Dr. Sun is amazing. She listened carefully, never rushed me, and is genuinely helping me. She is also exceptionally kind, and I am very grateful. I have seen many OB-GYNs, and she is by far the best. During IVF, I also saw Brittany, Dr. Rowan, and Holly, and they all exceeded my expectations. I now need a new doctor after an emergency hysterectomy, and she is absolutely the best, I swear.

This is one of the worst fertility clinics I have visited. They only want to perform intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF). I had a uterine abnormality requiring surgical correction, but they were neither able to address it nor willing to recommend that I leave the clinic. They only told me it would definitely work. Three years later, I had nothing. If you want a doctor who will listen, thoroughly investigate your condition, and solve the problem, do not go to this clinic. Their medical staff were extremely rude during my miscarriage.

0/5 stars. My wife and I were eager to begin our path to parenthood, so I overlooked some warning signs, but over time I could not believe how bad things became. At our first visit, a counselor discussed general options and procedures. When Dr. Meter entered the room while my wife and I were masked, his first words were, “Haven’t I gotten you pregnant before?” This continued because he never seemed to know why I had an appointment or understand our situation. During a transvaginal ultrasound, he asked why I was there. He once entered, pointed at me in front of my wife, and said, “We’re doing timed intercourse, right?” After my hysterosalpingogram (HSG), he said he “thought” I might have a cyst, or it “might be nothing, might be something, or might just be a blister,” but never clarified what he saw or what it meant. He then aggressively pushed some type of exploratory surgery. Without knowing why or receiving an explanation, I was very uncomfortable with surgery and asked whether we could try another cycle or IUI first. He said yes, but that after two more unsuccessful IUIs we should seriously consider surgery. At the ultrasound before IUI, he asked why I was there and why I had not scheduled surgery. He then said for three consecutive days that we could not proceed with IUI because he saw no follicles. I stopped seeing him and found a new doctor. My new specialist repeated the hysterosalpingogram and clarified that my fibroid was outside the uterus, absolutely did not require surgery, and that surgery could be more harmful by causing uterine growth problems during pregnancy. I coordinated with the clinic to send my sperm to my new clinic and explained what was needed. The day before collection, they called about fees that had never been disclosed. I do not trust this clinic. Although Dr. Meter has recently retired, my interactions with the staff were unpleasant. The nurses were cold and seemed uncomfortable during visits. Fees should be disclosed in advance, not at the last minute. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I know there are few local options, but I would definitely look elsewhere. As a lesbian trying to conceive, and simply as a woman, I felt extremely uncomfortable.

I do not understand why Dr. Meter has so many negative reviews. My wife and I have three daughters because of Dr. Meter and his treatment. He may be a little different, but when needed, he would sit with us for 30 minutes to discuss treatment options. I did not care about his manner as long as he did not offend my wife and could help us have children. The Pittsburgh area’s supposed “best” infertility doctor could not help my wife, nor could two others. Dr. Meter helped us have children, and I will always be grateful. I think many negative reviews come from people who dislike hearing the truth, are overly sensitive, and take things too personally. Dr. Meter is often very direct. I remember one examination he had to perform on my wife in a hospital setting, which can make women extremely uncomfortable or even faint. His primary concern throughout was her well-being, and he instructed her to tell him immediately if she felt unwell. One or two nurses seemed dismissive of men, but I have often seen that in reproductive and maternity care, so it was not surprising. Overall, I think Dr. Meter is wonderful. He helped us have children when no one else could.

My husband and I had our first appointment last Friday, and we absolutely loved our nurse practitioner, Holly. Her personality was a perfect match for mine. She was thorough, thoughtful, and always focused on the best outcome. She gave us several options and let us choose what felt most comfortable. We agreed with everything she recommended. Before the appointment I was terrified and shaking; afterward I felt much more relaxed. She calmed me and made me feel like a person, not just a number. I have already highly recommended them!

In 2023, I needed methotrexate injections for an ectopic pregnancy. I saw Dr. Meter, who was very rude and showed no compassion. A kind young nurse in the room asked me several questions, and when I answered her, he yelled that I should speak to him, not his nurse, because he was the doctor. I swore I would never return after the way he treated me… Fast-forward to now: I have been returning for fertility treatment and met the absolutely amazing Dr. Rowan. Today I had an HSG with Dr. Rowan and Dr. Holly Beck; I recommend them and nurse Misty 10/10… I have a very low pain tolerance, and the test was not nearly as bad as the horror stories I had read. The speculum was the worst part. The test took under 5 minutes. I would do it again if necessary!
