Looking back, my family’s experience with Springfield Best Fertility Clinic was largely negative. I do not recommend undergoing IVF at this facility. We had been patients of the practice for years. Last year they lost 3 doctors, nurse turnover seemed high, and we also had problems in our interactions with the laboratory. Across two separate egg-retrieval cycles, we did not achieve a viable pregnancy. There were problems with embryo testing, insurance paperwork, untimely communication, our confidence in our doctor, their ability to discuss results, and organizational confusion within the clinic. I recognize that people who end treatment without a viable pregnancy may appear inclined or motivated to post negative reviews, but I encourage anyone considering IVF or other fertility care to ask this practice many questions and do your research. Again, I would not recommend this practice for your journey, and I sincerely wish you all the best.

Absolutely terrible. If you need help, go to the UConn Center for Reproductive Services. The doctor was extremely rude and told my husband and me, after we had tried for more than a year, "at least you do not have a crying baby." Then the nurse kept talking about her children. It was extraordinarily insensitive. They ordered many tests with almost no explanation and then never called again. In June, we were told no follow-up was available until around September, and no one followed up or called. We completed the tests, but no one called to review the negative results, so we had to interpret them ourselves. It was the most appalling experience I have had.

The team at Baystate Reproductive Medicine is among the kindest, most knowledgeable, and most caring people who have treated me. Our journey was not easy, but having them by our side truly made it better. Although the initial appointment took some time, once we were established, appointments were scheduled quickly and responses to questions by phone or through the portal were very prompt and detailed.

I am shocked by the terrible communication. I had been coming here since February 2023 and had good experiences with most nurses and team members. After 3 unsuccessful IUIs, I said I wanted to pursue IVF. They then kept telling me there was a one-year waiting list to begin IVF and a three-month waiting list just to speak with a doctor. Although I clearly stated at my last ultrasound that I wanted IVF if the IUI failed, not one nurse told me about the IVF waiting list. I am transferring my infertility care to the UMass fertility center.

It took 6 months to finally see anyone. I should have known something was wrong when I did not receive an appointment confirmation. When I arrived, Baystate told me they had moved to the main building. I went there and learned they had truly abandoned ship: they closed without notifying patients. At Baystate's main building, the clinic was Boston IVF, not Baystate. They were wonderful and very apologetic about what happened, but I had to restart the process as a new patient. Fortunately, I had not begun treatment at Baystate. I cannot believe they sent no notice.

I spent more than a year at this place. Thankfully they eventually hired more help, but two rounds of IVF did not work. After learning a cycle failed, you cannot even speak with your doctor for 3 to 5 months to discuss what happened unless you complain to senior management, after which they find an opening. They told me everything looked great and that I had 2 perfect, tested embryos, yet it still did not work. I think they hurried to accept everyone they could and did not devote enough time to each patient. I would not work with any of my previous staff again; I would want a completely new nursing and medical team. It is ridiculous that I spent my life savings at this joke of a place, treatment failed, and there was no good explanation. Yet they want you to pay for all kinds of tests that cannot even guarantee a child. Why should a patient do everything and get no results? Being a doctor or nurse does not automatically make you a good one. The lesson learned will not change anything or return my money or time.
