    Choosing Dr. Tharinee Saengianpompaneech, Dr. Gib, for my cataract surgery was the right decision. Beforehand, I was very worried about the postoperative period. I needed the operated eye covered overnight, and because I can see through only one eye, I needed to stay in the hospital overnight. My concerns were understandable. I would be completely blind for 24 hours, and I am single and live alone. I therefore made the following requests: - Before surgery, I wanted to become familiar with the room and memorize its dimensions and the locations of the door, bathroom, path to the bed, sofa, refrigerator, and so on. - I wanted the doctor to shorten the time my eye remained covered. I was not disappointed! Everyone, from the doctor and nurses to the hospital staff, was exceptional. Before surgery, I could move freely around the room and relax, and my eye was covered for only 4 hours. Wonderful! I had no concerns about Dr. Gib’s treatment. I watched some of her videos and can say that her work is meticulous and completely reassuring.

    I moved to Bangkok, and Bangkok Hospital’s healthcare system is amazing!!!!! BDMS is also excellent!!! The medical staff at this hospital are incredibly attentive, and I am deeply grateful! The doctors take time to communicate with me. I recently had a minor procedure in the ENT department, where the care and service were first-rate. Special recognition goes to Sureerat, an ENT nurse who was outstanding! Sureerat was attentive, thoughtful, and friendly throughout my treatment.

    Today I took my child to Bangkok Hospital for an allergy shot, and I was very satisfied with the service, especially Kevin, who cared for and vaccinated Pun Boon today. Kevin was kind, calm, approachable, and excellent with children. He spoke to Pun Boon, distracted him, helped him relax, and even gave him chocolate as a reward! I came for obstetric care and feel very fortunate to have been treated by her. The ward nurses provided good postoperative care. The other staff were adequate.

The delivery room service was attentive, and the postpartum and neonatal units on the 14th floor (14D) were equally outstanding.     I, Jetnipit Limprasert, went to Bangkok Hospital for wound care. Dr. Nitiphon in trauma surgery specializes in burns, difficult-to-heal wounds, and chronic wounds. He also treats patients burned in bar fires. I have received treatment twice: first 10 years ago and again 3 months ago, and I am still continuing treatment. He is a surgeon I admire. He is highly skilled, and I trust his technique. He assesses wounds very precisely. Whenever I have a problem, I continue to see him because I have great confidence in his skills.

    Based on my experience at the hospital during my mother's treatment for gangrene and neurological conditions, along with follow-up by cardiology and respiratory doctors and subsequent physical therapy, I consider this an excellent hospital because of the results achieved—first by the grace of God, for which all praise and thanks are due, and second through the efforts of the medical team, including the doctors, nurses, and every hospital staff member without exception. They were cooperative, respectful, and worked very hard. It was also wonderful to have a health office affiliated with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates that continuously monitored the patient's condition. They also deserve our thanks and praise.

    At the children's clinic, the doctors and nurses are lovely if you are admitted as an inpatient. However, no matter how many times I visit, reception is disappointing. The service is disorganized and delayed by several hours—worse than waiting at a public hospital. There is no follow-up, communication, or service-mindedness. Not recommended.

    Bangkok Hospital is one of the best hospitals I have ever visited. It has excellent facilities and medical equipment. There is no need to wait until the next day or stand in line for medical reports. The nurses tell you exactly when your report will be ready. Within a few hours, nearly everything exceeded my expectations. From the moment I first entered the hospital, someone was there to help from the beginning of the consultation to the end. I highly recommend Bangkok Hospital.     October update: I developed more symptoms after being injected with a toxic substance that doctors told me was ‘safe.’ Avoid this fraudulent hospital, which lacks standards and professionalism, at all costs. September 2024 update: I concluded that the hospital essentially forced me to undergo unnecessary procedures that caused serious medical harm because they profited from them. I was pressured into an MRI costing three times as much as elsewhere and gadolinium contrast at a dose higher than appropriate for my weight. The doctor said gadolinium would leave my body within 24 hours, which was false. The doctors and radiologists lacked the information and training to understand that gadolinium is often retained. Peer-reviewed research discusses this, and in 2024 the FDA updated warnings requiring hospitals to disclose the information so patients can choose whether they want contrast. I had no choice. On the day after my first visit in Thailand, I was told to have an MRI. They said nothing about contrast, only that they would inject something to enhance the images, without disclosing the risks. I have had severe symptoms for six months, beginning days after the MRI, and now believe a toxic heavy metal is retained in my body. Thailand does not recognize gadolinium risks and lacks testing technology, yet it is routinely given during MRI scans. I repeatedly saw their leading neurologists, who dismissed my symptoms as ‘anxiety’ and continued prescribing drugs because they profited. The doctors refused to acknowledge that my symptoms followed their failure to disclose the risks of gadolinium, risks they themselves did not understand. August 2024 update: When I first came in March, they tried to prescribe every possible drug so I would pay $$$. They gave me many medications—antibiotics, antivirals, corticosteroids, neuroleptics, and five others—which damaged my immune system, hormones, and whole-body homeostasis. I now experience chronic neurological and immune side effects every day. I recently paid $200 to see a neurologist who would not listen, prescribed more medication, and dismissed everything as ‘anxiety,’ lmao. I had a brain injury in March, but he called it ‘anxiety and your own thoughts’ and made no effort to investigate related problems. The doctors do not know what they are doing and nearly ruined me. Original post: This hospital is a money-making scam with questionable ‘experts.’ No doctor knew what was wrong. They pushed me from one ‘doctor’ to another, prescribed many drugs without a diagnosis, and ordered more tests that found nothing—apparently just to take my money. When I tried to communicate in English, no one understood. They politely ignored what I said while pretending to understand. Their reports were so poorly written that they did not summarize my problems, and I could barely understand them. Prices are absurd for the quality and ‘expertise’ provided. I had insurance problems because the reports did not accurately describe the symptoms I reported. I came to Bangkok for treatment and received this. Avoid this hospital scam. The doctors’ expertise is questionable. They seem unconcerned about foreign patients because they assume they will never see them again and only want their money.

    I am the mother of a child with a developmental disorder. To help my son, who had dropped out of school, I looked for a reliable psychiatrist in Thailand. When I heard that a school in Japan recommended Dr. Cholapat, I consulted him. My son had previously attended a Japanese free school called ‘Ito Yukihiro Juku,’ renamed Truant Restart Japan after an assault. There, other dormitory students bullied and assaulted him, and the school covered it up. After I complained, Dr. Cholapat diagnosed him with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). When I requested a detailed PTSD certificate for the police, he suddenly became incoherent and said he could not write one. My son later developed severe obsessive-compulsive symptoms, a typical secondary condition. When I requested a medical certificate, the doctor blamed the OCD on his mother because our household consisted only of my son and me. If secondary disabilities from developmental disorders were that simple, no medical examination would be needed. My son’s father also has a developmental disorder and has described himself as having psychopathic tendencies. This is a complex issue requiring careful specialist assessment, so I could not believe the doctor made such an extreme statement. I had discussed this at a previous examination. I was shocked that a psychiatrist could tell a single mother raising a child with developmental disabilities abroad that living alone with her son made everything her fault. I subsequently developed an adjustment disorder myself. I absolutely do not recommend this doctor and want to sue him. Also, our Thai interpreter sometimes spoke no Japanese. At times the interpreter did not understand basic Japanese words, requiring further explanation. I ultimately spoke with the doctor in English. I will never return to this hospital.

    I experienced a medical accident at another branch. I asked them to provide my original medical records, but they refused. They even altered my medical records after the accident. I repeatedly informed Bangkok Hospital headquarters and the hospital director, but they refused to act. Headquarters even refused further contact with me. Do not use the term 'headquarters.'     The system for reviewing test history is very poor. I called to schedule a glucose test. When we arrived, they would have forgotten to give me the glucose drink if we had not asked. I had been here before and needed blood drawn twice because they forgot I needed blood drawn for another test. At these prices, this level of management makes no sense.

    My mother was hospitalized for 4 days and discharged without special treatment. I was shocked by a ¥1.03 million bill. A Thai person later told me that medicine sold for 20B at a Bangkok pharmacy had been billed at 1,500B. My family had used this hospital for more than ten years, but I learned that they make money like gangsters. It feels more like a business than a hospital. Two months earlier, the same treatment paid 100% out of pocket at a Bangkok hospital cost ¥15,000, while elsewhere in East Asia it had cost only ¥1,100. This hospital's charges are extremely high.

    I arranged a full-body checkup and spine consultation for my 17-year-old daughter. The examination process was good, and I liked it. However, the spine consultation was a waste of time. I came from Oman for my daughter's examination and paid 2,000 baht. The spine doctor, who looked Chinese, was not helpful at all. I had to ask many questions to get him to speak, and he simply agreed with me without providing any consultation. He insisted that we needed an X-ray there even though her scoliosis was already severe. When a patient pays a consultation fee, the doctor should properly do the job. The general checkup was normal, similar to what we receive in the Gulf, with nothing special. The doctors seemed similar to those in Oman. The hospital should instruct its doctors to provide proper consultations even when testing was done elsewhere. A paid consultation should include useful advice, not silence. I will never return to this hospital's spine department.

    The doctor gave excellent advice, but there was a system problem during payment, so the medical certificate could not be printed and I had to wait a long time. Because I needed it for work, I waited until I was told to go downstairs to eat. While I was eating, the department called to say the printout was ready. The lovely nurse ran down and brought it to the restaurant. She handled the situation very well, knowing that I use a wheelchair and had come alone. Overall, I was very impressed.

    My daughter was ill, and the nurse showed her every step of the procedure. After one round of anesthesia, she was able to have her nose suctioned. Her mother could encourage her throughout. The nurse said we could come watch the little one have the suction and offer encouragement, so 4 people went in to help one another. There was a small cart she could ride, and the surrounding area was spacious. If symptoms improved, we could go downstairs for a walk. Her private doctor, Dr. Phonthep, was kind and lovely and did not rush the examination. ‼️ I have only one comment for management: the blankets provided in the room were like 2 thin three-foot towels and were not suitable for young children. They should be replaced. Everything else was done very well.

    I am always impressed when I bring my grandmother to see Khun Kamor. Nong Nit messages me to remind me of the appointment 2-3 days in advance, and also welcomes us when we arrive without an appointment. We have cared for one another for 10 years. She is kind, polite, service-minded, solves immediate problems well, and most importantly has an excellent attitude. I respectfully ask management to promote Nong Nit at the front desk and use her as an example for staff development. I believe a little ant can help an elephant, and the lion will become stronger and better.     A terrible hospital in every sense: delays, dreadful procedures, very high prices for nothing, and almost no security. Our iPhone was lost and could not be recovered. Through the Find My iPhone app, it appeared to be in the possession of a hospital employee, as it left the hospital every day and returned to the same place. No matter whom you called, there was no response. We filed a police report, but unfortunately it was useless because of the negligence and poor management of the hospital, security staff, and camera personnel. Unfortunately, this was a failed experience. There are much better hospitals.
