I want to give special thanks to Dr. Durso, Nurse Anna, and Nurse Practitioner Laura. My husband and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting a baby boy in November 2026, thanks to Shady Grove Fertility. My father passed away on March 14, 2025. I had my embryo transfer on March 13, 2026, one day before the first anniversary of his death. I went through three failed intrauterine inseminations (IUIs) and one successful in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle. It was a long and difficult journey. I enrolled in the IVF high-risk program, which was expensive, but my mother helped me greatly. My employer provides good insurance, but it did not cover any medication costs, so I had to pay out of pocket. Keep in mind that medication costs add up quickly. Also remember that many others are going through the same experience. Keep your spirits up, and stay strong and brave! I would recommend Shady Grove Fertility to anyone who longs to have a family.

Wife and I went through SGF for our second child. Great personnel from the front staff to the medical team onsite. Appointments were easy to schedule, ample availability of appointments and for the most part the waits were minimal. The parking lot can get a bit packed, which means you will have to walk a little, less than 5 minutes.

Everyone at the Fredericksburg location is wonderful and highly professional! They make you feel welcome and comfortable every time you visit.

My fertility coordinator, Lauren, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, encouraging, and kind. She made me feel like a priority and answered my countless questions with patience and humor. Every staff member was friendly and professional. They made a potentially frightening and difficult time much easier.

From beginning to end, my experience at Shady Grove Fertility was excellent. Fertility treatment can feel overwhelming, but the entire team made the process supportive, organized, and hopeful. Special thanks to my nurse, Lauren, who went far beyond expectations. She was always responsive, compassionate, and knowledgeable. No matter how many questions I asked, she patiently explained everything and ensured that I felt reassured and confident at every step. Her kindness and dedication meant so much during a stressful and uncertain time. I am deeply grateful for Shady Grove Fertility's professionalism, attentive care, and genuine compassion. They treat every patient as an individual, not a number. I highly recommend them to anyone on a fertility journey.

I struggled to conceive and tried almost everything. Shady Grove was my last hope. My first attempt succeeded, and I became pregnant with my little girl, which brought me immense joy. I thank Shady Grove for helping me have the child I had always dreamed of and never thought possible. God placed these doctors here for a reason. I also thank Dr. Durso for her patience and help in enabling me to conceive my daughter.

The entire staff is always kind and helpful, but I especially want to recognize Lauren and Dr. Durso. Lauren always had an answer ready for all my questions, and Dr. Durso is exceptional at what she does. I could not be more grateful for such an amazing team.

Amazing!!! Every clinician was professional, thoughtful, understanding, and attentive to all your needs. Dr. Durso is the best! It is reassuring to find a doctor who truly listens. She is a gem my family and I will always treasure. My little prince was born healthy after our first cycle. That says it all!

This will be a long review because I was treated here for several years. In only a few years, we completed 3 natural cycles, 12 intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles, and 1 egg retrieval. I admit there were a few billing errors when claims were submitted to insurance, but they were corrected quickly. Billing issues during treatment are stressful, but these were not deal-breakers because they were resolved promptly. Sadly, Rosario has left; she was wonderful. She cried with me and hugged me after every failed cycle, and I am deeply grateful to her. The new phlebotomist is equally good and very gentle. I am a difficult blood draw, so I am thankful they have someone so skilled! My nurse is Anna. I cannot remember my first nurse's name, but both were very gentle and thoughtful, especially given how many calls they must make to tell patients that cycles have failed. They are sensitive about the nature of each call and know how to communicate with people longing for a child. The entire clinic understands the pain of infertility. Even with secondary infertility, children are not allowed in the clinic because of the sensitivity involved. I saw several physician assistants, and my primary doctor was Dr. Nancy Durso. She is the best. It was clear that she genuinely cared about her patients. She does not do this only for money; she truly wants to help people build families. She would talk with me, ask how I was doing, or chat about music, and I never felt like just another source of revenue at Shady Grove Fredericksburg. I love my team. Sometimes I had to go to Fairfax, which was inconvenient, but I understand they are closed on weekends and timing sometimes requires it. Dr. Durso also performed my egg retrieval in Fairfax. Amazingly, I conceived naturally in the same month as the retrieval, so I never needed a transfer. They monitored my pregnancy until about 10 weeks, then transferred me to my OB-GYN for continued care. About three weeks after my son was born, Anna called to check on us. It was so thoughtful and unexpected! She arranged for me to bring my son to meet the staff—the team that had helped me conceive him. They scheduled it during lunch so patients still undergoing infertility treatment would not encounter a child in the clinic. Even now that my son is here, I remain grateful for their sensitivity toward patients who are still struggling. Overall, the clinic staff are friendly, empathetic, and thoughtful about the sensitive nature of treatment. From the front desk to the nurses, phlebotomist, physician assistants, and of course Dr. Durso, the entire team is wonderful. I am deeply grateful to this clinic, though it feels bittersweet not to need them anymore. Of course, the goal is ultimately not to need them, but you form strong bonds with people who care for you, so leaving can feel sad.

We had an amazing experience with Shady Grove and would highly recommend them to anyone going through challenges with fertility. Dr Durso, Anna, and the entire team front-to-back were so supportive and compassionate throughout our journey. We really appreciated how open and honest they were in answering all of our questions. I visited three of the other SGF offices (for weekend appointments or procedures) and everyone I interacted with across the board was genuine and nice. We're so thankful for SGF! Their passion and care for us kept our hope alive.

My experience at Shady Grove was not positive. I scheduled IUI in 2022 and was very confused about the process and timing. On day 3, I went for an ultrasound and paid for both the ultrasound and IUI. After medication was prescribed, I received a call saying my BMI was too high, which devastated me. I understand the process, but I wish someone had explained it before I traveled to Woodbridge. Years later, I lost the required weight and more, then tried to schedule IUI again. I completed the intake forms and called but never heard back. I have attended another fertility clinic where someone is always available by phone, the office is open 7 days a week, and patients do not wait months for a response. Fortunately, I became pregnant through IUI. Looking back on everything, I do feel I wasted time and money at Shady Grove. The people were kind, but I wish they communicated better.

After years of trying and heartbreak, I am delighted to announce that my husband and I finally welcomed our beautiful baby. Honestly, at one point I thought it would never happen because I experienced nearly every medical setback along the way. However, Dr. Durso and nurse coordinators Vivien and Anna never gave up on us or our dream. My baby girl is only one month old, but she is perfect to me. Whenever I look at her, I remember the journey I completed with the support and encouragement of the Shady Grove team. It was all worthwhile.

The SGF team was outstanding throughout my three years of treatment. Dr. Durso, Anna Harriot, and the other team members at SGF Fredericksburg were professional, knowledgeable, approachable, and willing to listen to and answer any question. When I lost my baby, I felt respected and supported rather than treated as just a number. Dr. Durso never gave up, supported every attempt, and honestly shared the data for each procedure. SGF is the reason I am now a mother, and I will always be grateful. I highly recommend SGF.

If you are struggling with infertility or uncertain about your path to pregnancy, go to SGF. Dr. Nancy, whose last name I have forgotten, is amazing. Hers is the best fertility clinic team I have encountered. If you need a doctor for fertility concerns, go to SGF. I love her and her team. They once saved my life. I had high blood pressure and did not even know it. During testing and evaluation, the doctor identified it and helped determine the source of my fertility problems. I later saw a cardiologist who confirmed it. In any case, my baby is now 16 months old. Dr. Nancy cares about you and takes every aspect of your health seriously.

This clinic is amazing! Everyone is helpful and friendly and truly knows what they are doing. I have no complaints at all. My nurse, Anna, is always attentive and supports my decisions, whatever I choose. She is also always reachable by phone or portal message. The only drawback is that I sometimes have to go to Woodbridge or Fairfax for monitoring or certain treatments that are available only at another location or when no provider is present. That is not the clinic's fault. I have been a Shady Grove patient in Woodbridge and Fredericksburg since 2020 and honestly highly recommend both clinics! Even Ashley, the financial counselor I worked with through SG, was very professional and knowledgeable about insurance and benefits. I have read about poor experiences at other clinics, but mine has been excellent!

Outstanding professionals throughout: Dr. Durso, nurse Lauren, the phlebotomists, ultrasound technicians, and embryology team. Even when I visited other locations, including Fairfax, I met professionals who clearly love their work. I most appreciated their communication and the relaxed feeling that they listened to my concerns and understood how emotional this process is, ensuring we received the best professional care! A wonderful medical family! I am grateful for my experience at SG FXG! Thank you all!

I came here because I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and wanted someone who genuinely cared and could help me. This clinic made me feel more important than any other clinic had. Before coming here, I saw four OB-GYNs. This clinic found a medication that effectively treated my PCOS without making me ill.
