    In my case, I became pregnant and graduated from the clinic in about 6 months: 2 timed-intercourse cycles, 1 IUI, 1 IVF cycle, and then 1 IUI. Each visit seemed to end quickly, so I prepared the questions I wanted to ask before entering the examination room. My impression was that rather than compassionately listening to your story, they accurately identify what you need to do to become pregnant in a short time. I graduated within 6 months, so I think it was a good place for me. It opens early in the morning and stays open later after work than other clinics, so I could balance treatment with my job.

    I started treatment at a hospital in Omori and received care here for my first through third children. I appreciated being able to visit after work.     I began receiving care at age 40. Although I became pregnant during my second IVF attempt, I miscarried at 13 weeks. One year later, I was diagnosed as pregnant after another second IVF attempt. Because I had miscarried during my first pregnancy, the doctor recommended various tests to help ensure that my next pregnancy would progress smoothly and developed a treatment plan based on the results. I feel this is now producing results. To be honest, I planned to give up after receiving the third government subsidy, but the director told me I was still within the age range for pregnancy, so I decided to try IVF one last time at my own expense. Although the future remains uncertain, I am glad that I was able to become pregnant this way.

    I became pregnant after one IVF cycle and am scheduled to graduate from the clinic tomorrow. I went through timed intercourse and IUI first. Up through the IUI stage, I had some of the same concerns mentioned in other reviews, but as an IVF clinic, I believe its strength lies in IVF. The nurses, embryology staff, and female doctor were all very kind and made me feel reassured.     Thank you for helping me when I had difficulty conceiving a second child. The clinic is clean and tidy, and the doctors and staff are courteous. I deducted one star because although the doctor seemed kind, he spoke a little too quickly and the conversation felt businesslike.     Thank you for helping with my infertility treatment since April. After reading reviews and the website and discussing it with my husband, I chose IVF Clinic Shinagawa because it is close to my home. The receptionists, doctors, and staff were always kind and courteous and made sure I felt safe and relaxed. Even when I had concerns, the doctor examined and supported me each time, so I was able to approach treatment positively until the end. I became pregnant after my third IUI.     Beginning when I was in my 30s, you cared for me for about 3-4 years. I underwent IUI and IVF and became pregnant through both. The doctor's explanations were concise and clear, which sometimes made it difficult to ask questions, but I was able to ask them at the next consultation.     I became pregnant after my first IVF cycle. Most of the staff are kind. The embryologist also explained everything very thoroughly. The wait can be long, but I found it manageable and have no complaints. It depends on the doctor; some are kind. However, others seemed uncomfortable when I asked questions, so if you want a doctor who treats you warmly, it may be better to visit another clinic.

    I had tried timed intercourse, IUI, and IVF at other hospitals but had been unable to conceive. I attended the clinic 3 times and transferred to Hanabusa for the fourth attempt. After three egg retrievals, only two fertilized eggs could be frozen, but one implanted successfully during the first transfer, and we were able to have a healthy child.     Thank you for helping me over the past 6 years. This is a popular, conveniently located clinic with good results. At first, I felt it prioritized efficiency, and it was indeed efficient. But when I asked questions and voiced concerns, the doctors, nurses, and practitioners were welcoming, gave accurate answers, and helped resolve my concerns. The doctors study diligently and have strong clinical skills, which reassured me as I received advanced treatment. They took measures to help busy patients continue treatment, such as shortening wait times and providing written explanations. Animal-bottom stickers were discreetly placed in the operating room to ease anxiety. Although they had to be removed during the coronavirus pandemic, the clinic left comics and chocolate in the waiting room and found other thoughtful ways to lift my spirits. When the clinic was busy, there was not always time for a long consultation, but I highly recommend reading Dr. Kanako's blog, where you can learn about Dr. Masasa's personality and the staff's sincere approach to treatment. Sometimes I wanted to give up because I could not see the future, but I will never forget how often you encouraged me. Please continue being an excellent clinic that brings many smiles.     I chose this clinic for infertility treatment because it was easy to reach from home. At my first visit, I met the clinic director, Dr. Kanako, who explained the treatment policy, so I felt comfortable attending. This was my first infertility treatment. I was nervous about self-injecting hormones during the egg-retrieval cycle, but the nurse explained everything in detail and helped me through it. Masaki and Yamada were also always kind and easy to approach with concerns. Because of my age, I expected infertility treatment to be difficult. After 3 egg retrievals and 3 transfers, implantation finally occurred on the third transfer. Testing before the second transfer found no specific problems, but implantation remained difficult. Before the third transfer, the clinic directed me to another clinic for two tests. Thanks to this, the issue was resolved and I became pregnant after the third transfer. I am still somewhat worried because I will give birth at an older age, but I am glad I chose this clinic. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, and practitioners involved in my treatment.     I transferred from Omori and graduated after two egg retrievals and a third transfer. I received treatment here for one year. Appointments were convenient, and visits were kept to a minimum, so I could undergo treatment while working. The doctor was kind and answered my questions, but did not explain everything from beginning to end, which sometimes made me anxious. By doing extensive research myself, I understood the treatment process and was able to approach it with determination. I am glad I was treated at this clinic because the technical skill was excellent and they recommended treatment suited to me. If you want someone to listen compassionately, I believe Dr. Yamada is the best choice. Dr. Yamada creates a pleasant atmosphere and is kind, so I was always glad to visit. She is a doctor who makes you think. At reception, newer staff responded well, but some longtime staff were stern and did not respond well when I asked questions. I have seen patients become angry with reception staff, so I hope things improve.

    I completed 5 timed-intercourse cycles and 1 IVF cycle and was fortunate to conceive during the first IVF cycle. I hesitated because I believed IVF would impose a significant physical and financial burden, but my doctor said, ‘Repeating the same approach will not change anything. I think it is a good idea to step up treatment.’ I am glad I received that encouragement. The embryo was cultured to the blastocyst stage, and its daily growth was documented in the culture report. At transfer, I was happy to think, ‘This baby is about to come...!’ Also, when I had an allergic reaction during injections to prevent OHSS, requiring daily hospital visits for about 5 days, they continually monitored me, provided ice packs, and treated me warmly. Thank you very much. I gave 4 stars because some people may care about the following points: • Long waiting times: from reception to checkout, 1.5 hours at the shortest and 3.5 hours at the longest. • If you want to view the ultrasound monitor, you must open the curtain and face the doctor. • The monitor cannot be seen during transfer, so you cannot watch the transfer itself. • In principle, the doctor determines the treatment plan and which embryo to transfer.

    I confirmed my first pregnancy at Naoka Women's Clinic and received infertility treatment here for my second child. Waits can be long after holidays and on Saturdays, but are much shorter on other weekdays. It was helpful that I could minimize the number of hospital visits. Most doctors are busy and give concise explanations. Most nurses seemed courteous and kind. After one IUI and one IVF cycle, pregnancy was safely confirmed. Because this was my first IVF treatment, I had many concerns, but the hospital staff helped me overcome the difficulties of infertility treatment. Thank you very much.

    My wife is in her late thirties, and I am in my early forties. After three IUI cycles, we became pregnant following our first IVF cycle. The doctors and staff were very courteous. Thank you very much. The clinic is clean and plays relaxing classical music, so visits felt comfortable. Egg retrieval was performed under anesthesia and was completely painless. I rested in bed before going home. It was also helpful to test the uterine microbiome at the same time. Although the cost is high, advanced-medical-care subsidies can be requested. Hormone-replacement medication after pregnancy was not covered by insurance, so it felt somewhat expensive. Booking is easy, but waits can be long when busy. If you work, allow plenty of time.

    I was referred here by my family doctor for infertility treatment and have attended for about a year. It is in a building next to the station, so on days with longer waits I can go to the nearby Starbucks, which I appreciate. All four doctors are very kind and give accurate, individualized advice on how to proceed, so I feel comfortable entrusting my care to them. All the staff work efficiently, the clinic is always clean, and I feel relaxed there. I am very glad to have received care here.

    I have attended Hana IVF Clinic Shinagawa since having my first child, and I have now been fortunate to have my second child. It took about 3 years of hospital visits before I became pregnant. Treatment had to be paused because of a miscarriage, but I stepped up treatment and became pregnant through self-funded IVF. All the doctors explain things clearly when asked, so it is best to prepare your questions in advance. The nurses are also kind and easy to talk to. Thank you very much.

    I transferred here from a general obstetrics and gynecology clinic in May 2024, became pregnant after my first IVF cycle, and graduated at 8 weeks. I do not particularly recommend this clinic for timed intercourse through IUI. As its name suggests, its IVF success rate seems relatively high. There is almost no detailed explanation from staff about IVF, so you need to ask many questions yourself. I wish they had told me in advance that everything after a positive pregnancy test would be self-pay. Treatment costs seem higher than in other areas. Fertility treatment is difficult, but I am grateful they achieved results on the first attempt.

    I became pregnant after my second blastocyst transfer. I visited the hospital less often than expected and believe the treatment was efficient. The explanations were brief, but most questions were answered thoroughly. Appointments were easy to make, and the location near the station was convenient. There was some waiting, but I think that is true at every hospital. Also, the waiting room calls patients by medical card number, but the corridor outside the examination rooms calls them by their real names.

    I spent a great deal of time and money trying to conceive. The examinations are careful. However, waiting times are long. Including the appointment, it takes 2 hours. Even on days without bloodwork, it takes an extra hour. This may be fine if you have plenty of time, but I work and found it very stressful. I did not understand much at the time and completed the maximum number of attempts, but looking back, I think I should have stopped artificial insemination immediately and moved to IVF. If you want to conceive quickly, I recommend trying 1 or 2 times and then moving up promptly. You do not need to spend so much money, time, or stress.

    Thank you for helping with my first through third children. I am very grateful that I could freeze 4 early embryos and become pregnant with every transfer! After the third IUI, we decided to move to IVF. I now wish I had tried IVF sooner. I paid out of pocket for my second child's transfer and used insurance for my third, but was surprised that I had to pay a success fee for embryos created at my own expense. It was slightly cheaper for the third child, but this was a drawback. For my third child, the process from initial diagnosis to transfer was fast and required fewer visits. Dr. Kanako and Dr. Yamada cared for me. Although examinations were quick, they smiled and gladly answered questions. The nurses were also kind. Waiting times were acceptable, since any obstetrics and gynecology clinic requires waiting. If I deliver safely, I plan to return for a fourth embryo transfer.

    I visited the clinic several times while temporarily returning from overseas. Although this was an unusual situation, I appreciated that they considered it when scheduling. Online information said low AMH treatment could take time, so I prepared for a long process, but after two retrievals and one transfer, pregnancy was confirmed. Infertility treatment often left me discouraged, but Dr. Kanako and everyone else explained treatment clearly and concisely each time, allowing me to attend with confidence. Egg retrieval and transfer were painless. It was also helpful to have questions answered through LINE and by phone. The clinic is bright, with many Starbucks locations and restaurants nearby, making visits convenient.

    My first visit was when I was 39 years and 11 months old, and only my husband and I attended. I knew nothing at first, but the video helped me understand, and I learned more about the process at each visit. About a year and a half later, on my sixth insurance-covered transfer, I underwent a two-stage transfer. From the beginning, Hanoka considered convenience around work and appointment times, and I ultimately chose IVF. Everyone has different criteria, but overall I am glad I chose this clinic and can recommend it. Each visit takes about two hours and usually includes two consultations. There are four doctors, and the doctor changes by day of the week, so you may see someone different each time. I used a credit-limit card and felt I nearly reached the limit every month. It takes time and money, but mental health matters most. I know a child is a gift, yet I kept blaming myself and wondering what was wrong with me. Mutual support with my husband was most important. I felt that Hanoka calmly guided me toward the goal, selected what was necessary, and did what was best at the time, so I decided to leave the specialist work to the specialists. Thank you very much!

    At age 41, I had a two-stage transfer during my third IVF cycle and became pregnant. Sometimes treatment did not progress well and I worried, but I was moved by the belief stated on the doctor’s website: ‘The goal is not egg retrieval or transfer, but pregnancy and graduation from the clinic in a short time.’ I am very glad I chose this hospital because the doctor considered the best treatment with me at every visit. Appointments may feel more casual than at other hospitals, but I felt they did what was needed while seeing as many patients as possible, making the clinic easy to attend while working full time.

    I chose this clinic because I could walk there from home. I became pregnant on my second cycle using timed intercourse! I measured my basal body temperature daily but could not determine the exact ovulation date, so I appreciated having a doctor check. I was a little nervous while waiting, but the stuffed animals and animal stickers in the clinic helped me relax. Weekday evenings were not crowded, so everything went smoothly.     First, you have to call out your temperature to the receptionist above. When I said I had forgotten my medical card, the receptionist sighed heavily. I did not mind paying to have it reissued, but I was told not to forget it next time. The door remained open even during blood draws. You could hear other patients’ results. I also found the internal examination table unhygienic because there was no paper covering the chair. The doctors generally had an arrogant manner and did not seem to get along well with one another. I am curious why the clinic is rated so highly.

    I graduated after my fifth transfer. When the fourth transfer failed, I considered transferring to another clinic because I would need to start over, but I decided to continue treatment here. Effort does not always produce results, and repeated attempts may still be unsuccessful. The past two years were very difficult both physically and emotionally. However, I believe I was able to undergo many tests here to identify the cause of my condition and receive appropriate treatment and advice. The doctor generally gives brief explanations, so it is important to be proactive and say what you want to know.

    The clinic is easy to reach because it is close to the station. The waiting area is always crowded on weekdays and Saturdays, and waits are often long, but seeing others working as hard as I was reassured me.     I began treatment here at the end of March this year. They started an egg retrieval cycle immediately. Before transferring here, I was treated at Hanaoka Clinic in Omori. Deciding to undergo IVF took courage, but given my age, I could not give up easily and every cycle mattered, so the prompt start to treatment helped me greatly.     I always felt confused. Come back when your next period starts → I would not have come on my own... At my previous hospital... → Oh, then I will prescribe some medication... (I had given them a referral letter.) Let's use this protocol → I think we did the same thing last time... → Oh, then never mind... Is it because I do not have an attending physician? Do they not review my medical records? Would they not prescribe this medication unless I told them about my situation? I felt confused every time. Other hospitals gave more thorough explanations and developed treatment plans with me. They always asked what the medication was like, what side effects it might have, and whether I had any concerns. I had never felt so confused, anxious, or upset, so I cannot help wondering why this hospital has such high ratings. I wonder whether other people have only been here... Every consultation with the doctor ended so quickly that I would think, "Wait, is the explanation over???" (I later asked the front desk and nurses.) It felt routine and inadequately explained. The male doctor also spoke carelessly, and I did not trust him. They did not use an ovulation test for my artificial insemination either. At my previous hospital, if the test was negative, they would first use medication to induce ovulation and then perform the insemination. This time that did not happen, so I missed ovulation and wasted time. They also performed more blood draws than other hospitals, so the cost was higher than usual. I thought they were open into the evening, but they have a final check-in time that can be earlier depending on the day. When my period began, the last appointment was no longer available. If I was still at work, attending was more difficult than I had expected. The embryologist, however, explained everything politely and patiently, making it easy to understand. This clinic does not give everyone detailed explanations, so it may suit people who want to complete procedures quickly. Because the ratings were high, I expected clearer explanations and a polite, reassuring manner. Even though I still have frozen eggs there, I will change hospitals next time.

    This was my first visit to this hospital for infertility treatment. However, because I had visited another clinic the previous day, I was surprised to learn at checkout that the visit would be self-pay. They determined that although I was considering treatment, I had only come for a second opinion. The director did not explain this during the consultation and proceeded to order blood work, which I declined after learning it would be self-pay. I paid out of pocket for the tests other than the blood work. My husband, who only accompanied me, was also charged approximately 3,000 yen for a consultation. Ultimately, 15 minutes with the doctor and an ultrasound felt very expensive. I wish they had clearly explained at the beginning that the visit would be self-pay. Regarding the consultation, I was advised to start with IVF because of my age, but since it was my first visit, I would also have liked an explanation of other treatment options. The discussion felt one-sided, and even when I asked questions, I received only brief answers, with little dialogue. The director also explained that "insurance-covered IVF has a 5% pregnancy rate, which I had already confirmed online, while self-pay IVF has a 50–60% rate." I did not understand the basis for this claim and felt strongly steered toward self-pay treatment. I also questioned whether such definitive figures should be stated privately when they are not publicly disclosed. Both my wife and I felt a somewhat overbearing atmosphere throughout the visit, which left us uneasy. Patients unfamiliar with the process receive only a cursory verbal explanation. This was so frustrating that I no longer wanted to ask questions. ③ Receptionists This may be only my impression, but the receptionists' tone was unpleasant.     I received a positive pregnancy result after my third transfer. My age may have been a factor, but after the first and second attempts, the clinic promptly investigated possible causes and wrote referrals so I could receive the tests I requested. Testing identified a recurrent pregnancy loss factor, and I conceived after undergoing the transfer while taking medication. From what I hear from patients at other clinics, failed transfers are often attributed to chromosomal abnormalities as the number of remaining transfer opportunities declines.     The doctor and I spent a day discussing the egg-retrieval date, but the hospital could not accommodate our preferred day, so we requested the day before. The doctor thoughtfully asked whether the timing worked, and I said I preferred the afternoon; they did move it earlier. On retrieval day, I checked in and the receptionist suddenly said in a harsh tone that they could not guarantee the time. I had not selfishly demanded an afternoon appointment, and I do not think the doctor left any written note.     I particularly disliked one nurse and hoped not to encounter her when I visited. The receptionists always seemed busy and were not very welcoming. All the doctors are brief, so I recommend planning ahead to ensure you have time to ask about any questions or concerns. After three IUI cycles, I began IVF. After my third transfer, I miscarried after fetal cardiac activity had been confirmed. Chromosomal testing showed no abnormality, so I was referred to a hospital specializing in infertility because the cause was thought to be maternal. The hospital diagnosed a uterine anomaly, specifically a septate uterus, and recommended surgery, which I underwent. Dr. Hanaoka told me a uterine anomaly was likely but said not to worry. Honestly, I remained doubtful about Dr. Hanaoka from the preoperative period through recovery. After surgery, I was cleared for embryo transfer. Because I still had frozen eggs at Hanaoka Hospital, I returned there for the transfer. My pregnancy has progressed well so far, and I am very grateful. Thank you. My situation may be unusual, but if you are concerned, I recommend first visiting a hospital that can perform hysteroscopy.

    Although all the reviews are positive, it seems many were written because pregnant patients can receive a free referral letter. Please do not take them too seriously. Things were fine when I first started attending, but recently the clinic has become crowded with Chinese patients, and I have had to wait in line. Intermediaries and interpreters effectively double the number of people. While I was waiting for my transfer, I was told an emergency procedure would delay me by 30 minutes. As expected, the emergency patient was also Chinese. They said 30 minutes, but I waited in bed for an hour and a half. I decided not to return. You also cannot see the monitor during the transfer, so you have no way of knowing whether the embryo was actually placed correctly.

    I was astonished by how little they shared about my test results. Since it was my first time, I asked a question, but the doctor acted as though explaining it was the staff’s job, and a staff member hurriedly answered me. After that, I felt unable to ask the doctor anything. I understand they prioritize efficiency because many people are waiting, but before I can ask questions, the doctor ends the visit as if everything has been covered, without explaining the numbers. They perform hormone blood tests but never tell me any values before scheduling timed intercourse or IUI. On several IUI days, I had been tracking my basal body temperature and wondered whether the timing was really appropriate because my temperature had already been elevated for two days. When I asked, they simply said they had not been told there would be bloodwork and assumed the procedure would proceed. For me, this was a crucial opportunity that comes only once a month, and the treatment is not inexpensive. It felt like throwing both the opportunity and money away. I learned how much distrust can grow when they do not provide specific values such as hormone levels, follicle size, or endometrial thickness. Perhaps I feel this way because I attended for a year without any results; the clinic may suit people who happened to conceive quickly. Also, the certificate for the infertility testing subsidy program costs 4,400 yen, which is expensive, and takes two months after the request.

    I previously received care at Hanaoka Women’s Clinic in Omori. Here, I completed four rounds of artificial insemination (AIH) and became pregnant on my second IVF attempt. As others have mentioned, the waiting times are quite long. However, there are cafés and restaurants in the clinic building, and you can leave temporarily, so the wait does not feel excessively long. The treatment plans and prescribed medications are not explained in much detail, so you need to ask proactively about anything that concerns you. If you ask, they are happy to answer. Treatment is fairly standardized, so it may not suit those who need close attention, but it is a good choice for people who want to trust the doctor’s plan completely and proceed efficiently. During treatment, the doctors and nurses gave me warm encouragement that was very comforting even in the hardest moments. Thank you very much.

    This clinic's service is terrible. If you are considering them, I strongly advise against it. Go elsewhere if possible. They are unfriendly to first-time patients and treat you like someone on an assembly line. Update: They did not even assess whether my wife's medication was working, and the timing was completely wrong, so she made a wasted trip to the clinic. We felt we had wasted both money and time. Terrible. Absolutely terrible.

    I underwent IVF at this clinic and had a positive result. However, because this was my first pregnancy, I raised concerns at the subsequent ultrasound, but they were completely ignored during the examination, which lasted only about a minute. After paying so much, this level of service was unacceptable. Even at 7 weeks, no fetal heartbeat was detected. Just as I was ready to give up, they prescribed another week of medication, costing 33000 yen. If it still did not work, I only wanted to stop. They did not explain why we needed to wait another week. The doctor only said, ‘We will do our best.’ I was angry and wondered, ‘What else can I do now?’ I think busy people should avoid this clinic. Even after a positive result, they treat you as a pregnant patient, but the last weekday appointment is at 4:30 p.m. They do not accept weekend appointments or see patients after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. I was tired of repeatedly leaving work early. Once, when I called to ask whether I could come after 5 p.m., they essentially said, ‘We are not responsible if anything happens to a pregnant patient.’ When I was worried about bleeding, they said they could not see me unless I arrived before 4 p.m. This made me fear what would happen if the bleeding led to miscarriage. They showed no consideration and would not accommodate my egg retrieval or embryo transfer schedule. I do not understand why this clinic has such high ratings.

    I am writing this in hopes of helping women considering or undergoing IVF treatment. I began visiting Hanaoka IVF Clinic this February. During a previous consultation in Omori, a doctor recommended that I try to conceive soon, said IVF was appropriate, and referred me here. Because it was my first IVF experience, I was very anxious, but all the nurses and doctors except one receptionist were wonderful. I did not want to begin IVF immediately, so after discussing it with my husband, we decided to try intrauterine insemination first. My husband had a semen analysis and a self-paid sperm motility test, and the doctor said the result was about 80%, which reassured me. However, the semen analysis for the first insemination was not very good. My husband was nervous, and we prepared ourselves for failure. At the consultation, the doctor said, ‘The result is low...it may be male-factor infertility. IVF would be better!’ I was confused. We had only just begun insemination, and they were already discussing IVF. I assumed the treatment plan would largely follow the doctor's recommendations, but the doctor clearly wanted IVF from the beginning. The first attempt failed. I considered IVF, but I knew a friend who became pregnant after several inseminations. At the next appointment, I said I wanted to try insemination again. The doctor seemed distracted, and the consultation ended quickly. The nurse beside him was also rushing him to finish, leaving no time for my questions. The doctor did not explain my blood test results in detail; I felt he would say nothing unless I asked. As a patient, I invested enormous physical and emotional effort and deeply wanted to become pregnant. I wish they would be more patient-centered and give each patient appropriate explanations and treatment plans. Also, all receptionists except one very stern-looking person were friendly. When I asked to leave, that person coldly said, ‘Show me your patient card!’ I do not think she is suited to reception work. Although many patients may be regulars, I wrote this review to express my sincere hope that they improve.
