I am very disappointed with this consultation. I expected a doctor working in such a sensitive field to have better bedside manner. I will return to share more information later, but I do not yet have enough information to give a complete account of what happened. I simply felt I should speak up as soon as possible, since communication may be inadequate during the first interaction with the doctor. I will update this review once I have the final outcome.

My experience at Shady Grove was amazing! Whether online or over the phone, the staff were welcoming, helpful, and responsive. They were also much more efficient than CCRM. I began treatment at SGF in the year 2026, during 3. Dr. Amy Harris was my primary doctor, and Dr. Alex Polotsky performed my frozen embryo transfer. They were both outstanding! I am delighted to announce that after a successful embryo transfer, I have officially “graduated” from this fertility clinic. I am truly grateful to them.

Our experience at SGF has been nothing but a headache so far. I enjoy working with Dr. Murray and appreciate her insight, but everything else has been a poor experience. Communication about finances and insurance is terrible. I have received several different answers about billing and insurance. We had to pay for our initial consultation ourselves because we were not told until the day before the appointment that we needed a referral. I was told they would submit the bill to insurance and reimburse me the difference. I asked several people multiple times whether it had been resubmitted to insurance and was repeatedly assured that it had. Several months later, I learned that it had only just been billed to insurance and would take another 30 to 45 days to process. Everything has felt very discouraging and heavily in the clinic’s favor while we are in a vulnerable position and continually being asked to pay when we were told the procedures and appointments were covered by insurance.

If you need any lab testing done here, I recommend going elsewhere. I went through an enormous amount of trouble to add a test I had requested. Then they charged me an additional $325. Fine, that was the price. They firmly assured me the test would be completed and that they would "prepare the lab." More than a week later, I discovered that they had never done it. They told my referring doctor to call to request a refund and reschedule my test. I called, and they agreed to reschedule it but refused to issue a refund. What a waste of time! The pleasant woman at the front desk tried to help me get a refund. She explained that if I did not pay, they would first have to cover the cost of sending it to the lab, so they could not refund me. Um...yes, that is exactly what happens when you make a mistake. Thank you for explaining it so plainly. Again, do not have any lab testing done here. I had to provide the referral they specifically requested from another doctor and make several calls just to schedule the test. They also gave me paperwork and a receipt confirming that the test would be performed. Despite so many documented steps, they still missed it, and they might never have noticed if I had not investigated further. I have canceled the test, and they will refund my $325 with lightning speed—within a month.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. Every time I call or have an appointment, something goes wrong. For three consecutive months, they failed to bill my insurance correctly. Then there was an error with my blood draw, and now I have arrived at the Denver office for an appointment only to be told the doctor is not in today, even though the doctor called me yesterday and asked me to come early. Very disappointed.

I do not write reviews lightly, but I strongly feel that other women should hear about my experience. If you are reading this, you may be in the same vulnerable, helpless position I was. You may be looking for answers, clarity, and genuine support. You trust that a clinic like Shady Grove will help you understand why you are struggling and guide you toward pregnancy. That was not my experience. Instead of feeling supported, I felt rushed and dismissed, and ultimately drawn into a system that seemed more focused on selling treatments than truly understanding my situation. The $300 "consultation" was superficial at best...and quickly shifted to discussions of IVF, procedures, and costs. Rather than giving me a thorough diagnosis or personalized plan, Dr. Harris showed me a chart of how babies are made and directed me to the finance department, where the focus again shifted to budgeting for IVF. It was incredibly discouraging. When you are physically and emotionally exhausted, the last thing you need is to feel like a number...or worse, a transaction. After I raised my concerns with Dr. Harris and advocated for myself, I was pressured into an $1100 procedure that was not needed, $600 in blood tests, an $1800 ultrasound, and a $300 follow-up, only to be told that everything was normal, she was right, and IVF was my only option. And if you cannot pay the deposit before your appointment, there is nothing they can do. You have to cancel and pay an additional cancellation fee. Ladies, there are other options. Some doctors will take the time to listen, investigate carefully, and genuinely care about your path to parenthood, not just your ability to pay. Fortunately, I had experienced that kind of care before, so I could immediately tell the difference. Do your research. Ask questions. Advocate for yourself. Most importantly, do not assume this is your only path to having a child. You deserve better care. This business is taking advantage of desperate women hoping for a miracle. Please go elsewhere.

If you have Tricare insurance, be cautious with this clinic. They have not updated their practice information, causing incorrect billing and potentially leaving you with additional costs. They also seem to have referral problems. You receive only five minutes with the doctor, and the experience is very poor.

My experience at SGF was wonderful! The way they made me feel was unmatched. If you are struggling with fertility, this is an excellent choice.

My husband and I had been receiving treatment at SGF since October 2022. Sadly, we ultimately had to leave and seek a second opinion. We saw Dr. Harris, who was wonderful, but we felt we had to do our own research and advocate for additional testing and treatment. We experienced six failed IUIs and three failed IVF cycles. We placed great hope in SGF but faced repeated disappointment and heartbreak. Each failure left us asking why. Dr. Harris did provide some answers, but we still had to research and determine the next steps ourselves. If you are a new patient, insist that your partner's sperm DNA fragmentation or DFI be tested. Doing this earlier could have saved us considerable time, energy, and pain. I wish semen analysis routinely included it. My husband's semen analyses had always been good, and we learned about DNA fragmentation testing only through a Facebook group. If fragmentation is high, advocate for further treatment and do not automatically accept urologist Dr. McBride's recommendation for testicular sperm extraction (TESE). We were told TESE was the only option, but I did my own research and insisted on more testing and treatment. Ultimately, sperm DNA fragmentation declined from 79% to 7%. SGF did not work for us, but I hope it works for you. Remember that you must advocate for yourself and insist on testing. If we had not done so, we would not have discovered the DNA fragmentation issue until after our first failed IVF cycle, or found treatment at all. I wish we had tested sperm DNA fragmentation before beginning IUI.

Over the past year, the SGF staff have been very kind and supportive, and with their help I am now pregnant.

Excellent experience. Everyone was kind, communication was smooth, and calls and messages received prompt replies, usually within 24 hours. Scheduling was flexible, and they always found a time when needed. I was surprised that a nurse rather than a doctor performed the intrauterine insemination, but overall the experience was very good. I had unknowingly overpaid, and they later mailed me a refund check. Highly recommended.

Shady Grove took excellent care of me throughout my fertility journey. They patiently answered all my questions and guided me through every step. I felt safe and comfortable there. Special thanks to Dr. Harris, Steph, and Ally! They are an outstanding medical team.

Everyone at Shady Grove is wonderful. All staff are courteous, helpful, and friendly, making every visit much easier. Steph, the technician who performed most of my ultrasounds, deserves special recognition. She is kind and professional and makes every visit extremely comfortable. She is approachable and easy to talk with, eliminating the awkwardness these appointments can involve. I usually have social anxiety, but not with Steph, which is crucial given the intimate nature of these visits. Although I wish I did not need to come here, the staff make the experience much more than a stressful medical procedure. The front desk is welcoming, the medical assistants are kind and skilled—every blood draw succeeded—the technicians are knowledgeable and personable, and the nurses respond quickly and willingly answer questions. I have met Dr. Harris only a few times, but I know she works hard behind the scenes. Whenever we speak, she explains things in a way I understand, making her dedication very clear. Everyone here has made my journey easier, and I cannot wait to share good news with them.

My experience at Shady Grove Fertility was extremely poor. I transferred from CNY Fertility, but this was worse. I was assigned to Dr. Polatsky, who was disrespectful and demeaning toward women and acted from ego rather than compassion. His chauvinistic behavior made me uncomfortable entrusting my body to him. I never requested experimental treatment, but he falsely accused me of doing so. When I requested another doctor, the clinic denied it on the morning of my second appointment, after taking my payment. The denial was based on Dr. Polatsky's lies, poor communication, and chaotic clinic management. I was 37 with low AMH and lost several precious months. I could have completed IVF during that time. Their disorder and conflicting information were shocking. This clinic should be cautious, as its treatment of patients could lead to a discrimination lawsuit. I would never trust them with my health. Stay away.

Our Shady Grove Fertility experience was wonderful. Dr. Murray and her team supported my husband and me for over three years as our family grew. Through laughter, consultations, and countless tears of heartbreak and joy, they stayed with us. Nurse Kelsey and the technicians were patient, kind, encouraging, and caring. They never abandoned us or our dream, but honestly explained our family-building options. At our hardest moments, they helped and answered questions around the clock. When our blessing arrived, the team celebrated together. I completed one IVF cycle and began a second, but Dr. Harris thought IUI might be better, so we switched in May. We had paid for IVF. They kept claiming we owed money, yet billed my insurer for an IVF cycle! They coded it incorrectly and tried to charge me $2180. My husband called over 20 times, and they kept stalling: first her voicemail was broken, then she awaited an insurance correction, then someone submitted wrong information, and now she is on vacation. I am furious. They said they would resubmit IUI instead of IVF. They take your money quickly but take months to return it. I keep receiving texts saying I owe money, but they owe me! I will report them to the Better Business Bureau. Be careful.

Dr. Murray is an outstanding fertility doctor passionate about her specialty. She is highly knowledgeable, considers every possible solution, and sets realistic expectations. She takes time to explain and understand, doing everything possible for the best outcome. I saw other SGF doctors, but none explained things or understood me as clearly. She never makes you feel like one of many patients, which is vital when facing fertility problems and enormous costs. Dr. Murray's advice was right from the beginning. After years of stressful treatment, I always said that even if we had no child, it would not be because she failed to try; I never blamed anyone or believed another approach was missed. Ultimately, we were fortunate to have a healthy, beautiful baby boy, and I will always thank Dr. Murray for this gift!

Dr. Harris is a good doctor, but check your insurance carefully because finance does not know what it is doing. They verified my insurance and said I was fully in-network, although I initially believed I was out-of-network and planned to pay only for the consultation. I asked multiple people repeatedly and was assured this was correct. It was not. I was out-of-network, and they tried charging thousands for services available through my in-network OB-GYN. After discovering Shady Grove's error, my insurer confirmed Dr. Harris was in-network but Shady Grove was not, and finance had failed to disclose the treatment location despite being asked repeatedly. I appealed, so Shady Grove was paid at in-network rates. Now they have the audacity to bill me for the unpaid balance, although the error was theirs and they received substantial insurance payment. They were extremely unhelpful, and managers ignored repeated callback requests. Finance certainly gives “Shady” Grove a different meaning.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the excellent care and support provided by Shady Grove. From the moment we entered the clinic, the staff showed incredible warmth, thoughtfulness, and respect. The doctors and nurses patiently explained our treatment options in detail, ensuring that we felt informed and reassured throughout the process. The entire team was always willing to answer our questions, offer guidance, and provide emotional support when we felt overwhelmed. Their expertise, attention to detail, and personalized approach made our treatment experience exceptional. We truly felt that we were not merely patients, but partners throughout the process. Thanks to their attentive care, we are thrilled to be expecting our first child in March 2026! After a very unfortunate and distressing experience at another clinic, my husband and I came to Shady Grover Fertility Center in Colorado. After meeting Dr. Murray, all our fears and doubts disappeared, and we knew we were in the right place receiving the best care. From our first visit to our last, all our questions were answered, and every team member from the Colorado Springs office to the Denver office was informed. Communication between the offices was seamless, and our needs were always addressed promptly. Every staff member treated us with kindness and respect. We have a beautiful daughter who will soon turn two from our first transfer in October 2022, and we are delighted to be pregnant again after our second transfer in June 2025. Thank you to Dr. Murray and everyone at Shady Grover Fertility Center for giving us the chance to grow our family when we once thought it was impossible. I am extremely pleased with Shady Grove. I looked around before finding them, but Kaide and Jeannie became the powerful team I never knew I needed. They made everything much easier, from finances, prior authorization, actually using my insurance benefits, and paperwork to medical care. Before Shady Grove, I tried Conceptions and CCRM. I had many problems with Conceptions and even reported them to my insurance company. CCRM seemed great at first, but I did not actually use my insurance benefits there. By the time I reached Shady Grove, I had experienced indescribable stress, scar tissue, and overall frustration. Kaide and Jeannie helped resolve all my insurance and medical issues, and we actually maximized my benefits. I cannot express how grateful I am to them. They truly deserve a raise! I do not yet know the outcome of my cycle, but for me that depends more on my body than the clinic. Regardless, I strongly recommend going to Shady Grove and nowhere else. I wish I had gone there from the start.

I cannot say enough good things about the doctors, nurses, ultrasound technicians, and phlebotomists. They were all exceptional. I had a wonderful experience at the clinic and received outstanding care. I recently officially graduated from the clinic, which was bittersweet. My first egg retrieval and first transfer have both been successful so far. I highly recommend Shady Grove for your fertility needs. 10/10; I will definitely return if I want to grow my family in the future. I was treated by Dr. Shonna Murray and highly recommend her. She was very attentive to my risks after egg retrieval and checked on me several times afterward. I am very grateful to her and to all the nurses who listened and genuinely cared about me. I was treated here but moved to California. I called to establish ongoing care, but they refused because I was no longer local. I could not understand this and repeatedly explained that I still had family there, but they said I needed care in California. We therefore had to restart a months-long process at a local clinic without a shared-risk program.

I cannot praise my experience with Shady Grove Fertility and Dr. Shona Murray enough. From beginning to end, my care was compassionate, professional, and personal. The front desk staff were always welcoming, and the blood-draw team stood out for their kindness. They chatted with us and made me feel genuinely cared for and valued. Dr. Murray was wonderful. From the start, she truly cared about our treatment and outcome, and her joy was obvious when we received good news. The ultrasound technicians were also excellent—always friendly and communicative, explaining everything at every visit, which greatly eased my anxiety. Thanks to this clinic, I have a beautiful 2-year-old daughter, and I am happy to share that my recent embryo transfer succeeded—I am now 8 weeks pregnant! Guidance was always clear. We had just moved to Colorado Springs and asked our OB-GYN which fertility center they recommended. This place was highly recommended because we wanted to transfer embryos from our previous out-of-state clinic. They said they do not accept outside embryos, which is fine. What I disliked was the receptionist's rudeness from the moment she answered. She simply said, “We do not accept outside embryos.” When my husband repeated it to confirm his understanding and seek clarification, she snapped the same statement again and went silent. She offered no explanation or guidance on where we could go. It was simply rude. This first customer-service experience unfortunately made me wary of choosing the practice, despite our excitement about the referral. In this work, kindness should be standard, and that was not what we received.

I had a wonderful experience at the Center for Advanced Reproductive Medicine. The staff knew me well, and I genuinely felt that they supported me through this challenging journey. I always felt welcome and truly cared for. They made me comfortable and provided exceptional support and care every time. The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and helpful and did everything possible to give patients the best experience. The doctors were knowledgeable and honest while remaining kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs help trying to conceive. My husband and I are very fortunate that they helped us become pregnant twice! We are thrilled and very grateful for the experience!

Their entire billing process is questionable. When we first received an email and portal link to check in, it requested insurance. We entered our information, and it showed a $50 copay, which we paid online. At the appointment, the front desk said they did not accept our insurance. I asked why the online system had verified only a copay, and they said their system does not accept insurance. Their website clearly says they accept Cigna, yet we had to pay another $290. The first visit alone cost $340. Ridiculous.
