The front desk staff are not only rude but do not even acknowledge you when you arrive. I liked my doctor, but after about 2 tests she diagnosed me with unexplained infertility. I requested more testing, but they refused and said it was unnecessary. Everything I wanted to try was dismissed. If I am paying and want answers, what harm could it do? I completed countless rounds of Clomid and Letrozole. I could barely tolerate Letrozole because it made me so ill. They refused to prescribe Zofran, telling me to get it from my GP, and dismissed the possibility that Letrozole was responsible even though it was the only change. I was told we could continue with medication alone and that I would not have to undergo IUI if I did not want to. Then I was told my chart said not to prescribe any more medication. This is a business. They want the revenue from IUI and IVF and try to push patients in that direction. I was with them for 2 years and have now been trying for almost 5. I have given up trying to have a family. I thought this facility gave me hope, but it caused more harm than good.

A very disappointing experience. My husband and I completed all the required testing here, with only the hysterosalpingogram (HSG) remaining. Unfortunately, they kept postponing the procedure to the next cycle without any clear plan or commitment. I was repeatedly told to wait until the next cycle, with each delay adding at least another month. This is unacceptable, especially for someone actively trying to conceive. It feels as though they do not respect patients' time or urgency. I will go to another clinic. If time is a concern, I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic.

This clinic is extremely disappointing. They repeatedly delayed my hysterosalpingogram, wasting an enormous amount of my time. Each time, they made me wait until the next cycle, showing no urgency or genuine desire to help. My husband and I completed all our testing here and paid in full, but at the final step, they completely failed us. I am 37 and have had an ectopic pregnancy. I do not have time to be treated this way. This clinic does not respect patients' time, urgency, or feelings. I will go elsewhere.

If you have or suspect endometriosis, do not go to this clinic!! My wife and I both received care here. They completely disregarded my wife's endometriosis because their IVF cycles follow a standard script rather than being tailored to each patient. This meant continuing hormone therapy, which accelerated the growth of the endometriosis and caused irreversible harm. Treat your endometriosis first. We paid more than $20,000 for one IVF cycle with no result. Go to Ingenes in Mexico, where up to three complete IVF cycles cost half as much and treatment is tailored to each patient rather than one-size-fits-all. We had a daughter at Ingenes Monterrey, but because the University of Oklahoma failed to identify or recommend treatment for endometriosis, we can no longer have children. Save your money and seek your miracle elsewhere. These people only want your money and your data for their research. They see you not as a patient, but as a laboratory test subject.

I have been there several times and finally confirmed it today. Excellent, attentive service!

I keep calling, but no one answers. The listed number does not work at all.

Yes, the front desk staff is terrible. No one answers the appointment line, and if someone does, you had better get the information you need quickly. A woman answered my call and sounded as though she hated her life. She asked for my information, which I provided, but she could not find my order and asked, “When was the order submitted?” I said a week ago. She sighed, hung up, and never answered my calls again. A very rude team. I do not understand why their hiring standards are so low.

I have been coming here for several months, and I was surprised to see reviews saying that children are not allowed at appointments. For HSG testing, no one else is allowed because radiation is used. I once had to bring my daughter to a basic ultrasound and called to confirm that it was permitted. They said I could bring her, and everyone was very kind to her. I have also seen other children in the waiting room. The nurses who draw my blood are always very gentle. The women who performed my HSG were very reassuring and explained the entire process in detail because they knew how nervous I was. I always feel welcome and heard here. I would recommend OU to anyone seeking fertility advice or experiencing problems!

Their doctors are wonderful. The billing department is a nightmare. Many bills are incorrect. My sample was stored at another facility, yet I received a $1,500 storage bill.

I never leave reviews, but I am sharing my experience in hopes that others see it and get the help they need! I live in Lawton, Oklahoma, and travel to Oklahoma City specifically for their care. Over the past four years, I saw countless doctors while trying to conceive, but every one dismissed me as ‘too young’ or said I was ‘fine.’ I finally reached my breaking point and was willing to drive an hour and a half for care. They listened to me and quickly ruled out every possible concern. Within a month, I had many answers. They genuinely care about you. Once my issues were ruled out, they included my husband and quickly began his treatment. As soon as they determined he might have a problem, they promptly referred him to an oncologist. At the first visit, the oncologist found the issue, prescribed medication, and scheduled surgery. Your reproductive care is truly excellent! Honestly, when the time is right, I plan to use you for obstetric care because you treated us so well. I cannot wait to call and say that we finally succeeded!

We had a terrible experience with Dr. Anna. She did not understand the report she asked us to obtain, and when the results arrived, she did not know about them or understand them. I feel that they use students as interns. This field requires experienced doctors, but she seemed to know nothing about it. I do not recommend her, and when scheduling, be sure to ask about their experience because they treat students as doctors. Be very careful...

Dr. Reynolds and her team are amazing. She is highly skilled and genuinely cares about her patients. They communicate promptly and always answer all my questions. Her team takes care of everything for you!

I am sorry to see that others had poor experiences here, but my time at OU was absolutely wonderful. I primarily saw Dr. Burks. She is very direct, which may not suit everyone's personality, as I have read in other reviews, but she is knowledgeable and patient. Whenever I had concerns, she and her team responded quickly through the patient portal and were thoughtful and encouraging, making them feel like an excellent support system, often after normal appointment hours. During various monitoring visits, I also saw Dr. Evans, Dr. Craig, and Dr. Frazier, and completed my transfer with Dr. Reynolds. Everyone was incredible. I was sad to ‘graduate’ because I received exceptional, compassionate care here as a patient. I drove more than 4 hours each way for these appointments and would do it again without hesitation.

It took me two years to write this review. All I can really say is thank you. OU Fertility helped me become pregnant without IVF, which others had recommended. Yes, every medical office has issues, but ultimately they were professional and clearly communicated what to expect.

I wish I had read some of these reviews before getting excited about my referral. My first appointment was virtual with Taryn and was wonderful, 10/10. My second visit was in person. One doctor was scheduled on my account, but a different doctor was there. That was not a major issue, but I felt as though I was interrupting their day. It was a uterine ultrasound, and no information was provided. The doctor was brief when I asked follow-up questions. As I left, the front desk repeatedly asked whether my insurance covered treatment. I repeatedly said yes, but they were convinced it did not. I was then told to schedule an HSG, which can only be scheduled on the first day of your cycle. Before agreeing, I asked whether appointments would be available when I knew I would need childcare, and they confirmed they would. Unsurprisingly, that was not true. My cycle is short, so the first appointment was scheduled in the middle of my fertile window. The second time, it was still during that window but at the beginning, so I kept it. These appointments are only offered in the afternoon, and surprisingly, no one else was in the room. I arrived and was told to reschedule because my daughter was with me. Like other reviews say, their scheduling is difficult for families without support beyond the parents. Note: they will not let you schedule in advance so you can arrange childcare. These expectations are unrealistic, though standard in healthcare. I chose to take my chances with nature in my fertility journey because this clinic seemed likely to add stress with little support.

I guess you have to make an appointment in person! Do not bother calling. You will wait more than 15 minutes, and when someone finally answers, they hang up on you!

I have been very happy since I started seeing Dr. Evans at OU. He is compassionate but direct, which is very helpful when you are anxious and overthinking, and he is honest about everything: the process, areas for improvement, and the chances of success. I also recently had an HSG with PA Buery, who was excellent. It is certainly not the most comfortable procedure, but she and the nurse were patient, supportive, and compassionate throughout. I have had no problems with the front desk staff or nurses. I am glad to continue this journey with this medical team!

The staff are wonderful and professional. It took 6-8 months to diagnose the problem, followed by another 3-6 months of treatment. Then, after 3-6 months of treatment and IVF injections, I was told to stop because I was not responding. There was a lot of false hope. It was simply a long process lasting more than two years, full of difficulties and hope but ultimately frustrating. Many appointments, endless tests, hormone treatments that take a toll, and no results. It also cost a great deal of money. The nonstop bills made no sense. Very disappointed.

Some reviews made me a little nervous, but I had a very pleasant experience. The front desk team, doctors, and nurses were all wonderful. Very professional, communicative, supportive, and informative. Highly recommended.

Two stars because the staff were kind. I was charged more than $200 for a 15-minute virtual conversation. Then the after-visit summary was filled with incorrect information and distorted wording. I called Oklahoma Fertility Center that same day. I would recommend Oklahoma City's fertility clinic over OU any day.

2025 update: OU now uses MyChart for all communications. This process is extremely time-sensitive, and patient communication suffers when nurses respond through the portal only when they have time. I almost missed the opportunity to begin another FET because it took a week to receive a nurse's reply. 2023 update: I returned this year for a frozen embryo transfer (FET). The staff were as excellent as they were in 2020, and some were even still there. I always received clear communication and prompt return calls from the nurses when needed. Once I called the emergency line and received a return call about 45 minutes later. I chose Dr. Hansen again. He was excellent this time too, although I am not someone who needs a doctor to coddle me. I just had my final ultrasound. I am due in April. I think many people are understandably very sensitive during this difficult experience and feel they do not receive enough compassion. Personally, I appreciate a balance of compassion and efficiency. Original review We had a good experience at OU, even during Covid-19. I will not say it was easy. It would have been difficult in a normal year, but everyone I worked with was compassionate and understanding while also being efficient. I rarely waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting area and waited even less in the exam room. Dr. Hansen was wonderful. For me, he struck exactly the right balance between professionalism and reassurance. Because this is a teaching institution, I often had to see other doctors and allow students to observe several procedures, but that was fine with me if it helped me become pregnant. I completed two consecutive IVF cycles in 2020, and I am glad I chose OU because I now have healthy twins and frozen embryos for the future. If you are in this difficult situation, I highly recommend OU Infertility.
