My first in-person visit was very pleasant, and everyone I met was warm and friendly. Thank you all.

I love the staff and doctors at CCRM Nova! They are always supportive and positive. Dr. Payson has always been very patient in accommodating my requests for additional testing and meetings. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking fertility testing or treatment!

I recently called this fertility clinic to schedule an HSG test as a new patient, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. I was placed on hold for over 25 minutes, and when I finally spoke with a representative, she was very rude and unhelpful. My questions were not answered, and the interaction felt aggressive rather than welcoming. Starting the fertility journey can already feel stressful and emotional, so having a negative first impression like this was upsetting. I hope the clinic works on improving their customer service and patient communication, especially for new patients seeking guidance and support.

I consulted four different clinics, and this was the only one that billed my insurance for an in-person visit and ultrasound that I never received. This left me responsible for a large deductible, which did not happen at any of the other clinics. Many IVF support groups report that CCRM has the worst billing practices, and my own experience confirmed this. I therefore chose another clinic with more appropriate billing practices. IVF is already difficult and expensive enough; I did not need fraudulent billing to make it worse!

Very quick. Staff was nice and very informative. Nice clean business. Nice area. 10/10. Everyone was so nice. It was my first time there. And I love it.

Dealing with CCRM has been a nightmare. Communication is almost nonexistent. Everything is handled by different departments, and those departments do not communicate with one another. We planned to use insurance, but they refused to submit prior authorization before cycle day 1, despite my repeated requests that they send it sooner. Because they waited until I reported cycle day 1, no costs could be covered until the insurance company responded to the prior authorization, which could take up to 2 weeks or longer. Essentially, your only choices are to pay in advance or miss the cycle and wait for insurance. CCRM said that if we prepaid, we would receive a refund once the prior authorization was approved, so we decided to prepay. After approval, I requested the refund. Someone else then told me I had to wait until the claim was processed, and the claim they submitted contained errors, causing further delays. After I saw that the claim had been processed, I called again for the refund. Once again, they changed the explanation and said I had to wait until the insurance company paid for the billed services before they would begin the refund process. It took 4 months in total to receive the refund, and I had to call repeatedly and speak with a different representative each time. I am now trying to obtain my medical records. They said it would take 10-14 business days. I submitted the request on March 2, 2026. When I called on March 18, they said the records had to be uploaded by Tuesday. I waited until Tuesday and called again. They then said they could wait until Wednesday but would handle it that day. It is now March 25, 2026. I called again this morning, and they said the records had been uploaded to the Salve patient portal last night. I told them nothing had been uploaded since February. They did not know why it was not showing and said they would speak with their manager and call me back promptly, but I still have not heard anything. I spent about an hour trying to reach the medical records department and the existing-patient line, but no one answered. Finally, I tried the new-patient line. Unsurprisingly, someone answered, and I finally reached a person. They said they were “short-staffed,” the medical records department had closed, and a supervisor knew about my situation and would call me back. Apparently, I will not hear from them until tomorrow at the earliest. I need my records, and making anyone wait nearly a month is unacceptable. The staff at the Vienna office, including the ultrasound technicians and phlebotomists, were very kind and professional. However, dealing with everyone else was extremely frustrating and completely overshadowed the clinical experience.

I would rate this practice 2.5 stars, with the positive rating going to the medical team. My doctor was efficient, the nurses responded quickly, and the phlebotomist was excellent. The downside is the financial department. They are inefficient and communicate poorly. You cannot access itemized bills online and must rely on them. At any other practice, I can view previous bills online and download an itemized statement for the entire year. Given the cost of this process, their customer service is very poor. It would be better if they focused on saving patients money. They could reduce patients' out-of-pocket costs and bring certain services in-network, such as anesthesia, the surgical facility, and PGT-A.

I do not recommend this clinic. It is often very difficult to reach them or receive a response. Replies through their app are inconsistent, and only about 1 in 8 phone calls is answered or returned. They will not disclose prices or financial information unless you repeatedly follow up. They essentially quote an amount without explaining what it includes. When you ask for the total cost of a service, they conveniently omit many items you will later have to pay for. The final total is therefore far higher than the initial amount, making budgeting impossible. They also assumed what my insurance would cover without verifying it. Be prepared to act as the intermediary between the clinic and your insurance company and spend hours on the phone over several days. Their slow responses and delays caused me to postpone starting IVF for several months. Be prepared to wait an hour for a 2-minute blood draw and a 4-minute ultrasound. When you have to visit daily or every few days, that time adds up. Although the staff were kind once I reached them, it felt as though they either had too many patients or not enough staff. Unfortunately, you are likely to be overlooked, making the process even more stressful.

The staff and professionalism at CCRM are amazing. Dr. Carpinello and Dom were especially outstanding, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Our questions were always answered quickly. Although there were occasional billing and financial issues, they were ultimately resolved properly.

CCRM helped make our dream come true, and we now have a beautiful, healthy baby! We mainly visited the Washington, D.C. and Vienna locations; both had excellent facilities and wonderful, considerate staff. The team was very knowledgeable about LGBTQ+ family building, which was essential to us. From our first appointment through graduation, Dr. Carpinello and her nurse Dominique were outstanding. I highly recommend CCRM and already have!

From start to finish, the care at CCRM was exceptional. Every staff member I met was kind, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to making me feel comfortable and reassured. The team was organized, calming, and approachable—the kind of staff who put you at ease as soon as you enter. Dr. Sarhan, who performed my surgery, was highly skilled and kind. His calm, confident, and compassionate manner made a stressful day much easier. The nurses and surgical team were equally excellent: supportive, attentive, and consistently checking on me to ensure I felt safe and fully informed. It is rare to find a medical facility that combines clinical expertise with such warmth, and CCRM does exactly that. I sincerely appreciate the professionalism, compassion, and attentive care they provided throughout my visit.

Our experience at this clinic was not always smooth. After two unsuccessful egg retrievals, we made the difficult decision to change doctors, and that changed everything. Dr. Irwin was exceptional in every way. She listened patiently and understood our needs. She was caring and always made me feel like her most important patient. She carefully reviewed every test result and personally called to explain everything in detail, which meant so much during such an emotional process. I always felt I was receiving the best care. Under her care, both of our egg retrievals were successful, and I became pregnant after our first transfer. We are beyond grateful—words cannot express it. However, the clinic’s billing department needs significant improvement. Communication is poor: calls often go unanswered, messages are not returned, and they usually respond only once a day. Payments are frequently missed on their end, so I strongly recommend keeping detailed records of every bill. Statements are also not sent promptly. Overall, although the administrative side was frustrating, Dr. Irwin played an essential role in our journey, and we will always be grateful.

Where do I begin? Chronic overbooking and understaffing cause long visits with rushed care. They also repeatedly pressure patients financially. They say they accept your insurance, and they do until a few days before retrieval, when they change their position. Even after I called the insurer and confirmed that the clinic was contracted and retrieval was covered, they refused to proceed unless I paid out of pocket. It felt like extortion. For an entire year, I asked about my emergency C-section scar at every visit, and they insisted it 'looked fine.' After a failed frozen embryo transfer, concerns about 'calcification' in the scar kept arising. Carter Owen eventually determined that I needed C-section scar repair followed by six months of recovery. They called my case unusual because it was 'tricky' and said I was lucky, since the scar could easily rupture after 12 weeks of pregnancy. The ultrasound monitoring my miscarriage was also billed as out of network. My new doctor felt the miscarriage was ultimately fortunate because no OB-GYN would have managed a pregnancy with this condition. The surgeon also said I was not the first Carter Owen patient to see him after being ignored for more than a year and later proven completely correct. Shady Grove's administration never caused insurance problems, and its doctors genuinely listen. Do not waste your money at CCRM.

First, Dr. Payson and the medical team are truly excellent. Nurse Megan also deserves praise; she always responded promptly and helped me tremendously. Dr. Payson took time to understand my infertility history and created a tailored plan that produced one healthy embryo after two failed retrievals at SGF. However, I have never encountered such a poor administrative support team. The authorization and billing teams are maddening. At SGF, authorization requests were usually submitted within a day or two. Here, submission took weeks, and I had to follow up repeatedly because I received no notification. My timeline was very tight, so this caused major stress. Payment notices arrived promptly, but getting help with any question or problem was extremely difficult, and responses were often dismissive. Infertility is already stressful, and poor customer service adds stress that can only make treatment harder. Although I appreciate the excellent medical care, I cannot recommend this clinic because of its administrative problems. I also do not understand why procedures such as operating-room and anesthesia services incurred extra charges despite being in network, costing me thousands of dollars that could have been avoided elsewhere, such as SGF. I moved from SGF to CCRM for more treatment options, such as growth hormone, but after this experience I will likely return to SGF after my cycle. Anyone considering treatment here should prepare for a difficult process and many avoidable out-of-pocket expenses. I hope this review encourages CCRM to improve its administrative customer service and out-of-network care process, which would attract more patients.

It is hard to find the right words to describe my wonderful experience at CCRM Vienna. Does anyone else look forward to 7 a.m. ultrasounds and bloodwork? I did! The staff, nurses, operating room team, and doctors were incredibly supportive. Dr. Irwin! I could not have done any of this without her. She is exceptional at explaining complex fertility concepts and making me feel at ease. I trusted her completely throughout the process. She is amazing! To her, you are not just a number. She tailors treatment to each cycle and adjusts it based on the circumstances. She encouraged and supported me, and she brightened every day! I love her!

I absolutely love Dr. Irwin. I began seeing her in 2020 and, as her patient, underwent IUI, two rounds of IVF, and two embryo transfers. She is very compassionate and knowledgeable, and she always made me feel at ease during such an uncertain and emotional process. I truly believe we could not have succeeded without her. She is the best doctor I have ever met.

Everyone there was warm and welcoming and made me feel at home. The entire process was relaxed and pleasant, without any awkwardness or discomfort. They patiently answered all my questions.

I do not know where to begin. Dr. Payson and his team absolutely deserve five stars, but somehow my embryo was lost. The doctor said this is very rare and happens perhaps once every 5 to 10 years. I was incredibly unlucky. I do not know whether the original clinic lost it during thawing before the frozen embryo transfer to CCRM. In any case, the transfer did not happen, and I found out on my day off. The first transfer also failed. This has been an extraordinarily difficult experience.

I hesitated to post, but I feel I should share my experience so others know what I encountered at CCRM. Infertility is heartbreaking enough, and my experience at CCRM only made it worse. From the start, I felt ignored and dismissed. I left my first visit in tears. Although I brought detailed medical records and history, the doctor did not review them and even asked, “Then why are you here?” I was clearly not taken seriously. - I often waited two or three days for a nurse to respond, which is unacceptable when timing is critical. - I saw several doctors and received completely contradictory opinions, ranging from “You do not need fertility treatment” to “You should consider adoption.” - I repeatedly raised concerns about endometriosis but was always told I did not have it. After leaving CCRM for SGF, laparoscopy confirmed endometriosis. - Only when I told the care team I was leaving CCRM did someone suddenly mention, “Oh, by the way, your ovaries are adhered—you should have that checked.” - Despite repeated requests for changes, my intrauterine insemination (IUI) protocol never changed over three cycles: the same medication doses and timing. I am not a doctor, but even I could see that the timing did not make sense. CCRM instructed me to take the trigger shot 20 hours before IUI while telling me washed sperm survives about 8 hours. That meant the sperm could become inactive about 28 hours after the trigger, while ovulation typically occurs about 36 hours after it. In other words, the sperm might die before ovulation. After transferring to SGF, the timing and protocol were completely different, and we became pregnant on our first IUI. Billing was consistently frustrating and, in my experience, extremely opaque. The front desk and billing department did not respond unless I threatened legal action. I later learned that I received a refund only because I went there in person. They then “forgot” to issue it, and I waited four months. Transferring my records to SGF took another two weeks and caused further delays. Blood draw appointments often ran 45 minutes late or more. The clinic itself felt gloomy—gray, cold, and lifeless. Children were also allowed in the waiting room, which can be very painful for patients experiencing infertility. At times it felt more like a children's playroom than a clinic. I also asked not to see one particular nurse, as I learned many other patients had done. My nurse said, “Of course—we will note it in your chart.” I was assigned that nurse twice more. I was told I had to complete six IUIs before IVF could be considered, which felt arbitrary and financially motivated. After three failed IUIs, I expected the doctor to reassess, adjust the plan, or investigate further, but nothing happened. Overall, I felt they cared more about making money than helping patients through a vulnerable medical experience. After transferring to SGF, I immediately felt heard. The doctors believed my symptoms, helped expedite the IUI process, and changed my treatment plan. We became pregnant with our first IUI at SGF, which I do not believe could have happened under CCRM's protocol. This was my experience, and I hope it helps others make an informed choice. If you are struggling with infertility, choose a clinic that listens, believes you, and treats you with care—not one that adds to an already overwhelming burden. This star is for Mark. He was the only smiling, positive person in the clinic.

It took me two years to write this review because the experience left me furious and shocked. Here is the short version. I came to CCRM for unexplained infertility and usually saw Dr. Martini. We submitted all records, including my husband's initial test results, and no concerns were raised. After years of treatment and multiple egg retrievals in which the embryos failed during attempted fertilization, she suggested that my husband be evaluated for a varicocele, a common, treatable vascular condition associated with infertility. We told them he had been diagnosed 15 years earlier, but no one had asked. Only then did she say his initial results showed sperm morphology of 3, below the normal range of 4-14 and a clear warning sign. They finally referred us to a urologist. My husband underwent a minor procedure to correct the varicocele, and we conceived on our first attempt afterward. When I begged Dr. Martini for an explanation, the response was, “Well, you might have needed IVF eventually anyway.” That missed the point, and we ultimately did not need IVF. His urologist could not understand why we had not been referred initially and called us a textbook case for seeing a urologist first. Of course, an early referral would have meant the clinic did not receive the tens of thousands of dollars we paid for treatments, procedures, supplements, and ineffective extra injections. Worse, this week we learned that, contrary to what we had been told and despite his condition, an embryo had remained frozen with my eggs. We learned this only after three years. I honestly even question whether it is ours. I appreciate that IVF helps people who need it, but the negligence, carelessness, and manipulation I experienced made this one of the worst experiences of my life.

The surgical team was professional, warm, and friendly. The operating room was quiet and clean, and everything went smoothly. Thank you for empowering women.

Knowledgeable, prompt service, and very friendly staff.

I completed three rounds of IVF here, and the doctors and nurses were so wonderful that words cannot describe them. I was at the front desk almost every day during those six months and even became friends with one or two staff members. They absolutely deserve five stars! However, I cannot understand what is happening with their billing department. The service is extremely poor, highly stressful, and very unprofessional, so I cannot in good conscience give five stars without warning others. For example, in November I suddenly received a very large bill from July, and no one has explained it yet. From May to August, I sought reimbursement and requested an itemized bill, but waited four months for a response. You must keep following up. The phone message always says call volume is “higher than normal,” but because they can be unreachable through the app for days, you have to call and leave a message. Given their poor communication record, you never know whether anyone received the message or cares. I remember calling three or four times that week trying to reach customer service, while months of app messages had gone unanswered. Their Washington, DC offices provide excellent service. I do not know whether billing is handled elsewhere, by an outside provider, or by corporate headquarters, but it is completely inconsistent with the quality of their other services. It adds frustration, stress, and fear to an already stressful and expensive process, with bills often reaching thousands of dollars. Worse, billing is often the last department you deal with after all medical care is complete, leaving an unpleasant end to an already difficult experience. If I were rating billing alone, I would give one star.

Complete scammers A total scam I sent them my insurance information and documents and scheduled an appointment. On the day of the visit, they said everything was set. A month later, they sent me a bill. I called, and they said it was their mistake and that they were updating my insurance information. They sent another bill. I called again, and they said my insurance was out of network. Two months later, they again said my insurance was out of network.

We had one egg retrieval at CCRM and obtained 8 embryos tested with PGT-A. Our first embryo transfer at CCRM Nova resulted in our healthy one-year-old baby. I am now 24 weeks pregnant after our second embryo transfer, and this pregnancy has also gone smoothly without complications. We still have 6 embryos for future use. Previously, we had three failed embryo transfers at Shady Grove. We began to wonder whether we would ever become parents, but CCRM helped make our dream of parenthood a reality. My pregnancies have been smooth, and my babies are very healthy. Special thanks to Dr. Owen, nurse Sydney, and phlebotomist Mark.

This team is wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone needing fertility assistance.

Over a year of waiting. Our original doctor left. Although we spoke to her for 15min and never met with her again. Replacement doctor was nice. However, CCRM is like McDonald's. Don't expect personal attention. Extremely poor administrative support with very little knowledge of insurance plans, lack of staff follow up, and all communications through an app. They forgot to take a blood sample and I had to go back. They forgot to include micro needles for subcutaneous injections and had I to improvise with large needles, they did not provide adequate drugs and had to drive to get more. The day of, doctor prescribed back to back egg retrievals, which is not supported by our insurance. Nobody cared to anticipate this common methodology and prepare us a year in advance. Instead, I spent a month trying to get it approved to no avail. Out of pocket with Aetna FSBP was +$8k. Insurance was billed +$19k. Out of pocket does not include genetic testing procedure, egg cryopreservation, etc. which were costly add ons. I hope this helps all those out there.

I requested a callback and received only a lengthy list of excuses. They eventually called, but only after an unpleasant exchange on their chat platform. I remain with CCRM because I am at a critical stage of treatment. If I could go back, I would never come here. From phone support to the nurses, they play games and leave you feeling helpless. Unfortunately, this reflects my entire experience, but you do not have to go through the same thing. Patients' experiences, feelings, and concerns are always valid, yet the support they promise is completely different from what I received. Communication is very poor, and I felt ignored.

Avoid this clinic! They had us transfer not one but two mistested embryos, that should have never been graded as 6AA. Both transfers had a chromosome abnormality that should have been flagged in testing. Also, their service at this clinic is awful. We’ve shown up for an appt and not been seen for two hours+ after the appointment time.
    Nov 3, 2025
This clinic is terrible. I went there to have my fertility evaluated, and they laughed at me, saying I was so young that there was probably no problem. They did not take me seriously at all. Not recommended.

We had some initial success using them for IVF. But everything the doctors said was only a guess. They did not know what would happen. It was clearly a gamble. We understood what could result from investing $18,000. Thank God our first transfer succeeded, at a cost of $50,000. IVF is expensive, and regardless of how many embryos you have, success is obviously never guaranteed. The entire process made me very uncomfortable. I wish we had given up at the beginning. Very disappointed.

Dr. Payson, Mark—the best phlebotomist I have ever had—and the entire laboratory and nursing staff made me feel extremely fortunate. As other patients have said, their billing department was terrible, even five years ago, but overall the staff were attentive and compassionate. Pros: - Dr. Payson is highly experienced, listened carefully to my concerns, and acted accordingly. During my third cycle, he helped me make a difficult choice that I later truly appreciated because he could view the situation objectively when I could not. During my fourth cycle, we carefully reviewed the data and found that my chance of success was low, so we canceled the plan and started over—and this time, I succeeded! - As noted above, the phlebotomist was wonderful. - When my new insurance company refused to work with CCRM, the laboratory staff kindly helped me transfer my embryos to another clinic. Cons: - As noted above, I reluctantly changed clinics after my final egg retrieval and embryo fertilization. By then, I had experienced two failed implantations. My new doctor showed incredible attentiveness and attention to detail that I had not seen at CCRM. I believe those details contributed to the successful implantation of an embryo created for me at CCRM. - CCRM's laboratory policies were not very clear, although to be fair, they gave me opportunities to ask questions. I simply did not know what I did not know! The best part: I now have the sweetest baby, thanks to Dr. Payson's persistence in helping me get here.

Dr. Owens is excellent and straightforward... exactly what a doctor should be.
    Sep 10, 2025
In month 12 of last year, after switching from SGF (single fallopian tube transfer) to CCRM for IVF (in vitro fertilization), our treatment cycle was severely delayed. We were eager to use CCRM, see their laboratory, and benefit from their experience with repeated treatment failures and complex cases, so it was unfortunate that this happened. Dr. Owen was wonderful, and we also liked our nurse. All the clinical staff were attentive and helpful and took time to explain everything in detail, including how our treatment plan would change, the reasons for those changes, and why we had experienced repeated failures. We began treatment excited, hopeful, and relieved to finally have a chance of success in an already sensitive, stressful, and frustrating process. That was in January. By May, despite completing all testing and meeting every other requirement, the front desk/financial team had not followed up on the next steps. We repeatedly contacted them by phone, voicemail, and portal—their portal is terrible—but responses were always severely delayed or never came. The biggest issue was the lack of billing transparency. They advertise themselves as an in-network provider with our insurance, which surprisingly covers IVF and we know is uncommon, as well as with other commercial insurance plans. In reality, however, they have a completely separate billing structure for higher-cost claims such as egg retrieval, PGT-A testing, and anesthesia. These services are outsourced to other medical providers in the area rather than handled in-house. These charges are not submitted to insurance and are not discussed until payment is due. Even for patients whose insurance covers these procedures, thousands of dollars must be paid entirely out of pocket. This part of treatment is completely opaque to all patients, which is ethically questionable at best. Worse, because this part of CCRM operates as an out-of-network provider, they must follow certain rules and regulations to remain compliant under the 2022 No Surprises Act. When I repeatedly explained this and our rights as patients, including the right to request a good faith estimate, which is legally required automatically and within a specified time frame, they seemed confused and issued a noncompliant and incorrect document. Notably, even after my third request, they still failed to provide it within the legally required time. A good faith estimate is also required when developing a treatment plan and as part of informed consent. Unfortunately, by the time this issue was discovered, we had lost more than 6 months and had to switch to another clinic because we could not wait any longer. Our insurance fully covers all these procedures, so we could not justify the high out-of-pocket costs. We initially came to the clinic hopeful and relieved, and excited to work with Dr. Owen and her team. We left feeling extremely frustrated, stressed, discouraged, and out of options—unfortunately, that was exactly the case.

We greatly enjoyed our experience at CCRM Northern Virginia. Graduating felt like saying goodbye to an extended family. The clinical team was wonderful. The phlebotomists are exceptionally skilled, the nurses always went above and beyond, and Dr. Payson made our dream come true. The laboratory is excellent, and the embryologists deserve recognition for taking such great care of our little embryos. We will always be grateful to CCRM for convenient scheduling and an informative portal that made it easy to ask questions and stay updated. Thank you, CCRM. We will see you next time for baby number two.

I used the Salve app several times to ask important questions and contacted different departments, but almost never received a response. It felt as though my messages disappeared with no follow-up. Very frustrating and unprofessional. Definitely not recommended if you need timely communication or genuine support.

My experience with CCRM Vienna was marked by poor communication, a lack of transparency, and delays that could have been avoided with basic follow-up. I began treatment in February and decided to proceed with IVF in May. I asked whether I could complete an IVF cycle in July or August and what steps were needed to meet that timeline, but never received a complete answer. Key requirements were not mentioned until mid-to-late July, including an additional appointment with my doctor that could not be scheduled for several weeks, making it impossible to proceed on time. Messages, calls, and voicemails often went unanswered for days. During my final week trying to arrange IVF through CCRM, I sent 5 messages, called several times, and left 2 voicemails without a response until my husband escalated the matter. Instead of using my previous out-of-state clinic, I decided to use remote monitoring and was told to call the main number to schedule. I called to arrange the next cycle, but after two days, 15 calls, and 2 messages, they still could not schedule the ultrasound I needed in time. I switched clinics because I did not want to lose three months at CCRM. Their lack of organization, responsiveness, and proactive communication completely destroyed my confidence in their ability to manage time-sensitive care. Patients should not have to chase basic updates or piece together information that should have been shared in advance. For a clinic with CCRM's reputation and prices, the level of service I experienced was unacceptable.

I had an excellent experience at CCRM. From the moment I arrived at the front desk, through check-in with the coordinator, and throughout my visit with NP Ashley, the staff was warm and welcoming. Ashley did an excellent job explaining everything in advance and made me feel at ease. Overall, I am very satisfied and highly recommend CCRM!

I went to CCRM for medical screening during my surrogacy journey. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and explained the entire process in detail.

The experience for clients coming to submit a sample for analysis was unsatisfactory.

CCRM was our second choice after a poor experience at another clinic. From the moment we arrived, everything was explained in great detail. My husband and I met an amazing nurse, Meghan M. She was like an angel. She documented every process clearly and made sure we understood each step. Dr. Mark Payson was also very candid, and we never felt rushed or that he lacked time for us. He made me feel very comfortable, and I trusted his expertise completely. We were fortunate to become pregnant on our first attempt and are now 36 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy. I will never forget Michelle, the sonographer. She always gave us many ultrasound pictures and was consistently kind and welcoming. Everyone we met treated us with respect and care, and I am especially grateful for the expert treatment team we had. ❤️

I only came here for outside monitoring, but the phlebotomist was incredibly friendly and did an excellent job!! Helpful staff like this can make or break your experience. Thank you so much!

Great team/staff, and one of the cleanest offices I have visited.

They did not return my call to report day one, and every call went to voicemail. No one told me what to do next, so I had to message everyone I had contacted through the app, hoping someone would see it and forward it to the right person. I kept worrying that I would be unable to start the reporting process because I could not reach a live person. A very frustrating experience.

My experience was excellent from the first day of online scheduling through my final day of care. 🙏 Thank you to all the staff for their caring hands, especially Dr. Martini. May Almighty God continue to work through you and restore smiles to women who cannot conceive naturally. I am very proud to give CCRM five-star 🌟 service.

Uncompassionate care (1/5) After a seemingly positive initial consultation, things quickly went downhill. Since then, it has been difficult to reach anyone when needed and nearly impossible to speak with finance and billing. Despite repeated attempts and having the required insurance, we ultimately received bills for thousands of dollars. At our first visit, the front-desk staff were so rude that my wife cried, then offered no sympathy or help. When we tried to resolve the issue with management, we were treated coldly and received no apology. The regional manager is the biggest problem; her lack of compassion for someone in this field is shocking. During our second call with the manager about an unexpected and incorrect bill, she offered no help and instead said we could not return to any of her clinics. Additionally, in Vienna, all the trash cans were overflowing, handles were falling off cabinet doors, and many uncollected urine samples had accumulated in the bathroom.

The CCRM team in Vienna is very friendly and caring. I am a new patient and feel good about beginning my fertility journey with CCRM. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The entire space is clean and looks beautiful. I felt well cared for and knew I was receiving excellent care.

Everyone at CCRM treated us like family. I felt supported by a community during this challenging time. Dr. Martini knew our entire history and never forgot any detail of our story.

So far, our experience has been mostly positive. The medical professionals are knowledgeable and have a good bedside manner. They provide extensive information so you can understand your options and the path forward. We are about halfway through our fertility journey, and things have gone well so far. My only concern, which I hope CCRM addresses, is that its departments operate in silos and do not communicate with one another. It is common for Benefits, Prior Authorization and Cycle Estimates, the Clinical Coordinator Assistant, and Clinical Nurses to rely on patients to relay critical information between departments. This increases patient stress, the time required for care planning, and the chance that information will be missed. I often feel like a middleman. For example, the doctor created our care plan, but the clinical and authorization teams did not communicate. They expected me to forward the information so our prior authorization request to the insurer at the beginning of the year could be processed. Why should the patient be responsible for this communication? I strongly believe CCRM needs more and better internal communication. This is a major area for improvement, especially considering how much we pay for services. Also, as I understand it, a three-person authorization team works to ensure that all five CCRM doctors can provide care and attention to more than 1,000 patients. Perhaps they should hire more people for this function.

My infertility journey was not easy and did not have a happy ending. But if I had to do it all over again, I would choose Dr. Carpinello and CCRM every time. My husband and I loved Dr. Carpinello as soon as we met her. She made us feel seen and heard. She made me feel like an individual, and I knew she truly cared about her patients. She was always kind, compassionate, and personable. I could reach her when I needed her, and she never made me feel that my questions were silly. She gave me her time, and anyone who has gone through IVF knows what that means when you are trying to navigate the uncertainty and confusion of the process. The team I worked with showed me so much care and compassion. I will honestly miss them. My journey was full of bumps and crazy curveballs, and through it all I had Julia. Every nurse I worked with in that office was wonderful, but Julia...that is my girl. I honestly do not know whether I could have completed the process without her by my side. There are so many people at the Vienna office I want to thank for making my journey as positive as possible under the circumstances. From Jerry and Patricia at the front desk to my best friend Mark, the only person I would willingly let draw my blood. :) Thank you to Ely for always being helpful and offering jokes and smiles. Michelle, Ashley, and everyone else who performed the ultrasounds—you are amazing. I also want to thank Ebony. The financial team gets a bad reputation, but I think they are doing their best and always mean well. Communication could be better, but Ebony and I got along wonderfully, and I appreciate her help, which she is still providing even though my journey is now complete. I also have to give a shout-out to Kelsey. We ultimately chose the donor route, and working with her was wonderful! Of course, I cannot forget Glo, who helped make sure my husband and I completed the correct information and supported me many times when I was stressed and needed help contacting other teams in the office. I worked with every doctor in the NOVA office and have only wonderful things to say about my experiences with them. If you choose CCRM, which I definitely believe is the best option in the field, you will be in excellent hands. I would not do it again without them.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Avoid it at all costs. Frankly, I do not know how they are still in business, given how difficult it is to get them to provide an appointment date and time, let alone follow up on your test results. Their front desk staff are rude and generally unhelpful. Before your visit, they do not give you any information about how to prepare for your tests; instead, that information is only written on a card in the room. As a result, I had to return and pay more money to repeat some of the same tests because they could not be bothered to share the relevant information beforehand. After any test, be prepared to wait weeks without follow-up and receive no response to follow-up emails. They say your results are available online in their system, but good luck getting anyone to give you the code needed to register. If my partner were not a patient here, I would go elsewhere. After our experience with them, we most likely will. Do not waste your time or money here.

CCRM is attentive and knowledgeable and has the best staff! Dr. Martini made me feel seen and heard, and I knew I was receiving excellent care. Every nurse, phlebotomist, and ultrasound technician was highly skilled and made the journey as easy as possible. Communication was first-rate. Do not try other clinics first as I did; begin your fertility preservation and path to motherhood with CCRM.

Absolutely the best experience with an exceptionally caring and supportive team and doctors. IVF is very stressful, but the nurses and medical staff were supportive, gentle, and compassionate. I never felt shortchanged regarding results, testing, or billing expectations. It is unfortunate to see some one-star reviews. The Vienna clinic always made me feel safe, understood, and cared for. We cannot thank them enough. Even during the hardest moments, everyone showed patience and compassion. Dr. Owen is busy but was direct with us. She was friendly and precise, kept our spirits up, and offered options. Dr. Martini performed both retrievals and made them easy. Although busy, she sat with us before each one to explain the process and answer questions. My husband is very protective of me, and even he was deeply touched and grateful for their care. Thank you for everything you do. We are not pregnant yet, but we remain hopeful. Advice for anyone beginning this journey: approach it with an open mind and realistic expectations. Be kind to yourself, understand and care for your body, eat well, exercise, and look after your mental health. Good luck!

My family will always be grateful to Dr. Carpinello and the CCRM team. From the moment we met her, we knew she was the doctor we wanted for our IVF journey. Her standard of care is exceptionally high, and she takes time to know you, explain everything thoroughly, and answer every question. I never felt rushed, only appreciated and valued. Every step was completed with great care. I trusted her and knew she excelled at her work. The facility and staff are unlike any other doctor's office I have visited. They respect your time; we never had to sit and wait because they were ready for us. The front desk staff were friendly. The experience can be frightening and confusing, but CCRM, especially Dr. Carpinello, made it one of my most treasured memories. We now have a beautiful 14-month-old daughter and feel only love and gratitude for our doctor and team. If you need a fertility clinic, CCRM is the best choice. Their patient-care standard is unlike anything I have experienced. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My experience so far has been extremely disappointing, to put it mildly. I visited their office twice on cycle day 3, but somehow the correct bloodwork still was not completed! Each time it took 5 calls to schedule me, and the process takes a month. I honestly do not know whether I can trust them to freeze my eggs; their nursing staff have so far seemed extremely incompetent and irresponsible. But I do not want to go to another clinic and start everything over. Egg freezing should take months, not a year! I wish someone could help me decide. Update: I transferred to Columbia Fertility Associates in Washington, DC. It is a long drive, but entirely worthwhile for the peace of mind that everything is proceeding as planned.

I had a great new patient visit with Dr. Mark Payson. He took his time to go over my entire medical history, discuss potential treatment options and explained in great detail the procedures and tests that would need be involved for each potential option. He has a great bedside manner and is a wonderful conversationalist. I feel very comfortable in his care. Highly recommended!

If I could give a “0,” I would, and this has nothing to do with Dr. Payson. It concerns the team, finance staff, and care coordinators. It is extremely frustrating, and they do not respect me as a patient. Naturally I have questions, but their only communication channel is the Salve app. Messages promise a response within 24 hours, but I waited more than 48. It feels like speaking with a robot rather than a person. A nurse called me only once. You may never see the team outside the Salve app. If you need to speak with a real person rather than communicate in writing through their app, this is not the right facility. However, I trust Dr. Payson and have already paid. 😖 I do not want these unprofessional team members to make an error during my treatment. But this is also not the right facility if you want a compassionate team or expect to have questions throughout the process. The stress this team caused has delayed treatment; I hope I will not need to research another clinic.

Dr. Carter Owen was made for this specialty. Being a fertility specialist requires a different kind of doctor. You need to be realistic yet caring—she knows how to do both while making you feel empowered. She made me feel that all my hopes of having a child could be realized. She developed a sensible plan. I will return to update my review because I am at the beginning of my journey, but I have renewed hope!

I had the most wonderful experience at this clinic. The team of doctors is outstanding, especially Dr. Owen! The nursing staff are highly knowledgeable and streamline treatment so it proceeds as smoothly as possible. The doctors and entire staff put every patient's best interests first, and their results prove it. My husband and I went through 3 egg retrievals and 2 transfers... and now we have a healthy 4-month-old baby girl. CCRM is arguably the best fertility clinic in the country. If you are seeking results, I would not recommend anywhere else. This is where professionalism and success come together.

Administration and billing are a nightmare. They made the process as difficult as possible, provided incorrect information, issued incorrect charges, made many paperwork errors, lost paperwork and misplaced blood tests, made insurance billing errors that caused denials and unnecessary out-of-pocket expenses or failure to obtain prior authorization for medication, disrupted appointments, raised prices afterward, and made us repeat tests again and again even though there was no risk. The way they handled—or failed to handle—the process made it one of the most stressful periods of my life, even before complications occurred! I initially thought the doctor was good, but there was no follow-up afterward, although I do not know whether that is common. I ultimately developed a life-threatening complication requiring emergency surgery. The only positive was that the egg retrieval procedure went smoothly.
