    I saw Dr. Blackford once a year. They always tried to schedule me with a physician assistant first, but when I asked to see the doctor, they accommodated my request. Otherwise, everything was fine.

    Today's visit was terrible. I waited an hour and a half and spoke with the doctor for only 30 seconds. My kidney stone was not treated at all. I will never return.

    I had never met this doctor before. He was one of the kindest people I have encountered. He was courteous and respectful. He examined me, developed a treatment plan, explained it, shook my hand, and asked me to return in two weeks. The entire initial visit took about 40 minutes, which was reasonable.

    Dr. P is excellent. He kept me free from pain and fully informed about the procedure. He even adjusted the surgical plan to expedite my operation. He is not only highly skilled but also a genuinely good person who showed real concern for my recovery.

    I have scheduled four appointments at this clinic, and this is the third time I have been told the doctor is fully booked and I need to reschedule, even though I already waited a month and a half for the appointment. I will not return to this clinic.

    Without question, this is the worst healthcare facility in the country. No one seems able to read medical records; poor communication between staff leads to unnecessary repeat testing; they refuse to see patients whose pain is above level 5; administrative staff pose as medical personnel; they completely refuse prescription refills; field staff are arrogant and rude; and they refuse to let patients see an actual doctor, instead assigning an overconfident nurse practitioner who turns a simple urinary tract infection into a month of suffering. It is also clear that revenue and profit matter more to them than patient health.

    I wish I could give zero stars. I transferred from another clinic after being treated unfairly. For context, I have had unpleasant experiences with female healthcare providers in the past and now feel uncomfortable and even afraid around them. After a terrible visit at my previous clinic, I raised my concerns with the manager. I had scheduled with a male doctor but was forced to see a female nurse practitioner who treated me very poorly. She said they always assigned patients whose conditions were ‘not serious’ to her. I had sepsis, nearly died, and underwent two surgeries, but apparently that was not serious. I told the manager that I did not feel safe with female providers, which was why I had specifically scheduled with a male doctor. I said it was insulting to be told my health problem was ‘not serious’ and then assigned to a nurse practitioner I had not scheduled with. They assured me that my chart would note that I only wanted to see the male doctor I had booked. The manager helped schedule me with Dr. Witten and assured me he was excellent. I was taken to a room to wait, and everything seemed normal. The doctor entered, followed by one woman and then another. I felt rushed into this small room, immediately gripped the chair arms, and asked what was happening and who they were. I was panicked and distressed. Dr. Witten spoke harshly to me, while the two women I did not know or want there stared at me intensely. He refused to review the test results my primary care doctor had ordered, as though they did not exist. He spoke to me in an extremely condescending tone, as if I were foolish, and simply said ‘his colleague was right’ without explanation or evidence. As I was leaving, I gathered the courage to ask who the two women were. One said she was taking notes, and the other was a student nurse practitioner. After the manager had emphasized that my request was documented in my chart, this felt like an outright refusal to provide even a basic accommodation. I called for weeks trying to speak with the manager, but no one ever answered. The entire experience left me deeply upset and humiliated. I can only hope my health problem improves soon, because I am certain I will never receive care from this facility again unless I am bedridden once more.

    I saw Dr. Witten for kidney stones, and he prescribed pain medication. Dr. Eifler later performed extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. The medication prescribed after surgery was on my allergy list. Since the procedure on Tuesday, I have been unable to get a different pain medication. I have now gone four days without pain relief, and every time I call, everyone passes responsibility to someone else, including the doctors. I do not recommend this clinic. I would rather go anywhere else than First Urology.

    Dr. Wheaton took excellent care of me, and Dr. Miles took excellent care of my wife. I highly recommend both doctors if you have kidney stones or a urinary condition.

    I have been a patient at 1st Urology for more than ten years, but the clinic has steadily declined over time. Every few years, I am transferred to a different doctor. Worse, they sent a March bill to collections when they could have collected the small amount at my last appointment in September. I urgently need another urology clinic!

    I've been waiting over a week for my testosterone prescription. All they have to do is call it in, that's it!!! The pharmacy has called 3 times this week and I've called 3 times myself. First Urology is the definition of GREED OVER CARE!! They can't even call in a prescription but they will call you 100 times for a 50 dollar bill. What a joke!!

    I’ve never been able to get ahold of this office via their numbers listed online, leaving voice mails with call back numbers, or using the contact form they have on their website. The one time I managed to speak with them, someone apologized about their new phone system, sent me to another voice mailbox, and I still never received a call back.

    Last week I went to the emergency room with nausea, abdominal pain, and back pain. After several tests and a CT scan, a kidney stone was suspected. I was admitted for a day and saw a doctor from First Urology before discharge. The doctor advised waiting to see whether the stone would pass without intervention, but had no availability for three weeks. Two days after returning home, I called the office about pain medication. The doctor was away, and a nurse practitioner prescribed two days’ worth. After taking it for five days, I called for a refill and was told to take Tylenol. Perhaps the nurse practitioner needs a kidney stone herself to understand how severe the pain is. I will explain my condition fully to the doctor at my appointment, but if you have a choice, I recommend finding a more caring and compassionate urology team. I understand the need to limit and control pain-medication misuse, but they have online systems and medical records that show when someone is abusing medication. I have no such history.

    I am truly at a loss. I have seen Dr. Kasha for several years. We have tried everything, from a Medtronic device and bladder distention to every prescription medication imaginable and medication placed directly into my bladder, but my condition has not improved at all. Even worse, for the past year I have vomited whenever I cannot get to a bathroom immediately. Most nights I cannot sleep. I keep hearing that this is typical interstitial cystitis, but I know something else must be wrong. I gave this clinic one star because sometimes I can reach staff for help and they pass a message to Dr. Kasha, but other times I am completely ignored. Once, my urine culture was positive and he prescribed medication, but his staff told me it was negative and had me come to the clinic anyway... My condition was unchanged. When I arrived, Dr. Kasha seemed to think I simply did not want to take the medication he prescribed. Is this staff and this dismissive behavior a joke? Over the past week, I have called 10 times trying to reach someone because one of my prescriptions needs to be filled. I left a message early last week and still have not received a response. Tomorrow morning I am having an MRI to check for kidney stones. Strange as it sounds, I hope they find one because something is clearly wrong, and I need to identify the cause before it can be treated. I went to buy a few things just now and vomited inside Target. I am 45 and spend most of my time in bed because I am constantly discouraged and uncomfortable from my bladder problems. The way patients are sometimes treated is simply unfair and unbelievable. I am ill and only want help. The pain I have endured is unbearable, and we must find a solution. I absolutely do not believe Dr. Kasha has mistreated or ignored me. I just think he sometimes does not know what to do because my case is so complicated and we have tried everything. But when messages do not reach him, I am left sitting in pain, and that does not help. I cannot describe how many important events, workdays, and other things I have missed because of this condition. This cannot continue. Urology team, please get it together—patients must come first!

    The doctors are wonderful! My husband's doctors are Dr. Malone and Dr. Kasha, and both are excellent. However, the phone service is poor. You call the main office, request a callback, and wait hours. When they call back and you explain the issue, you are transferred and disconnected, or sent to a voicemail box with no greeting. Very frustrating.

    The first appointment went fairly well. My father had a follow-up scheduled but was too ill to attend that day. I called the Dupont office to cancel and reschedule and was placed on hold. I decided to see how long it would take them to answer; after one hour and five minutes, I was offered a callback option. I left my number but never heard back. It appears I will have to visit the office in person to schedule for my father.

    Great staff, but the office is poorly managed. Phone waits are always long. After 15 minutes, a message says you can leave a callback number. Why not offer that at the beginning? They finally called back an hour later.

    This is the worst place a prostate cancer patient can go! Go to James Brown Cancer Center for fast results. Dr. Silvia and Dr. Kumar are excellent at Brown Cancer Center.

    Especially in the face of all the racism and hate, I encourage Black women to find another provider who not only looks like you but also cares about you. I am tired of this doctor's office sending an overweight white woman into the room to speak rudely to me. She has almost no interpersonal skills and should work with hungry wild boars. Today's experience was terrible. I noticed this office spent 30 minutes or more with nonminority patients but less than 10 minutes with me, an African American woman. I advise Black and brown people to find other providers. Do not go here! Also, this place is dirty!

    In 4 months, I saw the doctor only once, and that was for a test he had to perform. It took 4 months to get any answer about my problem, and then he suggested a procedure before he knew whether it would work because no further studies had been done. It is very difficult to schedule an appointment, and no one calls back when they say they will. Do not waste your money going there. You will not get answers, only the runaround.

    A great experience all around. The only frustrating part of preparing for my vasectomy was how long my insurance company took to send the required information. The staff who spoke with the insurance representatives and scheduler did an excellent job. The front-desk staff and nurses were very friendly and welcoming at every visit. I felt I had all the information needed before and during the procedure, including what to expect each day and the daily care required after the vasectomy. Dr. Smith was wonderful, listened to my concerns, and repeatedly checked my comfort during the procedure. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a vasectomy.

    I had a very positive experience at First Urology. All the nurses and staff were friendly, kind, and professional. I really liked Dr. Schrepferman! He sat with me and explained the plan for addressing my problem. I highly recommend First Urology! Excellent patient care and service!

    This practice does not care about your time. When I have a 10:30 appointment, I expect it to happen around that time, not at 11:30 or 12:30. They overbook patients and waste your time. Once you are examined, if your doctor even examines you, they seem eager to prescribe medication rather than suggest alternatives. They seem uninterested in your concerns and appear to rush you out. They also often bring in observers, presumably students, to watch you as though you were a laboratory animal. This is a very personal situation, and bringing in observers makes the experience even more uncomfortable. I will not return because I did not feel like a patient, only a number in their profit margin.

    I have never been in a building with so many incompetent people. Everything here is always an absolute nightmare and headache. They never call you back. Trying to reach anyone is maddening. Even when you politely explain your situation to the staff and tell them that you are having problems and cannot contact your 'medical professional,' people are rude. There are reasons they are rated 2 stars. Personally, I think that is too high. Most of the higher ratings are older, from before this place clearly changed.

    I would truly prefer to leave 0 stars. This place does not respect appointment times. I am not sure what the point of setting appointments is if they do not honor them. I had to bring a family member for an ultrasound at 8 a.m. At 8:30, I went to the front desk and asked how much longer it would be since our appointment had been 30 minutes earlier. The staff responded very rudely and in an obnoxious tone, 'Honey, you should be next.' Well, now it is nearly 8:45. It is already 45 minutes past our appointment, and they still do not know. This is absolutely ridiculous.

    The most incompetent doctor's office I have ever encountered. They have a monopoly, so they enjoy belittling people and treating them like dirt. You cannot reach them by phone; it takes hours and multiple attempts to get someone to answer, and they do not return calls. The doctors are wonderful when the office reminds them to renew their medical licenses. My goodness.

    Like many other reviewers, I am posting this from the waiting room nearly an hour after my appointment was scheduled to begin. After 30 minutes, I was told there were still 5 people ahead of us and they did not know how much longer the wait would be. They also did not know how long the procedure usually takes. I was told Dr. Smith typically runs behind, but based on the reviews, this is how the entire clinic operates. It is unfortunate that they have such a monopoly in this city because this is unacceptable and clearly a persistent problem they have no interest in addressing. It might be faster to travel out of state for an appointment than to wait here.
