Hello, I am a surrogate. My first two transfers failed, and the protocol never changed until my doctor performed an NK-cell biopsy that showed very high NK-cell levels. I did some research and found Dr. Tony Tsai. I asked the clinic to refer me to him to try intralipids, and they gladly did because this was our final embryo-transfer attempt. The clinic added steroids, estrogen, and progesterone injections, but I truly believe the intralipids, also called a ‘milkshake,’ were the most important part of my treatment. My body had been rejecting the embryo because it came from someone else's egg and sperm and was foreign to me. Although Dr. Tsai was unsure about my outcome given my two previous failed transfers, I entered his office hopeful and optimistic. Dr. Tsai was very honest, and I followed his instructions exactly. I want to share my very positive experience at New York Fertility Center. I recently underwent IVF with two talented physicians, Dr. Tsai and Dr. Feng. For years, we dreamed of having our own family and experienced many disappointments along the way. However, when we learned about New York Fertility Center and these professionals, our confidence in that dream was renewed. We immediately understood that this was a trustworthy place with knowledge and experience we could rely on. At the first consultation, Dr. Tsai made sexist and racist comments and jokes and repeatedly pressured me to undergo IVF without taking time to understand my or my partner's medical history and laboratory results. He immediately brought a financial staff member into the consultation and asked me to pay despite having no evidence that I needed IVF. His team told me he would first order tests and then determine the correct treatment plan, but he flatly refused to order laboratory work and insisted that I decide for myself whether to undergo IVF. Nothing he said was evidence-based; it was motivated only by greed. They asked for my partner's history and laboratory results, which I sent, but two months passed without any response. If they cannot immediately extract $10,000 from you, they will not answer emails. Avoid them at all costs. IVF is useless if the underlying cause of infertility is not addressed, so there is no point undergoing it. This is why many people miscarry after IVF. Fortunately, I have now found a wonderful doctor who approaches the problem very differently, without greed or ignorance.
