Dr. Fischer is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Urology with a cross-appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He completed his undergraduate studies at Acadia University and graduated from medical school at the University of Western Ontario. He completed his urology residency in Halifax and a two-year fellowship in andrology and research genetics at Mount Sinai Hospital and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

He has published numerous articles in respected journals, authored textbook chapters, and presented his research at international meetings.
