Dr Jennifer Hsu, États-Unis


Jennifer Hsu, M.D., a obtenu une bourse complète d’excellence pour ses études de premier cycle à la University of Virginia, où elle a ensuite poursuivi ses études de médecine. Étudiante en médecine à l’UVA, elle a développé ses recherches à l’étranger, à Quetzaltenango au Guatemala, et a reçu le prix Outstanding Medical Student de la Medical Alumni Association (MAA).

Dr Hsu a effectué son internat au Columbia University Medical Center, puis une formation spécialisée en endocrinologie de la reproduction et infertilité (REI) au Massachusetts General Hospital de Boston.

Dr Hsu est certifiée en obstétrique-gynécologie et en REI. Elle est membre de l’ACOG, de la SREI, de l’ASRM et de la Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS).

Chercheuse polyvalente, Dr Hsu a contribué à plus de 15 présentations nationales sur l’IIU, l’hormone anti-müllérienne (AMH) et le syndrome des ovaires polykystiques. Elle a également évalué des articles pour des publications telles que le Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics.

Dr Hsu a été conférencière et examinatrice orale à la Harvard Medical School. Elle a également soutenu des communautés rurales en fournissant gratuitement des services médicaux et de santé des femmes dans le cadre de programmes de proximité en Appalachie.

Dr Hsu est retournée en Virginie pour rejoindre le centre SGF de Woodbridge. Parlant couramment espagnol, elle propose des soins de fertilité à des communautés diverses.

From the first day of our journey, Dr. Xu, Adrian, and the entire team provided exceptional care. We never felt rushed and always felt like more than just another patient. As we overcame fertility challenges, having such a caring and attentive team was essential to maintaining hope for our future child. Under the team's attentive care, we retrieved a large number of eggs and completed PGT-A testing. Our first frozen embryo transfer was successful, and our ideal son was born in February, just over 10 months after my first egg-retrieval injection. We cannot wait to work with the team again in the near future!

My husband and I had an unforgettable experience under the care of Dr. Xu and the entire Woodbridge team. They were knowledgeable and compassionate and eased our concerns and anxiety while we tried to conceive. We are very grateful for their help and support. I cannot praise Dr. Hsu and her team at Shady Grove in Woodbridge enough. My husband and I had been unable to conceive on our own, so I did my research. Although another Shady Grove location is closer to my home, I specifically drove 40 minutes to see Dr. Hsu and her team. Everyone was kind, caring, compassionate, and genuinely supportive and wanted to help me become pregnant. Everyone knew my name and sincerely cared about our outcome. We completed two IUI cycles. The first failed, but the second succeeded! I am now 12 weeks pregnant and have no complaints. I do not know another place or team I would trust with such a sensitive issue. Shady Grove Fertility is an excellent place to build a family. From the front desk staff and nurses to the doctors, everyone is attentive and patient. I had a wonderful experience with this clinic and its staff. I always felt comfortable and at home during visits. The staff speak gently and compassionately. Their love for their work is clear from how they treated me throughout the process. I tried to build my family with them for more than two years, and they never made me feel uncomfortable or discouraged. Dr. Hsu was very kind and encouraging. She always recommended alternative options to help me move through the process. Nurse Adrienne was warm and approachable. She handled scheduling and ensured I understood the next steps. They both went above and beyond to make my treatment at Shady Grove smooth. Graduating from their care was one of the happiest moments of my life! I recommend this place to everyone who wants to start building a family. Thank you to all the Shady Grove staff; you will always hold a special place in my heart.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Shady Grove. Dr. Xu was kind, knowledgeable, and encouraging. We had struggled with recurrent miscarriages and then were unable to conceive. I am now holding our newborn son, all thanks to Dr. Xu, Adrienne, and everyone at Shady Grove. Our first intrauterine insemination (IUI) was successful. They were very organized throughout the process and made sure we understood the plan at every step. Everyone we met was kind and gave us hope. Going through miscarriage and infertility is extremely difficult. I am very grateful to Dr. Xu and everyone who helped us along the way. I highly recommend them to anyone struggling to become or remain pregnant. Words cannot express our gratitude!

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service at Shady Grove. On October 2, my spouse and I consulted Dr. Xu. During the consultation, Dr. Xu advised that because we had an embryo in Puerto Rico, it would be best to have the transfer performed there while receiving pre- and post-procedure care from Shady Grove. Based on that recommendation, I scheduled the transfer with the clinic in Puerto Rico. However, when I later contacted Shady Grove to arrange the related care, I waited an entire week for a response and was then told that the clinic no longer provides pre- and post-procedure care for transfers performed elsewhere. This delay and poor communication caused significant distress and wasted time. If the policy has changed, all physicians must be informed promptly so patients can make informed decisions. A one-week response time for a prospective patient is also unacceptable. Because of this situation, I may have to cancel the planned transfer in Puerto Rico because my husband, a service member, will deploy at the end of December. Given the area's large military community, I am surprised that Shady Grove offers no support for circumstances like ours. I hope you take this feedback seriously and review your communication and service processes to prevent similar problems in the future.

My experience during treatment at SGF was absolutely wonderful! Every staff member was excellent. My care team never let me down and always followed up promptly during treatment. Dr. Xu was very kind, and thanks to her and her team, my husband and I conceived and welcomed our baby boy! A dream come true!

Shady Grove Fertility in Woodbridge sets a standard of care that no other clinic has matched. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel supported, well informed, and genuinely cared for. We have visited many clinics over the years, but none compared with the compassion and attention we received here. We truly miss the care we received at SGF. As the pregnancy progresses, we often wish they could care for us throughout it. The difference in care elsewhere makes us appreciate even more how special this clinic is. Special thanks to Dr. Xu, Adriane, Lorena, and Charise. Each of you played an essential role in guiding and encouraging us and making us feel seen and supported at every step. My experience at Shady Grove Fertility was very different from what I expected when beginning fertility treatment. I anticipated a cold, impersonal setting, but was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Xu and her team are knowledgeable and professional, but what impressed me most was their care, empathy, and genuine warmth. This journey is emotionally difficult, and positive support and guidance from professionals were deeply reassuring. Courtney, the clinical team's PCC, accompanied me throughout prescreening. I appreciated her encouragement and prompt responses, which made the process less intimidating. I am still in treatment and hoping for a good outcome, but I am very grateful to have such an excellent team beside me.

Ms. Courtney has been very kind to me. Whenever I call, she is always happy to answer all my questions. Even when I ask the same question repeatedly, she remains patient and listens carefully to everything I say. The staff at SG are also friendly and respectful. I love it here. Words cannot express how grateful I am to this team. Nurse Tutu was outstanding during all my ultrasounds. She was gentle, caring, knowledgeable, and reassuring and always took time to make me feel comfortable and cared for. My nurse and phlebotomist Lorena was wonderful. She was highly skilled and so gentle that I could barely feel the needle, which meant a great deal because I am very afraid of needles. She always brought a calm, positive energy that immediately put me at ease. Charise at the front desk was equally excellent. She was always welcoming, friendly, thoughtful, and patient in answering questions. From the moment you enter the clinic, she makes you feel fully cared for. I willingly drive farther to receive care from this team because they are truly exceptional. They gave me tremendous comfort and support throughout treatment at SGF, and I sincerely appreciate every one of them. Their compassion, kindness, and dedication made all the difference. My experience at SGF Woodbridge has been absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I am so blessed to have worked with Dr. Hsu, Adriane, Tutu, Cherise, and the entire team, who made me feel so welcome while being efficient and caring with my needs. From the moment you walk into the clinic, Cherise greets you with the biggest smile. She remembers every patient’s name and is always so kind and positive, making every visit that much better. Adriane is equally amazing. She is always quick to respond, helpful, and always makes sure my questions and concerns are addressed. Nurse Tutu is also incredible. She always greets every patient with warmth and friendliness and offers comfort when you are feeling nervous. Her compassion and genuine care for her patients make her an outstanding physician. Dr. Hsu is one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. She makes you feel like you are just chatting with a friend. Her medical expertise and bedside manner are exceptional—she is patient, thorough, genuinely cares about her patients, listens carefully, and is always reassuring and supportive. I recommend Dr. Xu to everyone struggling with infertility. I was with SFG for about 3 years and am very grateful that Dr. Xu was my provider. My first cycle was unsuccessful, but Dr. Xu did not give up and gave me hope. We performed a fresh transfer, which worked very well. I am expecting my first child, and I personally believe I could not have continued without Dr. Xu and her wonderful staff. Thank you 😊
