    我从未遇到过在这里工作的人不是天使。
    Apr 30, 2026
I went for an ultrasound but entered through the wrong entrance and took the wrong elevator before staff finally gave me directions. When I reached the 4th floor, no one was at the front desk, so I went back downstairs. At 1:15 p.m., I spoke with a woman wearing glasses at desk 4. She called the ultrasound department to ask whether they could still see me, and thankfully they agreed. Before telling me this, however, she lectured me about arriving on time. I had arrived at 1:05 and had already explained that I had never been there before and got lost, but she remained condescending. Thank you, but I will never return to this MetroHealth facility.

I went to the hospital to have my kidneys checked as instructed because I was having difficulty urinating. A nurse inserted a catheter, and the pain made me shake. I spent five days at the Glick Center and heard the words ‘kidney failure’ three times. My only brother died from kidney cancer, so I thought I might die like he did. They wanted me to keep the catheter in for three weeks under the care of a nurse practitioner across from the Glick Center. It was one of the hardest periods of my life. When the catheter was finally removed, the nurse insisted that I insert catheter rods into my urethra. I asked whether I could first try using the toilet at home, but she insisted on using those unpleasant rods. At home, I drank 96 ounces of water and prayed. It worked, and I now urinate much better than before. I sought a second opinion at University Hospitals and learned that I had had a urinary tract infection all along. I now need pads because a nurse at Parma Hospital injured me. While the catheter was in, there was blood and skin debris in my urine. This was the worst experience of my life. I thought I was going to die. I will never return to Parma Hospital.

Honestly, I am frustrated because MetroHealth has a system for recognizing transgender patients' names, but it does not seem to be followed properly. For example, when I give my friend's name and she happens to be transgender, MetroHealth employees seem to ignore the name in parentheses. Once, while helping my friend move her wheelchair, I gave her full name and an unfriendly employee asked, ‘What is her name?’ This suggests that the emergency department employee either did not see the name in parentheses or deliberately ignored it. Please do better.

    Excellent doctors and staff!

I often have headaches across my forehead and eyes. When I went to the emergency room, the doctor said the pain was in the wrong location to be a migraine and that I was wasting their time.

I came here for a second opinion about an ultrasound at 10 weeks of pregnancy. They refused to perform an ultrasound or draw blood. I had to take time off work in advance, yet nothing was done. The OB-GYN I saw was Tracy Hardy. She yelled at my family member for sitting in ‘her chair’ while waiting, even though it was the only chair in the room. I explained my situation and said I was seeking a second opinion. She did not listen and simply followed what the first clinic had said. She glared at me and asked, ‘What do you want me to do?’ I said I wanted another test, and she told me to schedule another appointment. Her attitude was poor; she treated me as though I was bothering her and did not take me seriously as a patient. However, Nurse Melinda James was excellent and helped me greatly. I will never return to this clinic and recommend that others avoid it as well.

Emergency department physician assistant Deenah Byramjee was extremely unprofessional, poorly informed, rude, and completely lacking in compassion. Her manner and tone were condescending. She refused to listen to questions or concerns and flatly refused to perform any testing. She simply said, “I guess so,” and claimed the emergency department would not test this “non-emergency” condition without ruling out any emergency. She performed no actual palpation or examination, heard only what she wanted to hear, and dismissed everything contemptuously. She makes you feel worse, not better. A clinician like her should not be allowed to interact with patients. Do not expect help from this emergency department; you will only encounter unwilling, unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude staff.

    Very clean, with attentive staff.

If you need to see a doctor, this is a good choice. Everyone here is friendly. Their pharmacy is excellent too!

I have a good experience every time I visit. The front desk staff are always friendly, as are all my doctors' nurses. I like all my doctors; they care about me and help me find solutions to my problems. It is close to my home and convenient for appointments and prescriptions. Everything can be done here!

I am an impatient patient, so I greatly appreciate their service. Metro Hospital is wonderful! Thank you to the entire team, especially the staff on the third floor. Wishing you all the best!

This place is unprofessional, disorganized, poorly communicative, rude, and appalling. The woman at the front desk did not check us in, so we waited an hour and a half. They asked us to arrive 15 minutes early, and I arrived 30 minutes early. A nurse named Karla was awful and had a terrible attitude, even though compassion should be expected in this field. She may have been upset about working outside her usual area. I never want to return and would rather wait months to go elsewhere. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but they said no one knew who I could speak with. You need to get yourselves together; our insurance and copays pay your bills.

Many patients appreciate the convenience of having multiple specialties in one place, from physical therapy and laboratory testing to colon cancer screening. Hours vary by department, so it is best to check ahead. Overall, if you have a scheduled appointment or laboratory test, you will likely receive efficient, attentive service. If you are going to the emergency department, however, be prepared for inconsistent service; some staff are excellent, while others need retraining. MetroHealth Parma is not perfect, but at its best, it is very good. It felt relaxing.

As a senior, I feel medically safe, which is important.

I saw Dr. R. Dykes in general surgery. She was highly skilled, thoughtful, kind, and explained everything very clearly, as did her assistant. I really like this MetroHealth Parma facility; the staff and doctors are excellent.

Whenever possible, I always choose to receive care here. I have visited many times and never had any problems. My girlfriend and I have also used the emergency room several times. The waits are never very long, although they always run behind schedule.
    Oct 11, 2025
The facility was empty with no other patients, yet I waited over an hour for discharge. On top of that, they could not help with my pain and simply sent me home.

I went to the emergency room today on an outpatient clinic's recommendation. I rarely seek medical help, but I was told I needed follow-up care in the ER. More than seven hours passed with no progress and no interaction with a doctor. The experience was absolutely terrible!!! The ancillary departments were great! The actual level of care was zero; it was obvious the doctors did not care! Terrible experience. I still feel unwell 😔, but I will not seek further treatment because no one is available!

The emergency room is undoubtedly frightening. But I had no insurance, and they suggested that I enroll in a discount program, which truly helped when I needed it. I will always be grateful that I could receive the care I needed.

If you are going for a pregnancy ultrasound, be sure to check in at the front desk. Online/app check-in does not work. My wife waited more than 30 minutes past her appointment, assuming they were running late, only to learn that their system does not accept online check-in even though the online instructions directed us to the fourth floor. The staff clearly knew about the issue, and I do not understand why they could not simply step outside and ask whether the patient was present. They then said we had exceeded the allowed wait time and had to reschedule. What an embarrassment.

These people do not address the root cause of illness at all. It seems as though they want the disease to keep circulating in your blood so they can gain another lifelong patient. I had been fighting a biofilm infection for eight weeks, and all they did was ask whether I knew what a biofilm was—as though it had not already completely ruined my life.

After waiting four hours with severe pain shooting through both legs, they told me to go home and take painkillers. There was no doctor, only a nurse.
    Jul 3, 2025
I was taken to the emergency room because dehydration caused other problems that required hospitalization. All the staff were wonderful, and I received excellent care. Better yet, the food was fantastic. If I ever need to be hospitalized again, I would gladly return.
    Feb 27, 2025
The lab staff were fast, courteous, and efficient. They collect payment for services at check-in, but they cannot make change if you pay cash. You need the exact amount. They prefer people to pay by credit card because that is what most people use. They should change their policy to accept credit cards only and post a sign saying, “Credit cards only.”

Fast, friendly, clean, seemingly well equipped, and the nurses were wonderful.

No other hospital has ever treated me this well. I will never go anywhere else.

Smh, I was ignored for 4 hours.

The nurse infiltrated my IV without noticing and continued administering medication after I said something was wrong. I just left the emergency room and have never experienced such unwelcoming behavior. Then I read my aftercare summary, and the doctor lied...

They always take good care of me, ensure I understand, welcome questions, and go out of their way to find answers. I am grateful.

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I would rather drive downtown through a blizzard and rush-hour traffic than sit in this rude, unsanitary, disorganized hospital. One poor man was returned to the waiting room after being found ‘waiting to be taken to a room.’ He sat in a wheelchair in pain, in the middle of the hallway directly in front of the seating area and reception, completely forgotten for 2 hours! Staff merely offered a sorry excuse for forgetting him. The waiting area was dirty, sanitation stations were not stocked, and after 4.5 hours from admission and vital signs, I saw many, if not all, incoming patients receive little support. The forgotten man still had not been called back. Absolutely awful. I hope changes are made before someone truly suffers at this hospital.

My client had a seizure here during a blood test. They took her to the emergency room, where she was still waiting 4 hours later. Ridiculous! Most people in the waiting room were coughing with colds or flu. Why is no one cleaning the waiting room? A cold or flu is not an emergency! Stay home and take Tylenol. Is the emergency room not for heart attacks, broken bones, or major health crises?
