I received excellent care and had a successful surgery. I was very pleased with Dr. Garland, who is knowledgeable and professional and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Although I was already 30 and women are not usually denied permanent contraception at that age, I was still glad he respected my decision and did not try to talk me out of it. He had to discuss other options, of course, but he treated me like an adult who knew what she wanted rather than a young woman making a hasty decision. It seems unfair that many doctors deny this procedure to women under 30, because women should have full control over their reproductive choices and needs. Discouraging surgery because we may change our minds is biased and undermines our ability to make other choices for ourselves, such as giving birth or having an abortion. I firmly believe all women should have the right to decide for themselves. I knew from a young age that I never wanted children, and women who feel this way are sometimes mistreated or judged by society. I strongly recommend Prima Medical Group to anyone considering sterilization (bilateral salpingectomy) or seeking other women's reproductive healthcare.

Dr. Giovanni Elia is an exceptional doctor. My mother died from stage III multiple myeloma and was in considerable pain. Dr. Elia visited her every week and helped keep her as comfortable as possible. He was very kind to both of us. She was hospitalized on Thanksgiving Day in 2014, when I was told she had only weeks to live. Dr. Elia came to see her at the hospital on Thanksgiving, mainly to tell me how sorry he was. I will always be grateful. He had no other patients to see there, and my mother did not understand what was happening, but he made a special trip to visit us. Only a truly caring doctor would do that.

This is the best place! All the doctors are amazing! If you want the best care, this is the place for you. I was with Kaiser for 25 years and was always sick. After switching here, they sent me to doctors for a complete evaluation, treated me with care, and I stayed. MarinHealth in Larkspur is the best!

As a new patient, I waited 5 months for an appointment with Dr. Bandy. On the appointment day, I expected a complete annual physical, which was why I scheduled it. The medical assistant recorded my health information and explained that Dr. Bandy does not perform any physical examination at the first visit. The first appointment is a "meet and greet"—their words—as if it were a social occasion rather than a medical visit. The physical is scheduled at the next appointment, and the first available one was three months later. That means waiting 8 months for a complete physical at this practice. I have never received this kind of medical service at any facility. If this is their practice, they should disclose it when scheduling. If you want a medical issue addressed within 8 months, choose another clinic. I will.

I was admitted with a sudden, severe illness unlike anything I had experienced before. The care team provided excellent, highly efficient, and very friendly service. I underwent several tests, including a chest X-ray, troponin testing to rule out a heart attack, neck and head scans, and a brain scan to rule out a stroke. All results were negative. The team explained the findings in plain language and ultimately concluded that I had vertigo. An experienced doctor then explained all treatment options in detail, and I was discharged. The entire process took about four hours, whereas most emergency departments might take 12 to 15 hours. My compliments to the entire care team.

The staff is very unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment as a new patient several weeks ago and called the day before to confirm, only to be told that no appointment existed. The scheduler was rude and indifferent and did not take me seriously at all.

Very punctual! They took me directly to see Loretta Alimam, a family nurse practitioner (FNP-C). She was professional, compassionate, and an excellent listener, and she took a holistic approach.
I had a few other matters to arrange before leaving. Debbie at the front desk patiently and carefully helped me take care of everything. I am glad to receive such attentive care at MarinHealth in Novato.

They lost my colposcopy sample and joked about it with the nurse. She had to collect another sample while I was in severe pain, yet she never apologized.
