We are so grateful to Kofinas Fertility Group and Dr. Narine. After two years of infertility, we first met Dr. Narine for diagnostic testing in June 2024. I am delighted to share that I am now 16 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy. She helped us understand all our results and options. Dr. Narine went above and beyond to provide the best care and treatment to maximize our chance of success. My husband and I decided to proceed with IVF in August. With personalized treatment and protocols, I had a very successful egg retrieval and became pregnant after my first transfer in early November. Kofinas is a wonderful clinic. They make sure you feel supported and receive the attention you need during a very vulnerable time. Words cannot describe how wonderful the clinic and Dr. Narine are. Dr. Narine was outstanding throughout my egg-freezing/IVF journey! With her help and that of the excellent nurses, we became pregnant during our first IVF cycle! I am very grateful that this practice made everything proceed so smoothly. The staff and doctors truly care about you. I never felt like just another patient. They felt like family and were genuinely happy for me when I became pregnant! Graduating from Kofinas was bittersweet, but I will return for my second child!

My experience at Kofinas Fertility Group was quite disappointing, and I have to write this to help others navigate this place. Before my appointment, I specifically asked to confirm the cost and insurance coverage. I was assured that if no one contacted me, everything was "fine" and covered. When I arrived and was asked to sign documents about financial responsibility, I sought clarification again. The front-desk staff assured me that because no one had contacted me, my insurance covered fertility testing. A little later I was reassured again that my insurance did cover the tests. Based on these repeated assurances, I proceeded with the consultation, ultrasound, and bloodwork. The doctor was kind and mentioned testing my husband genetically during the examination. She said a financial coordinator could quickly review his insurance afterward. I completed a blood draw of 10–14 vials. As I prepared to return to work, the financial coordinator stopped by. Based on the earlier responses, I expected only a brief discussion about my husband. Instead, she mentioned that I might owe up to $3,000 because I would later receive a deductible bill. This was alarming, and I questioned why I was only now being told this after the assurances I had just received. The financial coordinator deflected by explaining how deductibles work, entirely missing the point. My concern was the blatant miscommunication, not a misunderstanding of deductibles. She then admitted the front-desk staff were "uninformed" about insurance matters, should not have provided any financial information, and that she would speak with them. That admission was both shocking and infuriating. If the front desk cannot provide accurate financial information, why are they permitted to discuss it? The financial coordinator's admission of this internal failure highlighted a systemic problem: patients are misled by unqualified staff. During such an important medical journey, financial counseling should be the first step for every new patient upon arrival to ensure accurate information. Worse, the results from my 10–14 vials of blood were withheld until I spoke with the financial manager, who had no time at 3:30 p.m. on a Monday. Despite three calls to resolve the problem, I was placed on hold, disconnected, and treated dismissively. Because hormone testing is time-sensitive, this delay made the bloodwork useless. This lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability is appalling. Patients deserve accurate, upfront information about costs, especially at a fertility clinic where the financial and emotional stakes are high. Misleading assurances about coverage, mishandling time-sensitive medical tests, and admitting internal staff incompetence without resolving the problem are unacceptable. It mistreats families who are already emotionally vulnerable while seeking fertility care. I will not return to Kofinas. I hope my experience warns other potential patients to seek treatment elsewhere. We will also report this to the BBB, as other reviewers apparently have. January 16, 2025—Update: It was courteous of one of Kofinas's owners to respond, but my review and recommendation to train your front desk better still stand. I asked three times to speak with the business manager, but no one called me back until I made time to post a review. The front-desk and telephone staff were extremely rude. January 28, 2025—Update: The owner had the practice manager contact us, and we reviewed the entire experience. She was courteous and understanding and hopes to correct this experience in the future. As noted, Dr. Levica, whom I met, was kind. If you decide to go here, discuss finances in advance, and good luck on your fertility journey.

I have nothing but praise for Kofinas Fertility Group, especially Dr. Narine. I am currently pregnant with my third child and have a 7-year-old and a 5-year-old, all thanks to Dr. Narine. Fertility is never an easy journey, but Dr. Narine made the process as painless as possible. She is calm, attentive, and patient and does not overwhelm you with too many details at once. There are no words to describe the care I felt from the team at Kofinas Fertility from the moment I stepped into their office. After countless doctors dismissing me, Dr. Jason was there with a listening ear. He always made me feel heard and never gave up on me. He monitored my very difficult case weekly. I was deeply disappointed by my experience with Kofinas Fertility Group because of its unethical billing practices and lack of transparency. Patients are often misled about insurance coverage and told the clinic is in-network when it is actually billed as out-of-network. Instead of verifying coverage correctly, they tell patients what they want to hear and then proceed according to their own agenda. One of the most concerning issues is how they bill—charging patients the full deductible upfront before submitting a claim to insurance. Even when insurance covers a procedure, patients are still charged separate procedure and facility fees. Incorrect billing codes were also submitted, and doctors who never saw the patient were listed on claims to use out-of-network benefits. Medical records from doctors who never provided care were even used to justify false claims. Beyond the billing issues, the workplace is highly unprofessional, and staff lack proper training and accountability. Instead of resolving problems, employees shift responsibility to others, creating confusion and frustration for patients seeking care. Patients deserve honesty, accurate billing, and ethical medical practices. Unfortunately, this is not the standard at Kofinas Fertility Group. I strongly advise others to proceed cautiously and thoroughly verify all billing and insurance details before seeking treatment here.

I am so glad we chose Kofinas Fertility Group. From the first consultation, the staff made us feel heard, informed, and genuinely cared for. Dr. George patiently and carefully guided us through every step, while Nicole, the personal assistant, answered my countless questions with compassion and patience. The clinic is modern, clean, and well organized. Appointments are easy to schedule, and the clinical staff are very helpful and responsive. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and underwent surgery, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, and I am now receiving intrauterine insemination (IUI). This has been a long journey for us, but Kofinas Fertility Group has made a real difference. This is a scam!! I never write reviews, much less reviews about a terrible, irresponsible, dishonest clinic like this one. I scheduled a consultation and called to ask whether I would have any out-of-pocket costs. They said no. On the appointment day, I paid my copay, and they performed laboratory tests that I had not expected. Before the results came back, I asked several nurses whether everything would be fully covered. They said yes and that I would have no out-of-pocket costs. I assumed they had contacted my insurance company. A few weeks later, I received two more calls to discuss my test results and financial options. They were supposed to send me the financial information but never did. I spoke with Dr. Kofinas again, and he pretended to email me the financial documents, but they never arrived. He repeatedly asked whether I had any other questions and said treatment could begin the following month. I was clearly being rushed into an expensive treatment with side effects. Two weeks later, I received a Labcorp bill for more than $200 in laboratory fees. I called Kofinas twice and explained why making the patient pay this bill was irresponsible and completely unacceptable. They said everything had been handled, and several nurses had assured me there would be no out-of-pocket costs. They hung up on me twice and never called back! Beware of this clinic's scam, poor communication, and lies!

My insurance at another facility fell through at the last minute, and I was very grateful that Kofinas Group could schedule me quickly. I am sharing my personal experience so other patients—especially those who are pregnant or undergoing fertility treatment—can make an informed decision. This surgery center is directly affiliated with Kofinas and serves as their private clinic for surgical procedures. During my care, I found the billing practices at this center to be aggressive and extremely distressing. I was a fertility patient at Kofinas and, although I had been preparing for IVF, I became pregnant naturally. While pregnant, I was repeatedly contacted regarding payment timelines in a way that felt pressuring and intimidating rather than compassionate or patient-centered. The situation escalated to legal correspondence over payment timing, which caused me significant emotional distress during an already vulnerable period of my life. Being contacted by an attorney while pregnant, instead of having a humane and respectful conversation, was deeply upsetting. The communication felt focused solely on money, with threats of legal action rather than any effort to resolve the matter with understanding or flexibility. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of empathy. At no point did I feel treated as a patient whose health and emotional wellbeing mattered. Instead, I felt reduced to a financial obligation rather than a person receiving medical care. REGARDING the actual care & treatment received, Kofinas Fertility operates very much like an IVF-driven clinic. After three IUI attempts, the conversation immediately shifted toward IVF, with little discussion of deeper root-cause investigation or alternative paths. I often felt that IVF was the default recommendation rather than one option among many. One of my biggest concerns was that I had to advocate strongly for myself to get specific diagnostic testing done. After pushing for additional labs, I learned that I had borderline hypothyroidism—something that should be carefully evaluated early on in fertility care. This was not proactively identified, and I only became aware of it after insisting on further testing. Additionally, after doing the lap procedure, it took me over a year to get pregnant. While the doctors are knowledgeable, the overall experience left me feeling like I had to constantly push, question, and protect myself as a patient—medically and financially. Fertility patients deserve transparency, individualized care, and respect, not pressure or confusion. I strongly encourage prospective patients to: Ask very specific questions about testing before treatment begins Get everything in writing regarding billing Consider seeking a second opinion to ensure all underlying issues are addressed. Bottom line, I was able to get pregnant naturally which I believe my own self help remedies with lifestyle and holistic resources helped me alot. I needed surgery for endometriosis which I did have, but if you have no physical setbacks, I highly recommend seeing a naturopathic doctor first. Don’t allow them to play on your emotions!

No fertility clinic is perfect. This clinic's financial and billing departments could certainly improve. That said, the care here is truly personalized and attentive, completely unlike the three clinics I had previously visited. After several miscarriages of chromosomally normal pregnancies, the other clinics refused to investigate the underlying cause. Dr. Jason Kofinas, however, went above and beyond to develop a protocol that made my beta-hCG levels soar and resulted in a healthy baby on the first attempt. I also want to recognize their coordinator, Tierney. The previous three clinics were disorganized and communicated poorly, and Tierney put them all to shame. She is the key person holding the clinic together, and her kindness is an added gift. I recommend Kofinas to anyone struggling with assembly-line care at other clinics. Thank you for helping me overcome the trauma caused by previous clinics and become a mother.

Dr. Nalin and Dr. Kofinas completely mishandled my frozen embryo transfer cycle. From the start, the clinic had difficulty accessing my cervix. I repeatedly asked Dr. Nalin to dilate it before the transfer, but she dismissed my request. Instead of addressing the obvious issue, she had me pay for four completely unnecessary PRP treatments at $450 each, which, incidentally, also lack scientific support. After the transfer attempt, I woke up to learn that Dr. Kofinas had canceled my cycle because he could not access my cervix, exactly as I had predicted. I was heartbroken after spending thousands of dollars and losing my time, money, insurance benefits, and an entire year. The failed transfer was entirely their fault because they did not listen to the patient. When I told Dr. Nalin that she had known about the issue and could have resolved it beforehand, her only response was, ‘Understood.’ Their negligence forced me to move my last embryo to another facility. After the canceled cycle, Dr. Nalin called and proposed, ‘I will demonstrate to Dr. Kofinas how to perform the transfer during another mock transfer.’ It is shocking and unacceptable that a younger doctor would need to teach a more experienced doctor how to do his job. There were many other issues, including inadequate stimulation that left me with only two embryos, while other clinics use much higher doses. The clinic also lost my husband's blood sample and made him return for genetic testing without even apologizing. They put everyone through an unnecessary mock cycle, wasting time and money and delaying frozen embryo transfer. When I reviewed my records, I found that Dr. Nalin documented counseling me about several matters, including metformin and IVF risks, when she had not done so. One nurse whose name I cannot remember was also very rude when I simply asked another nurse what else I could do to support my treatment plan. Instead of being kind and considerate, she gaslighted me and angrily said anything I did would only increase my stress, while her behavior itself made me feel stressed. The front desk staff were extremely rude as well. I do not understand how the clinic continues to operate while employing front desk staff who roll their eyes at patients. I also learned that Dr. Kofinas performs all embryo transfers, rather than the doctor managing your cycle. That is why he did not know my history or address my cervical issue, which another clinic was able to resolve. Finally, this clinic charges excessive fees, puts patients through unnecessary testing, and still mishandles the process. They treated me like an ATM rather than a patient. Patients like me are extremely vulnerable, and fertility care is sensitive, private, and critically important. Instead of understanding that, they treated me like a talking wallet and cared about nothing else. I should not be writing this review. I should be holding my first child, but they took advantage of me as a patient and took that hope away.

I strongly urge anyone considering Dr. George Kofinas to proceed cautiously. In January 2025, before my laparoscopic surgery, his office scheduled tests that I had explicitly declined because I had completed the same tests at his brother's clinic only days earlier. My concerns were ignored, and now—more than a year later—they are demanding approximately $1,500 for tests I clearly believed were never performed. This is unacceptable and feels highly deceptive. Worse, I arrived for surgery expecting Dr. Kofinas to perform it, as he had explicitly said he would. Instead, someone else performed the surgery without informing me or obtaining my consent beforehand. This was a serious breach of trust. Obtaining my medical records was another nightmare. I requested them in summer 2025, but the clinic delayed for months and provided them only after I threatened to report a HIPAA violation. Patients should not have to pursue their own records or resort to threats to receive them. The entire process reflected poor communication, lack of transparency, and disregard for informed consent. I regret not posting sooner, but with the billing issue still unresolved, I feel obligated to warn others. Proceed with extreme caution.

Working with Kofinas Fertility Group was a dream come true! Dr. Noyes is an exceptional doctor. She always made time to speak with my wife and me and answer our questions. I consistently felt at ease with her. I was her patient intermittently from 2019 until recently. With her expertise, I delivered my wonderful son and am now expecting my second child. She also helped manage my endometriosis. Unfortunately, I experienced an ectopic pregnancy, but I was closely monitored and well cared for throughout. From friends' experiences, I know this is not always true at other fertility clinics. During treatment with Dr. Noyes, the other doctors and the excellent clinic and operating room nurses always made me feel cared for. The nurses took time to know me and my family, especially Sara Mousalam, head nurse at Manhattan Reproductive Surgery Center. I visited all three locations, and every one had welcoming staff who were experts in their fields. Each clinic was also beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Everyone I know who has visited Kofinas Fertility Group speaks highly of the experience. I strongly recommend them!

I have been a patient at Kofinas for more than four years. I have a three-and-a-half-year-old child and am now 19 weeks pregnant with my second. I want to shout from the rooftops and recommend this fertility clinic to the world because they have changed my life in so many ways. Before finding Kofinas, I had terrible experiences at two other clinics. My case was difficult, and I encountered nearly every possible problem, but Dr. Jason and his team never gave up. Over the past two years, while trying for our second child, they handled every new issue with such precision and expert care that I never worried I would be unable to become pregnant again. When you call the clinic, you speak directly with a real person—a lovely person—who remembers who you are. You can email Dr. Jason at any time, but honestly, his nurses are so wonderful that I have rarely needed to. I know every question I ask a nurse will be relayed directly to Dr. Jason before the end of the day, and I will receive a response. In my experience, this level of communication is almost unheard of in healthcare. Last year, I was diagnosed with endometriosis, which I had never suspected. I was very grateful that the surgery could be performed in-house and that Dr. Jason and his team personally cared for me. This differs greatly from the experience of many women diagnosed with endometriosis during IVF, who are referred to a gynecologist for surgery and must leave their fertility team during recovery while managing any other surgical issues. One week after a successful laparoscopy, I practically felt able to skip down the street. Kofinas has a unique preoperative preparation protocol, which I believe explains my rapid recovery. Another of Kofinas’s greatest strengths is that they carefully investigate every detail before transfer to give you the best chance of success on the first attempt. They offer many highly specific tests that other U.S. clinics do not, and you genuinely feel that the entire team is doing everything possible to help you succeed. This clinic and team truly care about me. IVF is physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding, and the reassurance and comfort I felt throughout were central to my success. I stayed relaxed, knew my views were valued, and knew they were all on my side.

Years of infertility made me especially cautious about pregnancy. From my first consultation with Dr. Revika Narin, she listened carefully to my concerns, explained everything in detail, and created a treatment plan truly suited to my situation rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. We started with Dr. Kofinas when he had just opened his Brooklyn location 17 years ago. We were delighted because it worked for us! Our son was born in 2008, when I had diabetes, no spleen, and only 15% of my pancreas, as well as closed fallopian tubes and endometriosis. He is now 16 and a high school sophomore. The office was compassionate, professional, and caring at every visit. I am glad to see the practice continuing to grow, and I believe the doctors and staff have helped many people achieve their goal of having children. My husband and I are deeply grateful for their care, persistence, and patience, and we know they will continue helping others. Two other important facts are that I was already 49 when our son was born, and we paid it forward by donating two embryos in hopes that someone else could become pregnant. It truly was a miracle. An MRI at a small clinic led to a diagnosis of adenomyosis and a paratubal cyst. I knew the cyst needed surgical removal because it had been present for about 4 years. I was already 31, so I was concerned about possible endometriosis and infertility. My neighbor had a similar experience and recommended Kofinas, where she had excision surgery and became pregnant 6 months later. We completed fertility testing with Kofinas, which reassured me that I had a healthy and adequate egg supply. I also had surgery there, during which I was formally diagnosed with endometriosis and had it excised. They also removed the cyst and several polyps. Although recovery was difficult, the surgery ended my persistent infections and bleeding. I was very satisfied with their availability because they operate 2 days each week, so I did not have to wait long for surgery. The surgeon also had more than 20 years of experience. I do not know whether they are considered leading excision specialists, but they did resolve the problems that were interfering with my daily life. Now, 7 months later, I am 7 weeks pregnant! I believe this was due not only to the surgery but also to the many fertility supplements they recommended for my husband and me. My only real complaint is that the surgeon was in network, but the anesthesiologist was not, which I had not noticed. The cost of care was therefore higher than expected. On the other hand, I conceived naturally, which clearly saved a great deal of money. If my situation had not been urgent, I might have sought another provider that was more thorough about explanations, evaluation, and cost planning. After surgery at Kofinas, I planned to have an egg retrieval at Spring Fertility because they provide extensive online cost information and introduced a financial coordinator during the first in-person consultation, which I appreciated. It felt more attentive and financially transparent. I believe Kofinas itself would perform an egg retrieval well, but after my financial experience with surgery there, I did not want to repeat it with a major investment such as egg retrieval and embryo creation.

Every other doctor encouraged us to try again without additional testing. My journey with Dr. Harry began in 2022. During a simple consultation, he explained the IVF path my husband and I had chosen. Although I had prior IVF experience during the testing stage at another facility, I was nervous. Dr. Harry is the most compassionate and caring doctor I have ever met. I encountered other doctors at Kofinas and Manhattan Reproductive Surgery Center, but none made me feel as relaxed, comfortable, or able to be myself. After testing, surgery, and medication, I became pregnant and delivered a baby boy on April 21, 2023. He is the greatest gift of my life. Dr. Nalin and Dr. Kofinas completely mishandled my frozen embryo transfer cycle. From the beginning, the clinic had difficulty locating my cervix. I repeatedly asked Dr. Nalin to dilate it before the transfer to prevent this problem, but she dismissed my request. After the transfer procedure, I woke to learn that Dr. Kofinas had canceled my cycle because he could not locate my cervix, exactly as I had anticipated. I was devastated. I had spent thousands of dollars, and they wasted my time, money, insurance benefits, and an entire year. The failed transfer was entirely their fault because they do not listen to patients. When I told Dr. Nalin she had known about the issue and could have addressed it before transfer, her only response was, 'Understood.' Their negligence forced me to move my final embryo to another facility. After my cycle was canceled, Dr. Nalin called with this solution: 'I will demonstrate to Dr. Kofinas how to perform the transfer during another mock transfer.' It is shocking and unacceptable that a younger doctor would need to show a more experienced physician how to do the procedure. There were many other issues, including inadequate stimulation that left me with only two embryos to try, while other clinics use much higher stimulation doses. The clinic also lost my husband's blood sample and made him return for repeat genetic testing without even apologizing. They put everyone through a completely unnecessary mock cycle, wasting time and money and delaying frozen embryo transfer. I requested my records and discovered that Dr. Nalin had documented counseling me about several matters, including metformin and IVF risks, when those discussions had never occurred. One nurse, whose name I do not remember, was also very rude when I merely asked another nurse whether I could do anything else to support my protocol. Instead of responding compassionately, she tried to manipulate me and angrily said that anything I did would only increase my stress, while her own behavior was what caused stress. The front desk staff were also extremely rude. I do not understand how the clinic continues to operate while employing receptionists who roll their eyes at patients. I also learned that Dr. Kofinas performs every embryo transfer, rather than the doctor who manages your cycle. That is why he did not know my history and did not address my cervical issue, while a doctor at another clinic was able to resolve it. Finally, this clinic overcharges, puts patients through numerous unnecessary tests, and still mishandles the process. They treated me like an ATM rather than a patient. Fertility patients are extremely vulnerable, and the process is sensitive, private, and deeply important. Instead of understanding that, they treated me as a wallet that could speak and cared about nothing else. I should not be writing this review. I should be holding my first child, but they exploited my vulnerability as a patient and took that hope away from me.

I will always be grateful to have met Dr. Jason Kofinas and his staff. After 2 years of infertility treatment due to stage IV endometriosis, including IUI and IVF treatment and surgery for my endometriosis, I finally conceived naturally during IVF treatment. I had some embryos frozen but could not complete IVF because I conceived naturally a few days before the embryo transfer! I know this happened because of the care I received over the years from Dr. Jason Kofinas, Dr. Courtney, NP Juanita, and all the staff at the Central Park office. I truly appreciate all their efforts and the kindness of every doctor and staff member during my time with them. I went to Kofinas for fertility care a long time ago. At first, they seemed knowledgeable and educated about fertility treatment. After going through various stages of treatment, I realized the doctors did not care about patients. I was waiting in a room for an injection when another patient walked in and sat in the room. Where was the privacy? This was already a HIPAA violation. I had a terrible experience there. My A1C was very high, yet they still transferred not one but 3 eggs, and I lost them all. I would not recommend them. I was later told that if your A1C is high, you absolutely should not undergo IVF because both you and the baby may be at risk. Research and read reviews before choosing any fertility clinic.

Dr. Jason Kofinas is one of the few physicians who combines excellent medical care with an outstanding bedside manner. As a second-generation fertility doctor, he seems born for the role. He skillfully combines expertise in reproductive medicine, excellent surgical technique, and evidence-based practice, often citing research when answering my questions and planning treatment. I came to Kofinas feeling discouraged. Two gynecologists and a female primary-care physician told me that after a miscarriage I simply needed to wait patiently and stay positive to become pregnant again. Fortunately, Dr. Kofinas explained the actual situation in detail and designed a treatment plan that worked exactly as described. More reasons to choose Kofinas Fertility include: 1) They have their own reproductive surgery center, helping ensure continuity because the same doctor manages both medical and surgical care. 2) The clinic is spotless—possibly the cleanest I have visited. 3) The nursing and administrative staff are friendly and helpful. Throughout my year of treatment at Kofinas, they consistently welcomed me and answered my questions. Scam update: This fertility clinic is notorious for failing to call insurance before visits. They will confirm that you are fully covered and then bill the full amount. Be aware that consultations include an ultrasound billed separately from bloodwork, and insurance may not cover every separate service. Their claim that they called my insurer was a lie; they only wanted to bill me. The nurses cannot be trusted and know about the clinic's practices, as other reviews below show. My best advice is to consider one of the many other New York clinics and not refer anyone here. Review: An absolute scam!! I never write reviews, but I had to review this terrible, irresponsible, dishonest clinic. I scheduled a consultation and asked by phone whether I would owe anything. They said no. On the appointment day I paid my copay, and they performed unexpected lab tests. Before testing began, I asked several nurses whether everything was fully covered. They said yes and that I would owe nothing, so I assumed they had contacted my insurer. Weeks later, I received two more calls about my results and financial options. They were supposed to send financial information but never did. I spoke again with Dr. Kofinas, who pretended he would email the documents but never did. He kept asking whether I had other questions and said treatment could begin the next month. I was clearly being rushed into an expensive treatment with side effects. Two weeks later, Labcorp billed me more than $200 for the tests. I called Kofinas twice and explained that it was irresponsible and unacceptable to make patients pay after telling them everything was arranged and repeatedly assuring them there would be no out-of-pocket cost. They hung up on me twice and never called back!! Beware of this clinic's scams, poor communication, and lies!

Choosing Dr. Kofinas was the best decision I made during my long IVF journey. I initially received treatment at NYU, where I could not communicate with a doctor and felt I repeatedly received the same standard protocol without good results. I saw eight gynecologists and was told, ‘Nothing is wrong with you’ and ‘It is all in your head.’ After years of losing hope, I went to Kofinas Fertility Group simply to assess my ovarian reserve. In a ten-minute conversation, Dr. Jason Kofinas asked what no one else had: ‘Has anyone checked you for endometriosis?’ That moment changed everything. He truly listened, ordered a biopsy, and I was diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis. Thanks to his expertise and care, he performed surgery that ended years of pain and recurrent infections. For the first time in ten years, I felt healthy and whole again. It did not end there. Five months later, Dr. Kofinas helped me conceive my son through insemination, something I had thought impossible. Now, two years later, he has helped me again, and I am expecting a daughter! Thanks to Dr. Jason Kofinas and his team I have a beautiful son and a daughter imminently on the way. Dr. Kofinas and his clinic gave me the best results in terms of number of embryos produced and success rate. Before my pregnancies, I had been to five other clinics with no results. One of those clinics, a big name clinic with multiple locations, diagnosed me with "unexplained infertility," leading me to believe I would never have children of my own. Other clinics also suggested I use donor eggs or just continue to do more IVF cycles. Dr. Kofinas was the first and only doctor who truly wanted to understand the underlining issues of my infertility. He suspected silent endometriosis and suggested I also remove a large fibroid that had grown due to the multiple IVF cycles I underwent. During a laparoscopy, performed by Dr. Kofinas himself, he confirmed the endometriosis. Afterwards, I became pregnant right away on the first cycle, and again with my second. Dr. Kofinas and his team were the first place who treated me like a person, not just as a patient or number. Both he and his staff were extremely personable with wonderful bedside manners and I genuinely felt like they wanted to help me. Dr. Kofinas was constantly at the monitorings, making sure he addressed any of my questions and concerns, and follow up questions were addressed either at the clinic visit or within the same day in an email from Dr. Kofinas himself or the staff. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Kofinas Fertility and Dr. Jason Kofinas. He is extremely intelligent and evidence-based, yet approachable and easy to talk to. Throughout treatment, he made me feel comfortable asking questions at any time. I came on a friend's recommendation. She had struggled with infertility for eight years because of a rare genetic disorder. The Kofinas team was the first to identify it, and with their help she conceived twins. Her success gave me the confidence to begin my own fertility journey, and I am so glad I did. The embryology lab at their 65 Broadway headquarters is outstanding and uses only the most advanced equipment, which gave me complete peace of mind. The Central Park West team are the stars: Lydia is lively and welcoming, making every visit pleasant, while Luz is the best phlebotomist I have ever met. Every staff member was consistently kind, attentive, and helpful. After a year of treatment, graduating to my OB-GYN felt like leaving family, which was bittersweet. Dr. Narin and Dr. Kofinas completely mishandled my frozen embryo transfer cycle. The clinic had difficulty accessing my cervix from the beginning. I repeatedly asked Dr. Narin to dilate it before transfer, but she ignored and dismissed my requests. Instead, she charged me for 4 unnecessary PRP treatments at $450 each, which also lack scientific support, rather than addressing the obvious issue. After the transfer procedure, I woke to learn that Dr. Kofinas had canceled the cycle because he could not access my cervix, exactly as I had predicted. I was devastated. I spent thousands of dollars, and they wasted my time, money, insurance, and an entire year. The failed transfer was their error because they did not listen. When I told Dr. Narin she had known about the problem and could have addressed it earlier, she only replied, ‘Understood.’ Their negligence forced me to move my final embryo elsewhere. After the canceled cycle, Dr. Narin proposed demonstrating to Dr. Kofinas how to perform the transfer during another mock transfer. A younger doctor having to teach a more experienced one was shocking and unacceptable. There were many other problems. Stimulation was inadequate, leaving me only two embryos, while other clinics use much higher doses. The clinic lost my husband's blood sample and made him return for genetic testing without apologizing. They put everyone through an unnecessary mock cycle, wasting time and money and delaying frozen embryo transfer. When I reviewed my records, Dr. Narin had documented counseling me about matters such as metformin and IVF risks that she never discussed. One nurse was also hostile when I merely asked another nurse what else I could do to support the protocol. Instead of showing compassion, she angrily told me anything I did would increase my stress, while her behavior itself caused stress. Reception staff were extremely rude and even rolled their eyes at patients. I also learned that Dr. Kofinas performs every embryo transfer, rather than the doctor managing the patient's cycle. He did not know my history and did not address my cervical problem, which another clinic's doctor later resolved. Finally, the clinic charges excessively and orders many unnecessary tests, only to mishandle the process. They treated me like an ATM, not a patient. Fertility patients are extremely vulnerable, and care is sensitive, private, and critically important. The clinic did not understand that and treated me as nothing more than a talking wallet. I should not be writing this review; I should be holding my first child. They exploited my vulnerability as a patient and took that hope from me.

I had such a wonderful experience with Kofinas Fertility. After years of infertility and miscarriages, Dr. B was exactly the doctor I needed. He is patient, spends time with you, and answers all your questions. I truly trust him and his recommendations. The nurses are very warm and friendly. I had a very poor experience with Kofinas Fertility Group and want to share it to help others make an informed decision. At the beginning, they told me they were in network with my UHC Empire Plan. Based on that information, I proceeded with testing. After the claims were processed, I learned that although part of the office visit was covered, imaging performed by the doctor in the same clinic was classified as out of network and denied. This was never explained in advance. For comparison, while living in Florida, I visited two IVF clinics using the same New York City insurance plan. Both provided a detailed cost breakdown before I met the doctor, including what was covered, what was not, and a reasonable estimate of out-of-pocket costs. That transparency was essential, and this clinic did not provide it. Communication was a serious problem. For example, they never proactively mentioned the cost of my husband’s semen analysis. I learned about it only because I specifically asked during the scheduling call. Otherwise, it would have been an unpleasant surprise at the appointment. I also know that this service would have been covered if the clinic were truly in network. This is only one example of how they handled matters. When I began asking questions, the answers were vague. They said they would “cover” the denied charges but provided nothing in writing. At the same time, they said I would still be responsible for some major procedures and tests. When I requested clear pricing, they said the costs depended on the insurer’s reimbursement rate, making it difficult to understand what I would actually owe. The financial responsibility meeting was also uncomfortable. I asked basic questions, and the representative seemed impatient. When I spoke with a supervisor, the tone was dismissive, with no acknowledgment that I had previously been told the clinic was in network. None of the calls were recorded, so there was no way to verify the conversations. I must say that the clinical staff at the Staten Island location were truly wonderful. In every interaction, they were kind, patient, and supportive. They were the best part of my experience. Dr. Peter had a calm manner, but I personally found it difficult to fully trust his guidance when the points he emphasized did not align with the overall treatment plan. Consistency is essential to me when making major medical and financial decisions. Fertility treatment is already extremely stressful, and patients should not have to deal with insurance and billing confusion. Clear information before any testing should be standard. If you are considering this clinic, I strongly recommend that you: Confirm all costs in writing, including which services are in network Request a detailed cost breakdown in advance Confirm how imaging, laboratory tests, and procedures will be billed I wish I had done this before coming here.

My fiancé and I had struggled with infertility for nearly nine years, and I had almost lost hope. Thank you to Kofinas and the team for giving me my little miracle! It was a journey, but completely worth it. After more than a year of TTC without progress, my husband and I decided to schedule a consultation with Dr. George Kofinas in April 2024. After our first appointment, we knew we had found the right person. After multiple tests and procedures, we were ultimately able to narrow the potential cause of my infertility to fibroids/polyps. I was advised to have laparoscopic surgery to remove them. Although I was initially hesitant because I had never had surgery, we proceeded, and I underwent surgery in July 2024. The procedure went well, and a total of 8 fibroids were removed. Two months later, after I had fully recovered, we started trying again and became pregnant on our first attempt! I cannot say enough good things about Kofinas Fertility Group. I am so glad I came here. The staff are angels who also serve as therapists during this stressful process. Multiple appointments each week were demanding, but Dr. George and his staff made them manageable. They patiently answered every question, guided me through difficult decisions, and were consistently kind and compassionate. Dr. George Kofinas is very humble and kind and put me at ease every time I saw him. After several failed attempts, he went above and beyond to guide me toward a successful pregnancy. His bedside manner is excellent, and I truly wish he could deliver my baby. Bridget and Jennifer at the front desk were very helpful about updating me on wait times whenever I was late. Michelle, Diana, and Elvy made blood draws and sonograms easy. All the women were extremely knowledgeable and informed, and they responded quickly whenever I called or emailed with a request or question. I had laparoscopic surgery in March 2023 and was up and walking without pain one day later. The egg retrieval and transfer process went very smoothly, and I never experienced any pain. I like to call the surgical facility the Kofinas Spa because Dr. George considered every detail when caring for vulnerable women. From soft pink hospital gowns to sedation for nerve-racking procedures such as embryo transfers, he covered every detail to ensure a comfortable experience. IVF is difficult, but Dr. G and his staff made it possible. I will always be grateful to them.

8 years ago, other doctors told me that my stage 4 endometriosis made preserving my fertility nearly impossible. I am so glad I did my research and found Kofinas Fertility Group. Dr. George Kofinas surgically removed all the endometriosis tissue and kept the condition under control until I was ready to have a child. He and his team truly preserved my fertility. Tomorrow I will graduate from his clinic at 11 weeks pregnant with the baby I have dreamed of all my life. The Long Island team is wonderful. I cannot express how grateful I am to the nurses and staff. Diana and Michelle have been so patient with me over the years, answering every question, no matter how small. Roxanne and Catherine always knew how to start my morning with a smile and put me at ease. Bridget and Jennifer were also incredibly understanding and encouraging. I am writing this review today with mixed emotions because I am 11 weeks pregnant and successfully graduating from Kofinas, which would not have been possible without Dr. George Kofinas and his excellent team at the Roslyn Heights office. From my first day at the clinic, they clearly explained every step of the process in detail and answered all my questions that day and throughout treatment. Their portal quickly provided results and recommendations, and I could get answers even when the clinic was closed. Their on-call doctors were always available by phone and were as caring and helpful as the clinic staff. From our first appointment with Dr. George Kofinas, he and his team were consistently kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and thorough. The Roslyn office is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Bridgette and Jennifer at the front desk always greeted me with smiles and gladly answered questions about appointments, procedures, and finances. Michelle, Roxanna, Dianna, and Catherine were also consistently warm and welcoming, providing excellent care and preparing me for appointments with Dr. Kofinas. Dr. Kofinas and Dr. Narine had excellent bedside manners and were gentle during monitoring. They are experts who clearly know their work. I wanted to write this review for many reasons, but mainly because of uterine fibroids. When my husband and I began trying for a second child without success, we discovered that the fibroid that developed during my first pregnancy had never disappeared and was still large. A friend recommended another fertility doctor, who advised me to find a random surgeon to remove it through major surgery with a long recovery. That did not feel right, and I began to lose hope. Every time I searched for a fertility doctor specializing in fibroids, I found nothing. Finally, my regular OB-GYN recommended Dr. Kofinas. I immediately read the reviews and found one person's story very similar to mine, so I had to try. From the moment I entered Dr. Kofinas's office, I felt comfortable and understood. I am very afraid of surgery, and he was the first person to make me feel at ease about it. He performed the surgery laparoscopically, with minimal pain and only a small scar, and I was back to normal within two weeks. I could not believe it. Less than six months after surgery, I conceived my miracle baby. If you are struggling with fertility issues, especially uterine fibroids, Dr. Kofinas is the doctor to see. I was ready to give up my dream of expanding my family, but he restored my confidence, and now I am living that dream. I cannot thank him and his wonderful team enough! :)

Today I returned to Dr. George Kofinas to plan for baby number two. I had not been to his office since 2023. I have stage II endometriosis, underwent surgery in November 2023, and conceived naturally in May 2023. My son is now 20 months old, and we look forward to having Dr. Kofinas by our side again throughout the process. Dr. Kofinas and his entire staff are a blessing to anyone struggling to conceive. He was the first doctor I met who was determined to identify the problem and find a solution. Since finding him, I have recommended him to many couples, and I hope my review helps others seeking an excellent doctor and team. I especially like Bridget at the front desk. Everyone makes you feel important, rather than like a dollar sign as at many fertility centers. I trust Dr. Kofinas and his staff to help us expand our family. Dr. Nairn and Dr. Kofinas completely mishandled my frozen embryo transfer cycle. The clinic had already struggled to access my cervix. I repeatedly asked Dr. Nairn to dilate it before transfer, but she ignored and dismissed my requests. Instead of addressing the obvious issue, she charged me for 4 unnecessary PRP treatments at $450 each, which also lack scientific support. After the procedure began, I awoke to learn that Dr. Kofinas had canceled the cycle because he could not access my cervix—exactly as I had predicted. I was devastated. I spent thousands of dollars, and they wasted my time, money, insurance benefits, and an entire year. The failed transfer was their fault because they did not listen. When I told Dr. Nairn she had known about the problem and could have addressed it beforehand, her only response was, “Understood.” Their negligence forced me to move my final embryo to another facility. After cancellation, Dr. Nairn called and proposed, “I will demonstrate to Dr. Kofinas how to perform the transfer during another mock transfer.” A junior doctor teaching a more experienced doctor how to do his job was shocking and unacceptable. There were many other problems. I was understimulated during ovarian stimulation and obtained only two embryos, while other clinics use much higher doses. The clinic lost my husband’s blood sample and made him return for repeat genetic testing without an apology. They put everyone through a completely unnecessary mock cycle, wasting time and money and delaying frozen transfer. When I reviewed my records, I found that Dr. Nairn documented counseling me about several matters, including metformin and IVF risks, when she had not done so. One nurse, whose name I do not remember, was very unkind when I merely asked another nurse what else I could do to support my protocol. Instead of responding compassionately, she gaslighted me and angrily said anything I did would double my stress, while her own presence was what actually stressed me. The reception staff were also extremely rude and rolled their eyes at patients. I also learned that Dr. Kofinas performs every embryo transfer rather than the physician managing the cycle. This is why he did not know my history and failed to address my cervical issue, which another clinic’s doctor was able to solve. Finally, this clinic charges excessively, orders numerous unnecessary tests, and still mishandles the process. They treated me like an ATM rather than a patient. Fertility patients are extremely vulnerable, and this care is sensitive, private, and deeply important. Instead of understanding that, they treated me as a talking wallet. I should not be writing this review; I should be holding my first child. They exploited my vulnerability as a patient and took that hope from me.

**Age 43 | Diminished Ovarian Reserve** Today, holding my nearly four-month-old baby, I celebrated my embryo-transfer anniversary with profound gratitude. I have much to say about **Kofinas Fertility Group**, but I will be concise because I was once the mother searching reviews late at night for answers. When I began, my physician told me, “Do not bother. You are over 40 and have very few eggs left. Use donor eggs.” I refused to give up before starting. I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve at another clinic at 39 and moved to Kofinas at 41. I already had embryos elsewhere and chose to transfer them here—the best decision of my life. Had I stayed, I believe those embryos might have been lost in failed transfers. My periods had been irregular all my life, yet my previous clinic never asked. **Dr. George Kofinas** did. He discovered endometriosis and a tubal cyst that others had missed. The clinic specializes in immunotherapy, whose importance in IVF I cannot emphasize enough. My former clinic never performed comprehensive testing. Kofinas conducts extensive evaluation to give patients the best chance at embryo transfer. It is a process, but that is why their success rates are high. They also offer platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment for the ovaries and uterus, a major reason I transferred. I learned PRP had been used successfully in Europe and wanted every chance to improve egg quality and create a healthy embryo. The clinic’s willingness to plan ahead, use advanced treatments, and overlook no detail mattered greatly to me. Before transfer, Dr. Kofinas recommended a mock transfer, as he does for all patients. They evaluated my uterus, immune system, and optimal implantation conditions. This revealed endometriosis and elevated natural killer cells (NK cells), crucial information. By identifying and managing these factors in advance, he optimized my body for implantation. I will never forget entering the office while waiting to learn whether my two eggs had become embryos. When my name was called, Dr. Kofinas greeted me with a broad smile and held up one finger. He said, “Girl.” I said, “What?!” He smiled: “One egg is normal—and it is a girl.” I screamed and cried with joy. At 42, I underwent laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis, which he explained affected egg quality, and followed his advice to try again. He was right. At 42, I conceived a normal baby girl with my own egg—the baby I hold today. Here you will meet a strict, determined doctor fully committed to your interests. I heard things I did not want to hear, but he always advocated for me. He performed my tests personally, answered every question even when repeated, and remained patient and attentive. I never received such care at my previous clinic. He thinks beyond standard approaches, individualizes treatment, offers supplement guidance, and clearly loves his work. The entire team is excellent: Bridget, Nicole, Michelle, and Dianna are wonderful. You do not wait weeks for a post-cycle consultation. Dr. Kofinas and his team are approachable. Immunotherapy saved my life. This clinic gave me a miracle. At 42, I became a mother to a baby girl conceived with my own egg. If I could, I would give them a million stars.

I would give them 10 stars! Dr. Kofinas and his team are amazing. Diana always kept me smiling; she was incredibly supportive and funny. I am 48 and had visited two infertility clinics without becoming pregnant. They also could never tell me what was wrong or what was causing my infertility. Then I went to Kofinas. They not only helped me become pregnant, but also diagnosed me so I could understand what was actually happening in my body. It was worth every penny. The diagnoses not only helped me on my path to parenthood, but also improved my quality of life. I am now 8 weeks pregnant with a girl, and it feels like Christmas in my belly. Dr. George Kofinas told me he would “find the cause,” then said, “I will help you fulfill your wish for a complete family.” I did not fully believe him at the time. It took me a long time to write this review because I could not find the right words to express my gratitude to everyone at the Kofinas Long Island and Manhattan offices. Most of my visits were at the Long Island office, where the nurses and physician assistants were very kind and gave me tremendous attention and support throughout my care. Whatever question or concern I raised, they took it seriously and did their best to help. They even recognize every patient, which is rare at most clinics. Dr. Kofinas and Dr. Narine did everything possible to help me, and now that I have “graduated” and will no longer visit every few days, my feelings are bittersweet. I am naturally anxious, but everyone, from the doctors to the receptionists, was kind and considerate and put me at ease, which was essential throughout my fertility journey. A friend recommended Kofinas, and honestly, I was nervous. I am over 50 and worried that I would be turned away, but my experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment I entered the clinic, everyone—from reception to the nurses and doctors—was warm, friendly, and welcoming. Dr. Narine and Dr. Kofinas are highly knowledgeable and took the time to create a personalized treatment plan for me. Thanks to their expert guidance and attentive care, I became pregnant after my second embryo transfer. I am immensely grateful for their support and guidance throughout my fertility journey. Amazing! I just had my egg retrieval!!! At every visit, the doctors seemed incredibly attentive and caring!! They retrieved 53 eggs. I am 34, and I love every one of them.

I’m so grateful to the entire team at Kofinas Fertility Clinic. It actually took me a long time to write this review because I’m a little superstitious—but now I finally can, with my beautiful, healthy baby girl in my arms I began my journey in February 2025, and by July 2025, I was pregnant. I truly credit the care and expertise of Dr. Narine and Dr. George Kofinas. They were knowledgeable, attentive, and made me feel supported every step of the way. The staff at both the Long Island and Manhattan offices were equally amazing—kind, patient, and always willing to help. Going through fertility treatment can be overwhelming, but this team made the experience feel manageable and hopeful. I’m beyond thankful for everything they’ve done for me. I’ll forever be grateful

I love everyone at this clinic! Dianna, Payal, Michelle, and a nurse who draws blood—I think I forgot her name; it is Katherine—everyone is wonderful! Dr. Kofinas is also excellent, very approachable, and always smiling. Even the front desk staff are always cheerful and welcoming. I had a wonderful experience at Kofinas. I had to wake up at 5 a.m. every morning to go to the Roslyn office for monitoring, but they truly made it worthwhile. They were professional and helpful and patiently answered all my questions. I felt excellent throughout the treatment process.

My fertility journey began three years ago at another clinic. They told me everything was normal and that my failed transfers were simply bad luck. Over two years, I went through two complete IVF cycles and two failed transfers, even though all the embryos had perfect genetic testing results. Eventually, I decided to leave and try another clinic. I chose Kofinas, and I am so glad I did. Many people online say Kofinas is very expensive...that is simply not true...the prices are comparable to other IVF clinics—which says something for self-pay patients—but in my experience, you get so much more here! My physician was George Kofinas. From the beginning, he recommended extensive testing to determine why both of my transfers had ended in chemical pregnancies. There had to be a reason my body could not sustain a pregnancy. I am grateful that he did not suggest moving straight to another transfer or egg retrieval. After a series of tests, I learned that I had endometriosis and high NK cell levels; my body was essentially fighting the pregnancy and attacking the embryo. I already had a history of multiple sclerosis, so my immune system was highly dysregulated. From the start, I was impressed by every appointment and follow-up: I saw a doctor every time, not a nurse. The doctor explained my medications in detail and sent the information to my patient portal so I could review it at any time. The clinic also kept medications on hand, so if I was running low or urgently needed something, I could pick it up at any time...that gave me great peace of mind. My emails were always answered, and none of my questions were ever ignored. Every patient there is treated as an individual, with a plan tailored to their specific needs, rather than as just a number. Some clinics use the same protocol for every patient and simply hope for the best...but Kofinas is different...every case is unique, and Dr. Kofinas does everything possible to help the patient succeed. After about a year of treatment there, my multiple sclerosis unfortunately relapsed, and I had to pause treatment. I had already started taking supplements and medications to prepare for an embryo transfer, but had to stop...While I was being treated for multiple sclerosis, I became pregnant unexpectedly. Sadly, it was an ectopic pregnancy, but although it was heartbreaking, it was also the first time in my life that I had conceived naturally, so perhaps things were finally improving. All the supplements and medications had made some difference. I was incredibly grateful to be a Kofinas patient during such a difficult situation because, within hours of learning about the ectopic pregnancy, my surgery was arranged for that same day. They did not send me to a hospital or emergency room; they arranged everything, and I only had to arrive on time. After the ectopic pregnancy was removed laparoscopically, we proceeded with an embryo transfer, and this time it worked! I will soon be graduating from the clinic, and I am afraid to leave Kofinas. I hope my next doctor will be as kind as Dr. Kofinas and that the staff will be as friendly as everyone here. From the front desk through the end of every appointment, everyone was kind, helpful, and understanding...This journey has not been easy, but this place definitely made everything easier ❤️.

I have nothing but praise for every member of the Kofinas Fertility Center team. From my first consultation, I felt heard and understood—not treated like just another case. Dr. Kofinas was determined to find the root cause of my problems, and through comprehensive testing and treatment, he ultimately did. I could not be more grateful. Anyone who has undergone fertility treatment knows how exhausting it can be to visit the clinic every other day for monitoring. Yet everyone, from the front desk staff to the nurses, was so kind and welcoming. Their positive attitude made those early mornings much easier. Whenever I needed help or was worried about something, I could contact the nurses or Payal and receive a prompt response—even on weekends. I am deeply grateful for that level of care and dedication. I sincerely hope every one of you knows how grateful I am. You played an essential role in helping me achieve my dream. Your compassion, support, and dedication made an enormous difference throughout the process. You will always be part of my family's story, and I will always be grateful for everything you did for us.

I strongly urge caution to anyone considering Dr. George Kofinas. Before my January 2025 laparoscopy, his office arranged tests I explicitly declined because I had completed the same tests at his brother's office days earlier. My concerns were ignored, and more than a year later they are demanding about $1,500 for tests I believed were never performed. This is unacceptable and feels deceptive. On the day of surgery, I expected Dr. Kofinas to operate as he had stated. Someone else performed the surgery without informing me or obtaining my consent, a serious breach of trust. Obtaining my records was also a nightmare. I requested them in summer 2025, but the clinic delayed for months and released them only after I threatened a HIPAA complaint. Patients should not have to chase or threaten action to receive their records. The entire experience reflected poor communication, lack of transparency, and disregard for informed consent. I regret not posting sooner, but the continuing billing issue compels me to warn others. Use extreme caution.

A close friend recommended Dr. George Kofinas to help us conceive. Dr. Kofinas thoroughly investigated potential issues and found several problems that could otherwise have prevented pregnancy. He recommended surgery, and we were pregnant less than a year later. Dr. Kofinas and his staff were very professional and kind during our visits. We did not want anything sugarcoated or procedures that wasted time. We wanted the facts, which left us very satisfied, and more importantly, he helped make the birth of our child possible!
