My experience at Shady Grove Fertility was extremely disappointing. Fertility treatment requires a high degree of administrative accuracy and empathy, yet we faced unnecessary stress at every turn. The problems began immediately: my husband's and my patient portal accounts were completely switched. Correcting this simple administrative error took far too long, and we had to redo everything manually. Later, when I proactively asked whether certain laboratory tests could be added to improve the diagnostic process, the patient care coordinator repeatedly refused outright without any collaborative discussion. Everything fell apart during our first laboratory appointments. My husband's morning appointment went smoothly, but my appointment at 1:15 p.m. was unacceptable. After arranging coverage for my own patients, I used my lunch break for the 1:15 p.m. appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early and waited quietly for more than 40 minutes, only to be told by the front desk, “It will be a little longer.” When I explained that I also had patients waiting, the staff merely offered to reschedule me. Even worse, the patient care coordinator tried to “defuse” the situation by saying, “You work in healthcare, so you should understand.” This is an important learning opportunity for your team. It is precisely because I work in healthcare that I know this behavior is unacceptable. A medical background does not excuse a clinic for disrespecting a patient's time. On the contrary, it highlights how easily communication and empathy could have addressed the delay. People experiencing infertility carry an enormous emotional burden. We expected care that reflected this reality, but instead we felt ignored.

Five stars are not enough to express my gratitude to Dr. Gay and the entire SGF team. From our first consultation at the front desk through discharge and ultimately graduation to obstetric care, they consistently provided exceptional support, kindness, and detailed answers. They felt like more than our medical team; they were our strongest supporters. Our nurse Kyleigh was also outstanding: knowledgeable, warm, compassionate, and an ideal example of excellent nursing. My husband and I never imagined it would be so difficult to leave a clinic, but their exceptional medical care and genuine concern for patients made graduation incredibly emotional. I am deeply grateful and wish I could fully express my appreciation. SGF gave us so much, and we will always be grateful that they are part of our story. 🩷

My husband and I have had an amazing experience with Shady Grove Alpharetta. We started our journey in August of 2024 and I am truly so thankful we found this facility and they supported me throughout all the ups and downs of IUI and IVF. Obviously it’s a scary situation, IVF is not how you dream of building your family, nor is a fertility clinic the place you dream of becoming a “regular” at, but I felt so seen and heard by Dr. Gay and his entire staff. The journey was very long, and infertility does require quite a bit of self advocacy, but I always felt like my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed. Nurse Kyleigh is truly the kindest soul, and she is always there and reachable for questions and worries. You can tell everyone here really cares for you and wants to see your success. I never had any issues with billing, insurance, or administration which is a huge relief as this process could’ve easily been made harder by those factors. You will be in the best hands with Dr. Gay and Kyleigh!

Dr. Guy was highly knowledgeable and supportive throughout treatment. Before we began, he took time to get to know my husband and me. His kind manner and years of experience helped us navigate the uncertainty of unexplained infertility. Every staff member we met at Shady Grove was professional and compassionate. We welcomed our baby this January. I would recommend Dr. Guy to family and friends experiencing infertility.

The staff are wonderful, caring, and attentive. Although all testing and examinations take place at the Sandy Springs office, it is nearby and very convenient. There is ample parking, and every visit has been pleasant.

I am reluctant to write this review but hope it helps others. I truly tried to give the clinic a chance, but Dr. Guy only cared whether I wanted IVF. If I did not, he showed no interest. During three years of breast cancer treatment I met many excellent doctors, and after chemotherapy I wanted another child. He was pleasant, but focused only on IVF and, despite our repeated refusal, on collecting my husband's bodily fluid and blood. We were very unhappy. Explaining ourselves repeatedly was exhausting, and he was pushy. High staff turnover is another problem. They do not review the chart, so you must repeat everything again and again. The clinic is frequently confused. Again, I sincerely tried to give the clinic a chance, but something always felt wrong. I genuinely hope they improve, because it is a shame.

I spent years seeking answers but made no progress at Shady Grove. It turned out that my so-called ‘unexplained infertility’ was actually undiagnosed stage II endometriosis. The staff were friendly, but if you truly want to understand what is happening in your body, I suggest looking elsewhere. Fortunately, I found a NaPro specialist who finally answered my longstanding questions.

My pre-op nurses Taneka and Janice were wonderful. Nurse Alvanetta's comfort and encouragement greatly reassured me. I am very grateful to them!

A life-changing experience at Shady Grove Fertility. I am delighted to share that I finally became pregnant after IVF treatment at Shady Grove Fertility. Although it took three IVF cycles, I benefited greatly from the entire team's attentive care and support. From the nurses to the laboratory staff, everyone was kind, professional, and encouraging throughout. Dr. Gay and the team always answered my questions patiently and guided me through the entire process with compassion. If you are on this journey, do not lose hope. Sometimes it takes time, but with the right team, anything is possible. I am very grateful to SGF for helping me realize this dream. Thank you for bringing hope—and now life—into my world.

We cannot praise Dr. Guy and his staff enough! After disliking our initial consultation at another clinic, we transferred here. I was nervous because I truly wanted a doctor and facility that made me comfortable. Dr. Guy and the staff were always attentive and welcoming and took time to answer every question or concern. Portal responses were very fast. Appointments were quick and easy to fit around work because early options were available. Dr. Guy discussed our results and the advantages and disadvantages of every fertility treatment. We never felt rushed into IVF and ultimately became pregnant at the clinic using a less invasive treatment! After more than two years of trying, we are extremely grateful to Shady Grove Fertility. We cannot wait to welcome our baby in September! If you are considering fertility treatment, I highly recommend SGF!

I can’t say enough about Shady Grove Alpharetta! They have helped my husband and I start our family and they walk us through every step. I consider them family at this point because they have encouraged, supported and just aided us through this crazy journey. Thankful and blessed for their services. I’d recommend them to anyone. UPDATE: We welcomed our beautiful baby girl on 12/10/24. We have been wanting a child for two years and they made our dreams come true. We owe you all so much.

I had the best experience at Shady Grove! Dr. Guy, Nurse Katie, and all the women at this location provided the best care I have ever received. They communicated exceptionally well, and appointments were efficient and thorough. The staff were organized and cheerful. I have since met three other families who chose Shady Grove for fertility treatment, and we all agree that we highly recommend them. I am very grateful to SGA for successful treatment and our journey to a healthy, happy IVF baby. I cannot wait to return!

My experience with this facility was terrible. I began this journey with Dr. Guy at their office on March 10, 2025, and completed several tests. I requested follow-up but never received it. Their response time was awful, particularly Melissa, I believe her name was. When I realized they were not taking me seriously, I requested that my records be transferred elsewhere. Time is critical for me. No one ever called to discuss my results. To date, I have had to use ChatGPT to understand them. I am deeply disappointed with this practice. If this is how they treat women in similar situations, they do not deserve their patients. Their name fits—they are very shady.
