    We sincerely thank the entire team for making our journey possible. From the first consultation through our successful delivery in December, every member of the clinic, including Dr. Park, treated us with genuine care and professional expertise.     I rarely write reviews, but I felt I should share my honest experience at SDFC in hopes of helping others, especially international patients from China like me. I underwent two embryo transfer cycles there in my early thirties. After both procedures, I experienced unusually prolonged abdominal pain far beyond what I expected, and neither cycle resulted in pregnancy. When I asked the doctor, I was told it was simply an issue with my egg quality and that my only option was to continue trying more cycles at SDFC. For a long time, I blamed myself, and it severely affected my confidence. The clinic has stylish interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a polished modern design. At first, this reassured me. Over time, however, I found that the impressive appearance did not match the quality of medical care I experienced. The operating room cleanliness seemed only average, and the doctors often appeared rushed, more like salespeople than attentive clinicians. They also work closely with several Chinese agencies that continually refer patients from China, making the entire process feel more like a commercial pipeline than patient-centered care. After two failed cycles, I sought a second opinion at another clinic. There, I met many Chinese women who had also experienced repeated failed cycles at SDFC. What truly caught my attention was that many of them became pregnant after changing clinics. I personally spoke with more than twenty women whose experiences were nearly identical. One woman had four unsuccessful egg retrievals at SDFC, then went to another clinic and ultimately obtained more than ten genetically normal embryos. I cannot prove anything scientifically, but when so many people report the same experience, it is difficult to ignore. If you are considering SDFC, I recommend doing thorough research and seeking opinions from clinics outside its partner network. Do not let attractive decor be the main factor in your decision. I wish someone had told me this sooner, and I hope my experience helps others avoid unnecessary pain.

    We did extensive research before choosing Dr. Park, and she stood out as the best choice. Now that our baby has been born, we are incredibly glad we chose her and her team. They are knowledgeable, highly skilled, genuine, and welcoming. The process was straightforward and the fees were reasonable. We could not have asked for more!

    We had our initial consultation here and had an excellent experience. From the moment we entered the clinic, everyone was warm, friendly, and professional. The doctor took time to explain everything thoroughly, answer our questions, and help us feel comfortable throughout the visit. We left feeling hopeful and confident, with a clear plan for the next stage of treatment, which meant a great deal to us.     We met with Dr. Flores in the Del Mar and she is heaven sent. Couldn’t be happier we found her. Not only if she incredibly intelligent about all things fertility, she specializes in endometriosis which I’ve been struggling with for years and never fully received a diagnosis. Her staff is also so warm and kind and the clinic is beautiful. Looking forward to working with them.

    I can’t say enough wonderful things about San Diego Fertility Center. From the very beginning, my partner and I (female–female couple pursuing IVF) felt truly welcomed, supported, and respected. Dr. Park has been incredible. From our first meeting, she was warm, informative, and made us feel completely accepted. She took the time to thoroughly explain every step of the process, and during my ultrasound, she walked me through everything she was seeing, which made me feel both comfortable and empowered. Having gone through 2 IVF cycles at a different clinic in 2023, I can honestly say the level of care and professionalism here is on a completely different level. A huge shoutout to our coordinator, Chloe. She is truly amazing. She is responsive, organized, and always on top of everything. As someone who likes quick answers and clear communication, I really appreciated how fast she got back to us and how she guided us every step of the way. She made the entire process feel seamless. We also had to transfer embryos and donor vials from our previous clinic, and the SDFC Transport Team handled everything flawlessly. Their coordination with us was excellent! Everyone was on the same page, and communication was smooth throughout. It genuinely felt like we were their only patients. Every staff member we encountered, from the front desk to the medical assistants, NPs, PAs, and nurses, was kind, professional, and reassuring. Whether it was blood work, ultrasounds, or procedures at the Mission Valley and Del Mar locations, we consistently felt cared for and at ease. My partner also had a wonderful experience during her IVF cycle. Everyone made her feel comfortable and supported during such an important and emotional process. The Lab Team was also fantastic! They kept us updated promptly with our embryo and egg results, which we truly appreciated. As someone who is very detail-oriented, I value organization, efficiency, and communication, and this clinic exceeded my expectations in every way. Appointments were on time, responses were quick, and the entire process felt incredibly well-coordinated. Not to compare clinics, but at my previous fertility center, I felt encouraged to write a Google review. This review, however, is something I truly wanted to write on my own because of how positive our experience has been here. Switching to San Diego Fertility Center was one of the best decisions we’ve made. I have absolutely no regrets and am so grateful for the exceptional care we’ve received.     I would never use this clinic for egg donation. At my first ultrasound, the technician could not find one ovary. She repeatedly asked whether I had it, and I assured her both were present because a scan months earlier had confirmed them. She was extremely rude and dismissive and told me to ask my OB-GYN why my ovary was missing. My OB-GYN was confused because it was present and correctly positioned. A month later, another technician found it immediately. They confirmed I had enough follicles to donate, so I continued. I spent hours completing forms and meeting doctors and staff. After being ignored for nearly two weeks, the donation agency emailed that I was ineligible because of a family history of breast cancer, which I had clearly disclosed in my initial application. They evidently failed to review my materials and wasted hours of my time on tests and appointments. Do not go here!!!

    I do not recommend SDFC to anyone seeking comprehensive fertility care. The doctor was pleasant during consultation, but they provide little information unless you begin treatment immediately. They prioritize profit rather than patient success. Their communication is cold, and patients are not allowed to ask questions. Other fertility clinics were shocked by how much laboratory information SDFC omitted from my results. At SDFC, you interact most with finance, which sends estimates and bills. Choose a clinic that truly cares and listens to your needs.

    I cannot praise San Diego Fertility Center, especially Dr. Wilson and her team, enough. Fertility treatment is emotional, vulnerable, and sometimes overwhelming, but they made it manageable and supported me throughout. From the beginning, I felt like more than a patient. Dr. Wilson listened, explained every detail, and ensured I understood and felt comfortable with every decision. I never felt rushed or dismissed, and every anxious question received a patient, kind answer. The human care moved me most.     If you are considering egg retrieval, do not go to this clinic. There are many better clinics in San Francisco and Los Angeles, some of which even offer a refund guarantee if your thawed eggs do not develop into healthy embryos. This clinic would not dare offer that because they simply are not capable of delivering it.

    Based on my own and my friend's experiences, I want to tell anyone whose IVF failed at this clinic: do not lose hope or become discouraged. Do not let the doctor make you feel guilty or tell you that you were unlucky or your body was not good enough. Switch to a better clinic, such as RSC or CCRM, and you will certainly get better results!

    Honestly, I was surprised that they postponed bloodwork after our first IVF cycle. We completed our first cycle two months ago and planned to let my wife rest for a few months before starting the second. This month, her period did not come—it has been 40 days—but the home pregnancy test was not clearly positive, so we requested and scheduled bloodwork. They later called to say our treatment was over and they could no longer perform the test. It felt as though we were no longer their patients.

Their dedication, extensive expertise, and genuine empathy made us feel understood, supported, and safe from the beginning. What truly distinguishes SDFC is that they accompany you throughout the entire process, addressing everything from financial questions to complex medical issues. At every stage, they were readily available to explain, reassure, and guide us. They also helped us build strong connections with other surrogacy partners, which allowed us to feel calm and confident throughout the process. When we visited in person for sperm donation, we received an exceptionally warm welcome. It felt less like entering a clinic and more like being welcomed by a team that genuinely cared about our story and future. Honestly, the journey was not always easy. At one point, we considered abandoning the entire treatment process, but SDFC was a key reason we continued. Their encouragement and support helped us overcome our doubts.     I had my egg retrieval yesterday at San Diego Fertility Center (SDFC), and I am still amazed by the entire team's outstanding performance. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel calm, reassured, and genuinely cared for. While waiting, I had pleasant conversations with everyone I met. The nurses were kind and attentive, the embryologist explained everything clearly and reassuringly, and the anesthesiologist had a wonderful personality that immediately put me at ease. And, of course, Dr. Flores was incredible. Her expertise, compassion, and confidence made all the difference, and I am extremely grateful to have been in her care.     Our journey began poorly because the first donor's results were not ideal. However, we are glad we stayed with this clinic. They were wonderful and very receptive to our feedback. We ultimately achieved the outcome we hoped for and credit much of our success to the clinic's professionalism and expertise.     I wish I could give SDFC 10 stars, but 5 is the maximum. Over the past three years, I completed two surrogacy journeys at the Del Mar office, and Dr. D and my nurse Tara were exceptional. Everyone at the embryo transfer center was also excellent—kind, considerate, and welcoming.

    Unprofessional and disappointing experience (September 9, 2025) We contacted San Diego Fertility Center about its surrogacy program and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Susana Park. She did not attend at the agreed time, saying she was running late. We agreed to wait, but 50 minutes later, no one from the clinic had joined the Zoom meeting that had been scheduled weeks in advance. Instead of apologizing or confirming our availability, the clinic unilaterally emailed us asking to reschedule. After we filed a formal complaint, we finally received service from the same clinic—five hours later than expected. Although we promptly provided all requested medical records, the clinic, through Michael Serwa and Dr. Susana Park, refused to continue providing services because of delays and problems caused entirely by their own actions and because we had filed a formal complaint. This conduct shows a lack of professionalism and disregard for ethical standards of patient care. In many countries, such conduct is also illegal. We will make this matter public.

    Dr. Flores made my experience very pleasant. She is knowledgeable and communicates well. It is clear that she truly loves her work. I froze my eggs with her at age 37 and had excellent results. I look forward to working with her on IVF in the future.

    Extremely unethical and unprofessional conduct—avoid at all costs My experience in September 2025 at San Diego Fertility Center (SDFC) was extremely poor and deeply concerning from both medical and legal perspectives. The clinic arbitrarily, unilaterally, and abruptly refused to provide ongoing medical care to a patient in active treatment—a decision that was not only baseless but also violated California regulations governing healthcare providers. Despite SDFC acknowledging its own error, they still denied the request: they failed to attend the scheduled appointment and later made statements that proved false. Danielle Miller in particular chose to disregard her own mistake, acted as if the patient had no rights, and caused serious, irreparable harm. Based on other Google reviews, this appears to be part of a disturbing pattern at SDFC: patients are treated as though they are not entitled to legal protections, and the clinic operates as though it can enforce rules that directly contradict the law without consequence. This matter will be reported to federal and state regulators for investigation. In my opinion, SDFC has demonstrated incompetence, arrogance, unethical conduct, and complete disregard for ethical standards in healthcare. This is not a genuine healthcare provider—only a sham business run by unethical people such as Michael Serwa and Danielle Miller. Enough is enough.

    I became a parent through surrogacy with the help of San Diego Fertility Center (SDFC), and I highly recommend them to anyone considering IVF. This simplified the process. They retrieved the eggs, created and stored the embryos, and supported me throughout IVF. 2) They treated my surrogate very well. 3) We maintained excellent communication throughout the process. 4) IVF and the path to parenthood are not always smooth.     This is a truly awful place, and I am glad I will never return! Some of my complaints are: 1. The doctor did not remember my name or diagnosis despite seeing me for 3 consecutive treatment cycles. 2. The same doctor gave contradictory advice during my self-pay consultation. 3. I never actually saw a doctor during treatment cycles; all scans and procedures were performed by NPs, PAs, or ultrasound technicians, and never the same person, so there was no continuity! 4. The waiting room was overcrowded and had glass doors through which everyone could see consultations. 5. I was charged twice for my procedure and the amount was “credited to my account,” even though I was no longer receiving treatment there. + There is more that I will keep to myself, and I hope mine was an isolated experience. Infertility is truly painful. I pray for those who need these services and hope your experience is better than mine. For anyone considering changing clinics, I had tremendous success and an excellent experience with HRC Fertility in San Diego!

    I cannot say enough good things about San Diego Fertility Center! From the moment you walk in, the clean and inviting space stands out. One of my favorite features was being able to see the cryogenic tanks and watch the embryologists work through a window—it was fascinating and reassuring. Dr. Park is absolutely incredible. She took the time to explain every step of the process in detail and showed genuine empathy and compassion throughout. You never feel like just a number; she truly cares about her patients. Communication is essential during IVF, and the entire team excels at it. Everyone is very kind, attentive, and quick to respond to any concern or question, no matter how small. IVF can be a challenging journey, but the staff at San Diego Fertility Center made mine as smooth as possible. Every question I asked—yes, even the “silly” ones—was answered patiently and thoroughly. I am extremely grateful that I chose San Diego Fertility Center and Dr. Park to help grow my family. I am very pleased with my experience!

    Second surrogacy. Both journeys were with Dr. Daneshmand. Wonderful team!! Kanan has always been excellent as our coordinator. Alexis and Maria supported us during our first round. I would recommend them to anyone seeking expert care.

    Our baby boy was born with tremendous help from SDFC. We had previously used another clinic but found its communication very poor and slow. Our agency then introduced us to SDFC. It was an entirely different experience: the whole team communicated well, replied to my emails promptly, and provided enough information to guide us through the entire process. IVF is complex, so I am very grateful for all the help from the SDFC team!

    My experience at San Diego Fertility Center (SDFC) was mixed, and there are several things I wish I had known before starting treatment here. Finance Department: Although the finance department responds quickly when collecting payments, its billing practices are unethical and frustrating. SDFC requires you to prepay more than you owe to secure your IVF calendar, placing the excess in your account as a “credit.” When you try to find out your credit balance or obtain a refund, the finance department suddenly goes silent, ignores emails, and makes you chase them. I have sent email after email without a response. They also struggle to provide basic medical receipts containing details such as the provider, service provided, and date of service. This lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable and adds stress to an already stressful journey. I asked the finance supervisor to call me to discuss my concerns but never heard back. I plan to report SDFC's questionable business practices to the Better Business Bureau and my insurance company. I am still waiting for my refund. Dr. Park and Advanced Practice Providers: Dr. Park is experienced, professional, and kind. However, I found her lacking in empathy and felt more like a number than a patient. I saw her only for my egg retrieval and a follow-up Zoom appointment. At every other visit, I saw a randomly assigned nurse practitioner. Medical Assistant Kat Calver: I nearly left Dr. Park's care several times because of the incompetence of her medical assistant, Kat Calver. She sent me the wrong IVF calendar, submitted incorrect prescriptions to the pharmacy, and even made decisions that should have been made by Dr. Park, delaying our treatment by three months. Worse, I had to keep pushing her to escalate my questions to the doctor. This added unnecessary stress to an already difficult journey. Surgery Center: During my visits, many surgery center staff members were loud and unprofessional. Their behavior did not make me feel comfortable or cared for. They need training on professional conduct and patient-centered care. Office: The medical office is clean and modern. Overall, while SDFC has some positive aspects, these serious issues left me frustrated and extremely dissatisfied. I ultimately sought treatment at another clinic and wish I had left SDFC sooner. I hope they address these issues for future patients. I would not recommend this clinic, especially to anyone undergoing multiple rounds of IVF.

    SDFC was the worst experience, and I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. One star is more than I would give. I do not usually write reviews, but in this case I feel morally obligated. Understand that this is a money-making business, and that is how you are treated. You are just a number with a dollar sign. The clinic is very disorganized and unsupportive. This is a journey, and I received no guidance or support. Nothing happened unless I advocated for myself. I miscarried, which is a real possible outcome and something I fully understand. I never received a call from a nurse and had to request an appointment with the doctor to better understand what happened. We were among the 1% who miscarried because of this particular embryo division. Words cannot describe how awful the process was. I can easily separate emotion from business, and as a business owner, I am amazed this clinic is still operating based on my experience. When you think of a “clinic,” this is about moving as many people in and out as possible. A cattle call. That is SDFC. On the day of our transfer, my husband and I asked when we should leave and were told, “When Alexa tells you to leave.” When I raised my concerns with the office manager, she replied, “Sorry you feel that way.” That is a good summary of this disastrous experience. They simply do not care. Period.

    SDFC made our dream of having children come true not once, but twice! We are so happy with and grateful to Dr. Friedman and her excellent team of nurses and staff. We first visited another fertility clinic but reached a dead end. Dr. Friedman offered us a new and innovative approach. She was caring and practical, exactly what we needed. The entire process was clear, and everyone was knowledgeable and experienced. The facility is beautiful and welcoming. The process has improved since our first child, showing that they continually develop and improve the patient experience. True miracle workers! They should be very proud of their excellent work. We will always be grateful! 🩵🩷

    If I could give more stars, I would. As a surrogate, SDFC far exceeded every expectation I had for the experience. Everyone was attentive, caring, and genuinely supportive. Dr. D is one of a kind. He went above and beyond to make sure every step went smoothly. The beautiful girl I gave birth to feels like it was yesterday, and she is already two! As I consider a second journey, I hope to work with Dr. D and his team again.

    In 2023, my excellent obstetrician at Scripps referred me to this clinic. I was excited and looked forward to personalized care from a fertility specialist who could help diagnose my "unexplained infertility." The experience felt much like buying a car. Dr. Park was the salesperson. She was as enthusiastic as we were and gave us confidence in a plan for intrauterine insemination (IUI). She was professional, intelligent, and personable, and we felt very good after that meeting. Once we signed up for treatment, we never saw her again. From then on, we received poor service from numerous SDFC employees in different roles across multiple locations. This was not one bad interaction on someone's off day; it was remarkably consistent. After too many poor experiences, I began reading what others said on Yelp. According to the reviews, San Diego Fertility Center has faced the same problems for years. We experienced many of the same things reviewers described: lost lab results, lost faxes, poorly trained phlebotomists, poor communication, incompetent medical assistants, scheduling problems, and an overall feeling of being ignored and forgotten. I have taken a Clomid/letrozole combination for more than 3 years, which takes an enormous emotional toll. Adding the stress of this experience was nearly unbearable. I would not wish infertility on my worst enemy, and I wish I could go back and find a more supportive clinic that would at least answer the phone. At a follow-up meeting we requested with Dr. Park, she was no longer enthusiastic about IUI and said that, in her expert opinion, there was no point in trying another IUI. Yet when I received the call that our last IUI had failed, the voicemail said her notes recommended another IUI at a higher dose. Apparently, if I wanted to give them more money, they would do another IUI even though the doctor had told us she saw no point. Again, poor communication. At our final meeting after nearly a year with SDFC, my husband asked Dr. Park for her opinion on why it had not worked. She blamed our ages and my husband's lifestyle choices. We were 36/37 and had nothing but excellent ovarian reserve and semen analysis results. I would bet every dollar I spent at SDFC that Dr. Park made her statement about his sperm without reviewing his semen analysis. The personalized specialist care I had hoped for felt like a joke. I strongly recommend seeking advice from friends and family who have used fertility clinics before trying SDFC. I will certainly tell my obstetrician about my experience with her referral.

    Dr. Sandy Chuan and the entire staff at San Diego Fertility Center are wonderful. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The entire IVF process was explained thoroughly, and every procedure was completed promptly. Someone was always available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns. We underwent FET IVF using ICSI and PGS. Thanks to Dr. Chuan and the SDFC staff, we were blessed with 2 beautiful children, born in 2017 and 2021, before and during the COVID pandemic. Understandably, our second experience at the clinic was different, but they did their best under the circumstances. Everyone remained kind and helpful, ensuring that we always felt comfortable and informed. Although I wished my husband could have joined me during the second FET, we were allowed to talk over FaceTime throughout the process, and the staff made sure I always felt comfortable and never alone. I remember a staff member crying with me when we learned that our first pregnancy was viable, because she had been with us from day one and we were her first patients. I cannot thank Dr. Chuan and SDFC enough. I always recommend them highly to friends, family, and acquaintances. Thank you again to Dr. Chuan and everyone at SDFC for helping us realize our dream and build a happy life.

    Overall, I had an excellent experience at San Diego Fertility Center. I am a single gay man creating embryos with an egg donor for use with a surrogate. Dr. Park was wonderful, one of the warmest and most knowledgeable doctors I have spoken with. The only issue that was sometimes challenging was that Dr. Park did not provide a phone number for contacting her. I understand the privacy concerns involved, but it was difficult to reach her when I had one or two questions. There were also a few occasions when assistants did not understand decisions that had been made and sent emails that did not reflect the current situation. My experience with the first embryo transfer at SDFC was wonderful! They showed me around the facility, and everyone was very welcoming, professional, and friendly. My surrogate also said she was treated very well there when I was not present.

    My wife and I came to SDFC after 1 failed IUI and 2 failed IVF cycles. Worse, Dr. Liu at Kaiser Reproductive Partners told us we would never become pregnant. We were shocked and heartbroken, but believed there was a greater plan for our lives than our current reality. We pursued acupuncture and holistic health and met Katie at San Diego Reproductive Wellness, who eventually connected us with Dr. Susanna Park at SDFC. Our journey continued to face obstacles, but strangers who had previously succeeded with IVF entered our lives and encouraged us to continue as long as we were able. Four years passed, and thanks to the outstanding work of Dr. Park and her team, we have just welcomed our second healthy child using our own eggs and sperm. From our first consultation in Mission Valley, Dr. Park won us over with her energy and confidence. She did not seem overly concerned by the news we had received from Dr. Liu and explained our options. Over the next 18 months, we completed 7 additional IVF cycles, and she wholeheartedly supported our decisions. She was decisive and responsive whenever we contacted her. She even opened her office on Thanksgiving morning in 2021 to ensure ultrasound monitoring and measurements were completed before a scheduled egg retrieval. As the only couple in the office that holiday morning, we witnessed a doctor who was truly passionate and committed to our success. Our first 3 IVF cycles failed, but when we expressed interest in another cycle, Dr. Park remained fully involved. During each cycle review, she considered the challenges shown in the data and guided us in adjusting the treatment plan. She is highly knowledgeable, and her manner eased our anxiety during consultations. Her support team guided us through the highs and lows. Dr. Park's assistant, Hanna Kallis, was always our anchor. When we needed clarification on dosage or administration, or help with prescription orders, Hanna was our first contact. Like Dr. Park, Hanna consistently made us feel heard and was helpful and responsive. As we celebrate overcoming infertility and reflect on our journey, my wife and I will remain forever grateful. Treatment is an emotional ordeal, and everyone's experience is unique. Our advice to new patients is to be patient. Yes, the office is busy. Yes, routine blood tests and ultrasounds can be frustrating. Yes, you should carefully verify the accuracy of prescriptions. Yes, you may take on debt through loans during the process; however, the potential result is indescribable. The stakes are high for every patient who walks through the door, and IVF is still a relatively young science. The first IVF baby is now in her 40s. I personally believed success was nearly certain, although we were told our chances were in the 20% range. Be patient, take a deep breath, and know that the professional SDFC team is in your corner cheering you on.

    I wish I could give 0 stars. I went through most of the egg donation process and passed every test. In my opinion, the reason I was disqualified was unfair. I grew up in foster care and decided to donate eggs to help families unable to have children of their own, perhaps filling the void of not being wanted by my own parents. Regardless, I wanted to help. I was disqualified because my biological 'parents' used drugs. I have never touched drugs in my life. How is that fair? I was told in writing that this was why I was disqualified. I passed the drug test, egg count, and genetic screening. All of them. I am simply overwhelmed. It is unbelievable.
