Dr. Katler and EVERYONE at SGF are amazing!! Everyone is thorough, knowledgeable, incredible kind, and supportive. I came in with a dream and walked out with an 8 week ultrasound -couldn't be more grateful.
22/06/2025
Dr. Katler and Racheal were wonderful! They answered every question and kept us comfortable and informed throughout. We are very grateful for their work and attentive care.
12/06/2025
Dr. Katler and our RN coordinator Racheal Huff made our SGF experience easy, straightforward, and stress-free. They always communicated compassionately, were attentive, and responded quickly.
11/06/2025
Racheal was patient with all my questions and always ready and willing to help. She made our journey much easier, and I am very grateful to her!
06/06/2025
Dr. Katler and his team are absolutely amazing! Our fertility journey has been a roller coaster, but they have always been patient and helpful. We had a procedure today, and the two registered nurses who helped us were angels! If you are going through a fertility journey, I highly recommend this team. We will always be grateful to you ❤️
18/07/2025
Dr. Libby was amazing throughout our fertility journey- kind, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. We always felt heard and cared for. The lab technicians and ultrasound techs (Buckhead and Northside) were just as wonderful- so warm, professional, and reassuring. We’re truly grateful for the whole team and everything they did to help us grow our family. Highly recommend!
16/07/2025
Dr. Katler and nurse Racheal were amazing! They were very kind and understanding and always explained the reasons behind my progress. I currently have leukemia, so we did not know what the outcome would be, but they always encouraged me and cared about my condition. Given my circumstances, we achieved an excellent result. I am so glad I chose SGF, and especially glad to have been treated by Dr. Katler and Racheal!

From the start of our journey, the entire team at Shady Grove Fertility in Atlanta demonstrated exceptional quality. Dr. Brahma and nurse practitioner Mary Claire provided not only expert medical care, but also confidence and hope, which were essential during such a personal treatment process. Their warmth and professionalism set the tone for our entire experience. Our nurses Taylor and Abbie were consistently kind, attentive, and responsive, always available to answer questions, reassure us, and guide us through each step. Our technician Christine brought a calm and uplifting energy to every appointment, making even the most stressful moments easier. Special thanks to our phlebotomist Sharon, one of the kindest and most skilled professionals I have met. Her gentle approach and unmatched expertise made blood draws effortless, which is no small feat. This team perfectly combines compassion with clinical excellence. We are endlessly grateful for their care, commitment, and the way they treated us throughout our fertility journey.
10/07/2025
Dr. Katler was wonderful and gave us attentive care throughout the IVF process. He provided personalized care, and his team communicated clearly and smoothly. Appointments at the Sandy Springs clinic never involved long waits, and driving there and parking were convenient.
08/07/2025
I had a wonderful experience at Shady Grove Fertility Lake Hearn! The staff were caring, kind, professional, helpful, and responsive. The clinic was clean and comfortable. My doctor, Dr. Quinton Katler, was amazing!! He was very caring, responsive, and an excellent communicator. He never made us feel rushed or overlooked and always answered all our questions in as much detail as possible. The SGF staff and Dr. Katler responded very promptly through the patient portal, which was extremely useful and convenient. We are now expecting our baby girl!! Overall, I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Katler to everyone!
29/07/2025
The entire SGF Atlanta staff is wonderful. Many people were involved in our FET, and we are very grateful! Katie was the most caring nurse every time we came for an ultrasound. Dr. Libby was outstanding—she coordinated our transfer, and Dr. Brahma ultimately performed it over the weekend. Everyone we met deserves a 10/10 rating.
29/07/2025
I live outside Atlanta... Clinic fees are already expensive, and this clinic also charges for parking. My condition required me to visit every day, and the parking fee is not fixed. The staff work slowly, so the parking cost becomes excessive at $2 every 20 minutes. I think it would be better to choose another clinic.
23/07/2025
Overall, the medical care I received here was good. My doctors were excellent, although some instructions were unclear or incorrect and required clarification from support staff. However, communication with the finance department was extremely difficult. My financial counselor was not proactive, and the billing department did not help correct the issue in the end, leaving me very uncomfortable with the experience. My treatment ended 5 months ago, and I am still regularly trying to obtain insurance reimbursement. I followed every instruction from the financial counselor and billing department but continue going in circles. My insurer says the information the billing department gave them conflicts with what the department told me. This is extremely frustrating and makes it feel as though the organization has made no effort to ease patients' financial concerns. In addition to making reimbursement difficult, they billed my insurer twice for several visits, and I had to request that the charges be reversed before I could continue seeking reimbursement.
25/08/2025
If you are looking for personalized, professional care that values accountability, avoid a nurse like Laura. In expensive and highly specialized medical care, someone like Laura should not hold such an important role. If she cannot relay information accurately and communicate with patients promptly, she needs a different work environment. The office manager, Fan, also covers for Laura and makes excuses for her, which not only perpetuates poor patient experiences but also harms the clinic's overall image, including that of its professional doctors.

Dr. Libby and her team were wonderful throughout my egg-freezing process!
12/08/2025
I wish I could say this was a great experience, but that would be a lie. Every step at this clinic was extremely stressful. Because Shady Grove did not send the correct documents to my insurance company, obtaining financial approval was enormously stressful. It took me 5 weeks and hours of phone calls to resolve the financial issues. At my first meeting with the doctor, I said I would love to choose whether my first child was a boy or girl. He replied, "Your child can choose their own gender." I was so shocked that I barely knew how to continue the conversation. This was completely inappropriate for a first meeting where I was simply trying to understand the IVF process. During my 14-day IVF cycle, I was passed among 9 different nurses who did not communicate with one another. I ran out of medication after 9 days, yet the doctor told me it was my responsibility to track my progress. Their most shocking error occurred as I was being wheeled into the operating room. They gave me a form to sign stating that I wanted an immediate transfer, when I actually wanted to freeze the embryos. Thankfully, I caught the error; otherwise, who knows what would have happened to my eggs after the procedure. Overall, this was an extremely disorganized and stressful experience. If I pursue a second round, I will go to another clinic.
04/08/2025
The team is amazing! I am very grateful to everyone, including my nurse, Jimena Smith. Her patient care was impeccable and truly put me at ease.
02/08/2025
Dr. Cutler, nurse Rachel Huff, and all the nurses on staff made this experience easy and pleasant. They were wonderful. I am very grateful for their kindness and care toward my husband and me. Thanks to Dr. Cutler, we are now expecting our first child and could not be happier.
05/09/2025
SGF is amazing!!! I am 23 and decided to freeze my eggs because of endometriosis and an unexpected cancer diagnosis. After chemotherapy began, Dr. Katler and Alanna were incredibly helpful and enabled me to start the process quickly. Dr. Katler was very knowledgeable about contraception during chemotherapy and how to optimize my fertility, which was a huge relief. Alanna was also responsive and helpful with my many questions. On egg retrieval day, Karen was kind and helpful and made the entire process very smooth! One doctor at the Alpharetta clinic performed my ultrasounds throughout, while another performed the procedure. Both were happy to discuss my treatment in detail, and the genuine care they showed for patients who were not even “theirs” was wonderful. Everyone I met on the SGF team was attentive, thoughtful, and kind in a way I had not experienced at many other clinics. They made the IVF process exceptionally smooth after every previous step had felt like pulling teeth! I do not plan to have children soon, but I am 100% certain SGF will be there when the time comes! I highly recommend this team!

It is really hard to put into words how much Shady Grove means to us! Dr. Kanter, Cara & Rebecca are the reason we have our little miracle baby! Throughout our IUI/IVF journey, these 3 made us extremely comfortable, explained everything in great detail, cheered us on & truly treated us like family. The communication was top notch which was very important to both me and my husband. Everyone in the Atlanta office was so caring & kind, we couldn’t have had a better experience! I had tears in my eyes leaving our graduation appointment because Dr. Kanter, Cara, Rebecca & everyone else at SGF really touched our lives & single-handedly are the reason we have our precious boy today! We’re forever thankful for SGF Atlanta! Edited Nov 2025: We are back again at SGF for baby #2 and still receiving the very best care! From Dr Kanter, Rebecca, Cara, Suzy, Crystal, Amy, Sharon, Ingrid, Kristin, Audreaka… these sweet ladies are like family! SGF is hands down, the very best!

I cannot put into words how grateful I am to Shady Grove Fertility in Sandy Springs, Atlanta, Georgia. From the moment I entered the clinic, every staff member provided tremendous support, care, and professional service. Dr. Pavna Brahma was outstanding—thorough, patient, and genuinely committed to helping me through this difficult journey. Special thanks to Amy Stewart, the team lead at Shady Grove Fertility, who helped me immensely throughout the process. Amy always made me feel welcome and cared for. On one especially difficult day, she went above and beyond to ensure I felt supported and reassured. Her kindness and empathy meant so much to me. I am very grateful to have had this team by my side. I highly recommend Shady Grove Fertility to anyone seeking excellent medical care.
10/11/2025
Dr. Cutler and everyone at Shady Grove are amazing! Alanna, the fertility nurse coordinator, always patiently answered my many questions. I also formed a wonderful connection with Sharon in the lab, who always encouraged me, and I will forever be grateful to her. My wife and I cannot thank Dr. Cutler enough. We began this family-building journey two years ago. As a lesbian couple, we felt completely comfortable and accepted at Shady Grove—everyone at SGF made us feel welcome. We recommend Shady Grove 100%; if you need fertility care, consider SGF.

Jimena is an amazing nurse, and I hope to see her every time I go there!

My journey at SGF has been remarkable. I was diagnosed with multiple uterine fibroids. Because of their type and location, I had no chance of becoming pregnant. Dr. Cutler and his team stayed with my partner and me throughout our two-year journey. My condition seemed beyond repair. My uterine lining had multiple areas of scar tissue and several fibroids. But Dr. Cutler was amazing: through 4 hysteroscopies, he reconstructed and optimized my uterine lining. For two of them, he referred me to Dr. Wesney Barnes at Northside Hospital, who performed two surgeries. This was between late 2023 and 2024. In December 2024, I had an unsuccessful IVF cycle. During our second IVF cycle in May 2025, we had a positive pregnancy test but miscarried when my beta levels began to fall. Dr. Cutler continued to encourage us and offered other options. Today is October 2025, and I am 12 weeks pregnant. I conceived naturally, by God’s will. Dr. Cutler called this pregnancy a miracle and said he believed there was still hope. Before I transferred to my current OB-GYN, Dr. Cutler took excellent care of me during the first few weeks of pregnancy. I pray and hope to make it safely through all 40 weeks. I hope this gives hope to anyone reading. Thank you to Dr. Cutler and his team for walking this path with us. SGF is the place to go.
18/12/2025
This review is for our outstanding financial counselor, Ashley M. She went above and beyond to explain every option in detail and patiently answered every question, even repeatedly during the same call. She never hesitated to schedule another call when needed. Ashley is knowledgeable and confident, which made us more confident in our decisions. We greatly appreciate her support as we began with Shady Grove!
12/12/2025
The three women at the front desk were extremely rude. Their harsh words and attitude made check-in feel like I was a burden, so I would rather drive elsewhere. I regret choosing this location.
11/12/2025
My wife and I had an amazing experience at Shady Grove Fertility. The entire team was professional, warm, friendly, and positive. Everyone made us comfortable and genuinely cared for. They gave us confidence at every step and were always ready to answer any question. SGF represents excellence in fertility care—a special place where dreams of parenthood can become reality. Thank you to everyone at SGF. We look forward to seeing you again in a month. 💕
27/11/2025
My husband and I had an excellent experience at SGF and recommend them to everyone. Dr. Katler and his team were knowledgeable, trustworthy, and compassionate. My nurses were responsive and encouraging and genuinely cared about my experience. Everyone at the Lake Hearn and Marietta clinics made follow-up visits easier and supported us whatever happened. Thanks to SGF, we are now expecting our double-rainbow baby. I would give them six stars if I could!
10/01/2026
Shady Grove Fertility has been the best for me and my family. After fertility challenges and some unpleasant care experiences, Dr. McCarthy Keith and her team helped my husband and me have two wonderful children. This Atlanta clinic has caring nurses, knowledgeable staff, attentive nurse practitioners, welcoming front desk staff, and the very best doctor, Dr. McCarthy-Keith. My nurse, Laura Peters, was also outstanding. We will always be grateful to Shady Grove Fertility for helping us build our family.
06/01/2026
Dr. Quinton Cutler is amazing! He is kind, compassionate, and approachable—all qualities I value in a doctor. I have recommended Dr. Cutler to friends and will continue to do so. His team is equally outstanding. I am very grateful for their attentive care. We always felt reassured. Thanks to him and his team, we look forward to welcoming our first baby this year!

Our experience here was absolutely wonderful! After two years of trying, Dr. Katler and his outstanding team helped us achieve our dream of having a baby! ❤️ We sincerely thank Dr. Katler, his team, and everyone at Shady Grove. Everyone at SGF is exceptionally kind and helpful. Thank you, thank you! ❤️❤️

Dr. Katler and Alanna are a dream team! My husband and I will always be grateful to them. For 14 months, I sought help without finding answers about infertility. Anyone who has experienced infertility knows that eventually you may feel self-blame and anger. All those negative emotions and worries disappeared after the first visit. Dr. Katler immediately created a testing plan and then a treatment plan when the results arrived. I have never met a doctor who listened so carefully to my history and explained things so patiently. Alanna was the same. They made a difficult and frightening process a thousand times better than we expected. I was also fortunate to work with the SGF Marietta team. Everyone was positive, encouraging, and considerate throughout.
16/02/2026
Dr. Katler appears compassionate—until accountability is required. In 2024, I began treatment at Shady Grove after being told I had ‘plenty of time’ and qualified for the shared-risk program. That representation influenced my decision to proceed. After losing my full-term baby at 37 weeks, I returned within one month to continue IVF planning. Over the next several months, requirements changed and eligibility limits were disclosed late. About seven months later, I was told I no longer qualified for shared risk because of an AMH cutoff and an age limit under 41, even though I was under 41 and these criteria had not been clearly disclosed when treatment began. The most serious issue arose after I formally withdrew from care. On February 12 at 3:00 p.m., Dr. Katler called about a negative review I had posted on the day I stopped treatment. He described a revised fertility plan and said he had a proposal for my husband and me. The discussion then shifted to how the review affected him personally. He said recovery would take a long time and nobody had ever ‘done this to him.’ He asked me to remove the review. I deleted it after he said he would follow up about treatment planning. I agreed to hear him out but made clear that I had already found another physician. On February 13 at 3:22 p.m., after I had left the practice and while my husband was hospitalized, Dr. Katler called again. The call focused on his reaction to the review, not my care. I repeated that I was uncomfortable continuing with him and had found another doctor. He said he was too emotional to remain objective and could not continue as my physician. The call lasted more than twenty minutes and centered on his feelings about the now-deleted review. I reminded him that he was the physician and I was the patient and suggested he seek appropriate help instead of discussing his emotional distress with me. I ended the call and returned to the hospital, where he knew my husband was. A physician contacting a former patient to discuss personal distress over a review, asking for its removal during treatment discussions, and admitting an inability to remain objective reflects serious lapses in professional boundaries and judgment. I reported this matter to Shady Grove administration and the Georgia Composite Medical Board. Patients deserve physicians who remain objective and composed and clearly separate personal reputation from patient care.

Thank you, nurses Taneka, Sarah, Payal, and Vinetra!
15/03/2026
Thank you so much to the entire Shady Grove team for a flawless experience from start to finish! I am sincerely grateful to Dr. Katler, Dr. Julia, Dr. Rachael, Dr. Anna, and the highly skilled doctor who performed my procedure. I arrived feeling like a customer and left feeling like family. Words cannot express how grateful I am for your warmth and care. With love, LeeAnn
28/02/2026
We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Brahma and her outstanding team at Shady Grove. With their guidance, expertise, and support, we welcomed two beautiful babies and completed our family. From the beginning, everyone we met was caring, patient, and genuinely invested in our journey. At every step, they made a potentially overwhelming fertility journey feel supportive and hopeful. We are deeply grateful for this experience and will always remember the attentive care they provided.

The staff were amazing! Dr. MK is the best, and I am very grateful to her. During my egg retrieval, nurses Janice, Taneka, and Venetra took excellent care of me. They were highly professional and explained everything very thoroughly. I cannot thank them enough.

After a long and emotional journey, we wanted to share our experience at this clinic in hopes of helping others on a similar path. From the beginning, the clinic staff made us feel welcome and supported. Everyone we met was kind, patient, and genuinely caring, which mattered greatly during an often overwhelming fertility journey. Our doctor, Dr. Katler, was outstanding—knowledgeable, compassionate, and always willing to answer our questions and guide us through each step. My nurse, Alanna, was also very kind and helpful. Our journey was not easy. We had 2 unsuccessful IUIs, and our first IVF transfer ended in miscarriage, which was heartbreaking. Even then, the entire team remained understanding and encouraging. We are now nearly 11 weeks pregnant after our second IVF transfer. We are so glad we did not give up and deeply grateful to have had this team of doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, and everyone else beside us. If you are looking for excellent medical care combined with genuine compassion, we wholeheartedly recommend Shady Grove Fertility. The fertility journey is not always smooth, but having an outstanding care team makes all the difference. My husband and I will always be grateful to Dr. Katler and his team.
02/04/2026
Your kindness, professionalism, and dedication have not gone unnoticed. You did not just provide medical care—you gave me reassurance, encouragement, and strength when I needed it most. Thank you for being such an important part of this journey and for helping make something so meaningful possible in my life. I will always be grateful.
02/04/2026
I had an excellent experience at Shady Grove. Dr. Katler and the entire medical staff were highly professional, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all my questions. From egg retrieval and hysteroscopy to embryo transfer, every doctor made me feel valued and understood. The ultrasound technicians and phlebotomists were also outstanding. I felt completely confident in the entire team. Thank you all so much!
29/03/2026
Words cannot express our gratitude to Shady Grove Fertility. Thanks to their exceptional expertise and attentive care, we are eagerly awaiting our rainbow baby. We will always be grateful that they helped us build our family. After 5 years of infertility and countless setbacks, we finally found the help we needed with Dr. Katler and Alanna. Dr. Katler created a treatment plan tailored to our needs and always explained every step patiently and clearly. Whether he called personally to check on us or took the time to answer our many questions, we always felt respected and cared for, not treated as just another patient. The most memorable moment of our journey was graduation day, when both Dr. Katler and Alanna were there to see our little baby on ultrasound and celebrate with us. It is a memory we will cherish forever. Their kindness and professionalism changed our lives, and we highly recommend them. That kindness extended to everyone at Shady Grove. From the welcoming front desk staff and friendly ultrasound and laboratory technicians to the embryologists and clinicians working behind the scenes, everyone made our fertility journey feel personal and caring. We are thrilled to meet our rainbow baby in a few weeks and will always treasure this wonderful experience.
25/03/2026
We are incredibly grateful to Shady Grove Fertility. Their entire team is wonderful. From the welcoming front desk staff to the nurses and everyone involved, the service was impeccable. We were fortunate to begin treatment under Dr. Katler's care, and we could not be happier. From the start, he demonstrated extensive expertise and made sure every possible test was performed to improve the chances of a successful embryo transfer. The treatment plan felt personalized, and we genuinely felt that he was doing everything possible to help us succeed. He often called personally to ask how I was feeling, explain our progress, and answer all our questions and concerns. I am now pregnant and eagerly awaiting our baby's arrival. We are deeply grateful. I recommend Shady Grove Fertility and Dr. Katler 100%. If we decide to try for another pregnancy in the future, we will definitely return to this clinic and doctor. Thank you for helping make our dream come true.
17/05/2026
My egg retrieval here went very smoothly. All the nurses were kind and explained everything clearly. The anesthesiologist was also very pleasant. The procedure began on time. Everything from check-in to departure was perfect.
13/05/2026
The clinic's name says it all: unreliable. My wife and I tried twice after our first IVF cycle failed. The second attempt felt rushed and unprofessional, with poor communication and little guidance. They were supposed to discharge my wife at 9 weeks, although they should actually have followed her through 10 weeks. They did not recommend an OB-GYN, explain when to stop medication, or provide any guidance or instructions. They simply wished her luck, as though they had taken our money and she was no longer their responsibility. I could say much more, but overall we are extremely disappointed and angry. Please go elsewhere; you can find much better care.
11/05/2026
Dr. Cutler and his team are wonderful. They patiently guided us through every step and were always available to answer questions. The entire process was smooth, including testing, scheduling, and planning the next steps. We did encounter some authorization issues with the billing team, but they resolved them immediately after I raised my concerns. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I am very grateful to the team.
05/05/2026
Words cannot express how grateful we are to have found Dr. Quinton Cutler. His knowledge and expertise are exceptional, but what we admire most is his genuine concern for his patients. He is fully invested in your recovery, listens patiently to your story, and guides every decision with clarity and empathy. What touched us most was his personal care. He called to ask how we were doing, reassured us, and answered our questions, which meant a great deal. It is rare to find a doctor who is both highly skilled and deeply compassionate. The entire team is equally outstanding: welcoming, responsive, and helpful. Special recognition goes to Ms. Devi Pratt in the billing department, who helped us resolve a very complex insurance issue. She spent hours on calls with me and my insurance company and reviewed dozens of claims. She went far beyond her responsibilities, and we are extremely grateful. Thank you, SGF!
29/04/2026
Kirstin is very helpful and always warm and friendly whenever I see her. I truly appreciate her!
16/06/2026
The staff were friendly and professional when I visited the clinic. However, the clinic's internal processes, communication, procedures, and accountability need improvement. We have encountered many problems since our doctor referred us here. Initially, the referrals for my spouse and me were faxed at the same time. The clinic received my spouse's referral but somehow did not receive mine. I later emailed my referral directly, but the clinic still could not locate the one my doctor originally sent. I also provided my insurance information because my insurance covers the procedure, but the clinic still charged me the self-pay rate. My spouse's first appointment was in early May. We were told the results would be available within two to three days. Nearly a month has passed, and we still have not received them. We paid for this appointment out of pocket. People come to this clinic during difficult times seeking help, answers, and hope. Delays, poor communication, and billing problems only add to the stress they already face. We simply want clear communication, accurate billing, and timely access to the information we were promised.
02/06/2026
I did not like that Dr. Canter never called to tell me the results.
23/05/2026
The doctors and nurses are excellent, but other departments, such as scheduling and billing, need significant improvement. The patient experience feels disjointed.
13/06/2025
I came here for daily blood draws while my physician was based at the main Sandy Springs office. Courtney, Jada, and everyone else were excellent—warm, kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They put you at ease and encourage you. Highly recommended!

Do not waste your time, money, or emotional energy. During intake they treat you like royalty, but once you are an established patient, communication becomes very difficult and responses take 10 business days. I missed 2 cycles in which I could have tried IUI. There is substantial staff turnover, and they do not tell you who your new contact person is.
29/09/2024
Buckhead is the SGF office nearest me, so I probably would have visited it most often regardless, but I want to say that Princess is an excellent phlebotomist. I have blood drawn frequently and it is never enjoyable, but Princess gets it right quickly every time, and it is essentially painless. She also has a cheerful, bright personality that makes the process a little easier. I just wanted to recognize her!
25/09/2024
10/10 experience. I had a terrible morning, and this team was wonderful. Thank you, Princess and Ginita!!!
30/06/2025
Everyone is entitled to their own perspective, especially with something as personal and emotional as fertility treatment, but at the Buckhead clinic, you quickly notice what makes this team different. Courtney always greets me with a genuine smile and calls me by name. It may seem small, but it truly sets the tone. She is always happy to follow up with my doctor or team when needed. Anna is undoubtedly the best sonographer. Her calm demeanor eases my anxiety, something you deeply appreciate when having an ultrasound every other day. Jada is always sincere and very gentle when drawing blood. No one would choose to go through this journey, but I am sincerely grateful for the care from this clinic's team. Every answered question, reassuring smile, and even conversation with other patients in the waiting room made the process feel a little easier. You should always choose what is right for you, but if you are reading reviews and remain undecided, I can honestly say Shady Grove Fertility is a good choice.

You give them $30,000, and they still do not validate parking.

Shady Grove’s billing practices are as opaque as its name suggests. In July, they continued charging us for services we should not have had to pay for. We have spoken with them 6 times and were assured each time that the charges would be removed. We are still receiving bills and threats that the account will be sent to collections. Use Shady Grove at your own risk.

I came to Shady Grove Fertility seeking clear guidance and professional medical advice, not to rush into fertility treatment. Instead, the process felt hurried and agenda-driven. Although we clearly said we were not actively trying to conceive, the conversation quickly moved to invasive testing, IVF procedures, and costs. Repeated emphasis on broad insurance coverage made the process feel more like a sales funnel than personalized medical care. Communication seemed focused on moving us into treatment rather than hearing our wishes and priorities. My partner was also abruptly drawn into decision-making in a way that felt uncomfortable and unnecessary in the circumstances. This clinic may suit patients ready to begin fertility treatment quickly, but those seeking thoughtful, appropriately paced, patient-centered care may find the environment overwhelming.

Starting a fertility journey was probably the last thing I wanted to do. We had tried for nearly three years, but seeing an infertility specialist felt overwhelming and discouraging. From the moment I met Dr. Libby, she completely changed my mindset and perspective. She made the process as pleasant as possible and offered endless encouragement and support. Graduating from her practice was bittersweet because I enjoyed working with her so much. I cannot recommend Dr. Libby and SGF highly enough to anyone struggling with infertility. They were an enormous blessing to my husband and me.

This will be long, so buckle up. I do not usually write negative reviews of businesses, but this has weighed on me for a long time and I feel compelled to share my story. Last spring, because of fertility concerns, my husband’s urologist referred him to Dr. Libby at Shady Grove for evaluation. We also had a consultation with Dr. Libby to determine whether we were IVF candidates if that became necessary. Unfortunately, IVF was our only option because of my husband’s condition. She said his semen analysis looked good but wanted a second analysis to confirm the numbers, and that IVF was the best approach. She strongly recommended genetic testing of our embryos. We were new to this and agreed. She also recommended carrier-screening blood tests to see whether we shared any genetic abnormalities. Again, we did not understand the implications and followed her advice. I asked whether insurance covered it, and she said it basically always did. We agreed because I feared skipping an important step and trusted her recommendation as our physician. I was very wrong. We now owe Natera thousands of dollars. You do not have to do this. Second, medical appointments make me extremely anxious, especially something as significant and unfamiliar as IVF. My blood pressure was high at every visit. Dr. Libby had her coordinator Adrienne, who was very kind and supportive, tell me I needed to see a PCP recommended by Dr. Libby or I could not proceed. Already worried, I made an appointment with my own PCP. My physician reviewed my home readings and did not want to prescribe medication because taking it when blood pressure is not high can be dangerous. She documented everything, and I sent the notes to Dr. Libby as requested, showing that I had been evaluated and that anxiety was the cause. This still was not enough. Dr. Libby demanded a second opinion and referred me to her physician. I wondered whether she knew he would disagree and prescribe medication. I do not know. Because of my husband’s condition, he needed surgery at Emory. Since we were there, we sought a second opinion about IVF. It was the best decision we ever made, and I believe God led us there. Without his procedure, we might still have been lost. Because of our ages, our new doctor did not recommend genetic testing. I was 29 and he was 36; sometimes testing can do more harm than good to embryos. We agreed. At follow-up, Dr. Libby had given us percentages for our first attempt: a 50% chance. I was frightened because a saline ultrasound one month showed only 8 eggs. No one told me the number could change each month; when I officially began, I had 14. I had been terrified that I had only 8. Our new doctor also did not reject me because of my blood-pressure readings, which were normal when I saw her. I cannot imagine my husband undergoing surgery, returning to Shady Grove for my IVF cycle, and then being sent home if my blood pressure exceeded 140/90. I understand the importance of safe blood pressure, but an evaluation by my own PCP should have been sufficient. Do you know what happened in our first cycle? We became pregnant. I share all of this to say: if you disagree with your physician, do not be afraid to seek a second opinion.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Libby. Highly recommended for anyone seeking fertility treatment.

My OB-GYN referred me to Dr. Libby. She carefully reviewed my case and began helping me on this journey a year ago. I completed all blood tests, took medication to meet the criteria, repeated testing, and underwent several mock cycles to ensure everything was done correctly. Nearly 10 months later, Dr. Libby transferred the embryo and I became pregnant. I am now almost 3 months along. Dr. Libby is extremely thorough and always delivers more than she promises. She made me feel not only that she was my doctor, but also a friend with whom I could openly share my concerns. She also does not hesitate to learn from her patients. She is down-to-earth and a pleasure to work with. I am very grateful that she made our journey joyful :) God bless Dr. Libby with a long life so many others can receive the same help I did.

My OB-GYN of ten years recommended this practice, and I was excited to begin embryo freezing with someone she recommended. I started the process a year ago but postponed hormone treatment until this year. During my welcome-back telehealth appointment, Dr. Libby surprised me with a new and unsettling question: ‘Do you have a good reason for wanting a surrogate?’ I was caught off guard because this decision is private and the reasoning seemed irrelevant. I discussed my demanding job and a severe depressive episode that forced me to leave emergency-room work. She then said there were ‘new rules’ for gestational carriers and that my mental health history did not qualify as a ‘good reason.’ I was told I could proceed only if I was listed as the carrier, though they could perform any additional testing if I had a hysterectomy in the next few years. I found a new fertility center and am very happy with its nonjudgmental environment. Unfortunately, I still receive daily emails from Shady Grove, ranging from ‘complete the following module’ to ‘complete the following form through Docusign.’ A pharmacy even called to say my medications were ready to ship. I called Shady Grove repeatedly to ask that they remove me from their patient list and stop emailing me, because fertility treatment is already confusing and overwhelming without dealing with two organizations. The front desk told me to call each entity, such as the pharmacy and finance office, and ask them to stop. I did. Yet I still receive emails every day, even as I continue treatment elsewhere next week. I would not have left a review solely because I felt judged about my reasons for using a surrogate. I would not have left one if the emails had stopped after my first, second, or third call. I am exhausted and trying to continue egg freezing without having to determine who is sending daily consent forms. The answer: it is not my current provider.
