Do not come here!!!! I wish I had read the previous reviews sooner, but because there are few options in Augusta, I decided to try it, believing everyone's experience is different. Unfortunately, I agree with most of the complaints about Dr. Jordan. She should have chosen another career instead of fertility medicine. Being a doctor requires more than understanding female anatomy; it requires compassion, understanding, and treating each patient as an individual rather than a source of income. She does not listen, insists on doing everything her way, is impatient, and is rude. I tried to explain my medical history because my gynecologist had sent her all my records, including imaging and test results, but I could not speak with her directly and had to talk to a resident. I did not mind at the time because I thought we would discuss it together later, but she never reviewed the records. When I brought it up, she dismissed me and wanted me to repeat every test because it would cost more. I understand that some tests need to be repeated, but what is the point of sending records if she will not review them? It was a complete waste of time. I had a very uncomfortable procedure today, and afterward I still had to endure her rude behavior. I suppose she does not like questions. I only wanted to explain that my husband had already completed some testing, we knew the issue was with me, and we could test him again later while focusing on my condition now. She became angry, said that if I would not follow her instructions I should go elsewhere, that there were many clinics to choose from, and that she did not have time to listen. She then walked out of the room. I told her directly that she did not want to listen and was only lecturing me. She thinks she can treat patients this way because there are few local options and may assume people are desperate enough to tolerate poor treatment at any cost. Go to South Carolina; I have already found a clinic there. Please 🙏 do not go here.

If you are reading this while looking for a fertility clinic, first, I am sorry you are going through this. Infertility is a difficult road, but it is only one chapter of your life, not the whole story. Second, do not entrust your treatment to this clinic. After completing an IVF cycle here, I sought opinions from other clinics and chose a new one. Based on my experience, this clinic wastes your valuable time and money. The clinical staff are rude and clearly do not care whether patients feel comfortable, receive proper care, or understand their treatment plans. During and after an IVF cycle, they barely communicate or provide results. You must contact them for answers and guidance. They overlook test results, embryo development reports, semen analysis results, and more, and may not even call with HCG blood test results. I understand they are busy and did not expect exceptional service, but it was worse than I imagined. The clinic and laboratory equipment is extremely outdated and cannot support the preliminary testing or advanced reproductive technology needed for a successful IVF cycle. Their ovarian stimulation protocol, at least the one used for me, was very outdated. It is no longer commonly used because of its high rate of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). I developed OHSS symptoms. They had me drink large amounts of protein shakes, yet still proceeded with a fresh embryo transfer. I now know that if I had become pregnant, I could have developed severe OHSS and required emergency care or, in some cases, intensive care. They know very little about insurance reimbursement for infertility treatment and provide no guidance on financial assistance, though assistance is available. After our cycle failed completely, I had to call and schedule a meeting with our doctor to discuss what went wrong and what to do next. It was obvious that the doctor did not know us or our case, despite treating us throughout. At the follow-up, he said they were unsure what went wrong and essentially tried to send us elsewhere. It felt as though they had taken our money and wanted us gone. I have omitted many details; the reality was much worse than described here. I strongly recommend researching other clinics before choosing this one.

Dr. Jordan has no medical ethics whatsoever. If I could give negative stars, I would. She is simply a vile person—unprofessional and lacking empathy. Dr. Jordan has a terrible attitude, does not answer questions, and only belittles and insults patients. If you are considering this clinic, do not go. It is an awful place. I regret wasting my time and money on such a disgusting clinic.

In my experience, they were very attentive and communicated well. Whenever I sent a message through the portal, they replied. In 2024, I had an ectopic pregnancy that required removal of one fallopian tube. I was very worried and upset, thinking I would never be able to have children. I tried for several months afterward without success. I was at the clinic for only three months, and with the treatment plan they developed for my husband and me, thank God I am now pregnant. It was a wonderful experience.

The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is that the reception staff were very kind. Otherwise, this review would be much longer. As a single heterosexual woman who wants to become a mother, I would not recommend this clinic to anyone in a similar situation. I had been considering IUI. I want to be a mother, but my budget is limited and IVF is very expensive. A friend was willing to be my sperm donor, and I believed this would make the process easier. However, after bloodwork, an uncomfortable transvaginal ultrasound, and a very painful hysterosalpingogram (HSG), Dr. Lehman told me that he generally would not work with a known donor. He explained that it would make the process longer, require my friend to complete more steps, and that "most women ultimately use sperm-bank samples anyway." I was prepared to wait longer, and my friend was willing to complete the extra steps because he knew how important this was to me. Dr. Lehman's response was that I could "try Columbia or Atlanta and find somewhere to do it" and, "If you change your mind, you can always come back here." Before I had time to consider those options, I received discharge paperwork from the clinic. So I was expected either to follow Dr. Lehman's plan or receive no care at all, without even a grace period. Yes, I could use a sperm-bank sample, but that is not the point. His manner was cold and dismissive, and I was very disappointed. Unless you are completely certain you want IVF rather than IUI, I would not recommend Dr. Lehman. IVF appears to be his preference, and if you are like me, you may feel pressured to follow his approach. If this is simply his personal preference, he needs to ensure his nurse practitioner knows so patients receive clear, concise information when scheduling. Had I known from the beginning that Dr. Lehman would not work with known donors, I would not have gone through this emotional turmoil. My advice is to skip this clinic and go directly to Atlanta.

I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but my experience with Dr. Jordan and all of the students has been absolutely wonderful. After a successful first IUI, I graduated from the clinic today, and I’ll definitely miss Dr. Jordan and the rest of the team! Also, keep in mind that Wellstar is a teaching facility, so students may assist and observe during appointments — but participation is completely optional.

If you read nothing else in this review, save your time and money and go to Columbia, South Carolina! I was a patient at this clinic from 2021. After countless canceled appointments, waits of over 2 hours on multiple occasions, and 3 failed IUIs with no explanation beyond “we'll try again next month,” I finally left. Also note that students performed 2 of the IUIs. When we asked on the third whether a doctor could do it, the nurse/technician made it very clear that they objected to our question and would “let us know” when they entered the room. No one said anything at the time, and the doctor performed it. That was our last visit. When I transferred clinics, they took three weeks to respond to the transport company about moving the samples stored in their laboratory. I had to call the lab 10 times in a row, without exaggeration, before anyone answered. When she finally did, she was very rude, as though I was wrong to want my samples and be upset by the delay and poor communication. Beyond the disorganization of their entire operation, my new clinic provided exceptional care from intake onward. My diagnosis is no longer “unexplained infertility” while I continue spending thousands without new testing or a plan. That alone is worth driving an hour to see a doctor who will actually do the work.

My doctor referred me to Dr. Jordan for infertility treatment. I have called for a week, and no one answers or responds. This is terrible service, and I will find another provider. Why have phones and staff if no one can or will answer paying customers who are trying to give this clinic a chance? Unprofessional service. They do not even try to return calls. Do you simply sit there, let the phone ring, and send it to voicemail? I do not understand!

I am giving this place one star because this doctor's office is a scam! They do not tell or remind you that if your insurance does not cover infertility, the required initial testing costs about $5,600, and no insurance plan in Georgia covers infertility. A single swab for genetic testing costs $3,600. That alone should be disclosed in writing when patients are asked whether they want the test. These costs come before IVF, which is $10-15k per round. When you call billing and ask them to change the infertility coding for these initial tests and visits, they will not even try to work with you. They should give patients a list of all proposed exams and tests, excluding IVF, so they can obtain them through their regular OB-GYN without infertility coding. This process left my spouse and me so discouraged that we no longer even want children because the preliminary process alone is so expensive!

I wish I could give zero stars. I completely agree with every review recommending treatment in Columbia, South Carolina. Do not go here—do not make our mistake! Over the past year, they wasted substantial time and money, including 4 IUIs, each with a 2-hour wait despite a scheduled procedure time. They also repeatedly billed my ultrasounds incorrectly, and a student performed them every time. The billing errors were so persistent that I contacted a health insurance adviser, who said they were using the wrong codes because my insurance covered far more than they entered. Our final IUI there was over 4 months ago, and I am still disputing the bill. They make you feel hopeless and like a “number” rather than a patient and make no effort to put you at ease. My greatest regret is wasting so much time and money at this institution. If I could start over, I would choose a treatment center in Columbia. **Piedmont Reproductive (PREG) in Columbia is wonderful. They truly care, and the billing team is excellent. I strongly recommend considering them!**

I would give 0 stars if I could. I have had the worst experience with this clinic. They never answer the phone and take days to return calls. My original virtual appointment was scheduled for September. Unfortunately, I had to cancel, but they could not reschedule me until January because the doctor was on leave. Note that this location has more than one doctor, but I do not know why they did not check another physician's schedule since I was a new patient and had not seen anyone there. The person scheduling my next appointment set it for January 1. During the call, I asked whether they were open that day, and she confirmed they were. I also called in October to confirm and received a callback saying it was January 1. I thought it was strange that they were open on New Year's Day, but I had two verbal confirmations, and their staff had scheduled it. I arrived on January 1, and the office was closed. I left a voicemail that day but planned to visit on the 2nd because I knew they would not call back for days. At the office, they struggled to find my appointment and finally apologized, saying they did not know why I had been scheduled on a day they were closed. They rescheduled me for February 17. I again confirmed they were open because the 17th was a holiday, and they said yes. I received a text asking me to confirm and replied “yes” on Monday, February 10. The next day they called and canceled my appointment. Of course, no one answered when I called back, so I went in person. I wanted to know why it was canceled and needed another February appointment because I had already rearranged my schedule. Although the waiting area was empty, it took 15 minutes to get an answer. She said they had overbooked new patients that day and needed to cancel mine. The doctor could only see a certain number of new patients each day, and they could not see me until March 31. I asked how she could ensure they would not cancel again because of overbooking. I was devastated. I had been waiting since September after my doctor referred me in summer 2024. It has been a terrible experience, and they are the only clinic in Augusta. With no competition, they feel no urgency to help patients. Other reviews suggest this clinic frequently cancels appointments, and they show no compassion for patients. Augusta truly needs another patient-centered reproductive clinic.

Worst clinic ever! They never answer the phone. They are always late for appointments. I do not recommend them.

I am deeply saddened and shocked by my experience with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates. For my first new-patient appointment, the doctor canceled at the last minute after I had waited three months. I was then told to wait another three months to reschedule. I waited another month for a second appointment, but they again canceled without notice. For the third appointment, I waited another month. When I arrived, they canceled because the doctor was on vacation. It seems this doctor simply does not want to see me. I began to feel personally targeted and that he did not care about my well-being. I need management to contact me. When I asked to speak with his supervisor, they told me not to because he is the supervisor. This is extremely rude and unprofessional. Now they want me to wait until January, putting my health on hold because the doctor is on vacation. I need someone to take this seriously. My health is at risk, and I want to get better. This has caused tremendous stress and anxiety. I do not recommend this clinic. Please seek care elsewhere.

I am giving one extra star because when I saw the doctors, they were very informative and helpful. However, after calling several times, no one ever actually answered. I either had to leave a message or became so tired of leaving messages that I drove to the facility for answers. Recently, my wife and I each had appointments, and both were canceled. My wife was told a few days beforehand that her appointment had to be canceled, with no further explanation. When she tried to reschedule, the next appointment was three months away. Today, I had an appointment that had been scheduled months ago. There was not even anyone at the clinic. I received no phone or email notice that it was canceled. When I arrived, the door was locked. It is frustrating, to say the least, that my records cannot be transferred from the old patient portal to MyChart. I cannot even message some of my doctors because I have not yet had an appointment with them in the new system. I do not know where the disconnect is, but this is infuriating. Waiting months for answers only to be delayed another quarter makes no sense to me, especially without an explanation. I understand that things happen and doctors and other employees have lives, but saying only ‘we must cancel your appointment’ without a reason seems lacking in transparency. I do not expect private details, but something simple like ‘Dr. So-and-so has a family emergency’ or ‘We apologize; we are understaffed’ would be enough. Worse still is failing to notify patients that an appointment was canceled. That is unprofessional. At least call and leave a message.

Dr. Jordan has a magic touch! After two failed IUIs with another doctor, my wife and I decided to try home insemination for a while. When that did not work, we returned to IUI. Dr. Brakta explained everything throughout the process and conducted more testing than the other doctors. When the time for insemination approached, Dr. Jordan and a nurse came into the office on a Sunday and let my wife push the plunger :). Thanks to AU, our family finally grew in 2024!

I wish WellStar would get this clinic under control. I had the worst experience here. Students often seem to run the show. The waiting area is small, and the entire facility was outdated the last time I visited. Other providers have told me their patients had terrible experiences and that they would recommend any clinic other than this one. Personally, I would rather drive two or three hours than return here.
    May 25, 2024
Do not waste your time or money here. They do not care whether you become pregnant. There is no communication. You see a new student at every visit. No one seems to know what is happening. The front desk does not respond. I wasted two years, two IUIs, and a great deal of money and got nothing!

It is impossible to speak with anyone by phone. I have called at different times of day for more than a week and left 4 voicemails, but no one has responded.

What a wonderful office and staff. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable. Our experience at that office was incredible.
