Dr. Murphy and Sierra have been incredibly wonderful to work with! I had to make an unexpected change in my healthcare provider, and I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Murphy. During my first appointment, she acknowledged my situation, apologized for the stress the switch has caused, and expressed her excitement for me to start my IVF journey. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking professionals who genuinely care about their patients. They made sure that all my questions and concerns were addressed. They celebrated my successes with me and provided comfort during my worries. We were blessed with 10 embryos, and I’m thrilled to announce that I’m officially due with our first child this December! Please do yourself a huge favor and work with these wonderful people you won’t regret it!!❤️

Dr. Cohen is incredibly knowledgeable, truly cares about his patients, and has a wonderful way of putting you at ease. He really listens to your concerns and was even willing to explore different avenues based on my own research, which I deeply appreciated. The practice as a whole has strong communication and transparent billing. Plus, my patient navigator, Makyla, was amazing—she always called me the same day post-test results to clearly explain the next steps and handle scheduling. I highly recommend them!

Pinnacle is an excellent clinic and medical practice. Dr. Iko and her entire team gave us tremendous support on our first fertility journey. We became pregnant after only one course of treatment and are thrilled! All staff were friendly, helpful, and communicative. Their online platform made it extremely easy to track appointments, medications, laboratory results, and more. I highly recommend this clinic!

The doctors, most nurses, and ultrasound technicians were professional and efficient, and the clinic environment was pleasant. However, communication with the coordinator was disappointing. Given the high cost of this testing, I expected more attentive service. Had I known beforehand, I would have chosen another clinic.

My experience at IHR was wonderful. I was diagnosed with a uterine septum, which was frightening at first! Dr. Cohen reassured me and offered several treatment options. We ultimately decided to try intrauterine insemination (IUI) first. The first attempt failed because of a low sperm count, and the second also failed, so we took a month off. The third worked, and I am now lying beside my beautiful daughter! I learned so much and was fortunate to be guided by so many kind, thoughtful, and friendly doctors, nurses, and staff.

They destroyed our life by failing to give us an embryo disposition form.

The front desk staff are always welcoming. The clinical team is very attentive and explains this complex process thoroughly. We are grateful that they have been beside us throughout the journey!

We really like our clinical team and Dr. Wood-Molo, but the billing staff are unresponsive, disorganized, and ineffective. Because medical costs are such an important part of the process, this unfortunately had a major negative impact on our experience with IHR/Pinnacle.

The facility is clean. They respond quickly through the portal and have been very supportive. My assigned counselor promptly returns texts and calls. They made me feel reassured and well prepared during this emotional journey.

We are deeply grateful to Pinnacle, Dr. Iko, Makyla, and the entire staff for their attentive care, compassion, and responsiveness throughout treatment. We previously had a poor experience at another obstetrics and gynecology practice. Dr. Iko and her Pinnacle team completely changed our situation. They diagnosed and corrected the underlying cause of our fertility problems and carefully guided us through another procedure and multiple follow-up visits. Makyla always returned our calls and messages promptly. We are so glad we found them and feel extremely fortunate that our city has such an outstanding medical practice.

Dr. Iko is an excellent physician: knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and calm. Finding a doctor like her is rare. She goes above and beyond to ensure every patient feels heard and knows she will support them at every step. IVF involves intense emotions, stress, uncertainty, and many ups and downs, but Dr. Iko reassured us, affirmed that our journey mattered equally as an LGBTQ+ couple, and patiently answered all our questions. We are profoundly grateful that she helped us reach this point.

Pros: Friendly staff and a pleasant environment. Cons: If you already know that you cannot conceive naturally and IVF is your only option, this clinic may suit you. But if you want to understand whether anything is preventing natural conception, why it is happening, and how it might be treated, this is not the place. The consultation with Dr. Tour-Kaspa, about $400 for half an hour, consisted only of an IVF sales pitch and information easily found through Google. There was no detailed discussion of your individual health, physical condition, or reasons for difficulty conceiving beyond saying you are too old to become pregnant naturally. IVF is clearly their source of revenue, and they are unlikely to try other ways to help you.

I have been treated by Dr. Wood-Molo since she worked at Rush University Medical Center. I would trust no one else with our embryos—and our finances, minds, and hearts. I am writing today, while preparing for our next embryo transfer at my daughter's 18-month checkup, with immense gratitude for this team and its role in our lives. Dr. Wood-Molo, along with the talented and ageless Rene, is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also compassionate, steady, and thoughtful. Every treatment plan is personalized and carefully considered. Even when the waiting room is full, you never feel like a number. You feel seen, remembered, and cared for. Special thanks to Ines Didovic, DNP, FNP, whose warmth and professionalism are deeply reassuring. She is calm, comforting, and genuinely invested in your care. We also appreciate our trusted ultrasound technician, Amy; seeing her at each appointment is a joy. Even an eight-minute blood draw and ultrasound can brighten my day because of the kindness these women show every patient. The doctors are excellent, but you will often see and speak with other talented, essential team members, and that is completely normal and welcome. We screamed with joy when Ines told us our embryo's sex and again when Amy showed us our daughter's first heartbeat. These women are exceptional both professionally and personally. From the front desk through every stage of care, everyone offers a warm smile. The clinic's atmosphere and convenient phone, text, and portal communication feel supportive and hopeful—something difficult to appreciate unless you have experienced it. To Dr. Wood-Molo, Rene, Ines, Amy, and the entire team: thank you. You make all the difference. You are queens. We will always be grateful. 💛

I had an excellent consultation with Dr. Cohen at Pinnacle. He explained every treatment option in detail and was very practical. The Pinnacle staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I received fertility treatment at IHR beginning in summer 2024 and ultimately delivered a healthy, beautiful baby. We completed both an intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycle and an in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle. We were fortunate to have Dr. Wood Molo lead our care. She is highly skilled and kind. During the hardest period, she reassured us and created a treatment plan that suited us very well. Regular communication with nurse Ines Didovic made our experience even better. We often met with Ines to review cycles and discuss treatment plans and next steps. She genuinely cared about our journey and felt like a partner through every high and low. She was both honest and kind. Ines was one of the main reasons we stayed with IHR because we felt truly cared for. Our only concern at IHR was the initial billing for the IVF cycle. After we spoke with a manager, everything became much smoother and the charges were explained more clearly. Overall, I recommend IHR/Pinnacle Fertility to anyone needing fertility treatment. If I pursue another pregnancy, I plan to return to Dr. Wood Molo and Ines.

    Great staff.

I highly recommend this clinic!! I was a patient for about a year, and everyone treated me like family. Dr. Hammer is excellent. She performed my surgery gently and skillfully. Honestly, I am sad to leave my fertility family and transition to a regular OB-GYN. 🥲 My husband and I will always remember the attentive care we received. ♥️
    Jan 23, 2026
I am grateful to everyone at the clinic for their endless support during this emotional time. I primarily saw Dr. Iko and Dr. Levrant, who were both highly professional and reassuring. My initial patient coordinator, Julia, was outstanding and helped tremendously with questions, appointments, medication refills, and more. I always felt supported and fully informed as a patient here.

IHR is amazing! I have been seeing Dr. Mary Wood-Molo here and am very satisfied. Everyone, from the nurses and front desk to the lab, is welcoming and helpful. Dr. Wood-Molo is the best doctor I have met. She is warm, funny, knowledgeable, genuinely caring, listens carefully, and respects your choices. Fertility treatment is long and difficult, but she makes it easier. She believes in listening to your heart and puts women's needs first. If you need a doctor and clinic, IHR is the best choice.

The staff at this fertility clinic are very kind and compassionate. They always answered my questions patiently and thoroughly, which put me at ease. They are easy to reach, highly responsible, and conveniently located, making visits simple and stress-free.

I love Marcela! Blood draws are usually difficult for me, but she makes them painless every time.
    Dec 11, 2025
Amazing! Before starting, I was very afraid, especially of injections, and expected the process to be difficult. Instead, I enjoyed every moment. My husband gave all the injections, and they were not frightening. I had no side effects, even from the hormones. I felt energetic and empowered. Dr. Tur-Kaspa was my physician and guided me step by step. At every consultation, he answered our questions patiently, clearly, and with humor. He helped us achieve the outcome we wanted, and I always felt supported and cared for. The clinic staff were also excellent—kind, professional, and welcoming. They know how to make you comfortable from the moment you enter. After egg retrieval, performed by the wonderful Dr. Cohen, I was excited and ready for another cycle, but we did not need one! I cannot wait to proceed with embryo transfer with Dr. Tur-Kaspa. I highly recommend Pinnacle Fertility. Had I known the experience would be so positive, I would never have worried!

I am incredibly happy and sincerely thank God for guiding me to this clinic and its outstanding medical team. My heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful nurses and staff for their care and continued support throughout treatment. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Carissa Hammer, Dr. Cohen, and Dr. Tur-Kaspa, true experts in their fields. They cared for me from the beginning and helped me achieve my longtime dream step by step. One month ago, I became a mother 🤍 My IVF procedure, performed by Dr. Cohen, succeeded on the first attempt, and I will always be grateful. My dream came true because of your dedication, compassion, and skill. Several friends are now being treated by this team, and I sincerely recommend them to anyone considering IVF.

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Tour-Kaspa and his team at the Institute for Human Reproduction. Dr. Tour-Kaspa was very attentive and ensured I was fully informed at every stage of egg freezing. The nursing staff was equally excellent, reliable, and responsive. I genuinely felt valued and cared for. Such professional and compassionate service is rare in health care. I sincerely appreciate their support and expert guidance and would recommend Dr. Tour-Kaspa and his team without hesitation to anyone considering fertility preservation or treatment.

I cannot say enough good things about the Pinnacle Fertility Illinois - Chicago team. From the front desk to the phlebotomists, ultrasound technicians, nurses, and doctors, everyone was warm, professional, and dedicated. Every visit brought friendly smiles, and I even became friends with the front desk staff. The experience felt like a boutique clinic. I especially appreciated having a dedicated case navigator. Both of my nurses were wonderful. I loved being able to text questions or concerns at any time and always receiving a prompt response. None of this would have been possible without my talented, considerate, and kind reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Ijeoma Iko. From consultation through treatment, I knew I had chosen the right person. She patiently answered countless questions and treated me as a person, not merely a patient. I sincerely appreciate her hard work and dedication. IVF is difficult and physically and emotionally exhausting. The many appointments, calls, insurance approvals, tests, medications, procedures, and needles can become overwhelming. The entire Pinnacle/IHR care team supported me so I never felt alone. It was all worth it, and I finally achieved my lifelong dream.

IVF can be frightening and physically and emotionally exhausting. It can overwhelm an individual or couple and sometimes feel as if it consumes your life. For people like me, however, it is something you must do, and in the end it is worthwhile. That is why having Dr. Cohen and Pinnacle's excellent nurses and ultrasound technicians is so important. I have been a Pinnacle patient for several years and experienced many ups and downs. Dr. Cohen and his team supported me throughout, remained flexible, and prioritized my health. During egg retrievals, I also met Dr. Iko and Dr. Woods-Morrow, who both made me feel comfortable and relaxed. If you want a supportive, direct, compassionate, patient-centered environment, this is the right choice. They truly are among the best. Thank you to the entire team; my husband and I are very grateful.

***This was originally a one-star review, but I have an update*** A few hours after I posted my review, Kristina contacted me and apologized for the entire incident. She said it should not have happened and that I had been given incorrect information. She said she would contact my insurer to see whether some of my money could be recovered and would call me with an update on Monday, 10/6. Today, 10/6, she called again, apologized once more, and said they had submitted a claim to my insurer and would refund most of my payment. I appreciate that she contacted me so quickly after my review and resolved the issue. Although I have completed this FET cycle, I would consider returning to this clinic because they apologized and corrected the problem. Original review: While moving from UT to IL and preparing to begin an FET cycle, I contacted this clinic about pricing for outside monitoring so I would not need to travel back to UT multiple times over several weeks for ultrasounds and bloodwork. They quoted $1450 for an HSN test, 1 blood test, and 1 ultrasound. When I explained that I needed multiple blood draws and at least 3 ultrasounds in addition to the HSN, they said $3500 would cover the HSN and all required bloodwork and ultrasounds. This was reasonable and only slightly more than having all testing done at my clinic. I agreed and scheduled. They were disorganized and said they had not received my doctor's orders, so I had to email everything to them. After completing the HSN, baseline bloodwork, and baseline ultrasound, I went to schedule an endometrial check and bloodwork, and they tried to charge another $1000. I said I had already paid $3500 and had been told everything was included. They said the $3500 covered only the HSN, 1 blood test, and 1 ultrasound. I asked what the $1450 quote covered, and they said the $1450 was for the HSN alone. This was outrageous because every other clinic I called charged about $500 for the HSN alone and billed insurance. I repeatedly asked to contact billing, but they never provided contact information. The phone number I found went to voicemail; I left a message and never received a call back. I had to request an itemized receipt several times, and it listed services I never received. I asked whether they would bill my insurer for the HSN, and they refused. I then asked whether, if my FET worked and I needed pregnancy ultrasounds, they would bill insurance for those, and they again said no because they refuse to bill insurance for outside-monitoring patients. Use this clinic with caution. They seem to conceal charges until mid-cycle, when your only options are to cancel the cycle or pay. Their staff is poorly trained and inconsistent; everyone provides different and even contradictory information. I will also file a claim with the BBB. And before telling everyone to email you—you said people who leave negative reviews should email you, and I already did, with no response. I certainly know where not to transfer my embryo.

My wife and I are delighted to share that we are expecting our first baby. None of this would have been possible without the exceptional care and support of Dr. Cohen and his team. From our first consultation, Dr. Cohen was compassionate, knowledgeable, and fully committed to helping us realize our dream of parenthood. He patiently explained every step of the process, answered all our questions, and gave us confidence when we needed it most. We also extend our deepest thanks to the entire clinic staff, from the nurses and coordinators to the front desk. Everyone was warm, professional, and genuinely caring throughout. Thanks to Dr. Cohen and his team, our dream is about to become a reality, and we will always be grateful for their role in this life-changing journey.

If I could, I would give zero stars. Before my egg retrieval, they forced me to pay a $6300 deposit after we had already used the $15000 prescription portion of our insurance for injections. Both parties knew that my medical insurance would cover the retrieval and genetic testing and that the deposit would be refunded after the claims were processed. But they will not refund it. They processed the claims and still tried to keep my deposit, which is effectively illegal balance or surprise billing! This company is an in-network provider with my insurer, but they did not like that the previously agreed in-network genetic testing provider offered no discount. Therefore, they did not want to refund my deposit. I strongly warn anyone going here not to pay any kind of deposit. You may spend months or years trying to recover it. They will make every excuse, from ‘this is an additional experimental treatment’—despite the billing code matching the insurance claim—to ‘this is a different treatment that insurance does not cover,’ deciding what my policy covers instead of submitting the claim. They made it extremely difficult to speak with anyone by phone, and there is no one you can visit in person. I could only leave voicemail and hope for a response. The entire finance team is based at headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. They repeatedly ignored my wife and me, and the only way to reach anyone was through headquarters' billing number. That number appears only on bills and cannot be found online or in the portal. I will report this company to the Illinois Department of Insurance, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Illinois Attorney General. I feel the public should be warned about its financial practices. This has put our IVF journey on hold, which is terrible because the clinical staff, especially in Oak Brook, were very warm and friendly. However, communication is poor, and everything must be handled through text messages and online visits. Go elsewhere, and do not give them your money.

Dr. Cohen, you have no idea how much we love you and how grateful we are for everything you did to help us have a healthy heartbeat. I had struggled with infertility since 2019 and joined Dr. Cohen's clinic in 2021. My treatment journey was anything but smooth: cycle after cycle, miscarriage after miscarriage, and bleeding episode after bleeding episode. Eventually, Dr. Cohen determined that a permanent transabdominal cerclage could help me move beyond these painful miscarriages and carry to term. He introduced me to Dr. Douglas and fought with the insurance company to approve the surgery. He ultimately succeeded. Dr. Cohen will always advocate and win for you. The clinic made treatment easy for us. The women at the Oak Brook clinic are amazing. They made my journey so much easier and were warm and friendly at every visit. Dr. Cohen, we sincerely thank you for everything you have done and for always being there for your patients. We love you. P.S. Please start delivering babies, because graduating from your clinic is heartbreaking. 💕

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Cohen and the entire Oak Brook team. My case was very complex—low AMH, thyroid issues, and a genetic condition requiring PGT-M. From day one, Dr. Cohen treated us with the highest level of professionalism, compassion, and coordination while remaining very practical. Dr. Cohen removed my polyp smoothly and without complications. He later performed our second embryo transfer—the one that ultimately gave us our child—and I firmly believe his extensive knowledge and attention to detail were critical. He is a miracle worker with tremendous expertise who always made us feel supported, confident, and cared for. I also had two egg retrievals with Dr. Hammer, and each was quick, painless, and stress-free. I felt safe and well informed throughout. The entire Oak Brook staff is exceptional. • The person drawing my blood always made me smile—I never had a bad experience. • The ultrasound technicians were patient and kind, and my appointments always started on time without delays. • Coordination and communication across the entire team were seamless. On our second transfer, thanks to the team's guidance, approach, and care, we finally welcomed our baby. They turned one of the most difficult situations into a success story, and I will always be grateful.

My baby is now 6 weeks old! The entire IVF process with Dr. Tur-Kaspa was wonderful. Keep in mind, however, that you rarely see the doctor in person during the process. You meet the doctor at the beginning and then during procedures. IHR has an excellent portal that keeps you well connected with your care team, and they respond very quickly. They also have an on-call registered nurse you can contact if an urgent issue arises with injections or medication. We had multiple laboratory tests and ultrasounds scheduled throughout the process, which was reassuring. Most office visits were quick, making it convenient when you need to be seen. I highly recommend this clinic for IVF!

At IHR/Pinnacle I found the medical care that has made the difference in this process. Although IVF is not an easy stroll in the park, I knew I was in the right hands. Dr. David Cohen has given my babies and I cannot be more grateful. My transfers were easier once I saw the confidence in his practice and it makes this process 10 times less stressful. I have been a patient for over 3+years now from egg retrieval to IVF transfers and yes it is a process but the rewards are well worth it. Also on top of it all the nurses and general staff are very welcoming.

Ladies, if you are considering freezing your eggs, let me make the decision easy: schedule a consultation with Dr. Ilan Tur-Kaspa and his excellent IHR Fertility team. They recently joined forces with the renowned Pinnacle Fertility and now practice at the beautiful Pinnacle Fertility center in Chicago. There is never a perfect time to begin, so stop waiting and take action :) Like many of you, fertility matters to me more than I could have imagined. After receiving treatment from Dr. Tur-Kaspa over the past 3-4 weeks, I can confidently say there is no doctor or team I would rather recommend to friends, sisters, or anyone I care about. At 29, I decided to freeze my eggs. After months of hesitation, I flew from Los Angeles to Chicago specifically to see Dr. Tur-Kaspa. That is how strongly I trust his expertise and care. Dr. Tur-Kaspa is not only highly knowledgeable and respected in his field; he also shows genuine care throughout treatment and fully understands how personal the process is. We have all met doctors who make you feel they are rushing to the next patient, but Dr. Tur-Kaspa and his team never do. Their patience, daily check-ins, and hands-on support throughout treatment exceeded my expectations. I also want to highlight the staff, who are the heart of this clinic. His nursing assistant Sarah was my lifeline throughout treatment. She answered every question—and I had many—with patience, kindness, and warmth. The nursing staff were equally exceptional: compassionate, professional, and deeply attentive to you and your circumstances. At every visit, I felt cared for not only as a patient but as a person. They made what could have been a stressful and emotional experience feel safe, supportive, and empowering. For anyone who wants more details about my experience from the initial consultation onward, please continue reading :) From the first call, I knew I had found the right doctor. Dr. Tur-Kaspa is not only a gifted fertility doctor but also one of the kindest, most thoughtful medical professionals I have met. He guided me through every step, answered our hundreds of questions, and made a potentially overwhelming process feel empowering and very human. I then officially scheduled my egg-freezing journey. The entire process was seamless from beginning to end, and I prepared for the week ahead. Starting with my first monitoring appointment, the team contacted me daily with clear instructions, helpful support videos, and regular check-ins to ensure that I was fully prepared and confident throughout. Everything went smoothly, with Dr. Tur-Kaspa leading the way and Sarah and the nurses beside me with support and honesty. If you have been hesitating because you do not know where to go or whom to trust, I recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Tur-Kaspa and his excellent team without delay. He is the doctor you have been looking for, and his team will make you feel like family. I am deeply grateful that I entrusted this chapter of my life to them and highly recommend the experience. To Dr. Tur-Kaspa, Sarah, and all the wonderful nurses: thank you for making the past few weeks unforgettable. We need more doctors and staff like you, and I am very grateful for your guidance :)

I loved working with Dr. Hanmer, the laboratory technicians Pragati and Sara, and the other staff. The team was highly proactive in ensuring a relaxed, stress-free experience. It was a pleasure working with them!

The IVF journey can be overwhelming, but the care and expertise of Dr. Mary Wood-Molo and the entire IHR staff gave us the strength to get through it! My husband and I would never have realized our dream of growing our family. Thanks to them, our first daughter, Rachel, was born in November 2024! I will always be grateful to all of them for helping me become a mother, the greatest blessing. I will continue to recommend them! ❤️

IHR helped me tremendously while I was trying to grow my family. My husband and I met Dr. Tur-kaspa and discussed the basics. One key point he raised, which I believe was crucial to my successful pregnancy, was weight loss. I know some people may be surprised by this, but I felt his reasoning about weight gain made sense. He even said I might become pregnant through weight loss and medication without needing IVF! This was eye-opening and showed that they were not just trying to make money but genuinely wanted to help us achieve our dream of expanding our family. I followed his advice and began a low-carbohydrate diet. My BMI was 42, and after losing 25 pounds and taking the prescribed medication, I became pregnant! I cannot describe how far I have come. I genuinely feel the IHR team tailors treatment to your body’s needs. I chose IHR because it was covered by my insurance. I visited several IHR locations, and every one provided excellent service, reception, and care. I always had many questions, but they were happy to answer and responded promptly. I highly recommend IHR!

Avoid this clinic at all costs. I am currently suing the Institute for Human Reproduction (IHR) for serious medical malpractice. Because of their reckless and unprofessional practices, I lost three healthy, PGT-tested embryos—a devastating and irreversible loss. Their conduct goes beyond a mistake and reflects a dangerous pattern of incompetence and lack of accountability. If you value your future family, do not entrust it to IHR.

This is by far the worst place to start a family. There is no communication, transparency, or overall care. The providers are absent. Throughout the entire process, I met my doctor once in person and twice by video call; one call happened only because I insisted on speaking with them for answers and an explanation since no one had told me anything. Ignore the quote they give you, because it does not disclose everything, and they will not tell you all the costs beforehand. By the time you learn you must pay thousands more to continue treatment, you are already dependent on them despite having paid out of pocket and through insurance. I learned by text message that my IVF transfer had failed. They did not even have the courtesy to call. There was no compassion, explanation, reason, or discussion of why it failed or what happened. A nurse contacted me only after I became furious. This process is already difficult. Go somewhere you will be heard and where someone truly cares about you.

Amazing! Dr. Tur-Kaspa, Dr. Mary Wood-Molo, and the entire team made my egg-freezing journey smooth and stress-free. As someone afraid of needles, I was very anxious, but the doctors' compassionate approach and clear explanations made me feel confident throughout. The clinic provided personalized care and patiently answered all my questions about fertility, career planning, and future family goals. They are not only skilled medical professionals but true partners in your fertility journey. Their technology, expertise, and genuine human connection distinguish this clinic. I will definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone considering egg freezing or IVF!

We had a wonderful experience at IHR. The entire team was compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout. They made a stressful treatment process feel easy and gave us hope when we needed it most. We are very grateful for Dr. Tur-Kaspa's attentive care and expertise!

We had an excellent experience with Dr. Cohen and the entire IHR staff. Every team member was wonderful! The office was highly responsive and made the process as simple as possible under the circumstances. Thank you, IHR!

    They did not copy me.

Our infertility journey was long and difficult, but IHR gave us amazing support throughout the process. I began my journey with IHR in July 2023. My consultation with Dr. Cohen went very well, and I appreciated his easygoing sense of humor and positive attitude. He was always honest with me and focused on explaining circumstances, risks, and the reasoning behind his recommendations. After I began diagnostic testing in October 2023, I gradually got to know the staff members who became familiar faces—shout-out to Sarah, Amy, Myrielle, Ines, and all the front desk staff. I had 3 unsuccessful IUIs, but I always felt supported throughout the process. The portal was easy to understand, and communication was prompt. The calendar was clear, and I felt I could contact them at any time of day. We chose to take a 3-month break, and IHR fully supported me and helped me determine how to relax and prepare my body for IVF during those months. Once we began IVF, I chose to do injection training with a nurse in person, which was such a relief. I was able to practice with the nurse and see what all the medications would look like before they arrived. My ER and FET both went smoothly, and I became pregnant! I am sad to graduate from IHR but extremely grateful for everything they did to help me and my family!

Dr. Cohen himself is excellent and honest. However, communication among the departments at IHR is absolutely terrible. I found myself having to relay information between the clinical staff, laboratory, and billing department because they did not communicate with one another. We would randomly receive estimates or bills in the portal without explanation, followed by calls from billing demanding payment for services that had never been provided. It was very disappointing that they could call to collect payment but would not call to explain anything else uploaded to the portal. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple 30-minute calls to schedule appointments—only to discover that the appointments were never actually scheduled, sometimes while on the way there—I do not know whether I can trust them to handle extremely important and sensitive matters properly. Very disappointing. Something needs to be done to fix how this facility is operated and structured; it is highly impersonal and unprofessional.

I cannot say enough positive things about the staff at IHR. They are incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive. Not to mention, they are excellent at what they do! I am so grateful for them.

We write with immense gratitude and appreciation in support of Dr. David Cohen. Our journey with Dr. Cohen has been truly special. Thanks to his expertise, one round of IVF gave us our beautiful miracle boy, Landon. His carefully tailored protocol made our first transfer successful, and we are now 24 weeks pregnant with our second IVF miracle. As patients without IVF insurance coverage, choosing the right doctor was crucial. We wanted the best, and Dr. Cohen exceeded every expectation. His knowledge, compassion, and dedication made this stressful process manageable, and his entire team provided unwavering support at every step. The only issue we encountered at IHR was with the billing department, which is extremely frustrating when paying the full amount in cash. That said, we will always be grateful for Dr. Cohen's role in making our dream of growing our family a reality. We wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly skilled fertility specialist.

Dr. TUR-KASPA is amazing!!!! He truly made our dream come true! After 2 egg retrievals and 3 failed transfers at our previous clinic, we transferred to his clinic in September 2024 and became pregnant with Dr. Tur-Kaspa after only one transfer in January 2025! After four years of trying, he made our dream of building a family come true!!!! I recommend IHR 10000%. Most of my ultrasounds and bloodwork were completed in Tinley Park, and Hannah was wonderful with the ultrasounds! Everyone there was! I cannot express how happy my husband and I are with their services! Dr. Tur-Kaspa and his team take the time to complete every necessary test before transfer. Thank you, thank you for helping us build our family! We cannot wait to meet our little baby this September, all thanks to you! If you are looking for a fertility clinic, look no further—trust me! IHR is the way to go!

The worst healthcare experience in my 37 years on this planet. This is not about the clinical staff, who were good, but the billing office. IHR's website states, ‘Before you begin treatment at IHR, our Patient Financial Counselors (PFCs) will make every effort to obtain information about your current insurance so they can verify your benefits,’ and ‘Before your meeting with the doctor or within 24-48 hours afterward, you will receive a call from one of our PFCs. During this call, your assigned PFC will help you understand which treatment options are included in your current insurance plan.’ Neither happened for me, with disastrous consequences. Starting a few days after I first saw the doctor, I sent their billing office multiple emails over 13 months (!!!). I believed I had no coverage, so I used phrases such as ‘even though I am a self-pay patient’ and subject lines such as ‘request for clarification regarding insurance and benefits.’ Did the excellent people at IHR step in and quickly correct my misunderstanding? No, they did not. It took 13 months to resolve. During that time, I completed two egg-freezing cycles and—cue screaming—paid cash prices for medications. If you have undergone fertility treatment, you know that this means paying for medication versions that insurance does not or cannot reimburse, leaving you broke. Because IHR did not clarify my coverage, when I was referred to a specialty pharmacy for a prior-authorization check, I told them I thought I lacked medication coverage. Did the specialty pharmacy save the day? Of course not. They also gave me incorrect information despite processing my insurance. Then the final villain in this story, the specialty fertility pharmacy, compounded the damage. I do not have enough space to include everything, but the bottom line is: be very, very careful with this clinic. If you truly are a cash-pay patient, this might be a safe place, but first make sure you know that applies to you. You certainly cannot trust these people to determine it for you. My spouse works for a very small company, so the standard response, ‘Your employer's HR department is responsible for telling you what your insurance covers,’ does not really apply—what HR department? Yes, I tried to get information from BCBSIL. It was like driving into a wall at full speed. Every part of this story could have been avoided if the clinic had honored the simple promises on its website—or even answered my emails to billing. I am writing this not as a first resort but as a last resort. I raised my concerns with the clinic's executive director, but after more than a month of emails back and forth, she simply did not care about anything. She would not even commit to changing how Patient Financial Counselors verify benefits and communicate that information to patients—or acknowledge that I repeatedly requested this in writing. It felt like gaslighting. The clinic was disorganized in other ways too (once it sent me another patient's estimate, including her full name, personal information, and treatment plan—yikes), but nothing was worse than losing thousands of dollars. I began to realize that I was so upset because emotionally it felt much like being robbed. I also reached my out-of-pocket maximum that year, so even copays could have covered the medication costs. It truly hurt. For what it is worth, I think Dr. Cohen is a good doctor. I liked him very much. It is unfortunate that everything else took over the entire review.

I have no issue with the professionalism of the staff or people on site. My issue is with the business as a whole. You will spend tens of thousands of dollars on these treatments. Most of the time, you receive absolutely nothing except being hurried out the door and told, “The treatment did not work; please sign up for another cycle.” Insurance covers 0% of the cost. It is in the provider's best interest for your treatment to “fail” so you enroll for another attempt. I have never seen so much money disappear for no return as I did at this place. We went here, and things became worse.

I am very grateful to Dr. Tur-Kaspa and his team for everything they did for me. I began my IVF journey with them in December 2023. After two egg retrievals and one embryo transfer in April 2024, I am happy to say that this December I welcomed my beautiful son into the world. Dr. Tur-Kaspa provided incredible expertise and support throughout the process. I will always be grateful!

Dr. Wood Molo and Dr. Ij Iko are very professional and welcoming and make you feel genuinely cared for. I appreciate this team and its expertise and highly recommend them to anyone seeking specialists in this field.

A fertility clinic should provide support, not just tests—disappointed with IHR Chicago Fertility treatment is an emotional and deeply personal journey, but IHR in Streeterville made it feel like an assembly line rather than a place offering care and support. My husband and I were new to the process and eager to understand our fertility, but instead we encountered indifference, poor communication, and a complete lack of education about what to expect. From the beginning, we were told to complete a series of tests—blood work, semen analysis, and an ultrasound to assess my follicles—without any conversation with a doctor. Instead, we were passed among several coordinators, two of whom could not even answer basic questions about why we needed these tests or what the process involved. We could not meet with a doctor until all testing was complete, yet no one in the office took time to explain what the tests meant, how they would inform treatment, or what our next steps might be. When we finally consulted Dr. Hammer, she was kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate—a bright point in the experience. However, even she seemed pressed for time and rushed through our conversation as though she had to move to the next appointment. She recommended additional tests, which we agreed to in hopes of gaining clarity. Unfortunately, the clinic showed a clear lack of professionalism. During my second ultrasound, the technician played hip-hop music in the examination room while performing the procedure—an extremely inappropriate and unsettling experience while I was in such a vulnerable position. After the second round of testing, I received a brief portal message saying Dr. Hammer wanted me to repeat testing in one month, with no mention of my actual results or next steps. I had to seek information myself, calling repeatedly and leaving voicemails to schedule follow-up with Dr. Hammer. Despite calling twice during business hours, I never received a callback. Worse, a close friend also had a terrible experience at IHR Chicago. The clinic mishandled her blood sample and forced her to return for another test—an incredibly frustrating mistake in an already physically and emotionally exhausting process. Fertility care should involve more than performing tests and moving patients through a system. Patients spend 90% of their time interacting with a fertility clinic's support staff, but the staff at IHR Chicago were indifferent, uninformed, and lacking in compassion. Their actions clearly show greater concern for meeting quotas than actually helping families grow. If you are looking for a supportive, communicative, patient-centered fertility clinic, IHR Chicago is not for you. I hope they recognize the emotional weight of this process and improve their approach, but at present I cannot recommend them.
