    My Finace has a degenerate bone condition due to a genetic disorder and joint condition with rheumatoid arthritis. Her hip rapidly got worse over the last year. She’s been repeatedly been told that she needs to loose forty pounds before she can get surgery per auroras policy. Thank god she went somewhere else. Her new doctor says that Due to her condition no one in the area can do the surgery and needs to be done by a big hospital. The concern about her weight is invalid since a higher BMI increases the chances of infection which makes no difference because rhumitoid medication inhibits the immune system. She won’t be able to lose weight because she can’t barely get off the couch with the hip. The new doctor was angry that they put her through this. Long story short, if it’s not a routine easy surgery they won’t do any thing and won’t tell you that you can actually get treatment somewhere else. Aurora complaint department. I think you really need to evaluate the morality of your job defending this company. I guess they must pay you well.

    This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. If your hip is dislocated and then dislocates another 11 times, I strongly recommend that you do not go to this hospital. Go to Green Bay or any other hospital rather than this terrible place.

    Your phone system is trash. It has slowly gotten worse over the years. I used to be able to call and receive a "switch board operator"-type person who sent me directly to the office I needed. Recently, I call in and get a "representative" who can't even schedule two kids to get a flu shot at the same time with a nurse, its easier to stop in at an office to make an appointment. Or I have to send a message to the doctor asking them to call me to schedule the appointment. Now the system is even worse. I got a call from gastro telling me to call them to schedule. I call back and the phone system now makes me speak my birthdate and doesn't understand the department I say (I don't have an accent). Then I talk to a "representative" and I have to tell them my birthdate again - I just told the phone that! Why make me do it twice? Then she can't even send me to the correct place - she sends me to gastro approvals. That person can't send me to gastro, either, for some reason doesn't know how to transfer a call? When I go to Prevea I can call directly to the people I need. Have a question for allergy? Oh! Here is the number! Oh look an allergy receptionist answers and understands what I'm asking. I will be using less Aurora soley because your phone system is now trash. I've gone to Prevea for Allergy, Neurology, and Sleep recently and talked to someone in each department immediately. I've been playing phone tag with gastro for 2 weeks now at Aurora. My kids doctors at Aurora tell me to send them a message and not even bother trying to call, as I can no longer talk to the receptionists and your phone system is trash. Also, your hold music sucks.

    I have nothing positive to say about billing. Since my daughter's birth, it has been a nightmare. Despite clearly explaining primary and secondary insurance at every visit, they could not understand or apply them correctly. We repeatedly provided the same information, but the issue remained unresolved. Calls and emails often went unanswered, and responses offered no real solution. This confusion and lack of accountability are unacceptable, especially for medical billing. This must be resolved immediately. The process is flawed and has caused needless stress during an already difficult time.

    I was transferred here from Marinette Hospital for a heart problem. I received excellent care and treatment. The cardiology nurses were wonderful!

    Terrible medical care. I came after a car accident and a sudden panic attack, both requiring proper treatment. I also clearly told staff that my symptoms strongly matched a urinary tract infection. They only performed an ECG and repeatedly failed to start an IV. I was stuck at least ten times and endured needless pain without receiving any fluids. They explicitly said they would test me for a UTI and prescribe antibiotics, but did neither. I received no effective treatment. They then discharged me into a friend’s care with every concern unresolved. The staff seemed negligent and indifferent, and more focused on money than patient-centered care. Avoid this hospital unless you want to waste time and money. I am extremely disappointed.

    The food service needs improvement. I did not receive the dishes I selected because they gave me the previous day’s menu, and they never provided a new menu to complete. Very frustrating.

    This clinic is a waste of time. They do not care about your condition. Although I had previously seen a doctor there for back pain, they required a new referral, adding unnecessary expense. Worse, their HIPAA policy allows them to disclose your private information to anyone for any reason without your consent.

    I did not appreciate the nurse threatening to withhold my medication refill because I had not scheduled an appointment. Why should I waste time and money for a five-minute visit? This place is purely a money grab. What rule says I must have an appointment every year?

    Five stars for Aurora BayCare! I was very pleased with the entire team when my husband needed a colonoscopy/endoscopy. Dr. Cristescu provided excellent care, and the anesthesia from Dr. Michael Johnson was also excellent. Everything was explained clearly, and the procedure was completed ahead of schedule. Everyone is healthy and happy. Thank you, Aurora BayCare!

    Scheduling by phone is nearly impossible. They require me to complete admission forms online. Previously, I could park near the department by the café and check in there. Now I must walk all the way to the front of the hospital, sit and wait until someone is available to check me in, then walk back to the rear of the hospital to reach my original destination. They do not care about patients or making access easier; they only care about making money. It is sickening that my insurance is used at a place like this.

    I had good doctors there several years ago, but now everything has changed, and it is terrible. I finally understand why my aunt M died by suicide because of rheumatoid arthritis in her hands. My quality of life declines every day. Changes in wind or weather can cause intense stabbing pain that feels like electric shocks. My hands curl into fists, and my fingers swell. The stiffness is extremely painful and leaves me unable to move. Only hot water or another heat source offers slight relief and eventually allows my fingers to open. This suffering has gone on far too long. It is very hard to endure. This Christmas was awful. Please refer me to someone who truly wants me and everyone else to live a healthy life. Thank you.

    I am extremely disappointed with the treatment my sister received at this Aurora hospital. She arrived severely dehydrated and visibly unwell, expecting medical care, but instead encountered indifference and judgment. The doctor did not introduce themselves or provide IV fluids—basic care in this situation—and spent more time blaming her than listening or helping. Her symptoms were not taken seriously at any point. Being sick and weak is difficult enough without being treated like a burden. The lack of compassion, professionalism, and appropriate treatment was shocking. A hospital should make patients feel supported and cared for, not shamed and dismissed. I strongly urge people to think twice before choosing this hospital, especially if they expect empathy and respect. She is a college student, and I advise anyone considering this hospital for any reason to look elsewhere. Update: I contacted the email address in their response but have still received no reply. Do they truly care about patients?! This gives everyone even more reason to avoid this place.

    I would not recommend Aurora Baycare to anyone, especially Dr. McKenna's office. They offer no care, compassion, or communication and care only about money. They use insurance as an excuse to break their promises. If you want to feel seen and heard, I suggest going elsewhere.

    This hospital's billing and customer service are terrible. Prospective patients should know that they send only electronic bills, not paper statements. I discovered this only when they sent me to collections. I had been waiting for a paper bill in the mail, and they sent one only just before referring me to collections. No one at the hospital told me that bills would be sent only electronically and through the app. Had I known, I would have downloaded the app and set up a payment plan. I called the billing department, but they were completely unhelpful and essentially said I was out of luck and it was no longer their problem. They failed to disclose how my bill would be delivered, and now my credit score has been affected. This is absurd. I will never use Aurora again!!!

    I take my sister to Aurora with her doctor several times each month for infusions and follow-up visits, so I occasionally treat myself at the café. Yesterday, one server tossed cheese cubes onto my tray with her bare hand, while the server handing out turkey sandwiches said nothing. I hope I do not get sick. 😷 The staff seemed different, but I do not go every day, so I am not sure. I previously thought the prices were reasonable and the food was good! 😒

    Terrible, absolutely terrible experiences at both the Two Rivers, Wisconsin emergency room and the Green Bay, Wisconsin pain management center. I would never return, even if it were the last place on earth. I would rather die from illness or injury than go to Aurora Baycare again, at any location! Indifferent, uninformed, aggressive, rude, and disrespectful.

    On March 15, 2025, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) sent me to this facility for “Mission Act” urgent care to obtain enough medication until my VA shipment arrived. I had never visited this facility and did not know where urgent care was. I entered through another entrance and asked a staff member for directions. The employee walked me through the building. As in many facilities, urgent care and the emergency department were in the same location. It turned out that this Aurora facility does not provide urgent care on Saturdays, although some other locations do. I saw no signs inside communicating this important information, and no employee told me. There were also no signs and no one informed me that an emergency department visit would incur a charge, even though I clearly explained that I needed only about 10 to 15 pills until the VA mailed my medication. I complained to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but Aurora BayCare appears to have ignored it. Another issue is that the amount due keeps changing. The first text said $550, then it became $576, then $1,100, then $576 again. The latest amount is $750.

    It was a pleasure working with this team, especially with the new text-message update technology. While my mother had surgery in Green Bay, I received text updates throughout the day. Thanks to Nurse Adrienne for her help. The surgery was successful, and I did not have to spend the whole day anxiously waiting. I highly recommend this feature!

    My girlfriend had surgery but was sent home with inadequate pain medication, forcing her to return to the emergency room. She was then taken by ambulance from Shawano Hospital back to Green Bay and admitted overnight. This could all have been avoided with proper care from the start. Although she stayed overnight and received the right medication there, she was again sent home with inadequate pain medication. Clearly, if you would not use it in the hospital, why send someone home with it and expect a better outcome? You must do better!

    VEEG monitoring was a complete joke. They let me convulse for five minutes. A nurse was already beside me when the seizure started, and the nurses' station was right outside my door. I was there because of refractory epilepsy. Not all the treatment I received was poor or negligent. I saw several good doctors there, but there were more bad doctors than good ones. My care included surgery, inpatient and outpatient treatment, hospitalization after emergency admission, same-day discharge, several specialists, and several primary care doctors. If someone asks you to send your medications home, do not agree immediately. Several times, they did not have the medications my husband took home. They assumed what they had would work the same way for me, and we assumed they had the same medication I used. This caused additional emergencies. Only the good doctors apologized; the people who made mistakes never did. It is better than having no care. After a medication mix-up, I heard, “I don't want anyone to be blamed, but...” I knew it was the doctor's responsibility, but he still blamed the staff. A former attending refused a second opinion and back imaging after a car accident. I eventually went to a clinic at another hospital, months after Mihailescu, now my former attending, refused to help me. Again, other people apologized for one another's mistakes. They found that my spine was fractured. However, another doctor has been wonderful since my first visit to Aurora 15 years ago. I recommend reading reviews of individual providers, not only reviews of hospitals and clinics. Some reviews may sound unbelievable, but do not ignore them. Problems can happen anywhere. The same applies to doctor-patient relationships/advocates. Some people did their very best and acted with kindness. Others did only half of what they should have done and were rude.

    Experiences may vary by department, but they cared for me exceptionally well. From beginning to end, I was treated with dignity and respect and received clear communication. I hate being a patient—the vulnerability and exposure—and I am afraid of hospitals. It was never an easy experience, but they did everything possible to minimize my discomfort and preserve my dignity. I cannot fully express my gratitude. Thank you.

    I will never return to Aurora! In August 2024, I saw Dr. Gupta for neck problems. I was losing my balance and had a stiff neck. Something was wrong. Aurora took X-rays, but the doctor was dismissive. He did not even bother to sit down and review them with me. He said I had arthritis in my neck and told me to apply arthritis cream. I knew more was happening. A year later, my balance was worsening and my hands tingled at night. Again knowing it was my neck, I sent the X-rays to an upper-cervical chiropractor in Mequon. He examined me the next day and explained that I clearly had C1-C2 misalignment. Because of this doctor's deplorable, unprofessional, and arrogant attitude, I lived in pain and fear for nearly a year! Please note that they had no problem billing me, and I had no insurance. I will be exploring my legal options!

    There was a doctor at Bay Hospital who performed surgery. Dr. Vien would not let him do the procedure, and he damaged my leg.

    With my wrist cut and my ear severed and needing medical attention, I reached the lowest point in my life. I was physically and mentally exhausted, and it is remarkable that no one helped treat my wounds. I suppose they were not severe enough to need medical care or treatment. Maybe I deserved to be ignored and left uncared for; that is what I thought. Because I come from the lower class and like champagne. Go, cheeseheads.

    The surgeon's conversation felt rushed. We received only a partial explanation of the work completed. No one called with the results within 8 days after surgery, so my wife only reached someone after 3 attempts. The surgeon was rude and did not explain why the esophagus or duodenum was biopsied or explain the prescription for CREON, although antibiotics were discussed. My husband is still where he started. Poor communication, teaching and education, and bedside manner. The surgeon had a medical student present; it was terrible 😳

    The worst hospital on earth. Every nurse we had was rude or had an attitude when asked simple questions. The doctor was not very helpful and tried to pressure my husband into an unnecessary surgery.

    Remember when you could speak directly with department staff when calling to make an appointment? Those were the days! Now when you call 288-8100 to schedule, you are transferred to someone outside the hospital. I have been trying to schedule a routine appointment. Not long ago, this task took 5 to 10 minutes. I am now on my third day and still have no appointment. Why can we not call the departments directly to schedule? Why has Aurora taken away the ability to speak with people who know you, know the area, and know the staff?

    I needed urgent care for an eye problem and immediate surgery. It was a frightening situation, but Dr. Wang's office reassured me. The professional, caring staff took time to answer my questions.

    This location (Greenbrier Rd) does not adequately clean its equipment. I contracted COVID two days after going to this hospital for testing. We stay home and take precautions, avoid all indoor places, buy groceries online, and have been very careful. I noticed they do not clean anything you use, such as the pulse oximeter or blood pressure equipment. If they do not clean this equipment, what else are they failing to maintain behind the scenes? Sad! 11-11-23 - The second issue is that customers cannot reach their provider's department by phone. Aurora customers have faced communication problems since the change in ownership! 9-19-24 - This is a money-sucking network. I had an ultrasound, but the scan was poor and showed little. They gave me excuses about why they could not see it properly. My two cents: they either have old equipment or incompetent staff. Yet I received a $1000 bill for nothing. What a scam! I think it is time to look at other hospitals.

    I am currently 4 months pregnant and have been calling for months to see a doctor. My appointment was today. I called to ask whether there was an earlier time, and the scheduler completely canceled my appointment and hung up on me. They told me the earliest available appointment was another month away, when I would be 5 months pregnant and still unable to access medical care! This is terrible.

    I highly recommend Dr. Wang Weiquan. I was very satisfied with my surgery and with Dr. Wang's care before and after it. I would definitely return to him for any future eye surgery or care.

    I hope at least one person reads this and benefits from my review. The care I received was adequate and in some respects excellent. The major problem I encountered with this company was the billing department. During the diagnostic process, I received an estimate for a surgical procedure to investigate my symptoms. After insurance, the estimate showed that my share of the bill would be about $750, which I accepted. After the procedure, I received bills totaling $23,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance almost an entire year and an audit to correct the issue. I called the Aurora billing department repeatedly and asked to speak with a billing supervisor, but was ignored and repeatedly transferred to lower-level staff who kept telling me they had done nothing wrong. Check your bills and make sure they do not take advantage of you as they tried to take advantage of me. I can only imagine how many people have been overcharged for services after going through what I did.
