You hardly ever see a doctor. I have been a patient at this clinic for four years, and even for 99%, they send in a nurse, a different one every time. In addition, after four years of treatment and spending approximately 10 ten thousand dollars, I am still not pregnant.

I wanted a semen analysis out of curiosity and to understand my condition. I was self-paying. Apparently, they will not perform it without a doctor’s order, so I was expected to schedule an appointment and spend several hundred dollars to “get permission.” Are you kidding? Money comes before patients here. Many test kits are available online, and other hospitals perform the test without an “order,” so I know this is not a legal issue but a way to extract more money. Please do not support such a greedy place.

Our experience at Sanford was mixed. My wife and I have been on a fertility journey for the past few years. It took more than four months to get started at the clinic, though I cannot entirely blame them because they were very busy. Everyone was friendly, and our original doctor was excellent—knowledgeable, communicative, reassuring, and honest about possible outcomes. Unfortunately, she left the clinic. The other doctors were still good but fell short in some areas. Overall, the experience was positive until the end. Our treatment at Sanford was ultimately unsuccessful. During IVF, we received regular embryo updates. On day seven, a doctor called my wife to say that all the embryos had died, delivering the news very rudely and without explanation. That was the last call we received until we requested a video meeting with a doctor to learn what had happened, but we could not get a useful answer. They should have initiated some follow-up instead of leaving us heartbroken and waiting to learn whether there were any next steps. Again, our overall experience there was positive, but communication is the one major negative.

The staff are very professional and knowledgeable. We completed 4 unsuccessful medicated natural cycles. When I raised that I felt unwell, I was dismissed and told it was only the medication. We then completed 2 unsuccessful IUIs, and I still felt unwell. Between May and July 2023, I asked for blood tests 3 times and was told that everything had been normal in January 2023, so there was nothing to investigate. We took a break in August 2023, but I still felt unwell. I went to my primary care provider and discovered that my blood levels were completely abnormal and incompatible with pregnancy. I messaged the doctor and was told to have my primary care provider address it; they offered no recommendations for stabilizing my blood work. Significant findings included very low iron and vitamin D and high thyroid levels. Several other results were also very abnormal. I will not return because of the lack of care. They did not listen and simply kept telling me to continue.

Perhaps I will leave a review here because I cannot message the office directly. You are truly unprofessional. I waited two weeks just to get the appointment that was finally scheduled. 'Oh, she is booked through April.' Fine...so I have to wait until May or June. Your patients do not matter, and honestly, you are somewhat racist. I do not even want to begin going down that road. In any case, go somewhere else. These people do not care. A matter this sensitive should be handled by doctors who care and truly listen. I am disappointed.
