Will this place help you have children? Maybe—it depends. At the ripe age of 22, I was told IVF was my only option. There was little to no investigation into what had caused my infertility or why. I understand that they do not always know, but living through it is incredibly frustrating. I ended up seeing specialists out of state and was diagnosed with Asherman's syndrome (scarring in the uterus), which all their testing had missed. Regardless, the nurses treated me horribly, and I felt like an inconvenience every time I had to be there. I literally felt like cattle going to slaughter every time I went. It was a horrifying, traumatizing experience. Go out of state—go anywhere else.

We cannot imagine having better people beside us on this journey. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful. I had seen doctors for some time hoping for answers but found none. Within minutes of speaking with Dr. Davenport, I immediately felt that I had come to the right place. Susanna is truly wonderful. We always believed that “we will succeed,” and now I am 23 weeks pregnant, with our little one soon to enter the world. Without Susanna, Audra, and Kristin, I do not think I could have remained so calm throughout this journey. I cannot wait to bring our little angel to visit the people who helped us so much.

My experience at FINA was excellent. The doctor is highly skilled, thorough, knowledgeable, and patient in explaining everything. The nurses and staff are also friendly, caring, and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable and reassured, like family. I felt I could discuss anything with them without fear of judgment. Fertility treatment can be emotional and stressful, but the FINA team made the journey much easier. I am very grateful for their attentive care and highly recommend FINA.

Three and a half years later, I have two sons. I love this place, the people there, and Dr. Davenport. The only issue is cost. They do not accept Veterans Affairs (VA) insurance, for reasons everyone knows, and I do not know which insurance plans they accept, so paying out of pocket is very expensive. However, the results are amazing, and their compassion and understanding are unmatched. Love you all! I truly wish I had more money so I could have more children, because I trust the FINA team to deliver on its promise—pun intended—and do everything possible to help you become pregnant 🤰

I LOVE FINA. I love the staff. I know some people have problems with their beliefs and while I don’t share their beliefs, I 100% respect them. Christine and Audra are the absolute best people in the world and you can not convince me otherwise. Every appointment is like just going to see your best friends and that means so much to people like me. Oh and Keisha!!! Best phlebotomist around. I have the worst veins and she gets me the first time every time. I really love everyone there. You’d be lucky to get to be one of their patients.

This is the best place for miracles. Dr. Davenport and the entire staff are knowledgeable and caring. The process is not easy, but FINA’s support and expertise are invaluable.

As soon as I entered the clinic, I immediately felt a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Everyone was so warm and friendly. I felt wonderful there and received excellent care.

We had a wonderful experience with FINA. They were kind, easy to reach by phone, and very accommodating with early-morning appointments so I could return to work promptly. I have only excellent things to say about the staff, nurses, phlebotomy and ultrasound technicians, CRNPs, and Dr. Davenport. Thank you for everything you did during an emotional and stressful chapter of our lives.

Alicia at the front desk, who speaks very softly, was extremely rude and unhelpful. She accused me of lying because she could complete all the steps in my application system while I could not even access the home page. She offered no useful advice and did not even suggest resending the email. Poor service. I will never return.

We have just welcomed our second FINA baby through this clinic. I began receiving care here in 2023, had my first baby in 2024, and am now pregnant with my second, due in 2026. The journey was difficult, but the medical team made it manageable. Everyone was kind and helpful, and I never had a negative experience. I am very grateful that this clinic gave me hope. I am older and have diminished ovarian reserve (DOR). From the beginning, everyone was honest about my actual chances of pregnancy, which I always appreciated. I did not want anything sugarcoated. I will truly miss everyone.

We love FINA!! Our fertility journey began in 2025. Because of endometriosis and multiple miscarriages, I ultimately had to undergo tubal ligation. We considered IVF and were referred to FINA. From the first appointment, I knew I had chosen the right clinic. Dr. Davenport and his team are knowledgeable, thoughtful, and willing to answer all our questions and concerns. We are now more than two months pregnant with twins and are truly grateful to them 🩷💙♥️

I believe it was 2021 when we began seeing Dr. Davenport after trying for a year to conceive our second child. We learned that my husband was not producing sperm, but further testing did not reveal why. Dr. Davenport said there was nothing he could do and suggested egg donation, sperm donation, and IVF. Because we had conceived easily without intervention the first time, I was hesitant to rush into something we could not afford and wanted to investigate the cause. My research showed that clomiphene can increase sperm counts in men with few or no side effects and is inexpensive. I asked whether we could try clomiphene before pursuing such costly and extreme donor egg/sperm options. Dr. Davenport refused to prescribe this commonly used medication, saying it did not work. I was confused: if it was inexpensive and had no side effects, why not try it first? You all know why. After several more fertility specialists provided no answers, I found a functional medicine doctor who diagnosed my husband with Hashimoto's thyroiditis based on laboratory results and fully agreed that clomiphene could help us. After three months on clomiphene, my husband's sperm production returned and I became pregnant. Our daughter was born in October. I am genuinely happy for those he has helped, but remember that fertility treatment is a thriving industry and there is a reason you cannot conceive. Not every doctor is committed to helping you find the answer. Always seek a second opinion.

I am very grateful to everyone at FINA. Kendra is wonderful. I had ongoing ovulation problems, and my first intrauterine insemination (IUI) failed. I then tried timed ovulation and became pregnant on the second attempt. Today I heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time and nearly cried. I cannot thank everyone there enough.

We are immensely grateful to the Fertility Institute of North Alabama for the knowledge, care, and support it has given us over the years. I was an intermittent patient from 2021 to 2025, and almost all the staff I saw remained the same. That continuity mattered greatly throughout my fertility journey, and I formed close bonds with them. They are skilled and kind. Trust me, you will miss them after transferring to your OB-GYN. 😝 I worked mainly with Kendra, Joan, Audra, and Taryn. I appreciate everyone. I am 31 and have unexplained infertility. We tried timed intercourse and several intrauterine inseminations without success. Ultimately, IVF with Dr. Davenport and his team made my first pregnancy possible. Thank God, I became pregnant after my first embryo transfer. I am thrilled and look forward to becoming a mother in June 2026! I will never forget the embryologist handing me a picture and saying it was my baby's first photo. I cried. If you want to build a family, do not hesitate to contact them. Deciding on the next step takes time. I can honestly say I never felt pressured to advance, and they gave their best at every stage. Ask every question you want; that is why they are there.

As a military family, we traveled here from out of state because our experience was so positive. Over the years, we tried intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Joan, the IVF coordinator, is a wonderful person, and I have never felt so much attention and support. Overall, I was very pleased with all the staff. The process was organized, and communication was smooth. My only suggestion is to provide more information/education about the IVF process because people who have never experienced it do not know what to ask or how an IVF pregnancy differs from a natural pregnancy. Thank you, FINA. We will be forever grateful!

I do not understand how Dr. Davenport has so many positive reviews. After my difficult fertility journey, he became cold and offered almost no comfort or support. I had several appointments with him. At first, I tried to understand, thinking his lack of warmth came from regularly seeing patients experience infertility and miscarriage, but I came to believe it was simply his personality. He did not take the time to answer my questions thoroughly, and I left every appointment feeling hopeless. When facing something as physically and emotionally exhausting as fertility problems, you want a doctor who gives you hope, makes you feel he can help, and even makes you feel he wants to help. He never fully explained all my tests. Doctors like this give male fertility specialists a bad name. If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and change doctors. I regret choosing him merely for convenience.

This morning, we graduated from Fertility Institute of North Alabama. It was a bittersweet day. We are so grateful to everyone at FINA. They always listened to our concerns, helped us develop a plan, and helped us build our family. ❤️ We pray that no one has to experience infertility, but if you do, we highly recommend FINA.

I had a very positive experience working with Kendra and Joan. They were compassionate and hardworking and made me feel well cared for during my visits. I also appreciated how efficiently the clinic handled paperwork and organization. However, my overall experience at the clinic was not positive. My main challenges were PCOS and weight, and over the years I felt the treatment plans offered did not consistently help me achieve a healthy pregnancy. I often felt discouraged, and the plans did not seem tailored to my specific circumstances. Unfortunately, I was not successful during my time here. Even so, I believe the clinic can provide a very positive experience for the right person, especially when their needs align with the clinic's standard treatment options.

I called to confirm they were in-network but quickly learned that they only accept married heterosexual couples.

Dr. Davenport is thorough and listens to you. His Staff is very precise with their work and knowledgeable in explaining each step along Fertility treatment can be an emotional rollercoaster, but having a team like this in your corner makes all the difference. We’re beyond grateful for their dedication, precise work and unwavering support. If you’re looking for a fertility clinic that treats you like a person, not a number—this is the place.

My husband and I attended a 10 a.m. appointment together. We both had laboratory tests, and I had a minor diagnostic procedure. We were back in the car by 10:25!! The staff were very prompt, kind, and professional. They truly guide you through every step. We also appreciate that they offer Zoom appointments because we live two hours away, and they are very understanding. At our first meeting, Dr. Davenport developed a care plan for the next four months. We received honest answers, professional care, and a follow-up plan. We highly recommend them!

We absolutely love FINA! Our journey began at another fertility clinic closer to home, but after our first appointment, we felt misled and treated like just a number. That clinic's approach was their way or the highway, so we took the highway and drove more than 3 hours to FINA, recommended by a friend of a friend. Honestly, the drive was completely worth it. We immediately felt the difference. They genuinely care about you and want you to achieve your goal of growing your family. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Joan is amazing! Dr. D takes time to listen and explain the circumstances and available options. Less than a year after starting at FINA, we welcomed our baby. If you are deciding which fertility clinic to choose, the Fertility Institute of North Alabama is unquestionably the right choice. You will not be disappointed. We are so grateful to them!

The Fertility Institute of North Alabama supported us throughout our infertility journey, through every low and high. They stayed optimistic even when I could not. Without their encouragement, I do not know whether I could have continued. I will always be grateful to Dr. Davenport, Joan, Kendra, Audra, Katie, River, Taryn, Julie, and everyone at the clinic. My husband and I officially graduated from the Fertility Institute of North Alabama today. It feels sad and bittersweet because everyone there was always helpful, encouraging, and caring, and always made us feel at home. Still, what a wonderful reason to leave. We are so blessed to be becoming parents. FINA helped us build our family, and we will be forever grateful ❤️.

I have struggled to find the right words since Kendra performed my intrauterine insemination (IUI) on September 9, 2024. I immediately felt that God had created a miracle. I had struggled with fertility since 2013 and saw two doctors without success. In July 2024, I was finally referred to Dr. Davenport and his wonderful nursing team, Kendra and Joan. On July 3, I had just suffered my fourth miscarriage and was devastated. God told me to be patient and let Him handle the rest. Fast-forward to September 9, when Kendra performed my IUI. Again, I immediately knew that God had created a miracle and that I would carry this pregnancy successfully. On October 8, the day before my 40th birthday, I had to call Dr. Davenport because I suddenly began bleeding heavily. Dr. D said, ‘I know this is hard, but try to enjoy your vacation. We will see you in the office on Monday.’ He said he would pray for it, asked me to do the same, and said he would see me Monday. I immediately began praising God because no fertility doctor had ever told me he would pray for my little baby. I knew Dr. D and his team were truly sent by God. Today is July 3, 2025, exactly one year since I lost my fourth baby, and God blessed my fifth attempt with my ‘miracle baby,’ the answer to my dreams and prayers. This time last year I was mourning my loss; this year I am holding my gift from God. I will always be grateful to Dr. Davenport and especially Kendra, whom I emailed and called almost every day. She never turned me away or gave up on me. She listened to every concern and answered every question with ease. When Kendra was away, Joan cared for me as seamlessly as if Kendra had told her exactly what to say and do. I never imagined I would face infertility, but now I have come through it. Thank you all. I will never forget who helped me reach this point. I will forever be grateful to FINA. After the holiday, we will visit and show you the miracle Dr. Davenport and his team helped bring us. She is truly amazing!!!

Dr. Davenport is an amazing doctor, and if you want a child, he will help make it happen. However, the level of care was below what I expected for out-of-pocket, uninsured medical expenses. I constantly felt like a cow being prodded toward the next experiment. No one expects to undergo IVF at age 25, and every nurse and nurse practitioner could use some lessons in empathy. This clinic achieves good results, but the staff need to remember what each patient is going through and how much they have paid for the possibility of being there.

I waited to write this review because I could not find the right words to express what this clinic means to my husband and me, and I still do not think I can do them justice. Dr. Davenport and his staff are absolutely amazing. I never felt like a number, but like a person. Everyone was kind and compassionate throughout our journey. The staff shed both happy and sad tears with me. I am so grateful to this team for helping us get here with our IVF baby. I am due in June with a beautiful baby girl, and I cannot wait to introduce her to everyone who helped make this possible.

The receptionist was unprofessional and rude.

Kendra is undoubtedly the best NP I have ever met. She is compassionate and understanding in difficult situations. She is always optimistic and can even deliver bad news with a degree of positivity that few people can. Through every high and low of our journey, she was always a source of reassurance. Our lovely baby girl is now 20 weeks old, and we are very grateful to the FINA staff.

We had a wonderful experience at FIA! All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Kendra and Joan were so kind and compassionate and provided tremendous support during difficult times. Unlike most medical offices today, they returned calls and messages very quickly. Dr. Davenport explained the options and procedures well without making you feel rushed to choose. We had an important appointment scheduled during an ice storm. They remained open to meet their patients' needs, which we greatly appreciated. We welcomed our baby boy in September.

I cannot recommend Dr. Davenport and his staff highly enough. I had a difficult fertility journey with many obstacles along the way. After my first consultation with him, I immediately knew he was the right doctor for me. I also cannot say enough about how Kendra, Joan, and the entire staff treated me. You truly feel like more than just another patient. Thanks to the help of the FIA team, I will welcome my first child in March.

It is difficult to put into words what this clinic means to our family. FIA will always hold a special place in our hearts. Infertility and IVF were by far the most challenging obstacles we have had to endure. Dr. D, Joan, Kendra, and the entire staff were extremely kind and supportive throughout the process. God blessed our first embryo transfer, and we are expecting our miracle baby boy in early 2025, one year after we began at FIA. When we are ready to grow our family again, we look forward to returning!

This clinic works in a field that requires great empathy and compassion. Unfortunately, my husband and I did not experience this. Our first consultation with the provider was very quick and not very informative. I felt belittled and treated as though we were fools. We decided to proceed to the next appointment and were surprised by a price we had received no warning would have to be paid at the visit. There was no way to pay this bill. It would have been easier to understand had they been more transparent about the price of the procedure. I never received a confirmation call, and I tried twice to contact them the day before my appointment during their short business-hours window, but they still did not answer. The receptionist was rude and essentially told us, "Oh, you cannot afford this? Sorry—next." Overall, this only added stress to an already stressful struggle with infertility. After some time, I will certainly look for someone else to help us build our family. I absolutely do not recommend this clinic.
