pregnant and successfully graduated from the clinic. Dr. Shiohara saw me first. After I explained my situation, he gave precise advice and clearly outlined the treatment plan, allowing me to begin treatment very smoothly. Because I was around 40, I appreciated that he promptly guided me toward IVF. Dr. Shiohara was my primary physician, while other doctors saw me when our schedules did not align. One female doctor looked displeased whenever I asked questions, and I did not want to see her again. However, patients can request a specific doctor in such cases, so I do not consider this a major problem. Dr. Maruyama performed my egg retrieval and transfer very smoothly. If I need treatment again, I would ask for Dr. Maruyama. He also explained the procedure during the transfer, which made it easy to understand. I now hope for a safe delivery and wish everyone undergoing treatment a positive outcome. Thank you very much.
    Feb 5, 2026
I do not recommend Dr. Kataoka. He does not listen to patients at all. The other doctors were kind, and the nurses, reception staff, and incubator staff were also very friendly, so I felt comfortable there. Thank you for your help.
    Feb 4, 2026
I transferred here from another hospital in October 2025. They explained the risks of treatment in detail and listened carefully to my feelings and requests, which made me feel very reassured. In the end, I had surprisingly good results: 20 eggs retrieved, 17 mature, 16 fertilized, and 10 frozen. My first transfer was successful, and I graduated from the clinic. I am deeply grateful. I am especially thankful to Dr. Shiohara for his attentive care. Thanks to him, every visit felt easy. The receptionists and nurses were very kind, and the clinic's processes ran smoothly. Weekend and holiday waits can be up to an hour and a half, but even with the wait, transferring here was absolutely the right decision.
    Feb 2, 2026
After five egg retrievals, I finally became pregnant at age 41! Thank you so much! Because there are many patients, waits can be long and it may feel a little like an assembly line, but the system works well, appointments are convenient, and this is truly a great hospital. Things may not go smoothly at first, and the process can be emotionally stressful, but Dr. Shiohara is kind and explains everything patiently, so I highly recommend him. The receptionists are very busy but still extremely courteous.

I went there for an initial consultation but was treated so poorly by an arrogant female doctor that I decided to go elsewhere. As soon as I entered, she asked, "What do you want to ask?" and then remained silent. She was so intimidating that I could not even ask a proper question. She repeatedly told me that low AMH is difficult to treat, making me feel as though coming to her clinic would only be a burden and there was no point in going. The medical questionnaire was long and difficult to complete, yet afterward they said, "We know nothing about this." I was surprised and replied, "I clearly wrote it on the medical questionnaire..." They looked at it, seemed irritated, and said, "Oh, is this it?" I would never recommend this clinic to older patients or those with low AMH. It was a complete waste of time when time was already limited. I thought it might be better for younger people who can collect a lot of eggs. I spent a painful 2-3 minutes with an intimidating doctor, and the initial consultation fee was 3,300 yen... With transportation and other expenses included, it was over 5,000 yen. I wasted my money and time down the drain (;;).
    Feb 28, 2026
The receptionists and nurses are friendly. None of the doctors left a bad impression on me. However, the director is overbearing and speaks condescendingly. There may be doctors among the patients too, you know? At least it was good that my turn came quickly.

The doctors, nurses, and staff were very courteous and made me feel at ease. I had planned to visit another clinic but decided to continue here instead. The clinic is spacious and comfortable. If you request a specific doctor, you may wait because there are many patients, but compared with my previous clinic, there was virtually no wait and everything felt faster. Thank you to everyone at the clinic for making IVF treatment available over the New Year holiday. I also greatly appreciated the pregnancy test they provided.

I was fortunate to have two children through in vitro fertilization (IVF) here. I began attending in January. After several artificial insemination attempts, I had an egg retrieval in August and an embryo transfer in October, leading to my first child. I am currently pregnant with my second child using a frozen embryo. Soon after starting treatment, I developed depression while balancing work and fertility care. Dr. Harada was always kind and gave me extensive advice on balancing psychiatric medication with fertility treatment, which I believe contributed greatly to my pregnancy. I am truly grateful. The clinic allows patients to request specific doctors, which is excellent. I usually requested female doctors, and they were all kind and courteous. My only disappointment occurred on a busy day when seeing any available doctor was faster, so I was assigned Director Nakagawa. He spoke so quietly during the internal examination that he was difficult to hear, and throughout the exam he kept checking notifications on my Apple Watch. I had never encountered a doctor like this and was surprised by his casual conduct. Worst of all, when I was choosing which frozen embryo to transfer, he said, "This one is in a bad mood." That may sound minor, but I had regarded the embryo as my child since fertilization, so the harsh remark deeply upset me. A friend treated at his clinic also said Dr. Nakagawa's moods are very unstable. I recommend choosing a doctor whose mood will not affect your care.

Both the reception staff and the doctors are genuinely caring and attentive. The hospital is popular and therefore crowded, but although the staff appear very busy caring for many patients, they remain thorough, make eye contact, and clearly explain what you need to know, which made me feel reassured. I successfully completed treatment and am truly grateful. I received care from Dr. Hayashi, Dr. Tani, Dr. Ishiyama, and Dr. Takamizawa.

Thank you very much for everything you have done! Thank you!

There is another information desk opposite reception on the first floor. It appears to handle different matters, but the signage is unclear and confusing. Today, I asked an unoccupied receptionist about a Tokyo Metropolitan Government subsidy. She impatiently pointed to the information desk and said, 'Please line up over there!' I looked over and saw another patient being assisted. Reception itself was empty, and I did not know the information desk handled subsidy inquiries. I do not understand why she spoke to me in such a reprimanding tone. An appropriate response would have been: 'I am sorry, subsidy inquiries are handled at the information desk over there. Another patient is currently being assisted, so please wait behind them.' Honestly, the purpose of the information desk is unclear, and I wish they would combine the two desks. I also had an unpleasant experience at the first-floor reception a few days ago, although I no longer remember the details. The doctors and nurses on floors two through four provide excellent service, but it is unfortunate that the first-floor reception, which should set the standard for hospitality, is so disappointing.

I successfully became pregnant through IVF. I am very glad I chose Dr. Sugiyama's clinic and sincerely grateful to the person who recommended it. The receptionists, doctors, nurses, and embryologists were all very kind, making treatment comfortable and free of unnecessary stress. Wait times were short, and the clinic was clean and orderly. I previously had two egg retrievals at a local infertility clinic, but almost none of the eggs fertilized successfully. They told me, 'The cause is unknown; this is rare.' When I brought my prior records to Dr. Sugiyama's clinic, however, they explained the possible causes in detail. I became pregnant after my first retrieval and embryo transfer there and successfully graduated from the clinic. I had heard that outcomes can vary greatly between hospitals, but I never imagined the difference could be this large. I am truly grateful to have found this clinic. Thank you very much!

I succeeded after only one egg retrieval and one transfer! I am deeply grateful for their advanced techniques and warm, attentive service. At Sugiyama Obstetrics and Gynecology's Shinjuku branch, I became pregnant after one retrieval and one transfer and successfully graduated at eight weeks. I was 35 with an AMH of only 1.4, so only two mature eggs were retrieved, but fortunately both fertilized. Dr. Maruyama initially recommended trying a fresh embryo transfer. I transferred one day-three cleavage-stage embryo and unexpectedly succeeded on the first attempt. I am very grateful for his accurate judgment. Many thanks to the female doctor who performed my retrieval and to Dr. Takuya Tani, who performed my transfer. Dr. Tani was very attentive and reassuring, so I requested him for all later procedures. During my first ultrasound on confirmation day, I cried with emotion and thought, 'I am finally going to be a mother!' Thanks to this clinic's advanced technology, I achieved a result within one month of beginning treatment. The doctors, nurses, and staff were all very kind and made every visit comfortable. I would recommend this clinic without hesitation to anyone considering IVF for the first time. If I want a second child in the future, I will definitely return.

A friend recommended this clinic after becoming pregnant following just one IVF cycle. I also became pregnant after only one IVF cycle, and I am deeply grateful. My attending physician, Dr. Ishiyama, was so kind and friendly that even as a naturally anxious person, I could approach treatment positively. I believe that contributed greatly to our success. They also identified the cause of my infertility after several previous hospitals could not, which was extremely helpful. If you are struggling with infertility at another hospital, I highly recommend this clinic.

This hospital is very clean, but the process is somewhat impersonal and may not suit everyone. Long weekend waits were also very stressful. I also found that I connected very differently with different doctors! At first, I chose the doctor with the highest ratings, but he was not right for me. Dr. Nakao's calm, gentle manner always encouraged me, and I ultimately became pregnant and am now in my third trimester. I am truly grateful to this hospital!

Even when I arrive on time, I always wait more than an hour, so I do not understand the point of the appointment system.

I was nervous throughout every test, including blood draws, injections, and the hysterosalpingogram, but the doctors' patience and thoughtfulness helped me relax! Dr. Ishiyama's hysterosalpingogram was nearly painless and finished quickly. I am convinced this was due to his careful, gentle technique. If we want a second child in the future, I will certainly consult you again.

I was extremely anxious at first, but the doctors, nurses, and all the staff were very kind and made me feel at ease during my visits. I have a very low pain tolerance and become frightened easily, but thanks to Dr. Ishiyama, I was able to persevere and complete IVF treatment successfully! I was afraid and anxious about IVF, but they gave me a great deal of encouragement and asked about my pain at every visit. If I want another child in the future, I will definitely choose Sugiyama Obstetrics and Gynecology again. Thank you very much, Dr. Ishiyama and all the staff!

The nurse wearing glasses in the blood-draw room tossed a ballpoint pen onto the desk and told me to sign the consent form. She spoke quietly and seemed unmotivated, yet was overbearing, and her attitude was terrible throughout. Even before considering her work as a nurse, her behavior as a person was unacceptable. She looked like a serious middle-aged woman, but... As a grown adult, she should be ashamed. There are many younger and more capable nurses than her. Her behavior gives the hospital such a bad impression that I think she should leave. Her pockets were crammed with pens and her name badge hung so low that it was very hard to read—which was already a problem, haha—but her surname began with ‘Ko.’

There are many doctors and patients, but I was still able to book a time that suited me, and I greatly appreciated that they remained open during the New Year holiday. Although the doctors were busy, they still gave me thorough and attentive examinations, for which I am sincerely grateful.

I had tried treatment at another hospital without success, so I transferred here. I had almost given up hope of becoming pregnant, but after transferring, I conceived after just one egg retrieval and one embryo transfer. Many factors may have contributed, but the success of this retrieval was clearly much better than before. All the female doctors were kind and patiently answered my questions. Thank you very much!

I tried to conceive for about a year using methods I researched myself and preconception techniques from another gynecologist, without success. I then attended an information session at Sugiyama Ladies Clinic. After the presentation, I decided to skip artificial insemination and proceed directly to in vitro fertilization (IVF). The appointment and consultation system is automated through an app and very convenient. The clinic is close to Shinjuku Station and easily accessible, a major advantage. During egg retrieval and embryo transfer, the waiting rooms were private, protecting my privacy and helping me feel comfortable. My main doctors were Dr. Horikawa and Dr. Ishiyama. Although their treatment approaches differed, both were very reassuring. I especially remember Dr. Horikawa telling me at my first consultation, “Pregnancy is not impossible,” which brought me great comfort. I am writing this review because I successfully completed treatment today. Thank you so much.

This hospital was extremely disappointing. I went there for treatment, but they never encouraged measles vaccination. After becoming pregnant, I was told during prenatal care that the measles vaccine should have been given during treatment. I then became afraid to take trains, visit crowded places such as malls, or even leave home. They also did not tell me about the subsidy for advanced infertility treatment, and the application deadline passed. I learned about it only after buying a book on benefits available during pregnancy. I contacted the hospital to confirm my treatment completion date, but because I had missed the deadline, I lost nearly 50,000 yen. I asked the hospital to notify other patients who had received advanced treatment because I would feel terrible if they faced the same problem. They said they generally do not proactively provide subsidy information because different doctors use different treatments. Apparently, disclosure depends on the individual doctor. It seems I was unlucky and did not get the right doctor. * The measles vaccine cannot be given during pregnancy, so it should be given during treatment. * If you use advanced medical care for infertility, you may qualify for a subsidy. The application deadline is the last day of the fiscal year in which treatment ends: March 31. Applications are accepted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and/or your local ward government. Late applications are not accepted. I know infertility treatment is expensive, so I am sharing this information in the hope that subsidies and other assistance can ease some of the financial strain and anxiety.

This hospital is unbelievable. I complained of abdominal pain after my egg retrieval, but they completely dismissed it, resulting in a nightmare.

I underwent infertility treatment at a regional OB-GYN clinic for 2 years. There was no specific cause, and we tried everything from timed intercourse to IVF, but nothing worked. The embryos were always the lowest grade. During my second egg retrieval, 12 eggs were collected, but at one point none even developed into embryos. I was devastated. The hospital gave us two choices: continue treatment there or transfer elsewhere. My husband and I chose to transfer and began attending Sugiyama Ladies Clinic. Because Tokyo has a large population, fertility treatment is more advanced there, and we also included advanced medical care. The results were remarkable: the 2 years at the regional hospital seemed unreal. At my first retrieval, 13 eggs were collected and 3 embryos developed. One was graded 4 AB, the best grade we had ever achieved. It was transferred, and while we anxiously awaited the result, we learned that I was pregnant. I successfully graduated from Sugiyama Ladies Clinic just 4 months after starting there. Partly based on other reviews, I requested Dr. Ishiyama. He is well regarded by other patients, and when we spoke he was genuinely attentive and supportive. He answered every concern, allowing me to undergo treatment without anxiety and with confidence. I sincerely hope anyone struggling with infertility treatment in a regional area will visit Sugiyama Ladies Clinic at least once. We may have conceived relatively quickly compared with others, but I hope everyone struggling can have a baby. Dr. Ishiyama, thank you for these 4 months.
