Fécondation in vitro (FIV)

Do not go to this clinic. Billing is a nightmare, and communication is terrible. This is the worst place for IVF treatment. They only want to squeeze every last cent out of you while providing abysmal service. Our problems started on day one. Our first in-person appointment was suddenly changed to telehealth because the doctor supposedly had an emergency to handle. However, when we logged in, the doctor was clearly sitting in the office. Meanwhile, the clinic manager, Ashley, aggressively demanded payment before the telehealth consultation began. Their inefficiency is shocking. It took the doctor a full four weeks to review the medical records we uploaded on the first day. Communication between the clinical and billing departments was severely disjointed; billing had no idea when our procedure would begin, which delayed our prior authorization. I spent two full weeks calling and emailing them. They claimed a system malfunction had prevented notifications from being sent and that my message had been ‘missed,’ even though they had clearly seen my earlier emails. Even worse, our insurance company contacted RMA five times to request medical records, but Ashley completely ignored them. I believe this clinic violated California medical billing law. They force you to pay the full amount upfront and then hold your money until the insurance company finally pays. Save yourself the unnecessary trouble and go elsewhere.

Dr. Jin and the entire RMA team were warm and approachable, providing attentive, compassionate care at every stage of treatment. Although it was sometimes difficult to reach certain team members, my overall experience was excellent.

Dr. Randi and her entire staff are outstanding. At every appointment and in every interaction, I felt their genuine care and warmth. Dr. Randi is kind, attentive, and professional, and her dedication to her patients is clear. I am very grateful for their excellent care and compassion and highly recommend them.

I just completed an egg-retrieval cycle with Dr. Randi at RMA Los Angeles. I was very satisfied with the entire process. From the initial consultation, Dr. Randi spent at least 45 minutes, possibly longer, explaining female fertility, relevant statistics, and the egg-freezing process. I ultimately decided to proceed, and I am very glad I did. RMA made the process easy, and I felt I received excellent care. After closely following all the detailed instructions, my retrieval cycle was very successful. Dr. Randi was highly skilled, and my phlebotomist Jacqueline was equally outstanding. I saw her at every appointment. She was very professional and always made me feel comfortable and well cared for. She added a human touch to an intimidating and complicated process. My nurse on retrieval day was Elizabeth, who was also wonderful and made me feel very relaxed. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone interested in learning about egg freezing.

I know this review is long overdue, but I still want to express my gratitude to RMA Southern California. In June 2023, after struggling with unexplained infertility, we began our journey at RMA. Under the attentive care of Dr. Kim and nurse Katia, we started IVF in January 2024. Their compassion, clear explanations, and support made this emotional journey manageable and even hopeful. They always answered my questions patiently and made me feel genuinely cared for at every step. We have now welcomed our daughter, and I truly could not have reached this point without them. I am deeply grateful to the entire team and recommend them to anyone facing fertility challenges.

After speaking with Ashley and Dr. Kim, I changed my rating from one star to four. They sincerely addressed my concerns and handled the matter appropriately. Dr. Kim's follow-up care matched the excellent care I received during my first egg-freezing cycle, and I would readily recommend him as a provider. Although I may never know what caused the front desk's behavior a few days earlier, I hope the issue is taken seriously and prevented from happening again. — I previously froze my eggs at RMA SoCal and had a good experience with Dr. Landay. I am now preparing for fertilization and tried to find out when I could be scheduled because my insurance is about to expire. Since Dr. Landay was fully booked, I scheduled a telehealth consultation with Dr. Kim. He also told me that because time was limited, I might need another option if no opening became available, so the team would follow up in advance. When I received no follow-up, I called on the day of my appointment with Dr. Kim and was told there was no record of it. Not only had no one followed up, they had lost my appointment—something I had never experienced at any clinic. It was not entered on the wrong date; there was simply no record at all. The front desk said she would contact Dr. Kim to see whether he could still see me at the scheduled time, since his calendar seemed to have an opening, and would call right back. Twenty minutes after the appointment time, I still had no update. I called several more times and reached voicemail. Suspecting they were ignoring my number, I called from another one—and they answered. As soon as I identified myself, she said she had another call, asked me to hold, then after 7 minutes sent me to voicemail. I tried again; someone briefly answered amid rustling sounds, then transferred me to voicemail. They clearly did not want to speak with me. I hope they merely mishandled my appointment. This was a frightening experience with a clinic storing my frozen eggs. I have never encountered such unprofessional conduct at any medical facility. If Dr. Kim or Dr. Landay sees this, please call me. I am clearly getting nowhere with the front desk.

Unfortunately, my experience at RMA SoCal began very poorly. I was directed to administrative manager Ashley with questions about my informed consent form. She quickly became impatient, spoke condescendingly, and repeatedly interrupted me. When I asked her to let me finish, she said “no” and stated that she had other patients to attend to. She then told me that because I would not sign before my questions were answered, my appointment would be canceled and their legal team would contact me. This felt like a missed opportunity to establish trust at the beginning of care. The consent form explicitly encourages patients to ask questions, yet mine were dismissed arrogantly and rudely. Being pressured to sign without a full discussion, followed by hostility when I raised questions, made me deeply uncomfortable and unheard. Even if their legal team eventually contacts me, this experience alone has made me question whether the clinic truly respects patient concerns. I am sharing this so others understand how consent questions may be handled before deciding to proceed.

I am incredibly grateful for RMA's attentive care and professionalism. From check-in and scheduling through treatment, the entire team was proactive, responsive, and genuinely kind, making a potentially overwhelming process feel easy to navigate. My nurses stayed in contact, returned calls promptly, and answered my questions by phone or through the app. I always felt supported and well informed. Dr. Landay and her team were outstanding, and I sincerely appreciate their guidance through the egg-freezing process.

Dr. Siedhoff and his team deserve every compliment. He listened carefully, explained everything clearly, and reassured me at my most frightened. His team showed empathy and patience, making me feel truly understood and accepted. I highly recommend him.

They only want to take your money!! I came here and was immediately diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) without any hormone laboratory tests or health screening. When I heard this sudden diagnosis, Dr. Ghazal exclaimed that I was ‘lucky’ and had me sit down with her financial coordinator to discuss how I planned to pay tens of thousands of dollars for IUI and IVF treatments. The bloodwork she ordered included only a CBC and T4. There was no day-21 testing, no testosterone test, and no other testing related to my hormonal balance. I waited for a second opinion from an OB-GYN and was told that I definitely did not have PCOS and was actually very healthy. I worried about my fertility for months for no reason, and I am convinced this organization exploits perfectly healthy women for financial gain.

An unexpected bill suddenly appeared on my account without warning, and they did not correct it for a year. Ridiculous.
27/02/2025
I tried to schedule an initial appointment but had to cancel because of illness. Even though I called to cancel, I was still charged a $50 cancellation fee. I have repeatedly tried to contact billing but cannot reach anyone or get a return call. I am leaving this review for others seeking fertility treatment. Infertility is difficult enough, but dealing with a clinic that lacks understanding and responsiveness makes the process even more stressful. Patients seeking fertility treatment already face significant emotional and financial burdens. Being charged despite giving appropriate notice, with no way to resolve the issue, feels unfair. A clinic that truly cares about patients should prioritize clear communication and compassion, not just policies that add to patients' stress.

This place is absolutely the worst. I made an appointment and called the day before to confirm it, then received a call later that day saying they had to cancel at the last minute, even though I had booked a month in advance. This was only the first appointment. I cannot imagine how disorganized they are, especially given how much I would be paying for these services.

Thanks to Dr. Kim's guidance and the staff's warm support, my husband and I were able to complete our infertility journey with hope and confidence. Our experience at RMA was wonderful and will always remain a meaningful and treasured part of our lives.

Dr. Landay and the RMA staff were a pleasure to work with during my egg retrieval and freezing. From logistics and patient care to answering every question, they were attentive and flexible, making an otherwise daunting process simple and convenient. Thank you to the RMA team for all your hard work💞
