UNCF has been truly amazing in all that they have done for me and my family. From my first appointment with Dr. Brayboy to graduating from the clinic with Dr. Milroy, my experience at UNCF has been nothing short of incredible. Reception always greets patients with a welcoming smile, and every staff member treats you with unmatched compassion. Special shout-out to my care team: Dr. Brayboy, Dr. Milroy, Dr. Bielak, Anna, NP, and Michelle, RN. These women are so intelligent and passionate about what they do. We cannot wait to tell our sweet child about the incredible people at UNCF who made our dream of becoming parents possible. There is no "thank you" big enough for what everyone at UNCF does every single day. I would highly recommend UNCF to anyone who will listen. In all my years of battling infertility, I have never met a team so passionate and determined.

Dr. Milroy and the entire staff at UNC Fertility did an outstanding job. They made the path to parenthood feel less daunting and created a care environment that truly reflected compassion, experience, and empathy. We are extremely grateful to the leadership at UNC Fertility for helping us build our family.

Please stay far away from this clinic. A few years ago, we underwent an IVF cycle at UNC Fertility, and the team of doctors and administrators left us deeply disappointed and confused. That team eventually dissolved, and all the doctors resigned. The new team, including the staff, nurses, and doctors, is no better. It does not matter which doctor you speak with initially because you will never see that doctor again, not even on the day of your embryo transfer. The clinic staff are also extremely aggressive and defensive toward patients. Our experience was highly unprofessional. On the morning of our embryo transfer, we were locked outside the clinic for nearly an hour, which caused the transfer to fail. The nurse who locked us out faced no consequences. Unsurprisingly, the transfer failed. Thankfully, we did not give up and switched to another fertility clinic. We are now in the second trimester and expect to welcome a healthy son next January. If you want a good outcome, do not choose this clinic. UNC Fertility is not a safe, healthy, or professional healthcare facility.

We found Dr. Milroy at UNC Fertility, and she and her team made an excellent impression. She successfully transferred our last frozen embryo. Her care team was helpful and responsive throughout. We highly recommend Dr. Milroy and UNC Fertility to anyone experiencing infertility.

We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Colleen Milroy and her outstanding team at UNC Fertility. From Nurse Anna DeGolier and reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist Dr. Beliak to our wonderful RN/IVF coordinator Michelle, everyone made us feel supported, cared for, and hopeful throughout our journey to parenthood. Their compassion, expertise, and encouragement made this emotional process manageable. We highly recommend this team!

My experience at this clinic has consistently been disappointing. Appointments are almost always delayed, whether in the morning or afternoon. I often wait 20–25 minutes past my scheduled time to see a doctor. Communication is also a major problem. My calls are rarely answered and voicemail messages are seldom returned, making it difficult to receive timely help or answers when needed. I tried the clinic’s online platform, but 24 hours passed without a response. Continuity of care has also been frustrating. I have seen four different doctors without any prior notice or communication. I usually learn who my doctor is only from the calendar in the patient portal, which makes it difficult to build trust or feel confident in a consistent treatment plan. The clinic’s lack of scheduling flexibility is especially frustrating. When I need to adjust an appointment around my work schedule, they always refuse because ‘I must see the same doctor’... yet they frequently change my doctor without notice. I also feel that we have never identified the underlying cause. They seem focused on prescribing medications such as letrozole or clomiphene and hoping for the best, with little explanation or guidance on how I can better support treatment. Overall, the poor communication, inconsistency, limited patient-provider discussion, and lack of respect for patients’ time have made this experience extremely disappointing. I chose UNC Health over clinics such as Shady Grove only because of insurance coverage, but I am now close to paying out of pocket because I am so disappointed and have not achieved the result I wanted, although this is only my fourth cycle. I am giving two stars because they scheduled my initial consultation quickly. I previously had positive experiences with Drs. Cowles, DeGolier, and Razai.

I got pregnant on my second iui cycle with Meghan Cowles right by my side. She seemed like she cared a lot, answered all my questions, she made my partner feel welcomed in this process and she tried very hard to help ease my anxiety throughout. She was very knowledgeable not once did I feel like I was a number to her. That being said, whoever I had after her was colder, and didnt seem as though she wanted to be there. The front desk staff was always nice but I will say, they were impossible to get a hold of most of the time. Im leaving them with 5 stars because even with all the stress, uncertainty, and select staff issues they still helped me to have the most perfect and amazing gift I could have ever ask for. Thank you UNC Fertility (Meghan Cowles especially) for helping my family.

My experience here was wonderful and far exceeded my expectations. Dr. Pehl and his team made sure I felt comfortable with every decision during my two IVF cycles. Brianna was warm and reassuring, and I always felt well cared for. The entire team truly goes above and beyond to provide personalized care. I would recommend them to anyone considering IVF.

I highly recommend fertility treatment at UNC Fertility! Every doctor and nurse I met was understanding, thoughtful, and genuinely wanted to help. The nurses responded quickly through the portal, scheduled appointments promptly, and were considerate of the long distance I had to travel. We were fortunate to welcome our miracle baby there!

My husband and I came here several years ago. I have endometriosis, he had a low sperm count, and we had experienced many miscarriages. We came for more answers but were told we would never have children. The male doctor treating him recommended freezing his sperm and said IVF was our only way to become pregnant. My husband left the office crying. Fast-forward: We have a 3-year-old child who was conceived naturally. This doctor was unkind and rude to me. No one can definitively say, “You will never have children.” We continued praying for a child despite many losses, trials, and pain. She came, despite his low sperm count and my severe endometriosis and adenomyosis. There are many others like me. Do not always treat a doctor’s words as a definitive answer. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Thanks to North Carolina Fertility Center, I am expecting my first child. My journey here was wonderful. I saw Anna DeGolier, who was very kind and knowledgeable. All the staff were excellent. Communication was smooth and responses were quick. I highly recommend North Carolina Fertility Center.

We were very pleased with our experience here. Dr. Pier and nurse Brianna were excellent, as were all the nurses and clinical staff. The nurses responded to portal messages very quickly, exactly the support you need during such an uncertain time. I would recommend this clinic to anyone seeking IVF treatment. IVF can feel like an impossible mountain to climb, but this clinic made every step much easier. Thank you so much for your care and kindness.

I had an excellent experience at UNC Fertility. Fortunately, my fertility journey was not long, but Dr. Anna DeGolier was very kind and thoughtful throughout. I believe we conceived on our first attempt because of her understanding of my PCOS and her ability to provide the right treatment immediately. I would recommend this clinic to anyone with fertility concerns.
